US Labor Dept. May 2012 employment data, June 1, 2012, Long term unemployed rose .3 million, Involuntary part-time workers 8.1 million, March April increases revised down

“We’ve added back more than 4.2 million private sector jobs and seen 26 straight months of job growth—but there’s more work to do.”…Obama Truth Team

“the Times of the nineteenth of December had published the official forecasts of the output of various classes of consumption goods in the fourth quarter of 1983, which was also the sixth quarter of the Ninth Three-Year Plan. Today’s issue contained a statement of the actual output, from which it appeared that the forecasts were in every instance grossly wrong. Winston’s job was to rectify the original figures by making them agree with the later ones.”…George Orwell, “1984”

Forget the unemployment rate, which is not going down and is grossly understated. Read today’s, June 1, 2012, Employment Situation report from the US Labor Department and look at the data.

Nonfarm payroll employment changed little in May (+69,000), and the unemployment rate was essentially unchanged at 8.2 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Employment increased in health care, transportation and warehousing, and wholesale trade but declined in construction. Employment was little changed in most other major

Household Survey Data

Both the number of unemployed persons (12.7 million) and the unemployment rate (8.2 percent) changed little in May. (See table A-1.)

Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men (7.8 percent) and Hispanics (11.0 percent) edged up in May, while the rates for adult women (7.4 percent), teenagers (24.6 percent), whites (7.4 percent), and blacks (13.6 percent) showed little or no change. The jobless rate for Asians was 5.2 percent in May (not seasonally adjusted), down from 7.0 percent a year earlier. (See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)

The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks and over) rose from 5.1 to 5.4 million in May. These individuals accounted for 42.8 percent of the unemployed. (See table A-12.)

The civilian labor force participation rate increased in May by 0.2 percentage point to 63.8 percent, offsetting a decline of the same amount in April. The employment-population ratio edged up to 58.6 percent in May. (See table A-1.)

The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons (sometimes referred to as involuntary part-time workers) edged up to 8.1 million over the month. These individuals were working part time because their hours had been cut back or because they were unable to find a full-time job. (See table A-8.)

In May, 2.4 million persons were marginally attached to the labor force, up from 2.2 million a year earlier. (The data are not seasonally adjusted.) These individuals were not in the labor force, wanted and were available for work, and had looked for a job sometime in the prior 12 months. They were not counted as unemployed because they had not searched for work in the 4 weeks preceding the survey. (See table A-16.)

Among the marginally attached, there were 830,000 discouraged workers in May, about the same as a year earlier. (The data are not seasonally adjusted.) Discouraged workers are persons not currently looking for work because they believe no jobs are available for them. The remaining 1.6 million persons marginally attached to the labor force in May had not searched for work in the 4 weeks preceding the survey for reasons such as school attendance or family responsibilities. (See table A-16.)

Establishment Survey Data

Total nonfarm payroll employment changed little in May (+69,000), following a similar change in April (+77,000). In comparison, the average monthly gain was 226,000 in the first quarter of the year. In May, employment rose in health care, transportation and warehousing, and wholesale trade, while construction lost jobs. (See table B-1.)

Health care employment continued to increase in May (+33,000). Within the industry, employment in ambulatory health care services, which includes offices of physicians and outpatient care centers, rose by 23,000 over the month. Over the year, health care employment has risen by 340,000.

Transportation and warehousing added 36,000 jobs over the month. Employment gains in transit and ground passenger transportation (+20,000) and in couriers and messengers (+5,000) followed job losses in those industries in April. Employment in both industries has shown little net change over the year. In May, truck transportation added 7,000 jobs.

Employment in wholesale trade rose by 16,000 over the month. Since reaching an employment low in May 2010, this industry has added 184,000 jobs.

