Gun Shows and Gun Buying Breaking Records, Gun prices up, Innocent people protected by guns, More Americans distrustful of government, Second Amendment right

“Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA – ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve the State.”…Heinrich Himmler

“The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference – they deserve a place of honor with all that’s good”…George Washington

“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.”…Abraham Lincoln

Guns are a tool for me, just as a hammer and saw are. I don’t love them and I don’t hate them.

I attended the Winston Salem Gun Show on Saturday. There were many gun enthusiasts there. For me however, the thrill was that the Second Amendment is still alive and we could freely walk about and purchase guns and ammunition.

Due to supply and demand and worries about government control and increasing crime, the price of guns has gone up significantly over the past several months.

“Gun Shows and Gun Buying Breaking Records”

“Americans are becoming even more distrustful of their government. They are also fearful of a segment of society that is hell-bent on taking our lives and property. It’s bad enough that our legislators vote to steal our money. If it’s OK for politicians to act illegally, dismissing their oath to uphold the Constitution that they swore to obey, so why is it wrong for others to break into our homes and take the money directly?

The Constitution doesn’t give elected officials the authority to take our money in ever greater amounts, and yet they do it every election cycle. Street-walking thieves are using the same logic. “If Congress can violate the law, why can’t we?”

What’s different about a thief dressed in a suit and tie who votes to use the power of the State to take our money and some guy dressed in black Hoodie who creeps around in the dark to do it?

At least we can protect ourselves against the creeping thieves, but not if the government passes laws that make it illegal to buy and own guns for protection. A woman in Georgia protected herself and her children after a man broke into the house with a crowbar and began ransacking the house. The woman hid in a closet with her twin daughters but not before getting a .38-caliber revolver she kept in the house. When the intruder opened the closet door, the protective mother shot the suspect five times in the face and neck.

Since Congress and the President may try to pass laws to make us defenseless, Americans are stocking up on weapons as insurance against thieves, rapists, and murderers. That’s why we’re seeing evidence of record gun buying from Florida to California.

“Nearly 8,000 people attended the first day of the Florida Gun Shows’ exhibition this weekend in Orlando, according to event organizers.

“Crowds broke records on Saturday, and organizers said it’s possible they’ll see even larger numbers of gun enthusiasts before the weekend ends.

“Hundreds of gun buyers took vouchers that would allow them to return on Sunday because it was difficult to get into Saturday’s events.

“‘[Gun enthusiasts] are buying and they’re buying as fast as they can get them,’ said Victor Bean, promoter for Florida Gun Shows. ‘We’ve had some exhibitors who had to cancel because they didn’t have any inventory from their gun shops.’”

Most Americans do not trust the government.

It’s no wonder that even California is seeing record crowds. More than 6,000 people filled the Ontario Convention Center over the weekend in Ontario, California. This was more than double the number the Crossroads of the West Gun Show promoter expected.

“‘Nationally manufacturers can’t keep up demand for firearms or ammunition,” said Bob Templeton, with Crossroads of the West Gun Shows. ‘There’s no ammunition at stores, I’m understanding, anyway.’”

It’s OK for the Department of Homeland Security to purchase more than 200,000 rounds of ammunition, but your average law-abiding American citizen just trying to protect himself from lawless thugs may be denied the right in the future. If guns and ammunition are outlawed, only outlaws — street thugs and government agencies — will have guns and ammunition.

“‘ATF: Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms’ should be a sign on a convenience store, not a government agency.””

  1. The elite want the guns gone from public hands. The events in Iraq and Afganistan have proven that technology still cannot defeat a determined population with simple weapons. In many ways, recent worldwide conflicts have tested and re-tested these concepts that a populace can be controlled by technology. The elites whom now control the government understand the risk of further crisis with an armed population.

This isn’t about children, more of them die of drowning in swimming pools than of firearms, yet swimming pools remain unregulated. This is about preventing the American people from having control over their own government and existence. I have seen two historical movies were only the police and the military had guns: schindlers list and the killing fields.

Americans patriots can see the train on the tracks now. They are arming themselves.

  2. Subject: Australian Gun Law Update

Hi Yanks, I thought you all would like to see the real
figures from Down Under.(from a Police Officer in Australia)

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law to
surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed byour own
government, a program costing Australia taxpayers
    more than $500 million dollars.

The first year results are now in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent,
    Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6 percent;
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

    In the state of Victoria
lone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent.(Note that
while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not
and criminals still possess their guns!)
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady
decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically
upward in the past 12 months, since the criminals now are guaranteed
    that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and
assaults of the elderly, while the resident is at home.

Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public
safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was
expended in ‘successfully ridding Australian society of guns….’ You
won’t see this on the American evening news or hear your governor or
members of the State Assembly disseminating this information.

The Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the
hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control
laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note Americans, before it’s too late!
Will you be one of the sheep to turn yours in?
    WHY? You will need it.

