“There was a rather low-key confession made in the New York Times last week that deserves to be blared throughout this country so that every American understands what they are reading in the establishment’s ultra-controlled, government-managed “press” – and I use that last word loosely indeed.
The admission came in the form of a story by Jeremy Peters on the politics page of the Times July 16. I’ve been waiting for others to point it out, discuss it, debate it, express shock and exasperation over it. But I’ve waited for naught.
What this shocking story reveals is that even I – one of the kingpins of the new media and a refugee from the state-controlled spin machine – underestimated the utter and total corruption of the euphemistically called “mainstream press.”
It shows that most – not some – members of the print media establishment with access to the White House submit their copy to government officials for review, “correction” and approval before it reaches the American people!”
Here are some key excerpts from the piece, if you think I’m exaggerating:
- “The quotations come back redacted, stripped of colorful metaphors, colloquial language and anything even mildly provocative.”
- “They are sent by e-mail from the Obama headquarters in Chicago to reporters who have interviewed campaign officials under one major condition: the press office has veto power over what statements can be quoted and attributed by name.”
- “Most reporters, desperate to pick the brains of the president’s top strategists, grudgingly agree. After the interviews, they review their notes, check their tape recorders and send in the juiciest sound bites for review. The verdict from the campaign – an operation that prides itself on staying consistently on script – is often no, Barack Obama does not approve this message.”
- “Now, with a millisecond Twitter news cycle and an unforgiving, gaffe-obsessed media culture, politicians and their advisers are routinely demanding that reporters allow them final editing power over any published quotations.”
- “Quote approval is standard practice for the Obama campaign, used by many top strategists and almost all mid-level aides in Chicago and at the White House – almost anyone other than spokesmen who are paid to be quoted. (And sometimes it applies even to them.) It is also commonplace throughout Washington and on the campaign trail.”

- “It was difficult to find a news outlet that had not agreed to quote approval, albeit reluctantly. Organizations like Bloomberg, The Washington Post, Vanity Fair, Reuters and The New York Times have all consented to interviews under such terms.”

The Aurora police chief is denying the Fox Denver report of another “person of interest:”
Aurora police chief Daniel Oates rejected media reports that a second person of interest is associated with Friday’s massacre in Colorado. He said James Holmes is the only suspect responsible but they are interested in speaking to anyone who knows or has had contact with Holmes.
“All the evidence we have, every single indicator, is that… this is all Mr. Holmes’ activity and that he wasn’t particularly aided by anyone else” Oates said in an exclusive interview Sunday on “Face the Nation. “We’re building a case to show that this was a deliberative process by a very intelligent man who wanted to do this.”
Oates said the person brought in to be questioned on Saturday “was a casual consequence.”
“The relationship was real inconsequential,” he said. “[I]t’s really an inconsequential matter.”

I thought a prayer vigil was about praying for those who are recuperating and especially for those who lost their lives in the tragic incident and the families that remain.

Something just not right about this Aurora shooter….I read where he was unable to find work after graduation in Calif. Had collected unemployment, then decided to go to graduate school…He spent upwards of $15k on all the gear used on July 20. Reports are that the purchases were made in less than 2 months. He booby traps his apartment, dresses in bullet proof protective clothing….shoots up the theater…then is standing by his vehicle just outside the building, like he is waiting for the police, is taken without resistance and tells the police his apartment was booby trapped. HUH?
Its obvious this murderer is a genius/sicko…but why bother with the bullet proof stuff when he just waited outside for the police..and why go through the extensive, elaborate wiring within the apartment, then advise the police.
Was this some kind of preliminary test? A test for homemade ied’s and detonators? Are there others involved who knew he was just smart enough yet sick enough to carry this out and take the blame. Did he become involved with some radical cult? Occupy Black Bloc? Batman crazies?
Sane, rational people can’t even think like this guy, so maybe I’m too sane and too rational but I can be cynical. Something just doesnt add up here.