Manufacturing employment continued to trend up in May (+12,000) following a similar change in April (+9,000). Job gains averaged 41,000 per month in the first quarter of this year. In May, employment rose in fabricated metal products (+6,000) and in primary metals (+4,000). Since its most recent low in January 2010, manufacturing employment has increased by 495,000.

Construction employment declined by 28,000 in May, with job losses occurring in specialty trade contractors (-18,000) and in heavy and civil engineering construction (-11,000).
Since reaching a low in January 2011, employment in construction has shown little change on net.

Employment in professional and business services was essentially unchanged in May. Since the most recent low point in September 2009, employment in this industry has grown by 1.4 million. In May, job losses in accounting and bookkeeping services (-14,000) and in services to buildings and dwellings (-14,000) were offset by small gains elsewhere in the industry.

Employment in other major industries, including mining and logging, retail trade, information, financial activities, leisure and hospitality, and government, changed little in May.

The average workweek for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls edged down by 0.1 hour to 34.4 hours in May. The manufacturing workweek declined by 0.3 hour to 40.5 hours, and factory overtime declined by 0.1 hour to 3.2 hours. The average workweek for production and nonsupervisory employees on private nonfarm payrolls was unchanged at 33.7 hours.
(See tables B-2 and B-7.)

In May, average hourly earnings for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls edged up by 2 cents to $23.41. Over the past 12 months, average hourly earnings have increased by 1.7 percent. In May, average hourly earnings of private-sector production and nonsupervisory employees edged down by 1 cent to $19.70. (See tables B-3 and B-8.)

The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for March was revised from +154,000 to +143,000, and the change for April was revised from +115,000 to +77,000.”

Inserted at the end:

“The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for March was revised from +154,000 to +143,000, and the change for April was revised from +115,000 to +77,000.”

Also important:

“The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks and over) rose from 5.1 to 5.4 million in May.”

“The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons (sometimes referred to as involuntary part-time workers) edged up to 8.1 million over the month. These individuals were working part time because their hours had been cut back or because they were unable to find a full-time job.”

These individuals were not in the labor force, wanted and were available for work, and had looked for a job sometime in the prior 12 months. Ambush Attempt On Alex Jones At Bilderberg Backfires

Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller tries to embarrass Alex Jones, but only embarrass themselves

    Paul Joseph Watson
    Friday, June 1, 2012

A ridiculous ambush attempt on Alex Jones by reporters working for Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller at the site of the Bilderberg protest spectacularly backfired as the crowd and the Daily Caller’s own readers lambasted the website’s attempt to characterize the Bilderberg Group as insignificant.

    Continues here…..

Good Morning All; attached is the second article by Natasha Korecki’s interview of Tony Rezko, who ‘will NOT speak of Barack Obama’ and say’s he was indicted on crimes he did NOT committ yet admits that he did committ criminal acts of which he was not indicted on…Natasha does not ask Rezko about his partner Daniel T. Frawley wearing a wire on him for over two years and him taking credit for his incarceration? OR Frawley’s deposition where he makes statements about payments made of $400,000 and $1.5 million from Rezko to Obama?? You would think this would be something you would ask Tony, something your readers want to know…Not how’s your soccer game and what’s for dinner.

  4. OT, but there is something that is bothering me tremendously ever since I saw a video posted on a previous thread. This video strongly recommends that patriots stop paying on bank indebtedness so as to bring a collapse to the financial system. The recommendation was urgent and strong, because the implication was that this is the only way to stop the evil banking system. The word, “Revolution” was prominently displayed.

These people that are promoting this strategy are nothing but anarchists. To collapse the financial system in that way is playing right into the hands of Obama and his minions.

Nothing would make the Marxists any happier than to further destroy the economy and create unbelievable chaos so that Obama could declare martial law.

The voices promoting such action are NOT on the side of true patriotism regardless of what they say. It is very troublesome and sad to see well-meaning folks swept into such a belief system.