Please find the tape where the kenyan fraud after his first illegal election said:
“We Are days away from ….Fundamentally Transforming America!” Just maybe now when some people who cheered him would now understand .. WHAT HE MEANT. The video needs to be used over and over everywhere. Let’s start billboards that says it. At least one in every state. Put a picture of him dressed in muslim garb and communist garb. 🙂

  4. Americans Don’t Trust The Dept. Of Homeland Security
January 7, 2013 By George Spelvin

Americans don’t trust the Dept. of Homeland Security

Even though the 2013 Rand McNally road atlas does not identify any town named Glynco, Georgia, this sprawling 1,600 acre campus with its own zip code-31524, is the locus for extensive Department of Homeland Security (DHS) expansion. “Plans are currently underway to build and expand facilities at Glynco to conduct a wide array of programs to support the Homeland Security mission.” Located in the midst of numerous senior citizen and retirement communities, the center is in Golden Isles, “…a series of barrier islands noted for their recreation and retirement living atmospheres,” according to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center description of the area.

This Training Center is listed on page 1 of a recent, enormous, $1.6 billion DHS ammo buy which included radioactive prevention thyroid pills, radiation proof booths, and those nasty, hollow point bullets outlawed by the Geneva Convention protocols Georgia Governor Nathan Deal is one of the governing board members of the newly developed Obama administration’s formula for rapid response within the homeland.

One commenter to a recent story about the DHS ammo purchase writes, ”Everyone must go to the “Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership” website and order the book, Gun Control: Gateway to Tyranny. It fully details how U.S. Gun Control Acts, specifically the 1968 Gun Control Act was lifted verbatim from the 1938 Nazi Weapons Act for total gun ban. It explains that Thomas Dodd, former US Senator Christopher Dodd’s (D-CT) father, was able to obtain the written version of Nazi gun control laws after the Nuremburg Trials which he participated in.”

Another commenter explains: “The courts have consistently ruled that the police do not have an obligation to protect individuals, only the public in general. . .” In Warren v. District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department, 444 A. 2d 1 (D.C. App. 1981) the court concluded without exception “…when a municipality or other governmental entity undertakes to furnish police services, it assumes a duty only to the public at large and not to individual members of the community.” Police responded to only 200,000 of 700,000 calls for help in Dade County according to former Florida Attorney General Jim Smith.

Yet another contributor to the ammo purchase story wrote: “Hitler disarmed the Jews and others, then murdered about 15 million; Stalin disarmed the Russians, then murdered about 40 million; Mao disarmed the Chinese peasants, then murdered nearly 100 million; over 170 million people murdered by their own governments in the 20th Century. . .after they allowed those governments to disarm them!”

Chairman Mao, whose little red book is a liberal professor’s must-read, is quoted as saying, “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.” Stalin would agree, having allegedly said, “The only real power comes out of a long rifle.”

“This whole thing scares me and I feel helpless,” admits Barb on the ammo thread. She speaks on behalf of a lot of Americans who are “feeling helpless” in the face of a $1.6 billion ammo purchase clearly intended for use within the United States. Why is our federal government arming itself against the people it was created to serve? Just what is going on, America?

  6. Ginger,
Obama: “Fundamentally Transforming the United States of America” Long Version

  7. Ginger…………
One of our rights specified by the Bill of Rights is the 2nd amendment, which whether the Fed likes it or not cannot be overriden or taken away by virtue of any alleged executive orders,ETC. The OVEREDUCATED SNOT NOSED WORDSMITHS have been trying for years to RE-INTERPRET the meaning of our ENTIRE CONSTITUTION. I believe that if they had their way it would be completely repealed and they would rather see a container of COCAINE to take it’s place. But NOW we have a FAR MORE SERIOUS problem than that which is going to manifest it’s presence very soon. The US GOVERNMENT WORDSMITHS have done so much RE -interpreting ,twisting, bending, and hammering upon our laws that they have FINALLY driven the next to final nail into their OWN COFFINS. Yep the FED’S CREDIT CARD is about to become MAXED OUT. Her HIGHNESS went to China in a hastily plkanned trip for a reason. The US like Germany at the ensd of WW2 had only one asset left…….LAND. Any land within the borders became fair game as collateral for loans from other countries to rebuild. Well the SLIMEY US POLITICIANS have now maxed out the US CREDIT CARD, and the shot in the arm from China a few years back was TOO LITTLE TOO LATE. EVEN if the FED now taxed all US citizens 100% of their income they can no longer pay down the now upward bounding debt. Thanx to the INSANE behavior of our FED we are now going to be forced to pay the fiddler. What with? But one of the FIDDLERS was China. What exactly did MMMMMMSSSSSSSSSS. IMPORTANT use to secure the SHOT in THE ARM loan from China? Like the GERMANS it was probably LAND having NATURAL RESOURCES in abundance. Do I need to go any further with that one? I now believe that the FED no longer has any wiggle room, and the walls and ceiling are about to come crashing down upon the heads of the WORDSMITHS who will without a doubt will still be trying to reword and otherwise change our laws even as the building that they are sitting in is CRUMBLING. It is so important for these people to FEEL IMPORRRRRRTANT,that they will end up still sitting at their desks up to their necks in debris, and those who survive will still be trying to repeal or re interpret our Constitution. Talk about MORONS! Now let me take all of this ONE STEP FURTHER. Do you own property? Well let me clear the air with regard to property ownership. In actuality NOBODY OWNS ANYTHING. You only pay to hold a piece of paper which is titled as a DEED. Like an automobile you hold a title of ownwership. Well all that really is meant to do is provide your state government with a name of a person to TAX the HELL out of. Likewise at the gasoline pump, another source of revenue for the state. Well if you think you own anything you better rethink it. In reality you own NOTHING,because the FEderal Government ,or the state government can take it from you whenever they choose. I believe that we are soon going to see mass confiscation of property both real and personal. I believe that if China decides that the US is in default of the interest on the loan there will be very grave consequences, and massive portions of the US will become the property of China. This could easily include your farm which has been in your family for generations. Of course everybody has a different viewpoint, but when the REALITY arrives there will no longer be a need to figure it out.

