Rick Santorum endorsement, Citizen Wells endorses Santorum for presidency, God Family Constitution Defense Budget, Legal immigration, Obama eligibility

My friends have been asking me for weeks what my preference in a presidential candidate is. For weeks I have been stating, Rick Santorum. An intelligent, well informed friend of mine who I have known for many years agrees.

So far my biggest gripe with Santorum was his response to Obama’s eligibility deficiency. However, many otherwise good Americans have been fooled by the Orwellian brainwashing of the mainstream media. Like many decisions in life, Santorum for me is the lesser of evils, however, I find most of his positions appealing.

From the DesMoines Register August 7, 2011.

“Candidate profile: Rick Santorum refuses to compromise on principles”

“Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum knew he was in trouble as he sought re-election to his third term in 2006.

Public opinion was hardening against the war in Iraq and the president who started it. All signs pointed to a bad year for Republicans.

His supporters were blunt, recalled Charlie Artz, a Harrisburg lawyer and a friend since they were in their 20s. To win, they said, you need to change
course. You need to soften your opinions.

But Santorum wouldn’t budge. He described the state of America’s families as a moral crisis. He declared the nation at a critical crossroads in a fight
against radical Islamists. And he ultimately lost by 18 points to Bob Casey Jr., the largest margin of defeat for an incumbent senator since 1980.

“Rick is a very devout Catholic guy, and he believes in the principles of the founding fathers of this country,” Artz said. “He is not willing to compromise
on that. He will stand for his beliefs and his principles above any political expediency.”

Santorum, 53, is not about to start mincing words now that he’s seeking the Republican presidential nomination. That leaves little room in the middle between his supporters and his detractors.

Jamie Johnson of Stratford is a Christian pastor who has worked in 40 Republican political campaigns over the past two decades. He said he was drawn to join Santorum’s presidential bid after watching him lead the charge on family values legislation in Congress.

“I thought, ‘Wow. This guy is a guy of energy and passion and convictions,’ ” Johnson said. “If there was ever a time for a muscular Republican leader to
stand up against President Obama, it is now. I don’t see Michele Bachmann or Tim Pawlenty or Rick Perry having the intellectual or spiritual muscle to go toe
to toe with Barack Obama.”

Jim Burn, chairman of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, has closely monitored Santorum’s political career, too, but sees him in an entirely different light.
By 2006, Pennsylvanians had come to view Santorum as completely out of touch with their values, he said.

“He was viewed as a Republican with extreme right-wing beliefs and was not viable,” Burn said.

His story starts with emigrating granddad
Santorum’s political outlook is firmly rooted in family.

On the campaign trail, he frequently tells the story of how his grandfather came to America from Italy in the 1920s because he detested living under fascist
dictator Benito Mussolini. His grandfather worked in Pennsylvania’s coal mines until he was 72, Santorum said.

During a campaign stop in July in Marion, Ia., Santorum told of kneeling before his grandfather’s casket as a teenager and looking at his large folded hands,
holding a rosary. His grandfather’s independence and hard work brought freedom to his family, he said.

“He gave me the opportunities that I have,” Santorum said. “I feel like I am standing on his shoulders.”

He describes his grandfather, Pietro, known as Pete, and his father, Aldo, a psychologist, as strong-willed, a trait he shares.

His dad was a typical Italian father who “would always yell first and speak softly later,” he said.

Santorum grew up in Virginia and Pennsylvania. Both his father and mother, Catherine, a nurse, worked for the Veterans Administration.

After earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees, he became a staffer for Republican state Sen. Doyle Corman while he earned a law degree. Then, too, he
demonstrated his strong-willed streak.

Corman said he hired Santorum because he was bright and ambitious, and Corman let Santorum know he was free to argue with his boss about politics.

“If Rick thought that I was headed in the wrong direction, we would have debates over it, and the staff couldn’t believe how hot our debates would get at
times,” Corman recalled in a phone interview. “You could hear us through the walls, but I wanted that, and Rick made me think things out well.”

Fast-rising career in U.S. House, Senate
He was a young man on a fast track. He started work for a prominent Pittsburgh law firm and did some lobbying at the Pennsylvania Capitol. Four years after
graduating from law school, he launched a bid for Congress.

Corman and others told him to forget it because it would be too difficult to defeat a long-term Democratic incumbent.

“He beat that seven-term incumbent, and the rest is history,” Corman said.

As a 32-year-old freshman, Santorum joined former U.S. Rep. Jim Nussle of Iowa and others to focus on government reform, becoming a member of the “Gang of Seven” that exposed the House banking and post office scandals.

In 1994, at 36, he won election to the Senate, once again unseating an incumbent, Democrat Harris Wofford. Two years later, he was an author and floor manager of a landmark welfare reform act that moved millions of people from the welfare rolls to the work force.

Again and again, he pressed abortion fight
It was about this time that he and his family experienced a defining moment, underlining his commitment to reverence for life.

After Santorum and his wife arrived in Washington, D.C., their family quickly grew to three children. But in 1996, Karen Santorum, who had worked as a neo-
natal nurse and a lawyer, experienced a difficult pregnancy.

During labor, she developed a severe infection in her uterus, and her temperature soared to 105 degrees. Their son was born prematurely and lived only two hours.

Karen Santorum describes how she and her husband brought their deceased infant home instead of allowing the child to be placed in a refrigerated morgue.
Their daughter, Elizabeth, cuddled the infant and announced, “This is my baby brother, Gabriel; he is an angel.”