  5. 10 Things That Every American Should Know About The Federal Reserve

What would happen if the Federal Reserve was shut down permanently? That is a question that CNBC asked recently, but unfortunately most Americans don’t really think about the Fed much.

Most Americans are content with believing that the Federal Reserve is just another stuffy government agency that sets our interest rates and that is watching out for the best interests of the American people. But that is not the case at all.

The truth is that the Federal Reserve is a private banking cartel that has been designed to systematically destroy the value of our currency, drain the wealth of the American public and enslave the federal government to perpetually expanding debt.

During this election year, the economy is the number one issue that voters are concerned about. But instead of endlessly blaming both political parties, the truth is that most of the blame should be placed at the feet of the Federal Reserve.

The Federal Reserve has more power over the performance of the U.S. economy than anyone else does. The Federal Reserve controls the money supply, the Federal Reserve sets the interest rates and the Federal Reserve hands out bailouts to the big banks that absolutely dwarf anything that Congress ever did.

If the American people are ever going to learn what is really going on with our economy, then it is absolutely imperative that they get educated about the Federal Reserve.

The following are 10 things that every American should know about the Federal Reserve….

#1 The Federal Reserve System Is A Privately Owned Banking Cartel

Who in the world comes up with this misinformation garbage??? Better yet, who in the world believes this hogwash and whatever conspiratorial site this junk comes from says a ton about any person that visits it…..

    nuff said,
William, that stuff is from an old rumor started in 2009. Geithner and Bernanke have “supposed” to have been arrested any number of times –
Just google in “Geithner and Bernanke arrested”. This just gets regurgitated repeatedly. On second thought, don’t waste your valuable time.

Seaque, that video does not say what you think it says. It is referring to the old AIG mess when Geithner was the head of the NY Federal Reserve Bank. It has nothing to do with his present Treasury position.

I know that, you know that, and most educated folks here know that!!!

But those RAP people don’t…..when all else failed, they locked onto Ron Paul as their savior….

    Not going to happen…..

Respectfully I address you and JS as RP supporters. CW, graciously gives us free reign as to the topics we discuss, and I appreciate that. I also respect RP for many of his stands on particular topics (not all), but I’ve been thinking this site is being bombarded by you guys in order to hijack the topic of eligibility. I think eligibility is the subject here. Correct me if I’m wrong, CW. I don’t want anyone’s topics censored. That would be Orwellian, but at the same time, I don’t wish to see this very important issue of eligibility being drowned out. There must be other forums where the RP views can be discussed. BTW, IB, this is not addressed to you. I have always valued your comments.

Wiliam and Cabby, I agree wholeheartedly!…These people are either naive or delusional or both. You would think some people would learn after the RAP nonsense; it just amazes me. I am sure Dr Paul is a fine man and he has represented Texas well….But he has no chance of being President.

His supporters are to be admired for their total and unyielding support, its just unfortunate that some go off the edge.

  21. Cabby - AZ

    William and HonorFirst,
Yes, I agree. Dr. Paul has the right fiscal policies, but getting to implement them is another matter. Even if he were to gain the presidency, he would still have to use his persuasion with a Congress that is quite divided when it comes to maintaining the status quo. To think that he as the U.S. President could accomplish all that he espouses is to cede to the executive branch the level of power that Obama is exerting, and that is a constitutional no-no.
There are not going to be any quick fixes or overnight miracles.

SueQ, I agree that “distraction” is one of the chief ways to divert attention away from the present, basic subject: Eligibility.

Thanks Gordo for the The Roth Show. Corsi & Zullo are real heroes sticking their necks out in many dangerous places – Kenya and Hawaii especially. I seem to remember how Corsi became sick in Kenya and had trouble getting out. Very courageous.

Confirmation of the payments comes just as a report from Kenya Broadcasting Corp. admitted it was politics, not the contrived paperwork reason, for which Corsi was detained.”

  25. Mr. Bill(ms. helga)

Gordo -Thanks for the memories. I am waiting to hear the bombshell they have to announce.