  8. Good Morning All; I usually don’t go for “what ifs” BUT when I think of the second amendment I think of the now convicted and jailed Tony Rezko and his partner Daniel Frawley…These two felons were going to bring 150 Iraqi militants here to Illinois to train to use AK-47’s and other assault weapons…The Syrian born Tony Rezko and the self confessed mentally deranged Frawley….Really, WHAT could go wrong with that scenario? They didn’t vet the men that won the $50 million dollar contract, WHO was going to vet the Iraqi’s? NOW this same government, specifically Obama would like to take away/restrict our ability to defend ourselves…

  9. Remember, Obama and his assistant Seamus Ahern were directly involved with this contract…

  10. Mull this over: Why did they choose Illinois? Was it because Illinois/Chicago has the strictest gun laws than any other state in he country???

  11. If there would ever be a mass internment of citizens of the US it will not be in airconditioned,or nicely furnished buildings. It is more likely that it would be if any shelter was provided at all WW2 type of garrison tents,or 150 square foot shanties as was the case during the depression. Many of the shanty cities grew out of the DUST bowl mass movement of farmers westward. Some of these shanty cities were products of the WPA work projects. Some of these shanty shelters were only 100 square feet. And within those cities were extremely small shelters which were about 10×10 or 10 x 15 feet (150 sq feet.) Believe it or not people were living in these shanties, with sometimes 3 or four children as well. At least one of these shanty cities existed in California just across the border from Az. I read that it was occupied clear through WW2. The great depression lasted right up until FDR nationalised almost everything at the beginning of WW2. Anything of value was nationalised. Buildings, ships, aircraft, and even automobiles. Then Rationing began. It required a complete government takeover of our manufacturing base, our economy, and the people. As such we became a Socialist government………out of NECESSITY,rather than greed. So it would seem to me that the tailor made out for our crooked politicians would be the same thing that FDR done. The Socialisation of our government. I believe it will soon be upon us whether we want it or not, because the war with Iran will already be in progress. What do you think the FED will do with Soetoro’s Iranian born advisor?Internment?

  12. Bessie ………….
I was under the impression that Tony Rezko was born in Iran not Syria. Another Iranian born person is Sopetoro’s top adviser MMSSSSSSS. Jarrett.

  13. Oldsailor80: Tony is from Syria, he came to Illinois for college…His roommate was Ayham Alsammarae, who was also involved with the Companion Security contract and put up millions of dollars in property for Tony’s bail…Which ended up being revoked because Tony neglected to disclose receiving $3 million dollar wire transfer from Nadmi Auchi…Also, Tony received the $3 million dollars jus 3 day’s before the purchase of the now famous lot next to the Obama’s…

  14. oldsailor80 | January 8, 2013 at 10:34 am |

If your scenario plays itself out, do you see local government raising your property tax to such a level that very few are able to pay? If property ownership is abolished (by hook and/or by crook)……. there will be a lot of displaced people….. with nothing to lose…. They would have no compunction regarding their actions. There would be utter chaos which would not bode well for anyone, including the enforcers of the NWO.

Call me crazy, but I do think about such things. I also think about the implications of an EMP attack. Any number of situations could be the catalyst to catastrophe. I am not fearful, thank God! “He” will never leave me or forsake me. And quite honestly, if I knew the the end was coming though the agency of a deadly bomb, I’d just take a good book and sit under a tree somewhere and wait. Prepping is a good idea by all means. Buying guns and ammo is good too. And if you can get out of debt…do so. But these measures only go so far.
Trusting God is the most prudent. Jesus said,”Fear not! For I am with you… even to the end of the world.”

  15. Bessie………….
Here in Indiana we have a tailor made training base for radical soldiers. It is the old Camp Atterbury. It was during WW2 a base of our A5. It has all of the facilities including a 155 -105 range, and more than one rifles ranges. It has the hilly terrain, and everything necessary to train a soldier. I believe that the same sort of retired military base land was available in Illinois, and if anybody could acquire it either honestly,or by hook,or crook,Rezko would have probably been the BROKER. I believe that there were, and are others who were equally involved in that alleged deal.

  16. Bessie ………….Thanks for the RE EDUCATION. But I have to say I don’t really see much difference in the attitudes of either Iranian or Syrians. I once lived next door to a Syrian family. and all they ever done was FIGHT like hell among themselves and for some really PETTY reasons.

  17. Oldsailor80; I am sure there are similar bases all over the country and that is why I ask; Why did they choose Savanna Illinois for their site? Was it for convenience? Was it because of the full cooperation from then Senator Obama and Governor Blagojevich??or because we have the most strict gun laws in the country??? Maybe “all of the above” making for the perfect storm.