A priest celebrated the Mass of the Angels in his grandparents’ living room, and the casket was placed in the back seat of the family’s van as they drove to
the cemetery.

Karen Santorum wrote a book about her son, “Letters to Gabriel: The True Story of Gabriel Michael Santorum,” which includes a forward by Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

At the same time, Rick Santorum was leading efforts in the U.S. Senate to ban what he describes as partial-birth abortions.

Santorum acknowledges that other Republican presidential candidates also say they oppose abortion. But he portrays himself as the candidate who has a proven
record fighting to restrict it.

He has spoken of losing a battle against President Bill Clinton for a partial-birth abortion act.

“I didn’t just offer (the bill), but I stood there and fought … year in and year out,” Santorum said. “We lost because Bill Clinton would veto the bill. …
But I continued to fight. I continued to stand up for life, and God blessed us.” (The bill was signed into law under President George W. Bush.)

As senator, called for balancing the budget
Besides championing anti-abortion legislation in the Senate, he supported a balanced federal budget and a line-item veto to curb spending.

That record makes him the right choice to lead a nation confronting out-of-control spending and a downgraded credit rating, he says.

Even before the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Santorum proposed transforming the U.S. military from a Cold War force to a more agile one to meet modern threats. He was also a leader on U.S.-Israeli relations, authoring the “Syria Accountability Act” and the “Iran Freedom and Support Act,” despite initial opposition from President Bush.”

“Santorum has campaigned more days and conducted more events in Iowa than any other candidate. But he has had difficulty gaining traction. In The Des Moines Register’s Iowa Poll in June, he registered 4 percent support among likely Republican caucusgoers.

But he takes heart in a Quinnipiac University poll released last week that showed him in a dead heat with Obama in a theoretical presidential matchup in
Pennsylvania, a key swing state. And he reminds voters that he has twice defeated incumbent Democrats.

He also notes that Abraham Lincoln lost two Senate races before he was elected president.

His friend Artz says Santorum will outwork other candidates and would make a great president because he would always put the country first.

“I think he is going to surprise some people out there,” Artz said.”

““Rick won’t apologize for America being great, and he will defend Israel. He didn’t shy away from taking on the partial-birth abortion ban or welfare reform,
and he’s certainly not going to shy away from getting this country back on track.” — Kim Lehman, Iowa’s National Republican Committeewoman and former president of Iowa Right to Life

“I don’t comment on who would be a good president or a bad president, but I can tell you that a lot of Rick Santorum’s policies and priorities are not in
keeping with core constitutional principles.” — Rev. Barry Lynn, executive director for Americans United for Separation of Church and State

“Not many politicians have spine; this one does.” — Talk-show host Glenn Beck, introducing Santorum before a June interview on Fox News”

Rick Santorum meets my priorities of :

God
Family
Constitution
Defense
Budget

Rick Santorum, like other decent members of Congress such as Howard Coble was brainwashed by the mainstream media and their own congressional resources.

Rick Santorum told WND, “My understanding is that issue was solved. If there’s evidence to the contrary [showing Obama is not eligible], they should bring it forth.”

When Santorum was reminded about the Natural Born Citizen requirement he allegedly responded “I don’t think that’s what the Constitution requires, and he (President Obama) was born in the country, so it doesn’t matter.”

I personally believe that Rick Santorum, when properly advised , will reconsider his position on Obama’s eligibility and will be open to ask more questions and seek more answers.

Mr. Santorum, I am at your service.

  1. It is beginning to happen. The PAYOLA is started. Bachmanns campaign Manager has (ALLEGEDLY) joined the Ron Paul campaign….for a huge fee. But guess what! Where did the alleged money originate……I will bet that it originated from the LIBERAL LEFT. They saw the Bachman Campaign as dangerous so they found a weak link and exploited it. The Ron Paul campaign says that he was not paid a dime……from them. That doesn’t change the fact that he was probably paid. The only other source would be the DNC. They have a lot to gain! Just some more of the POLITICAL FECES that they PLAY WITH SO WELL.

  2. Isn’t that what we have seen from the Soetoro crowd for a long time. Lies, payoffs, and outright dishonesty. NOTHING LIKE BUYING YOUR VOTES. If Bachmann was damaged then they think that her following would defect to the liberal camp. Again they are wrong. It will only make voters more determined than ever to vote against those who try to rig the election or, otherwise buy their votes. Watch the LIBERALS for LOTS MORE OF THIS SORT OF BEHAVIOR.

  3. CW, your fine endorsement of Rick Santorum has brought tears to my eyes. I have watched him over his years in the Senate and have known all along that he is a true conservative. It is just that when the race was joined by so many others who took over the front positions, that he sort of faded into obscurity. Perhaps, his moment has come to be recognized for his true worth. I pray so, especially since there is a lack luster now with the others.

Furthermore, I believe he could win over Obama, more so than the other frontrunners. He has the zeal and perseverance within himself, and it could catch fire with the general electorate, imho.

  4. The one thing about the Santorum choice is, without trying to sound too apocalyptic here, an honest dealing with the confrontation between good and evil these days. We will no longer have the pleasure of kicking that can down the road. It’s now or never when it comes to acknowledging the fact that the true God is hardly recognized in the culture or even known by the young. He’s been purposefully kicked out and the believers are going to have to take the bloody fight head on to save themselves eternally if not their beloved country. That turning of our collective back on Him can only result in His lifting of His protective hand from us and nature itself will answer to all the sin which is un-natural to it. We’re already witnessing the beginning of that. It’s not the loud, flashy type that God has used throughout history to work things through for the good….and that’s in order to show, in the end, that it is His work…not any individual’s!! Amen!