  26. The Corsi/Zullo interview linked by Gordo:

Something that amazes me is that not one official in HI can be located who is honest and willing to speak to all of the criminal activity within the gov. there and DOH specifically that they must have witnessed or have knowledge of. They all feel protected against facing the law by their superiors and apparently no one has a conscience.

I certainly commend Arpaio, Corsi, Zullo and the rest for this investigation, but it would appear that there is still nothing but hearsay evidence since they are facing a fraud like no other within our gov….everywhere.

Zullo states that the only place to go is Congress and most agree that Congress, both sides, have demonstrated their own lack of patriotism and care for the law itself.
If there is nowhere to go with the discovery/evidence and no one cares then the country has already reached the point of no return unless God Himself interferes with some maor disasters to turn people around and back to Him.

There better be a heck of a lot more fanfare to attract people to the next press conference than before….and there better be a lot more expressive outrage during that press conference because people are just dead these days when it comes to the elephant in their individual living rooms that is effecting their very livelihoods and rights. I mean, if people are comfortable with all of this evidence and don’t put pressure on Congress to act then they’ll simply reap what they have sown by their lethargy.

As reported here in early June of 2010, a senior election official in Hawaii announced that a long-form birth certificate does not exist on file in the state of Hawaii. Adams also reported that there is no record of Obama being born at any hospital in the state of Hawaii. WND now reports that Tim Adams sworn in an affidavit the details of his time as a Senior Elections Clerk for the Honolulu Elections Division. The affidavit is embedded below including Tim Adams first announcement regarding his time in Hawaii. Previous reports on Tim Adams linked below…

Former Hawaii elections clerk Tim Adams has signed an affidavit swearing he was told by his supervisors in Hawaii that no long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Barack Obama Jr. in Hawaii and that neither Queens Medical Center nor Kapi’olani Medical Center in Honolulu had any record of Obama having been born in their medical facilities.

We are where we are today because of the lethargy of 20 years of bad yesterdays….

When we stopped protecting our borders and ceased deporting illegal aliens coming to America…..

When 40% of the people living in America don’t even pay taxes yet receive big monthly welfare handouts from the government…

When the IRS pays illegal aliens 4 billion dollars a year for dependent children living in Mexico that are not, nor have never lived in America….

When less than 40% of the people qualified to vote in an election even care enough to vote …..

When both major political parties sound and act alike, and neither give a damn about the Constitution ……

When our Commander in Chief goes around the world apologizing to all the third world countries for America……..

When the president-elects wife says on national television the night he won the election that “this is the first time in my adult life I’m proud of my country”…….

When our country is almost 16 Trillion dollars in debt and climbing…..

When you add up all the damages over the past 20 years, it spells a nation that went to sleep in the 1980’s, and sadly it hasn’t woke up yet……

Couldn’t be a more boring guy while Cindi Rice knows more world leaders than any male VP candidate, she was National Security advisor and Secretary of State. There is no male more qualified than she. 37. Some would say I’m a purist. I’m not. I’m not looking for the perfect candidate. I don’t expect to find perfection. I’m looking for a candidate that is by-and-large on the right side of my stated priorities, not perfectly, but generally — following the Constitution, shrinking government and protecting individual liberty. The bipartisan big-government brand of Kerry-Bush-Obama-McCain fails miserably on all counts. I wouldn’t attempt to choose the greatest band of all time if my only choices were the Backstreet Boys and N’ Sync. I wouldn’t attempt to choose a girlfriend if my only choices were Roseanne Barr and Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

But this doesn’t mean the greatest band necessarily has to be the Beatles or the Rolling Stones. There are degrees of greatness. There is room for argument. My girlfriend doesn’t have to be a supermodel (though I am taking any and all supermodel applications for the job). There are degrees of beauty. There are different types of it. There are other factors to consider.