I am also curious of the reported story of his mother’s statement when she was notified of this horrific event. Was it her credit card that purchased this deadly aresenal? I am not laying blame to his parents, but unless he had shown some very obvious erratic behavior within the last two months, how would she have known. Prior to that he was accepted and active in a very intellectually rigorous field of study with nothing but praise (so far reported) from his instructors. (specialists in neuroscience) surely they would have detected aberrant behavior or thought processes, no?

Was listening to an older experienced NY detective who’d dealt with a lot of crazies crimes. He said often the person who takes out a few people for whatever motive in the end commits suicide, taking his own life after he’d accomplished what he wanted. He thought in this case with Holmes his end was to actually become the Joker, recognizing the Joker’s intelligence, demonstrating that intelligence in his actions, even proving to the cops how he himself accomplished that persona via telling them about his own intricate devices in the apt to prove his like intelligence. He said that by Holmes’ super protection of himself with all the body protection that he did not plan to die….why he didn’t commit suicide afterwards like so many others did. And he could have ended his life too by just pointing a gun at the cops and forcing them to shoot him but he didn’t. He said that the victims weren’t people to this guy….they were just pawns for his plan to be carried out….called him a particular type of narcissist (can’t remember) involved with his obsession to become this intelligent but evil character and then getting all of the attention about that role that he’s now getting in the aftermath….thought he was just laughing at any memorials for the dead. He said that when the neighbor mentioned that every time she would run into Holmes he always had a smile on his face; thought he was strange; that the smile was due to his ongoing pre-planning of this narcissistic becoming of the Joker….who too smiled a lot. That’s what was going on in his mind as he planned everything…even when bumping into others at neighborhood stores….that detective thought.
Wonder where he got his training if he wasn’t permitted in the gun club. Had he been given money for his tuition by his parents and that’s what he used to purchase all of the equipment and why he had dropped out of the school because he couldn’t make payment? A lot of questions. Wonder what will snap him back into reality…if anything. A lot of narcissists around these days, with varying personae …is Obama always smiling too because he’s carrying out his own long term plan to be “king” and gets enjoyment out of putting it over on everyone??

I have been thinking about these drones being used in the U.S. Are they really going to be any different than local Sheriffs dept. and other law enforcement agencies using light airplanes for surveillance as of now?
It seems to me that cost may be the main driving factor behind this usage. We already have airplanes flying over traffic and radar of speeders as well as use of IR from planes over property and heat sensing detectors mounted on the planes, as well as photo shooting of property and persons of interest, many without warrants.

Trump again on Fox this morning called for Obama to release his records. He should look into the BMD Registers written records at the British National Archives. BMD Registers is a search engine (link unavailible with comment box posting irregularities) to substanciate inroads on Obama Sr.
Just observing available facts….the shooter in aurora was wearing near “full” body armor to include a ballistic helmet, neck deflector, and class two or three armor with trauma plates…
Just armchair quarterbacking here…the best concealed carry weapon would have been absolutely ineffectual against this type of armor. It (the armor if class 3)would have even defeated most military long weapons…i.e. 5.56 or 7.62×39.
Given those circumstances, and considering that the theater was dark and smoke filled, the best that could have happened was the fact that the M16 jammed (a common occurrence with those). Had he chosen an AK47, the result would have been far worse, as the penetration of the AK (7.62×39) is far superior to the M16.
A crowded theater, in the dark and smoke is possibly the worst condition for a gunfight. Especially considering that most cc’ers are not that proficient anyway. This was a lose-lose situation for the movie patrons…makes the person of interest even more culpable.