  5. Santorum is a great man, and I agree with everything he says every time he opens his mouth. He has a zero tax plan on manufacturing firms that bring jobs back to America, is pro Israel, pro America and understands the dangers we face in today’s world. He also understands Congress, and he debates well. Other candidates may be good too, but Santorum is a really good choice, and I would be very enthusiastic about voting for him against Obama if he wins the nomination.

  6. Didn’t Santorum lose reelection in his own state ?
How is he going to cobble enough electoral votes to unseat the Usurper?

  7. Got my “sunspot” comment out of moderation for last topic. It’s “interesting”!

I think that is the concern about Santorum, Pat 1789. I think it will be interesting to see where he comes out in Iowa. But if it comes down to Newt, Romney and Santorum, then at least voters have gotten serious about what we face in 2012. It’s going to be an epic election.

  9. As Santorum has pointed out, Lincoln lost several elections.
    As did Churchill.

  10. True. He has a strong work ethic and there are no scandals surrounding him; not even a hint of them.

  11. I tremble, however, if he should become a frontrunner. We have yet to see how much so-called “dirt” that the present administration will pull up. They are specialists in lying, smearing, and deceiving. This seems to be the modus operandi of these hoods – knock them down one by one so that there is only one who will be left standing – the “one”.

    Hey All,

Just wait until UNsubstantiated accusations by several women that he sexually harrassed them comes out.

THAT should turn Tina and others off of Santorum.

    It worked against Cain.

Or maybe they’ll say that Santorum doesn’t attend Church each Sunday.

They’ll come up with SOMETHING, until Romney is the only one left.

Well said, Cabby. I too am with CW on the Santorum endorsement. I’m trying to get my wife’s Iowa family on board too. They are in the Newt camp. Did you see the recent Judicial Watch “honorable mentions” fo r most corrupt politicians in 2011? They all like Santorum, but don’t think he can we because he hasn’t caught fire yet… All it takes is a good showing in Iowa…

    Hey All,

It is my opinion that Santorum was raised in Politics, and knows the “game” well.

I’ll reserve judgment on whether I can support him if he is the nominee.

Can someone explain to me what responsibilities the Government has in “family values”?

Am I to believe that Government is part of my “family” now?

  17. IB, I agree with you that the government should play in a minimal role in the “family values” department. However, there is nothing wrong with desiring an individual with decent moral values is extremely important to me. With regard to abortion, and having two beautiful children whom I watched via ultrasound during my wife’s pregnancy, I believe that it is a child in the womb and not a mass of cells thus it is not inconsistent in trying to protect that individuals life from undue harm. With respect to gay marriage, I do not have a problem with the government honoring a “social contract” between two people of the same gender if they allow it for heterosexuals. Thus, I am not in agreement with Santorum on this issue. I look upon homosexuality to be none of my business as long aswtheir lifestyle is not mandated upon my children in their public education.

Other than that, you know how I feel about government intrusion.

  18. Sorry, that last post was all over the place…my daughter was crawling all over me.. I think you get the gist of it though..

  21. Tina….LOL, it just didn’t sound right….one man saying he missed another man….I could see it if it were a family member that he said he “missed” but his personal “body man”….oh yeah!

  22. Here’s the thing with Santorum.
Like the Hermanator, I think he got into this to be on TV like Huck.
2 things are needed to beat the Usurper.
    1. 1 billion dollars or more.
    2. A National orginazation.
Can a Rick Santorum win if he had both of these ?
I remain skeptical. Maybe when Rush Libtard comes back from his vacation with the Obama’s in Hawaii he can splain/spin it.

Pat, Santorum did lose in 2006 (the momentum of the country at that time was turning negative towards Republicans) but he won two statewide Senatorial campaigns in Pennsylvania as a social conservative. No small feat for that state. Also, ” Santorum was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania’s 18th District, located in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh. He scored a significant upset, defeating a seven-term Democratic incumbent, Doug Walgren.” (from wikipedia) So I wouldn’t underestimate his appeal.

Sure, he’ll have an uphill battle against the media which will try to portray him as a bigot, amongst other things, but he is the cleanest candidate standing right now (in my opinion).

  25. “Newt Gingrich: Every Reason to Believe Obama Born in United States; Citizenship Moot Issue”

“”All I can report is the state of Hawaii has certified that he was born there,” Gingrich continued.

“We both were with a taxi driver one day who showed us the hospital. There is every reason to believe he is a citizen of the United States. The fact that he’s already a terrible president, we don’t have to go beyond that and try to find something beyond that.”

“In all fairness, this is one of those issues where it’s a fact: he is the president of the United States. Therefore, at a factual level, citizenship is a moot issue. He is the president. He’s not going to lose the presidency over that. He will lose the presidency because all of us will vote him out, which is the American way of doing it.””

VICTORIA JACKSON: MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD TAKING OVER
    AMERICA, SIX HOUR FBI MEETING”

    Excerpt:

“Former Saturday Night Live” actress Victoria Jackson, working on confidential information she as a web talk show host has special clearance to obtain, has claimed that the United States is being overtaken by radical Muslims bent on bringing the nation under Sharia law.