  18. Oldsailor80: agreed….the point being that ANY American let alone a foreigner could acquire such a contract is beyond logic…Our politicians are for sale and don’t give a rats ass about our protection… This very recent event (2006) is reason enough for citizens to stand behind the second amendment.

  19. Will 2013 be a year of various harbingers with closer passing of various asteroids and very bright comets???
    Inauguration Day or Judgment Day?
‘The Harbinger’ appears just as Obama’s party begins

  20. Let us not forget the use of Islam throughout the planet today by NWO. Hitler used Islam to help him eliminate the Jews. It was very effective. There are no more obedient people on the planet than Muslims. They wouldn’t use one word to object to anything unless first given permission by their Imam’s.
It is by pure design that the Western world has major Muslim problems. It is part of the NWO plan to divide and conquer. They are using Muslims much in the same way Hitler used them. The more chaos, division, and confusion they can cause, the easier it is to create the smoke and mirrors to succeed in their last phase of total takeover. They are preparing to close the net.

There is only one last front of resistance in America today–that is NRA and all the gun clubs of America. This may be where the line is drawn and the revolution begins. The cabal knows this is America’s last nerve. I notice this is the taunt they have presented the first week of 2013.They are in a hurry to get this one over with a.s.a.p. If they can get past this hurdle, it is a downhill battle for anything they have planned for us in the future–Then for certain resistance is futile.

The cabal understands this is going to be a tough hurdle to overcome that they have prepared for it. The cabal fully understands this. Above all other freedoms they have stolen, this could very well be the one to cause the revolution. This could be the shot heard around the world. That is why buma has private armies, weakening the military, HLS has hundreds of thousands of hollow point bullets, they are training the police in every state how to act under martial law, they are illegally migrating thousands of Muslims, violating posse comitias (I forget the precise term) parading troops and tanks in some American cities and bribing neighbors to spy and report on each other. They are predicting this revolution will begin this August.

  21. Sueq…………..
Going forward could get really hairy. I believe that what will be forthcoming at least for a brief period will be one hell of a lot of infighting amongst the alleged leaders which has a potential for the complete collapse of our so called government. When the FED’S credit card hits it’smax the infighting is going to get deadly serious, and there will be only one winner,or SURVIVOR if you will. We the people might even have a role to play in what is coming. I have already taken steps to hide most of my remaining monetary assets. Nobody but me,and my wife know where my assets are,and no it is not buried either. Since I do receive Social Security I do not have complete control over my resources. Of course I have taken steps to insure my survival should Social Security come to an end, which seems to be an ever increasing chance thereof. I believe that people should all be looking past the Social Security aspect of their income. I look for the amounts which people are drawing to be seriously reduced, and /or taxed. This money was originally after 1963 required to be deducted from a person’s earnings. We all knew it was being witheld like a tax but the Fed was careful not to call it a tax. In reality it was a FORCED contribution to a MASTER annuity. This is like money you earned but stashed. In reality we DID pay tax on the portion of our earnings which went into Social Security Trust Annuity. So if it were to be taxed it would have to be declared an earning from the annuity, which would be taxable. It can and might very well happen. Literally every potential source of tax is going to be exploited by the IRS. We have already lost our rights to a mortgage exemption, and soon I believe that we will lose our rights to the deduction for dependents. If you earn x number of dollars you will be taxed on that full amount. There will no longer be an adjusted income. If you have a traditional IRA from which you have an annual RMD you will be taxed on the amount you draw at existing personal income rates. If you allegedly earn over $250,000 per year stand by for a hit from the IRS. The RMD will take a real hit. perhaps as high as 35%.

  22. USpatriots-Shout
The very first place that I would distrust now is the NRA. It is NO LONGER the organisation it once was. It has been infiltrated by people whose interests are NOT the same as ours. I was once a life member. I no longer pay any attention to ANYTHING that they try to peddle. They have become another AARP if you will. Certain people within the top executive offices are EATING OUT OF “DER FUEHRER’S” hand. We know that as FACT!

  23. US PatriotsShout…………..
You can amass an arsenel of weaponry, and ammunition. Unless it is ALL stored in MOBILE entities whose locations are changed regularly,it is relatively easy to determine where the master arsenels are located, and with a little effort it can be destroyed along with ALL of their contents. Just ask the forerunners of the Navy Seals about that. They were the Navy UDT who the USS Ruchamkin APD89 transported anywhere they were needed. I served on that ship, and derived a lot of my military understanding from near CONSTANT ASSOCIATION with them. It was they who trained those of us who volunteered to become assistants in pilot retrieval, from the near freezing waters in the Sea of Japan, during the winter months. The training was rigorous, and a hell of a lot of the volunteers EXITED the PROGRAM in the first week. Only about 30% were retained. I am sure that if the assignments were of a nature involving combat the retention would probably have been next to NIL. Perhaps only 2 or 3%. I was used only as a pilot retrieval assistant, because I was under 6′ in height, but I could swim like a fish. Navy UDT was then more involved in what it’s name implied, but there was not a lot of stuff to demolish in the Korean War most of the stuff that would have been a contender was already demolished by prior UDT action during the later stages of WW2. I am intensely proud of having once helped the UDT people. Even if it was only at the level of a servant.