  38. I kind of hope that he picks Trump. At least he has the gonads to tell the media, who will be at a feavered pitch in October, where to stick it.

  39. Mitt Romney is NOT a Natural Born Citizen
Mitt’s father, George Romney, was born in Mexico and was a Mexican citizen. There’s no indication that George Romney was ever naturalized as a U.S. Citizen and under Mexican law, George Romney was a Mexican citizen, regardless of whether or not he had two U.S. citizen parents at birth.

According to Mexican law, even the children of Mexican citizens are considered citizens of Mexico. When Mitt Romney was born, he acquired dual-citizenship as both a U.S. and Mexican citizen.

Therefore under Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution, Mitt Romney is NOT a Natural Born Citizen and ineligible for the office of President.

Lawsuits must be filed immediately in order to prevent Romney from becoming the GOP nominee or taking the oath of office if he’s elected President.

  40. seaque,
You know better. He was born on U.S. soil to two U.S citizens. Don’t be crazy here. The Ron Paul blather and this stuff is wasting space. LOVE Ron Paul, but move on. Anxiously awaiting CW appearance results with Larry Sinclair. It was a great “R” day today. Trends are comforting.

  41. Mitt Romney’s father George was born in Chihuahua, Mexico in 1907, the son of Gaskell Romney and Anna Amelia Pratt. Three generations of Romneys lived in Mexico because Miles Park Romney, a polygamist, moved the family there in 1884 as it became increasingly clear that the U.S. government would not tolerate polygamy in the Utah Territory.

The 1882 Edmunds Act stripped polygamists of the basic rights of U.S. citizenship, denying them the right to vote, serve on juries or hold office. Not dissimilar to current immigration raids, U.S. federal agents hunted and arrested polygamists. Polygamists were forced to leave the country or risk jail.

Miles Romney chose to leave the country, bringing his multiple wives and children with him across the southern border. In his 1902 book The Story of the Mormons, author William Alexander Linn states that the “Secretario de Fomento of Mexico” related that “The laws of this country [Mexico] do not permit polygamy,” and that the contracts for the establishment of Mormon colonies in Mexico required the same. If true, Miles Romney then knowingly arrived in direct violation of Mexican immigration law.

Utah became a state in 1896, only after laws were passed there prohibiting polygamy. While polygamy may have been illegal in both countries, the Romneys still found Mexico more to their liking. All four of George’s (Mitt’s father) grandparents would live out their days in Mexico, with Anna’s mother Dorsey being the last to die — in Chihuahua in 1929.

  42. It is absolutely clear that Mitt Romney is NOT a Natural Born Citizen unless he can prove that George Romney gained citizenship from naturalization prior to Mitt’s birth in 1947.

  43. It is now June 2, 2012

  44. seaque, give it up. The Romneys never renounced their U.S. citizenship.

Move on. Either vote to get barky out of the White House or stay home. Your choice, but don’t try to subvert the most important election of our lifetime with this garbage.

  48. Philo-Publius

Judging by the Happersett decision and most interpretations of the eligibility clause, a president’s parents would only have to be citizens of the U.S. at the time of his or her birth, not natural-born citizens.

Therefore, even if George W. Romney’s birth in Mexico disqualified him from being a natural-born citizen, Mitt Romney could be a natural-born citizen, because his father was a citizen when his son was born.

Ancestry – Mitt Romney (natural born Citizen) by CDR Kerchner

When Mitt Romney was born in the USA in Detroit MI in 1947, his parents were both clearly recognized as being Citizens of the United States per the U.S. Nationality Act of 1940. This Mitt was born in the USA to parents [plural] who were both Citizens of the country and Mitt is a “natural born Citizen of the U.S.”

I was just browsing through my emails from Charles Kerchner to post exactly what you have. Beat me to the punch…

  58. Good Morning Mrs. SueQ

    I’m off work today….yeah… :-0

  59. Happy birthday Old Salt ! Happy birthday Bessie! Thank you for your patriotism and willingness to fight for our country: physically and/or verbally. May God protect you and grant you good health and prosperity.