“I just went to a briefing in Washington DC, across the street from the Capitol, at the Longworth building at 8:30 am two days ago and it changed my life,” Jackson said last week on her web show, “Politichicks.” “For six hours, I saw pictures and names and dates and facts and Islamic law books and Korans, Surahs for six hours and they proved to me… that the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated our highest positions in government and this is serious.”

Jackson also detailed the meeting in an earlier blog post this December. In that post, she details testimony given by John Guandolo, a former FBI agent who worked on the case against former Louisiana Rep. William Jefferson. Guandolo resigned from the FBI in 2008 after he was caught trying to score a $75,000 donation for an anti-terrorism group from a wealthy Jefferson case witness with whom he was having an affair. Guandolo now gives speeches on the existential threat of Islam, claiming that Muslim groups are using political correctness and political insurgency to stop FBI and police officers from stopping their spread of Sharia law.

The actress-turned-pundit also reported testimony from Maj. Stephen Coughlin, who in 2008 was effectively fired from his post at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, because, many conservatives believe, he was a staunch anti-Islamic extremist advocate. Wired reports that his contract was not renewed after a staffer for Gordon England, then the deputy secretary of defense, raised questions about his work. Last January, Coughlin gave a maligned speech during an FBI presentation on Muslim extremism.

Claiming that it was strongly hinted that President Obama was a Muslim — his policies all favor Muslims and are against Israel, she claims to have been told — Jackson says in the video that the ultimatum pushed by terrorist groups in America is “You have to convert or be killed.”

This is the first time there has ever been a Usurper of this magnitude.

Newt is quite naive to say that “all of us will vote him out, which is the American way of doing it.” The U is a full-fledged dictator in-the-making and if he is allowed to continue, his grip will be so strong and the elections so corrupted that the “American way”, of which Newt speaks, may cease to exist.

When really evil people gain power they are not easily toppled, notwithstanding “the American way.” If the Repub nominee refuses to go after the Usurper with gloves off, get ready for……….servitude.

Tina, from everything I have read, all of the Repub candidates have had it drummed into them NOT to get into the eligibility issue. They have been taught (as was McCain) that you don’t unseat a sitting president by using personal attacks. Of course, they construe any legitimate questions about his credentials to be “personal attacks.”

As long as that asinine principle is adhered to, it is unlikely that O will be replaced in 2012, regardless of who the Repub candidate is. He will simply outfox them as he has been doing. We are dealing with pure evil here.

PLEASE SEND THESE URGENT WARNINGS TO EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!! ~

“VICTORIA JACKSON: MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD TAKING OVER AMERICA, SIX HOUR FBI MEETING”

    […]

Claiming that it was strongly hinted that President Obama was a Muslim — his policies all favor Muslims and are against Israel, she claims to have been told — Jackson says in the video that the ultimatum pushed by terrorist groups in America is “You have to convert or be killed.”

Agenda 21: The End of Private Property Has Begun… Episode 9

  38. Mr. Wells,

Can you please release my comment at 12:45 am out of moderation? Thank you so much.

    Tina responded:

“If anyone has been in politics too long it is Ron Paul, life-long politician.”

BOY do YOU have your facts wrong:

Paul was born in 1935 and didn’t get in to politics until 1976 at the age of 41.

Not only that, but he was OUT of office from 1984 until 1996. Yes he did run for President in 1988, but even if you take 1988 as when he left office until 1996, that’s 8 years out of office, which means that of the 76 years Paul has been alive, 49 of those years has been out of politics. I’m thinking that 27 out of 76 years is a far cry from “life long politician”.

    Another MISstatement from Tina.

Please Tina, quit spreading MISinformation, it really does show your ignorance.

    Paxson commented:

“However, there is nothing wrong with desiring an individual with decent moral values is extremely important to me.”

I couldn’t agree more, a strong family man means a strong leader in my opinion (although men understand that WOMEN run the household, they just let the men THINK we do)

I still don’t understand how it is supposed to be legislated.

Are we to assume that you would get a tax break if you don’t fool around on your spouse, or if you take your family on a nice vacation?

    Paxson continues:

“With regard to abortion, and having two beautiful children whom I watched via ultrasound during my wife’s pregnancy, I believe that it is a child in the womb and not a mass of cells thus it is not inconsistent in trying to protect that individuals life from undue harm.”

I have no problem with your comment, and I would agree that a child in a woman’s belly is a child.

The LAW doesn’t agree, and until it does we, as a Country, should do EVERYTHING we can to make abortion as embarrassing and humiliating to the woman who gets one, but the MAIN point is Government should NOT be paying for abortions.

IF a woman wants to obtain an abortion, there shouldn’t be Government subsidized clinics for this purpose.

But we have got to pass legislation stating life begins at inception, and if it takes a Constitutional Amendment, then so be it. Put it to a vote and let the States ratify it.

    Paxson goes on:

“With respect to gay marriage, I do not have a problem with the government honoring a “social contract” between two people of the same gender if they allow it for heterosexuals.”

Again, I agree, especially when you stated “if they allow it for heterosexuals”.

I don’t see ANY reason for married people to pay more, or less than unmarried people.

And I don’t see why people with 5 kids get a bigger deduction than those with 0 kids.