“The UN Arms Trade Treaty that has been identified by observers as a flagrant threat to the second amendment and which Barack Obama is determined to sign has its roots in a 1961 State Department memorandum which explains how the United Nations will oversee “complete disarmament” of the American people under the ruse of preventing war.
The UN Arms Treaty has caused so much controversy because it outlines a plan to target “all types of conventional weapons, notably including small arms and light weapons,” according to Forbes’ Larry Bell.
Former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton also warns that the agreement “is trying to act as though this is really just a treaty about international arms trade between nation states, but there is no doubt that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control.”
A letter sent last month by 130 Republican House members to President Obama argued that the treaty should be rejected because it infringes on the “fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms”. The letter adds that “…the U.N.’s actions to date indicate that the ATT is likely to pose significant threats to our national security, foreign policy, and economic interests as well as our constitutional rights.”
Using the rhetoric of the threat post by terrorists, insurgents and “international crime syndicates,” the UN is busy trying to imply that all weapons are somehow involved in illegal activity on a global scale and should therefore be controlled and regulated by a global authority.
This is precisely the same language used in a 1961 U.S. State Department briefing which outlined a long term agenda to carry out a “Program for General and Complete Disarmament in a Peaceful World.”
Invoking the threat of nuclear warfare, the document spells out a plan to create a “United Nations Peace Force” that would “enforce the peace as the disarmament process proceeds.”
While the document initially focuses on scrapping nuclear weapons, it later makes it clear that the only groups allowed to own weapons of any kind would be governing authorities, “for the purpose of maintaining internal order,” and the UN “peacekeeping” force itself, which would require “agreed manpower.”
“The manufacture of armaments would be prohibited except for those of agreed types and quantities to be used by the U.N. Peace Force and those required to maintain internal order. All other armaments would be destroyed or converted to peaceful purposes,” states the document.
While the memorandum outlines a broader mandate to destroy national sovereignty, eviscerate national armies and institute the UN as the planet’s supreme authority with a world army, the document serves as a stark reminder that the plan for the United Nations to oversee the abolition of the second amendment has been in the works for decades.

The forward assist rod on the M16 was a stop gap measure to overcome a basic design flaw in one of the worst battle rifles ever. The flaw is in the forward multiple bolt locking lugs that lack enought tolerance to accomodate ANY fowling material. If they don’t lock, the rifle will not fire.
The M16 is a result of the classic military-industrial collaboration that has cost a lot of lives over the years including an extended battle in Afghanistan.

William, I agree completely. I’ve cringed when I see “God” as a poster here. It is sacrilegious or borders on it. Frankly, it seems that the “Spiritual Guardian Angel of God” represents a change in monikers by a familiar poster. I may be wrong, however.
My question is: What is the purpose in using such monikers? To sway people’s opinions? To give extra credibility? That is nonsense, if any of those reasons apply. In fact, if anything, it tends to repel.

Yesterday I had some time to listen to various Fox programs all, of course, on the Aurora killings. Repeatedly Fox interviewed various people who witnessed much of what happened in the theater and also folks that knew of Holmes previously.
This senseless killing was looked at from every possible angle, including the opinions of attorneys and former lawmen. Every facet was examined and reported.
What hit me front and center is the far greater tragedy that is happening right before our eyes with the attempted overthrow of our country from within. (Please know this is not meant in any way to diminish the awfulness of what happened in Aurora or to be calloused towards the victims and their families)
Here’s the point: If we could get just a fraction of Fox or any other media to use the same scrutiny – testimonies, proof of evidence, etc. –
to report the usurpation and crimes of the occupant of the White House, then the rank and file citizenry could begin to become informed. The data is abundant, as we all know, and the sources are RELIABLE – not hearsay.
If this usurper is not stopped from gaining another four years, there will be civil war and thousands will be killed. If he can continue to convert this government into his Communist “utopia”, millions will ultimately be brutally annihilated. It has happened elsewhere many times.
As I said before, “Twelve lives lost is a TRAGEDY; millions of lives lost is a STATISTIC.” The human mind cannot get its arms around large numbers like that, because of the awful horror.

A few thoughts:
1. It would be wise for as many as possible to save a copy of the above photos and documents of Mark Kaleokualoha Davis before they get taken down by him in response to this post.
2. In comparing the above birth certificates, please note that Mark Kaleokualoha Davis’ from his sodahead.com account that he obviously posted, along with every other kind of document from his life you can think of, reads at the top “CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH” while Obama’s short form from whitehouse.gov says “CERTIFICATION OF LIVE BIRTH”.
3. Please note the differences in the basic formatting of each birth certificate: There are differences in Kaleokualoha’s and Obama’s certificates that include date stamps (Obama’s looks like an ink stamp while Kaleokualoha’s looks like a pressed stamp, you have to zoom in a little to see it clearly), Obama’s says “African” for father’s race while Kaleokualoha’s reads “negro”, etc., etc..
4. The childhood photos, at least to me, indicate a family resemblance: look at the forehead (really obvious in all the photos compared) along with the turtle lip and the circle around the mouths, etc., etc..
5. Kaleokualoha is obviously a prolific blogger and it is easy to learn a lot about him by searching for “Kaleokualoha” or “Mark Kaleokualoha” in Google search engine.