  24. I tend to think that a hell of a lot of our alleged leaders think that when push comes to shove,we will all whine like whipped dogs, lie down and roll over, and accept whatever they choose to impose upon us . Well I for one WILL NOT WHINE,LIE DOWN,OR ROLL OVER, OR SURRENDER MY WEAPONS WITHOUT A FIGHT FROM WHICH I WILL NOT EMERGE ALIVE.

  25. Oldsailor80–Thanks for the info. I was especially surprised about the NRA. How disappointing. That still shouldn’t stop the fact that guns should be controlled by the private sector and not the government. It can be other honorable–if there are any left–groups.

  27. This morning I started reading at CW’s by digesting the following which I had not caught yesterday. I’m bringing it over from the previous thread, because it is well worth reading. Although long, it is well written and moves forward rapidly: (Thanks, coldwarvet)

    ..found this on another site…
To those of you who follow what I have been posting here, and agree at all, this is more than recommended reading and should definitely go viral, to include any libs of consequence or influence you might know. It is a trifle long (might take a few minutes to read) but I think you might agree, it will be time well spent…

Yes! Yes! SueQ, THAT resonates with me fully. After much perusal and digesting of comments so far this morning and assenting to most, because we are not blind, your gem hit me at the core of my being. My heart says, “Amen” quietly, sincerely and very deeply. Someday I may be martyred for this, but God is the strength of my life and He has saved from our sins those of us who have put our trust in the Lord Jesus, Who died that we might live forever with Him. He is more than life to me.

I believe the NRA should be seen primarily as an association, wherein the bottom line is going to be seen as profit. The NRA really IS about duck hunting, with a little politiking thrown in. It is a huge lobby in DC which tells me that, yes, it is all about the money. They are really loving all this posturing by the establishment while the dollars are just pouring in.
My recommendation is that “we the people” should get busy forming these “citizen action committees” that I have mentioned previously. This is not a new concept by any means citing their origins in this country in the old west. We should have begun this process back when municipal lawsuits established the fact that the police are not, nor have they ever been, obligated to provide for individual security. It is my guess the majority of lefties remain ignorant of this fact, as they have traded all of their perceived security for their freedom.
Citizen action committees were originally to provide security for settlers in the expanding western territories. Even though they were not technically a legal entity, they were legal in the sense that they operated on behalf, and with the participation,of the individual, within the protections of the 2nd Amendment, and in the absence of official law enforcement and the courts. Citizen action simply involved an agreement among those participants that, if one were attacked, the others would immediately respond with whatever force was necessary to aid in their defense. Sort of like a militia, but without the training, maintainance, or mission. Primarily, just mutual protection. The danger, obviously, is that, because of their efficiency, these committees might become to be seen as the infamous “vigilance committess” which were initially formed to do the same thing, but continued to operate after security was provided by the government. My point in all this is that, once the government steps outside the law (constitution), then “we the people” must assume that we no longer have the protections provided by the government and are thereby responsible for providing for ourselves. This type of organization (association) is unique in that it can operate in either an urban or rural environment, does not require any special training, and, when properly applied, is devastatingly effective.

…you are most welcome…thanks for bringing it over. I believe I picked it up over at Dr. Kates site.

  31. OT, but this may be of interest especially to early-bird tax return filers:
(from an IRS e-mail) (more kudos to the “fiscal cliff” fiasco – sarc.)

WASHINGTON — Following the January tax law changes made by Congress under the American Taxpayer Relief Act (ATRA), the Internal Revenue Service announced today it plans to open the 2013 filing season and begin processing individual income tax returns on Jan. 30.

The IRS will begin accepting tax returns on that date after updating forms and completing programming and testing of its processing systems. This will reflect the bulk of the late tax law changes enacted Jan. 2. The announcement means that the vast majority of tax filers — more than 120 million households — should be able to start filing tax returns starting Jan 30.

The IRS estimates that remaining households will be able to start filing in late February or into March because of the need for more extensive form and processing systems changes. This group includes people claiming residential energy credits, depreciation of property or general business credits. Most of those in this group file more complex tax returns and typically file closer to the April 15 deadline or obtain an extension.

    The answer would be…………………..NO

But it really doesn’t matter anymore.

I still will bet that Rick Santorum is the next in line for the GOP nomination.

The thing about the GOP is that they “eat their own” until only one is standing. With the help of the media of course.

  37. IB………..Yeah I do know a little about Atterbury. When I was a member of Service Company,HS Batallion, 293rd Infantry Reg, of the 38th Div(Cyclones) Atterbury is where we went for PRE CAMP firing. This was in 1950 and 1951.

  38. ………I also shot a 10 point whitetail buck at Atterbury in the 60s.

  39. You know, If I were young and capable of starting a small business which ultimately became so successful that it would reach the 50 limit of employees (under AbominableCare) and I thought I had the proverbial tiger
by the tail, I would seriously plan on moving the business out of the country, or reduce everyone’s work week to under 30 hours. What are we supposing that new or existing businesses are going to do?