Taxes should be based on INCOME (as the law is now), and NOT whether you own a home or how many kids you have, or how much you spent on medical care in one year. These issues should be of NO concern to the Federal Government.

I’d love to have a civil debate with peopel who disagree with the candidate I support, but when MISinformation is spewed as if it is FACT, then you don’t have a “civil” debate, you have someone LYING, and I just can’t tolerate that.

    Paxson,

I forgot to add to my last comment,

“Why do you think, Cabby, Newt would say that? He gives no basis to back up his claims. He just wants us to believe him.”

Kind of like YOU wanting people to BELIEVE all of the MISinformation that you comment.

Isn’t that like the pot calling the kettle black????

Not only that, but you have been given PROOF, from the own words of the man you continue to MISinform about, but yet you continue to do it.

Maybe you should join the Newt campaign as an advisor.

    —————————————————————————–

When you say clean I assume you mean, no scandals forthcoming.

  44. Nice endorsement CW. I like him also. I also like Perry. However, I will vote for a Republican shoebox before Obama.

  45. After the 2012 election, I hope there is serious attempt to organize an official Tea Party party. I would certainly switch my registration.

If Obama wins in 2012, I’m hoping the Mayan’s are right about the December 21, 2012 ending. It would be better to die free than live as a slave.

    more: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/12/30/media_abet_obamas_aloofness_on_tough_issues_112576.html

……..Indeed, the GOP hopefuls have been thoroughly queried on a laundry list of issues ranging from immigration problems to the faltering economy, Iran’s nuclear program to trade deficits with China, the intricacies of climate change to strategies to combat terrorism, exploding government regulations to skyrocketing public debt, plus some uncomfortable questions about their pasts and their personal lives.

(Obama)…..No questions on immigration, no questions on Iran or Iraq or Afghanistan or Israel or North Korea — global trouble spots the GOP candidates have been queried about repeatedly. Moreover, he was not asked about what spending cuts he would make to reduce the deficit, nothing about Medicare and Social Security reform or his health care law, all familiar questions for the Republicans seeking his job.

Obama’s ability to avoid tough questions, skate above the fray and look presidential while his potential successors appear to be futilely flailing is not by accident. It is by White House design, abetted by a press corps that seems content with being shut out by the president and being spoon-fed the message of the day, rather than clamoring for more chances to ask him questions during this critical time.

Let us see what 13 schlockmeisters can do to 250,000,000 voters, armed with “THE TRUTH.

  50. You can place written truth in the hands of ILLITERATE people and the probable result would be continued ILLITERACY. That is in itself our gravest danger. It is entirely within reason that 13 WORDSMITHS could indeed make ILLITERATE people believe that UP is DOWN. But sooner or later even the ILLITERATE wise up. Unfortunately this happens AFTER THE FACT. TOO LATE then! That is the primary reason why we must somehow get the truth into the MINDS of 250,000,000 ILLITERATE voters before the 2012 election. Similarly you can put a rifle in the hands of a soldier, but if you don’t tell him what it is for,or show him how,and when to use it then you have shovelled manure against the tide.

  51. Good morning everyone. I’m linking another article. Here’s a tease from it:

“Other than abortion, there is no particular “issue” on which Ron Paul differs with either libertarianism or the Libertarian Party. Like them, he would legalize hard drugs and abolish age of consent laws, which violate the rights of 24-year-olds to have sex with 14-year-olds.”

“The 2010 platform of the National Libertarian Party sets forth a foreign policy difficult to distinguish from the lunacy of Michael Moore and Code Pink:”

  52. Fortunately we have organisations like WND,and people like OrlyTaitz, and CW along with the publishers of Globe tabloid helping us get the word into the minds of those who still are refusing to view the TRUTH. While I sometimes think that the mind s of such people cannot be reprogrammed I still cling to the notion that we MUST find a way. They are ROBOTS who are there to be exploited by CRIMINAL POLITICIANS. The criminal politicians have copies of the wiring diagrams, and information as to where the ON-OFF switches of the robots are located. We MUST take the fight to these people. It is IMPERATIVE that we FIND A PATHWAY into
the minds of the YUPPIE ROBOTS. These are the HARDCORE ROBOTS!

    Excerpt:
    “Believe Her or Not?”

“Martha Trowbridge’s creatively written stories about Barack being the son of white, living Jo Ann Newman and her deceased secret lover, Malcolm X, seem to be another fabrication about Obama’s history. Trowbridge, a creative writer herself, has spun another familial background for Obama. Scant, seldom cited documentation gives no more credence to the credibility of her stories than the one already told by Bill Ayers in Obama’s “autobiography,” Dreams of My Father.

    […]
In the spirit of Christmas, I am asking you, America, to consider that “Barack Obama”, for all his great accomplishments, has greatly suffered; and in his suffering, chose paths he now regrets.
I truly believe that if he could do it all over again, he wouldn’t do it.

Great accomplishments, Martha? Oh do name them! He has suffered? Show us the suffering! Does he suffer while on the golf course or when he is occupying the White House? Is his silent suffering done as he does the bidding of his puppet masters, instills class warfare across our nation, blames whomever or whatever for his failures, craves the power of a dictator, praises Islam but not Christianity? His background and the baggage he carries is something for which we should feel sympathy? Exactly which background are we to feel empathy?”

“Barack Obama’s constitutional qualifications for the presidency have never been investigated by any law-enforcement agency.

    Until now.