  60. The Edmunds Tucker Act did not strip US Citizenship. George Romney was born a US (and possibly Mexican) citizen, and returned to the US at an early age. If he had Mexican citizenship, it expired at age 18. Mitt was born in Detroit to 2 US Citizens and is natural born.

  61. SueK | June 2, 2012 at 1:36 am |

    seaque, give it up……

    Well said SueK…..

There have been several instances whereby I began to address these RAP leeches only to withdraw (delete) my responses with consideration being – not worth my time – they are what they are.

For quite some time in the past, I did a significant amount of research on RAP, its followers and how/why they transitioned over to Ron Paul, including but not limited to many comments made by Ron Paul which actually attracted them. But again, not worth posting nor addressing RAP persons, here or anywhere else.

  63. Mr. Bill(ms. helga)

I hope this will help clear up the confusion –

Why Could Romney’s Father Run For President If He Was Born In Mexico?

  64. Mr. Bill(ms. helga)

PS – I hope the bombshell that Corsi is talking about is that Obama was born in Kenya. Again I ask the question . why was O’s half sister who was born in Indonesia made a citizen of Hawaii??(TOO)

  65. My sincerest thanks to everybody here at CW for taking the time to educate me about the truth of our so called political system. I have officially been on Earth for …AHEM! 4/5 of a century. Damn that does sound like a long time. It also sounds like a large bottle of BONDED OLD GRANDAD! Shine on harvest “MOON”. AAAWWWWOOOOOOOOO!

  66. Mr. Bill……………………
One of my questions has been for a long time……….since when is a BORN citizen of Indonesia also a BORN citizen of Hawaii? Could there actually be a way of being BORN TWICE? Perhaps, but I would think that it happens only in the SICK,WARPED,and otherwise PERVERTED minds of the LUNATICS who roam freely among us.

  67. Old Salt, have a great Happy Birthday, and please know that your comments are especially needful and appealing because of your life’s experiences and love of country. We are thankful that you contribute so much to us here! May this be a good year for you.

  68. Bessie – Happy Birthday to you! You always bring so much to the table especially because of your knowledge re. all things Chicago! Your posts compliment CW’s research, and we all appreciate that.

  69. Suek…………………..
Thanks again for the Lawson cards. As you already know I have a special appreciation for the level of art that is used in each of them. I also appreciate the thoughtfulness of everybody on my BIRTHDAY. I have come to regard all of you as brothers, and sisters.

  70. It is absolutely clear that Mitt Romney is NOT a Natural Born Citizen unless he can prove that George Romney gained citizenship from naturalization prior to Mitt’s birth in 1947.

  71. There is only one candidate still running, ELIGIBLE for office.

    Congressman Dr. Ron Paul

  72. Seaque, for pity sakes drop this Romney ineligibility stuff. It is a waste of time and space. We all can read and have come to our own conclusions about what the truth really is.

To put it bluntly, “That dog won’t hunt anymore.” What is the purpose of the constant repetition? We already know what your opinion is, and you are entitled to it, just as others of us are to ours.

  73. Time Bomb: Banks Pressured to Buy Government Debt

[CNBC] US and European regulators are essentially forcing banks to buy up their own government’s debt—a move that could end up making the debt crisis even worse, a Citigroup analysis says.

Regulators are allowing banks to escape counting their country’s debt against capital requirements and loosening other rules to create a steady market for government bonds, the study says.

While that helps governments issue more and more debt, the strategy could ultimately explode if the governments are unable to make the bond payments, leaving the banks with billions of toxic debt, says Citigroup strategist Hans Lorenzen.

“Captive bank demand can buy time and can help keep domestic yields low,” Lorenzen wrote in an analysis for clients. “However, the distortions that build up over time can sow the seeds of an even bigger crisis, if the time bought isn’t used very prudently.”