This rotten law is an economic dragon and is going to wreck whatever is left of our business prowess and job market. I thought the House Republican majority pledged to do something about this. All they have to do is shut down the money flow to defund this monstrosity.

Chief Justice John Roberts behaved wrecklessly and against the best interests of the country.

  40. P.S. The above-mentioned group of politicians are, for the most part, a bunch of yellow-bellied, self-complacent, unpatriotic cowards.

  41. IB……….
In the early 50s A5 was still using Atterbury. Elements of the Indiana National Guard also used Atterbury for pre camp training. Summer camp in 1950 and 1951 was after the pre camp at Atterbury. Service and Headquarters of 293rd Infantry were assigned to Camp Grayling near Lansing Michigan for the TWO WEEK deployment.

  43. Mr.Bill………..
Lindsay Graham seems to really get into whatever he does. I would be praying that he gets to ask MMMMSSSSSSS.Important some well aimed and hopefully POINTED questions. He has a lot on his plate when he takes her on being trhe well experienced LIAR that she is.

  44. Hopefully MMMSSSSSSS.Important will get her tongue wrapped around her eyetooth and she won’t be able to see what she is saying, at which point she will make a serious verbal mistake, which Graham can use to really finish the job at hand. I pray that Graham will nail her to the cross.

The irony is Obama’s tax hikes will hit the poor hardest. Taxes increase production costs which are passed on through higher prices to customers.Businesses raise prices and high value workers and professionalsare in a position to negotiate higher salaries and bonuses because they are hard to replace.
Box shifters and burger flippers have no negotiating clout.
It’s always the poor who are hit hardest by attempts to redistribute wealth.
As you say, the people who voted for Obama will suffer most.

  46. Coldwarvet…………
I am sure that you have read about the Minutemen. While I was NOT there i read that they supplied their own rifles, and shot. But their experience with rifles of that period largely came from their own hands. Many people in those days built their own long rifles, and in some instances done the rifling fo the barrels themselves. Many rifles of the period were either percussion or flintlock. These people became proficient at both building their weapons as well as using them. Some of them were .31 calibre, some were larger, going clear up to .50 calibre and larger. Later on Sharps made a lot of Buffalo rifles that were mostly wildcat calibers. they were made to order by Sharps. I do however not take away any of the Lancaster County,PA,early firearms makers.b They too built some really accurate rifles. In that day blackpowder rifles used fairly slow rifling twist (1 turn in 66 inches). Apparently this worked the best for a projectile traveling at 1500fps or less. Barrels were then in the neighborhood of 42″ in length. Inspite of the crudeness of such weapons compared to modern day firearms, the bearers of those arms became great marksmen. They knew how to get the “biggest bang for the buck” if you will. Pardon the pun. In the 1960s I built my own .50 caliber flintrlock. I used a reproduction of the GRICE 1762 lock, and a Numrich premium rifled .50 barrel. It took awhile for me to zero it but I finally settled on 200yds. This was a copy of the flintlocks that were used in the British “BROWN BESS” muskets. These muskets were .75 caliber. Our Charleville rifle was a .69 caliber, some of these were also manufactured at Harpers Ferry. Later on came the .45-70 Springfield trapdoor rifles. They were a cartridge. The case was 70 mm long and the caliber was .45. There was also a .50 x 90 in the early Springfield rifles. The trapdoor rifles also had 42 ” barrels. If you wish you can research these old rifles at Wikipedia. I particularly like the hand inletted rifles of that period.

…I was at a range some 25 years ago and a fellow who was there shooting an old flintlock, offered to let me try it…it was fun, and amazing the accuracy achieved with these old weapons…took a week to get all the powder from under my eyelid…lol

“Marxist Labor Leaders Used Latino Voters to Move California Left – Implications for All Americans”

“A group of socialist California labor officials and Democratic Party operatives, led by Los Angeles County Federation of Labor head Maria Elena Durazo, targeted Latinos and immigrants in a deliberate program to permanently drive Golden State politics to the left.

This program was revealed in a November 2010 Calbuzz blogpost: Untold Story: How the Latino Vote Hit Critical Mass, by one of its key participants, Sacramento based Democratic Party political consultant Richie Ross.

All Americans should learn from the socialist takeover of California, because this is the blueprint for the entire United States. Latino immigrants and voters will be one of the key planks of American socialism.

Millions of Latinos, who come to America for a better life for their children, are going to exploited by Marxists, labor union socialists and Democrats, to destroy the very country they long to be part of.

Unless conservatives and Republicans are prepared to confront this issue head on, the constitutional republic known as the United States of America will soon be gone forever.”

The Enemy Of The State – Full Movie

A friend of ours brought a few movies over to share this weekend when we had a cook-out dinner for several families. We watched one of the movies, “The Enemy Of The State” in a DVD format. 53. Scarolina……………
At present I believe Lindsay Graham might be trying to do what is right. But you must keep in mind that like you so aptly stated….he is up for re election next year. If he does nothing in the interim period except a lot of verbal rhetoric then I guess I would see him as just another politician trying to look great so that he might get re elected. I have a distrust of ALL politicians until such time as they give me a REASON to trust them.

I’ve always considered myself a Libertarian (foreign policy excepted) but have registered as a Republican in order to participate in nominating process. I unfortunately live in a deep blue state.