I’m sorry, but I’ve had about enough of this Colorado shooting stuff.
In my opinion, it’s “symbolism over substance” bullcrap.
You will NEVER get me to believe that Obama went out to Colorado with the intentions of “comforting” the families. It was a photo op plain and simple, and a reason to get on AF1 to travel 3/4 of the way across the Country on OUR dime. These vigils do NOTHING to bring back those who are dead, and are simply, again in my opinion, propaganda for politicians to get up and say how “sorry” they are and that “we need to do something” about this kind of thing.
I’m again sorry, but this doesn’t happen too often. It’s pretty rare that something like this happens, but it’s been 4 days of NONSTOP “reporting” about everything “Colorado shooting”. Almost all of the main anchors of the media are out in Colorado to “report” on what is happening.
Let the FAMILIES get on with their grieving. STOP making this a “National” issue.
From my count, there have been 22 deaths in Afghanistan just this month. Another 30 or so in June. These young men and women died FOR us, in my opinion NEEDLESSLY, but yet you hear almost NOTHING about this. I see that Government flags are at half staff for these victims, but yet our miltary folks are in Afghanistan getting shot at and killed daily and our flags fly at full staff. One of these days we will realize that life is NOT without it’s hazards.
I could be killed on my way to work this evening by someone who runs a red light, and it would be just as tragic as this event was, but the media won’t be in my hometown, there will be no vigils and my families lives will go on.
I know I will be ridiculed for having these opinion, but I could care less.
The 6 year old was in the theater because the parents didn’t want to pay a babysitter, and thought the child would sleep during the movie (at least that is what I’ve heard).
I don’t know, I think it’s pretty lame that a MOVIE is such a big deal that it has to be “premiered” at midnight with such fan fare. I haven’t been to a movie for decades, and I don’t see what the fuss is all about.

Not suggesting the man deserved his fate, but IF he was a RESPONSIBLE man, he wouldn’t be having an affair on his wife and kids, and maybe he would have been at the movie anyway, I just thought it odd.
I can’t really disagree with you, IB. A death in war is tragic as is a death in an accident. I don’t like the media running into every hospital room either and wouldn’t want them in my face. I noticed that the format is identical to my 2008 Hawaii COLBs.
The format was revised in 10/08 and is different than Obama’s COLB which was supposedly acquired in June 2007.
Look at the bottom left hand corner of Mark’s COLB and notice the revision date.

Of course your first reaction is survival, you recoil and protect yourself from the threat, but at SOME point it’s you against him, and IF I’m going down, I HOPE I wouldn’t go down in a fetal postion hoping the criminal shoots everyone else. I HOPE that I would go down fighting, and I’d HOPE that others would help me. I’m not sure how long the event took. I have heard anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes, but those 5 minutes had to seem like hours to those in that theater.
But to me, you are NOT a hero for taking a bullet protecting someone else in a situation like this. You ARE a hero by standing up and fighting for your life.
And I know that sounds rude and “cold hearted”.