But that investigation by Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s “Cold Case Posse” could easily be derailed for lack of financial support coupled with attacks being launched against his office by Obama’s Justice Department.

That’s why it is imperative for every American who questions the very legality of Obama’s reign and his efforts at re-election to support Arpaio’s probe in a tangible way – no matter how small.

Let me tell you why I think it’s important and why I am personally making a donation to this cause.

On the very face of it, Obama is not eligible to be president. Every action he has taken under the color of authority as president should be repealed, negated and voided. If we take him at his word and accept at face value the evidence he has provided about his birth, he is simply not a “natural born citizen,” as documented in Jerome Corsi’s authoritative and best-selling book, “Where’s the Birth Certificate?” The man he claims as his father was a Kenyan national visiting student who would have conferred foreign citizenship upon his son. The very purpose and intent of the “natural born citizen” clause of the Constitution’s requirements for the presidency was to avoid any such perceptions of divided loyalty.”

Yet, the branch of government arguably most responsible for the “fundamental transformation of America” is neither the executive nor legislative. As the January issue of WND’s monthly Whistleblower magazine dramatically shows, the most arrogant, unaccountable and transformational branch of government today is the judiciary, which, virtually unshackled from the Constitution, has declared itself the supreme branch of government.”

    Joseph Farah
    Between The Lines
    WorldNetDaily Exclusive Commentary
    December 27, 2011
    © 2011

    Excerpt:

“You wouldn’t know it as an avid consumer of the controlled national press, but there is a legal case under way that will determine whether the First Amendment guarantees of freedom of speech and freedom of the press will continue to mean what they have meant for the first 223 years of American history.

It’s been going on for two years.

I’m talking about a lawsuit by the Hamas-front group called the Council on American-Islamic Relations against two private American citizens who conducted an ACORN-style sting operation against the Muslim Brotherhood-spawned CAIR – an operation that formed the basis for the explosive book, “Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America.”

    […]

Because the Gaubatzes did not have the money to fight the charges, and because David Gaubatz was the co-author of WND Books’ “Muslim Mafia,” WND agreed to pay for the defense.

It continues to be a huge burden – about $600,000 in court costs and attorney charges so far – and the trial has not even begun!

The case is unfolding without any interest from the controlled national press, which continues to view CAIR as “a Muslim civil rights organization,” one they call upon regularly for interviews and treat with the respect and dignity of a trusted news source.

    The stakes are high, too.

The real purpose of this case is to discredit the courageous work represented in “Muslim Mafia” – the definitive book exposing CAIR’s links to terrorism, to foreign financing, the Hamas, to Saudi Arabia and to the Muslim Brotherhood agenda we see unfolding around the world.”

God keep us from the stallers who see no benefit in any approach that begins to save lives. Status quo of the do nothings while watching the numbers escalate and the reasons broaden is soooo much better.

  62. Observer…..

Don’t blame God for all the troubles that MAN has created…….

God isn’t the problem….ignorant men are.

  63. As I repeat myself,

Perhaps the first most important thing to understand, is that no GOP candidate currently running (nor any independent) will win against Obama in 2012 without Obama himself being fully brought to light. Let that sink in!

It matters not if Ron Paul is a libertarian and lacks American security interests with rudimentary comprehension of foreign affairs; It matters not if Mitt Romney is a complete utter flip flopper which mirrors Obama and a liberal Socialist in disguise on domestic policies; It matters not if Newt Gingrich bloats his past history whilst failing as a historian of constitutional matters the American people; It matters not if others of lesser capability lack a snowball chance in hell of ever becoming a lead candidate in future debates of which the American voting citizen will ever get a whisper amongst their potential. It simply matters not and benefits nothing to righting the sinking ship so embattled.

While all the candidates – their staff and elected officials have the ability to recognize how to defend the Free Republic Society of America and freely capably of implementing such duties obligated to them by oath of office and constitutional authority, granted by our (we the people) contract, they fail. Such cowardliness is simply incomprehensible to me, for any elected person sworn to protect our Great Nation – America.

What would our founding fathers have done in the face of any great danger and threat? Be arrested? Thrown in prison? Fight a greater nation (Britain) far out-numbered? Die? What do our current politicians do in comparison? Nothing! For fear of being humiliated in the media and not re-elected. How pathetic. Am I to vote for such a pathetic parasite; any of them? No, as it takes a coward to vote for a coward, and by God I am no Coward! I will not go along with AWOL and TREASON. Otherwise, I too am derelict in my duties as an American Citizen.

Conceivably, there are or may be near future events that begin to unravel the Karl Rove strategies of “Policies Only” strategic moments. Possibly the outcome of the Arizona Sheriff Joe’s February investigations which I am confident will land on every single Congressional members desk. What they do with it after that is anyone’s guess.

Just saying the obvious, in part, and for now.

    Observer,

government is even crueler, as in order to assist anyone, it must first do an evil and overt act; that is it must first take what does not belong to it from another whom earn it to give it away. also known as slavery.

I doubt when Moses presented the 10 commandments and one of them being “thou shalt not steal”, he meant is was ok so long as you were the recipient of stolen goods!

Charity is worthy and a very noble act. Theft, legalized or not, is despicable and evil in any form.

    Just saying the obvious.

  66. William, your thoughts are well-taken and valid. However, I do not come to the same conclusion that none should be elected because they don’t put themselves on the line with respect to the eligibility issue.