I too have had enough of the GOP. You can’t count on them to defend the Constitution. Mike Lee, Rand Paul and a few others excepted. I think this is the time when the Libertarian Party can become a major party and/or force the GOP to have half of their ticket be a Libertarian. I would bet there are many Democrats who are completely disgusted with where the radical left has taken their Party who would welcome the chance to vote Libertarian.

  57. Birthers Suggest Impeaching Chief Justice John Roberts
By John Celock @ The Huffington comPost

The birther movement is now targeting Chief Justice John Roberts for impeachment if he swears in President Barack Obama for a second term later this month.

Craige McMillan, a columnist for the conservative publication, wrote a piece last week asking Roberts to not swear Obama in, because, according to McMillan, Obama does not meet the Constitution’s definition of a natural born citizen.

The answer is simple. Jordan’s complaint hit the bulls-eye and the State, acting on behalf of the political Washington Establishment, must kill it in its tracts. If it were to gain any kind of traction in a “truthful world,” Jordan’s complaint would serve as checkmate. Sadly, no court in the United States of America is going to ever invite Sheriff Arpaio or his Cold Case Posse team of forensic experts to testify to the long-form birth certificates authenticity in a court of law that is until all of HELL FREEZES OVER. Get it?”

  59. Ben Shapiro on Hannity: “We’ve Reached the End of Bipartisanship. We’ve Reached the End of Civility” (Video)
Posted by Jim Hoft on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, 8:38 AM

Ben Shapiro was on with Sean Hannity last night to discuss his new book “Bullies: How the Left’s Culture of Fear and Intimidation Silences America” and to list the top five progressive bullies in America today. As a final question, Hannity asked Ben how do conservatives counter the progressive bullies today. Ben answered,

“We can’t be civil with them. We can’t. We’ve reached the end of bipartisanship. We’ve reached the end of civility. It’s like the Geneva Conventions. These people are out of uniform. Once they exit the realm of civility they are now fair game. And it’s enough playing fair with them. It’s enough having the moral high ground. If we have the moral high ground it means that we lose. We need to start fighting back and fighting back hard.“

    Obama facilitated the “Arab Spring”

……..Although the Western press fails to acknowledge this,it is practically common knowledge that Obama facilitated the “Arab Spring.” He’s also thrown Israel under the bus and done his level best to cripple America economically and in the areas of defense and national security.
Add to that his amity with the Muslim Brotherhood (having aided them in expanding their sphere of influence not only in the Muslim world but within the US),and you have someone who has probably garnered more support than enmity among Muslims. The only thing Obama really has going against him is having systematically taken out key al-Qaeda leaders, and this could be explained away as a matter of characteristically convoluted Muslim doctrine. How many Muslims have been killed by other Muslims via suicide attacks in recent years?
What we must understand is that the hatred the Muslim world has for the US is not rooted in national identity, practices,or culture. It is rooted in its Christianity. Christianity had its genesis in Judaism;thus they have hated us since the days of Ishmael and Hagar (his Mother) and the disrespect shown the founder of the Arab peoples. This has never been forgotten. The fact that Israel sprang from the seed of Abraham (and thus the Arabs and Jews are related) is lost in the shuffle. God promised that there would always be “enmity” between the two races;and as usual,He has proven to be correct.
Obama’s unequivocal defense of Islam at the expense of every other religion – Christianity in particular
In the time of Christ, there was a forebear of His coming. John the Baptist declared that the Jews would need to prepare;for the promised one was near. Would Obama be the Mahdi himself,or “the voice crying in the wilderness,” making the way for his appearance? One thing that has been made plain is his unequivocal defense of Islam at the expense of every other religion – Christianity in particular.
In the practical sense, our problem is indeed wrapped up in what or who Barack Hussein Obama is (or thinks he is) and why he does what he does. Is it one of today’s more complex questions,or is it as simple as a fake bringing down the most Christian nation on the planet?
Whether his “deal with the devil” has played out,or he’s simply worn out his welcome,he has proven his ability to mobilize the forces of evil,to the peril of us all.

I am afraid that that is my exact conclusion also…..BUT If our people should suddenly decide that they have had enough and are prepared to lay it all on the line, then the first target should ,and would be the 127 Federal judges. One by one or two by two etc. they would be visiting Neurenberg type trials and for some there might not be a return to their quarters. Then after the DOJ is cleaned out comes SCOTUS,then Congress.

  64. POLL: CONGRESS LESS POPULAR THAN HEAD LICE, COLONOSCOPIES, THE DONALD – Matt Peckham writes for TIME: “It takes real skill to be less appreciated than one of the most phobia-inducing insects on the planet, but somehow Congress managed, hitting new lows in a recent Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey that found even cockroaches more appealing. Also more popular than Congress: root canals, NFL replacement referees, head lice, Canadian rock band Nickelback, colonoscopies, carnies (that is, carnival employees), traffic jams, Donald Trump, France, Genghis Khan, used-car salesmen, Washington political pundits and brussels sprouts.

    — “It wasn’t all bad news for Congress, however; the elected body still managed to beat out John Edwards, lobbyists, telemarketers, the Kardashians, North Korea, Lindsay Lohan, playground bullies, Fidel Castro, meth labs, communism, gonorrhea and the Ebola virus.”