Yeah, the M16 was supposed to be a “self cleaning”and otherwise antifouling rifle. HAR DE HAR HAR. Yeah the reason for the forward assist was to overcome a sticking bolt which resulted from a combination of poor maintenance, incorrect operation for weapon type, and fouling from firing. I know a few who had asked the brass when they were going to get the shorter CAR 15 into the battle. Sadly it never happened. Yep you could pick up a AK 47 shake out the dirt, and it was ready to go back to work. Hell at less than 75 yds, who needs a real long barrel. But then a real good fast 12 guage, in the right hands, using express loads is probably about as effective. Perhaps even more effective in certain circumstances. I own a Norinco AK 47 (LEGAL VERSION). Purchased before the ban. I used to own an AR15 . It would chamber either 5.56 or .223. They are basically the same. Mine had a few MODS (chrome moly receiver, and a new barell using a slightly faster spin rate.) I made a ton of money on the AR. Still have my 600 round per minute equaliser. Don’t really like the thought of a SHEET METAL STAMPED receiver, but what the hell it was allegedly designed to have a service life of 15,000 rounds, but the M16 was supposed to have a service life of 30,000-45,000 rounds. I understand that by the time the A2 arrived in the hands of the services most of the life threatening problems had been worked out. Seems to me that that should have been done before it ever was put in a combat zone. When I was in the Indiana National Guard we were issued the M1 rifle. Like our DI used to tell us that in close action many of the combatants chose to use the .30 cal carbine over the M1. There was a few non coms who carried Thompson subs. The .45 Thompson round had a great propensity to penetrate a wall,and doors yet still be lethal. (in Europe). He was one of the few who walked nearly all the way to the RHINE……..and lived to tell about it. He carried a BAR most of the way. That might have had a little to do with his survival. LOL.

To this day I carry a personal grudge against the M16 having had two different M16’s fail me multiple times on two separate occasions in the Nam during extended engagements….then you are facing AK47’s with a.45!…most engagements didn’t last long enough to use many rounds, but anything over 60 and they get so hot they begin to freeze up from crud mixing with oil which turns almost solid..try clearing that mess in the middle of a moonless night while being over-run!

My response was meant to convey sorrow over the loss of life and also the infidelity the man showed to his wife and children. I am saddened that the moral climate in this country has brought us to these situations. “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone……” We have to be careful that we don’t get so philosophical that we lose compassion for our fellow man.

So I have been told, by a few friends. Exactly the same! When there is a chance of being overrun it seems as though you would wish for a 12 guage semi with a 30 round mag. Not exactly a forever weapon but really effective in close proximity with an enemy soldier. Of course if he has a few friends along you might want to consider using a HANDHELD explosive which can be tossed about 20 yards.

During the Korean war the closest I got to any form of combat was hearing a projectile from a North Korean shore battery pass overhead when we had to get in close to recover a SPAD pilot. When that happened our 5″38 sent the operators of the shore battery a little surprise package……….and incindiary round. Phosphorous is really sticky stuff,and BURNS right to the bone. Most of the time it neutralised the battery, at least long enough for us to get the pilot to safety. Really most of the time they didn’t even fire upon us,because most of the time the pilots were able to drive their airplanes far enough out to sea that we was out of range of the shore batteries anyway. But the 38degree water was the real enemy. Even in their flight suits the pilots who were really shot up would not last very long in the cold water. A lot of SPADS(AD1) were brought down by rifle fire from the ground. The aircraft would get a rifle fire hit in the OIL COOLER,and at that point it became only a question of when would the engine seize up. NO WINDMILL……NO FLY! Time to VAMOOSE to open water to ditch the airplane. Those of us who were trained to extract pilots from sinking airplanes had to accomplish it all in less than 1 minute. I actually participated in only a couple of the actual extractions. I was serving in the capacity of small boat engineer. But nonetheless we all were trained equally, by the UDT people. They were the forerunners of the Navy Seals. But they didn’t have anywhere near the sort of training that our Seals, and Rangers now receive. I was particulary disturbed when I read about the entire Seal team six having been killed in a helicopter accident. My first question was,and still is.. why the hell were they all put in ONE chopper? Then, why the hell did the aircraft fail while they were aboard. There are some pretty long odds against that ever happening. I have a gut feeling that there might have been a little tinkeritis done just before they were put aboard. Nothing like a dead Soldier, he cannot tell a STORY…. whether it is a lie,……….OR THE TRUTH! Somehow I have the feeling that the story that they might have told may not necessarily match what we were told about the alleged take out of Bin Laden by our ALLEGED POTUS.

Old Salt, you are certainly right on with your analysis……There are just too many facts that don’t make sense. If you are correct, then our government is corrupt to the core, but we already know that it needs a thorough fumigation.