John McCain brainwashed by North Viets or idiot?, McCain did not question Obama in 2008, John McCain states Obama will stay on AZ ballot, Not McCain’s job
Was John McCain brainwashed by the North Vietnamese during his capture?

    Is John McCain an idiot?

Do you have another reason for McCain not questioning Obama’s eligibility in 2008 after John McCain was challenged on his?

Do you have another reason why John McCain would insist that Obama stay on the Arizona ballot even if not eligible?

    Wake up people !!

It is entirely possible that your father’s and my path crossed at the Eniwetok Atomic testing in the Marshall Islands.”

oldsalt79, sorry for the delayed response, and Happy Birthday.

It was my uncle. I am not sure which test he was there for. I just remember him saying that they were all dug-in and that the only females on the island were mosquitoes.
He was with the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team.

Thank you for your service, Sir.

My wife’s dad survived the battle of the Coral Sea, as well as other battles.

At another time, while onshore, he was knocked off of his feet when the ammunition ship, USS Mount Hood exploded. He was in charge of the investigation into that incident. I was digging around here a few years ago and found some original photos of the explosion.

Another time, he volunteered to take a 100 ft motor-launch into a resupply depot with orders to beg, borrow or steal ammunition. On his way back to the fleet, he got caught up in Bull Halsey’s Typhoon. Of all the events that he endured in the war, that was the one, from that point on, that was the real life changer.

He was on board the USS Scorpion (SS-278) just days before her loss. He was defending one of her crewmen. I don’t remember the details of the case, but somewhere around here, we have a gift (a silver cigarette case) to him from the thankful crew, for his success. She went down on February 1st, 1944, with all hands lost.

Donovan arranged to have him on the liaison staff at the end of the war and the signing by the Japanese.

He went to work for Donovan in 1937, right out of Harvard Law and was engaged to marry his daughter, prior to her tragic death in 1940.

I wish he was still around, now that I have time to ask questions.

    Congrats on the 4/5ths.

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950’s for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let’s just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement: Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don’t like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. We’ll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.

We’ll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens. We’ll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO’s and rednecks. We’ll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we’ll help provide them security.

We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We’ll keep the SUV’s, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We’ll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We’ll keep “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “The National Anthem.” I’m sure you’ll be happy to substitute “Imagine”, “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing”, “Kum Ba Ya” or “We Are the World”..

We’ll practice trickle down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we’ll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Sincerely, John J. Wall Law Student and an American

    P. S. Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin Sheen, Barbra Streisand, & Jane Fonda with you.

    P. S. S. And you won’t have to press 1 for English when you call our country

  83. Bessie and Old Salt – happy birthday! Two of my faves. It looks like Zimmerman is the distraction du jeur. NC Dems are imploding, I think I will go read more about it. Gotta love the pitififul face of Obama captured on Drudge, over the current bad news befalling him.

  84. Bessie………………..
I guess that makes TWO of us who are stuck with being…….Gemenis, and whatever luck that might carry with it. Have a great BIRTHDAY,and BE SURE TO EXTINGUISH ALL THE CANDLES ON THE CAKE. Could the ICING on the cake also be representative of the leavaned product inside. I am sure everyone has heard the old saying about a special event being the “ICING ON THE CAKE”. LOL.

    My friend,

Just having you here and knowing of you, is “Icing on the Cake” for all us…

  98. Louisiana Republican State Convention promises to be a donnybrook for the ages

    Establishment Shenanigans in Louisiana

Washington – Saturday’s Louisiana Republican State Convention in Shreveport promises to be a political donnybrook for the ages. A fight pitting the Ron Paul forces against the rest of the party is likely to lead the convention to split into two competing meetings that will proceed to put together two, somewhat different Louisiana delegations to send the Republican National Convention in Tampa in August, and leaving it to the national GOP’s Contest Committee to sort it out.