  71. SueQ
Although EO’s can be challenged in the courts, an unlawful act is still an unlawful act. As the pres. is himself unlawful, according to the Constitution, any EO will also be unlawful. This very set of circumstances is what is behind the political dibvide occurring in this country even as we speak, and these critters up there in the congress know it. They are not fooling a majority of the people any longer and they know their time is running out.
Looking at history, the 2nd Amendment has never been seriously challenged as it has never been seen as particularly necessary to challenge it…until now! It has, amazingly enough though, become a gigantic stumbling block for this legally-deficient administration.
Looking down the road a bit, and I believe I have a lot of support in the statement, that we might indeed just be in need of a second civil war to cleanse this country of this lawless liberal scourge.

  72. Observer………….Re.10:47 AM
Sounds as though Shapiro has figured out what is happening. Sadly the largest part of our society hasn’t yet figured out much of anything. They keep trying to CHANGE OUR LAWS,OUR CONSTITUTION, AND ARE ALSO TRYING HARD TO TURN OUR COUNTRY INTO AN ISLAMIC THIRD WORLD. Many of our young recent college grads think UP is DOWN, and our Constitution is” ARCHIAC”,and that our country would be better off without a constitution. I would expect such beliefs from our young people though simply because they have been schooled in a liberal controlled educational system from DAY ONE!

  73. Coldwarvet…………
You called it a “SCOURGE”. Congratulations, you have once again confirmed that you are among those of us who “GET IT”. Now all we have to do is convince all the rest of our alleged society, who DON’T GET IT.

  74. Oldsailor80
I believe that they might become convinced when the shooting starts. If martial law should be delared, under such a circumstance, and the’ writ of habeas corpus’ suspended, those ultimate perpetrators within this liberal administration will most likely get little mercy. If the rule of law is suspended for ‘one’, under such a circumstance, it is suspended for all.
The last civil war was not fought over slavery, it was fought over political viability of the states. That move, by Lincoln, was extremely risky (not to mention illegal), thus putting the United States entity itself at risk. Slavery was merely an excuse (lie) to motivate the military to fire upon it’s own citizens. Those citizens, by the way, were demonized by the administration/military as to be some sort of war-like sub-human….sound familiar?
My my…all this over a little amendment…hmmm. Makes one wonder, just a bit, if the founders might have known a little something after all…

  75. Coldwarvet…………..
Our society has one hell of a mess on it’s hands, we have failed leadership, and we have a lot of college grads who have been unwittingly made to believe an almost irreversible educational idiom. A very large percentage of our young college grads have actually learned very damn little, and a like number have only a vocabulary of a grade school level.
A couple of years ago a company in LA pretended to be accepting applications for employment. They put a high school level SAT exam in front of the potential employees to complete within the customary time limits. Out of 25 applicants only two actually passed the exam. In actuality the exam was for the purpose of EXCLUDING any potential tampering with the exams by educational administrators. The alleged applicants were recent college grads from various West Coast Colleges and Universities. Hard to believe yet I can’t help think it is all true because I have personally talked with a few of these so called grads. All I got was UMMMM,AHHHH, WOW, ETC. It would seem that such expressions would be left at home when applying for a job. I have read resumes that had NO VISIBLE CONTINUITY. It would seem that a college grad should at least be able to prepare a resume that would interest any human resource manager. Just a view point, no offense intended to anyone. I do however hasten to add that I have also read some very well prepared resumes. So the job of the Human Resource manager gets a little dicier as he/she tries to separate fantasy from fact while reading somebody’s resume.

  76. Oldsailor80
Like to chat but I’m off to the VA hospital for a little socialized medicine…

  77. Coldwarvet………….
I would like to believe that the Civil War began over STATES RIGHTS but soon MORPHED into an entirely different conflict. Good God, did we need a war to fix something which the “abolitionists” already knew. We only need to read the lines of the Battle Hym of the Republic to point us in the right direction. But I must also add that when our rights are suspended, is when the real war will begin. Since the probability that martial law might exist then most of the soldiers would be under no particular influence by ANY laws. The only law will be either from the muzzle of a rifle ,or in the bight of a garrote, suspended from a live oak tree,or a service station signpost. I further believe that among the very first objectives will be the DOJ. Any well thought out civl war will also have it’s OWN appointed judges,if a prisoner is to be guaranteed a fair trial. But such a trial would not necessarily be prosecuted under the laws written by the enemy. It hopefully would be prosecuted under Constitutional law.

  78. I will continue to hold my VA membership card but I have largely given up using the VA facilities. At least the facility here in Fort Wayne. I was put in the group 6 which in reality is no departure from my medicare coverage. In addition the copay is greater at the VA.

  79. Oldsailor80
    I’m a group 1 so no co pay…or Obamacare…already socialized…lol

  80. Sueq………………

  81. ……………of course what should we expect from phoney leadership? Fortunately many of the foreign countries have also begun to see through the PHONIES in DC. A few are also questioning the VALIDITY of the agreements that they have with the US, which Soetoro has signed. I would expect these countries to petition the WORLD COURT for prosecution of Soetoro, and all who support him. The awakening is beginning.