Well, old boy, the nearest I ever got to sea ops was to call in naval gunfire from the battleship New Jersey. When we called a fire mission into the FDC we never knew who we were going to get. Whoever was available. Quite an experience though. Each round the weight of a VW! Now that’s firepower!…and they were pretty darned accurate to boot….considering they were firing something like 40 kilometers.

Yesterday evening while surfing cable channels, I came into the middle of a commercial on Fox Business. It was showing O’s alleged BC calling it a fraud, I think they also mentioned the selective service registration and perhaps the Soc. Security number. I was somewhat shocked, not believing what i was seeing. I think the intention of the ad was to get Obama off the ballots in every State and have the dems replace him with another candidate. It said they needed so many signers on a petition to get this done. I couldn’t get the name of the group sponsoring the ad, but they posted a telephone number to call to sign the petition.
Wow! I haven’t seen anything like that before. Word is definitely hitting the
airwaves. I believe it came on during Neil Cavuto’s program: 8pm est.
Anyone else catch that?

As a member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard he witnessed appalling human rights abuses that caused him to question his faith in Islam and the current regime. He became a CIA spy and later escaped to the West. His contacts on the ground in Tehran tell him Islam’s days are numbered there.
“Many have lost faith in Islam,” says Reza Khalili, a pseudonym taken by the ex-spy for safety reasons. “In the streets of Tehran, people are cursing at Mohammad,” he reports. “Millions wake up to text messages they send each other every day mocking the regime and the religion.”
Despite the stereotypes of Iran’s fundamentalist identity, Khalili says that many are surprisingly sympathetic to the West. “The majority of Iranians are westernized,” he maintains. “They are one of the most westernized countries in the region.”
Khalili says that before the 1979 revolution, those who adhered to Islam did so mostly for cultural reasons. Many were like his grandmother, who was a very loving person. “The older generation respected it because of what they learned from their parents,” he notes. “The younger generation respected it even though they didn’t adhere to it.”
Due to an enormous level of disillusionment with the course of their nation, a surprising number have turned their back on Islam. “Many in Iran are turning to Christianity underground,” Khalili reports.
Khalili himself became a Christian in the U.S. after watching the JESUS Film and exploring the Scripture with a friend.
His heart goes out to his brothers and sisters in Iran, who are paying a huge price if their Christian faith is discovered by the regime. He cites a report by a former intelligence officer in the Revolutionary Guard, who recently defected to Europe. “There is much torture and suffering the intelligence agencies are bringing upon the converts,” he notes.
Some of the techniques used against Christians reflect tortures of bygone centuries. “Some they keep them in underground holes in total darkness and only feed them every other day,” he reports. “They torture the prisoner’s families in front of them so they can get the names of others in Bible studies.”
The former intelligence officer reported that in the city of Shiraz alone there are 30,000 files at the intelligence headquarters on Christian converts.
Further, the Revolutionary Guard’s intelligence has assigned units in major cities to infiltrate Christian groups, identify pastors and underground church members and make arrests.
Then they are forced under torture to agree to appear on TV confessing to criminal activities and having connection with Israel or America.
“The Ayatollah Khamenei ordered the burning of thousands of Bibles,” Khaili says. “He said the Bible is not a holy book, so it’s okay to burn them. Tens of thousands of Bibles have been burned and nobody talks about it.”
While thousands of people have lost their lives at the hands of the regime, Khalili sees a new day coming. “The only good news is that when the change comes, Islam will be gone from Persia like it had never entered the country,” he predicts. “This is the promise from our Lord, that once again He will establish Himself in Persia.”
Iran’s acquaintance with Western culture was due a lot to the former Shah whom Jimmy Carter refused to help when the Shah was dying and had been exiled from Iran. Egypt’s Sadat helped him…showing a lot more “christian” values than our president at the time.

Thanks. I too find it troubling and of course disrespectful. I don’t think I had to much time on my hands with the exception of all but 30 seconds to convey my thoughts – despite Starla’s question otherwise.
I see it ask mocking God. Not the same thing as someone using some fantasy moniker, of which I could care less. There is a significant difference between the two. At least there are a few of us that understand such with little thought.