In life we have to settle things according to each person’s conviction. Some when stricken with terminal cancer will absolutely refuse any treatment, because they feel within their hearts that in reality their case is hopeless and they don’t want to suffer further; while others fight on grasping at any offers of treatment available, even though they may lose the battle in the end. With them there is always that hope that a new, life-saving treatment will emerge.

At this point I am not going to refuse to vote for any Repub candidate because (s)he will not openly expose Obama. The nation is desperately ill and we are facing death of our liberties at the hands of a would-be dictator. Even the worst Repub in office would slow down the rate of acceleration of the “disease”.

I would want to take that chance rather than state now that my patriotism will not allow me to be tainted with what some would call “compromise.” It is a personal matter that has to be decided individually according to one’s convictions. Those are my thoughts.

  67. Cabby,

I dearly and with my whole heart appreciate, respect and love ya.

You are correct. Every individual must decide according to their own convictions on what to do. You are also correct that that includes knowing a Republican (worst or best) would slow down the rate of the demise of our Country. If I may be so bold to interpret your sentence as such.

I don’t get it Cabby, I really don’t and it saddens me.

Leadership is much more than picking the lessor of two evils. Current Politicians are both bent on the same destruction of America, just one approaches its a bit slower than the other, and that is somehow an improvement.

Why doesn’t someone just ask me the simple question: William, would you like Communist Russia to fully implement itself into America within 10 years, or would you like us to implement over a period of 40 years?

Are those my only two choices? The slower makes me an American Patriot, and the other makes it unthinkable to quickly implement the same? I don’t understand.

It is quite possible I am alone in this analysis. Neither are acceptable to me.

  69. Gordo,

They know, all of them do. I would not be surprised if its not a family joke with all the candidates families. Yet they fail as leaders to truly bring what is know (or the lack thereof) to light, simply as fear of being ridiculed.

Damn good thing these current “Leaders” weren’t in charge of this Country when leadership actually meant something. God knows the possible media criticism they would have faced when truly challenged.

  70. Good for Matt Romney. He got the issue out there again. The Dems want Romney to release his records. He should release them when Obama releases his college application, medical records and grades. My two cents.

  71. “George Romney ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 1968. His parents — Gaskell Romney (1871-1955) and Anna Amelia Pratt (1876-1926) — were born in Utah territory. They emigrated to Mexico around 1885, and remained in Mexico until 1912, when the Mexican Revolution compelled their return to the United States.
Gaskell and Anna were married in Mexico in 1895. Their son, George Romney, was born in Mexico on July 8, 1907, and acquired Mexican citizenship at birth.

Since Gaskell was born in the United States and presumably retained U.S. citizenship while in Mexico, his Mexican-born son, George Romney, “appears probably” to be a U.S. citizen. Nevertheless, because George was born in a foreign country and acquired foreign citizenship (in addition to U.S. citizenship) at birth, his natural born citizen status is questionable at best.

Mitt Romney is a candidate for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 12, 1947. His mother, Lenore Romney, was born in Utah in 1908 and thus acquired U.S. citizenship at birth. Mitt’s father, George Romney, was probably a U.S. citizen at the time of Mitt’s birth, but we can’t say for sure.

If Gaskell Romney had lost his U.S. citizenship prior to 1907, his Mexican-born son, George Romney, would not have acquired U.S. citizenship at birth, in which case George’s US citizenship would be in doubt. George was probably a US citizen and therefore his son, Mitt Romney, is probably a natural born citizen. But at the time of this writing, there seems to be insufficient documentary evidence in the public domain to establish Mitt’s “natural born citizen” status conclusively.”

  72. Gordo,

You do know why many of the Mormon’s fled the Utah region into the Mexico Country during that time?

    ———————————
Somehow I don’t think you got the meaning or the purpose in my using that generalization that people often toss out there. I was comparing such folks to those who can so easily influence others by making generalized judgments of others by taking choice misinformation and trying to prove an individual or ideological point. They would be no different than those who see no lessons to be learned in human suffering and human accountability and the comprehensive effect on all humanity and wind up blaming God instead. Sometimes people have to begin where they are and do as much as they can to stop evil even if it doesn’t solve the huge problem all at once. And I was relating that to what Santorum has done when others
refuse to see the context in which he was trying to work even when those attempts didn’t solve everything all at once.

    Tina,

You NEVER cease to amaze me.

You use the same tactics as the Obama team, that being repeating LIES until they are believed to be the truth.

I see that instead of actually addressing the ISSUES, you continue to link vile articles MEANT to scare the public.

Well, Tina, YOU FAIL. All you have to do is read the COMMENTS under your article, and look at the polls for Paul (although I don’t really watch polls, because if you didn’t know this Tina, the polls are used in the indoctrination process), they have stayed consistant even with the LIES that you seem to agree with that are CONTINUALLY spewed, and with those “in the know” (Hannity, Limbaugh, Gingrich, O’Reilly and on and on), spouting scare tactic remarks about Paul.

I will ask you again PRO-war Tina, have you asked your military family members if they agree with how these wars are being conducted?

I would suspect not, I suspect you simply continue to read articles from those who want nothing more than us to continue and expand these attempts at nation building, and need no more reason to support these never ending wars.

I have proven time and again that you are simply WRONG on many of the things you comment, using the WORDS of Paul, not some “opinion” of people who have an agenda of keeping the United States on it’s current destructive path.

And you consider yourself a “christian”? You should be ashamed, and if you have children, I certainly feel sorry for them because your “values” certainly aren’t those of a “christian”.