  99. Romney running mate? It’s going to be a governor or Senator who can pull the swing states and have credibility with the tea party, and since Romney represents the Northeast, it will likely be someone from the south or Midwest. My bet is Jim DeMint, and think he’d be an excellent choice.

Choosing yet another globalist-elitist like Condi Rice would be a *critical* mistake.

Tennessee middle school assistant football coach, age 26, fired for a song he wrote and played!
This could be the next number one hit country song. It’s the best effort yet at encapsulating the outrage at the oversteps of this government in an entertaining song.
Apparently, the guy was fired over the song because some parents complained. If you like it, help it go “viral” by passing it along to everyone you know.

  102. citizenwells

    Jim DeMint, yes.

  103. bob strauss

I am beginning to believe, the “obots” have taken control of the Ron Paul supporters, in an effort to disrupt the RNC convention, just like obots did to the DNC party in 2008. It’s their style, just like the “occupiers”.

  104. bob strauss

bob, I would like to add a reminder.
It’s the damn office, not the person.
It’s also the good of the nation.
The teacher at N Rowan didn’t understand that, most Dems don’t & some Republicans.

  106. Happy Birthday, Old Salt and Bessie.

Seaque. I will agree that George Romney was not a NBC, but Mitt Romney certainly is. George was a U.S. citizen at birth, though not NBC, even if he was born in Mexico.

  107. Happy, happy birthday to both Old Salt and Bessie. Hope all of your wishes and dreams come true (especially in November).

    Thanks for asking,

Working tonight, had to get the yard mowed.

Not sure what the Ron Paul supporters are doing on here, still “trying”.

It’s over folks, Romney IS the Republican nominee, and the best Paul can hope for now is a position within the Romney administration IF he is elected (I am still under the impression that Romney can NOT win, I believe that the PTB have “something” that will turn the Country off to Romney).

I’d also like to remind people that it wasn’t all that long ago that a “brokered” convention was being discussed. I find it odd that in a few months, the media cut the “race” to a choice between two candidates, and that one candidate got NO positive media reports, and the other was reported on whenever he broke wind.

So my opinion is that we have a choice between a NWO “commie”, and a NWO “moderate”.

    Not interested in either one.

    That’s why I haven’t posted lately.

I’d also like to point out once again that this whole “where Obama was born” stuff is simply a distraction (Trump KNOWS this in my opinion and is using it for “attention”).

Obama’s father (the father listed on his so called Birth Certificate) was NEVER a US citizen, and since the Constitution states ONLY a Natural Born citizen can be President, then this DISqualifies Obama from eligibility.

The Huffington Post had an article about Romney’s father being born in Mexico, and I left a comment on that story that pretty much stated that since Obama’s father was NOT a United States citizen then Obama is NATIVE Born, but NOT NATURAL Born, and was replied too with insults about “tin foil” and such.

It never ceases to amaze me that when you state the TRUTH, you get insulted into submission. No REAL debate, just insults.

I am just very disappointed at how easy it is for people to LIE.

People who actually state FACTS are ridiculed, and those who state UNtruths are held on a pedestal.

Like oldsalt(80!!) so rightfully points out, UP is DOWN.

  109. Cabby - AZ

It is great to see William and Interested Bystander back today!!

I’ve always liked and appreciated Jim DeMint.

Another is Bob McDonnell, Governor of VA…. I recently heard of his background and credentials (military) and his work as governor and was quite impressed. Anyone know more about him?

  110. I posted this a couple of months ago. It’s worth listening to again. Jim DeMint:

“The new debate in the Republican party needs to be between conservatives and libertarians,” says Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.). “A lot of the libertarian ideas that Ron Paul is talking about…should not be alien to any Republican.”

  111. Personally, I would like to see RAND Paul as VP. Very reasonable. Breath of fresh air. Bob McDonnell would not be my choice. I live in VA and he is squishy.