This is just more “in-your-face” anti americanism from this administration. At this point, our goal should be to remove this dreadful person from the highest office in the land. He is a disgrace and discredits the integrity of his position. I don’t care who gets the nomination as long as we can take the WH and the Senate.

  79. Robert Steele Slams Rick Santorum Supports Ron Paul

Uploaded by RobertDavidSteele on Dec 30, 2011

Robert Steele takes issue with Senator Santorum’s doltish comment that Ron Paul is in the Dennis Kucinich wing of the party. Senator Santorum is not stupid, therefore he is dishonest. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate for the Republican nomination who is telling the truth on national security, and Robert Steele is the only candidate running for President who offers America Electoral Reform, a Coalition Cabinet, a Balanced Budget, and True Cost Economics. Killer close: America needs people that tell the truth, and Senator Santorum, you’re not one of them.

    Hey All,

One last thing, and I’m off for my Friday night “date” (jealous Tina???)

I guess what I’d like to opine is that we really have two choices as far as the Republican nomination goes.

Let me try it this way:

Let’s say you go to the doctor and he tells you that you have two choices, that they can treat your disease with medicine and it will be “slowed” in 10 years with little side effects, or you could have the disease cut out and have a 5 year recovery process.

It just seems to me that a large number of people want to go the 10 year route, and in my opinion after the 10 years you still have the disease.

If you go the “cut out” option, it hurts more, but in the END you are CURED.

    I want to get CURED.

  82. great article

Citizen, you appear to be unhappy with the choices our political system offers you. We do not understand this. Bill Clinton vs. Bob Dole, Barack Obama vs. John McCain — what historic contests these were, what great men these are, whose profound reflections on the human condition will be remembered down the ages.

Your wise public servants have your best interests at heart. What a privilege, citizen, for you to choose between them. Now it is true, to be sure, that they pursue essentially the same foreign policy, the same monetary policy, the same policy on drugs, the same policy on civil liberties, and so on, but they’re really, really super different. Super, super different. They are safely different, you might say.

William, I just read your post and want to tell you how appreciative I am of your warm, sincere response. Please understand that the feeling is mutual, Friend, and your thoughts are always valued.

You say, “Why doesn’t someone just ask me the simple question: William, would you like Communist Russia to fully implement itself into America within 10 years, or would you like us to implement over a period of 40 years?” I fully get your point but beg to differ on your conclusion.

First of all, I have read much about Communism and what it does to a country, as you probably have read, too. After the Communists gain control, it’s power is absolute, and all who are useless to society are ultimately either outright killed or starved to death. There is no way to stop the carnage or reverse the dictatorship of the rulers.

Anything which can postpone the “10 years” you use as an illustration is good, no matter how one looks at it. Because during that time there is always hope that the masses can be better informed and the young educated as to America’s foundation and greatness. There is always hope that some divine intervention can postpone indefinitely what appears to be the inevitable.

It is unfortunate that we cannot ask the North Koreans, for example, as to whether they would have liked to have had another twenty or thirty years before the Communist dictatorship became irreversible. How about Cambodia with the massacres by Pol Pot? Any of them would have been glad to have even five more years of life before Pol Pot’s genocide in which 25% of the country’s population were brutally killed.

Closer to home – there’s Fidel Castro’s Cuba. What about the many who risked their lives to escape the ruthlessness and murder of that regime? With the confiscation of weapons, I bet that they would have loved to have had a few more years of comparative freedom, if nothing else, to plan their escape or what to do about close family.

I see the worst case scenario, William, and, accordingly, the prolongation of life becomes exceedingly invaluable. (To me personally it doesn’t matter, because I would be killed anyway as a useless eater, and Heaven is my real home regardless.) I am thinking of other younger folks and what they may face.

    *********************************************
What assurance do you have that you will be “cured” in the five-year period? Do you have a crystal ball? No one does.

If you have read my response to William (right above), you will see that I see the next few years under the present regime as much more dangerous – yes – MORTAL – than, perhaps, you do.

Have you read much from the testimonies of those who have survived a brutal communistic rule? When weapons are seized, any attempts at revolution are squelched, and the systemic cleansing of the population begins. (cleansing means murder – annihilation). That is why we need to buy time while we still have the opportunity. It could already be too late.

Also, lest I concentrate too much on the threat of Communism, we must not ignore the imminent threat of radical Islam which intends to ultimately control the world. They also KILL those who resist them.

  89. “Romney to Trump: Obama Doesn’t Need a Birth Certificate”

    Mr Romney,
May I quote the SCOTUS in Minor vs. Happersett 88 162 (1874)
“The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that.:
At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also.”

Two citizen parents with child born on soil under the Jurisdiction of said Country= NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.

Romney was Natural Born because his father had dual citizenship (probably) and mother was citizen and he was born on native soil. Romney’s father was NOT ELIGIBLE, and no amount of paid off personal lawyers will change that fact.

I will not vote for you in the primary if you cannot accept the reality of the Constitutional requirements for POTUS.

    Pete

  93. Happy New Year, friends (and “frienemies”)… A highschool teacher of mine introduced me to this poem many years ago. As I was reflecting up 2011 and my goals for 2012, I thought about this poem and read it again. It seems to apply to the predicament that we are all facing in our world today and how we can keep ourselves sane in this insane world.

    Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.

    Strive to be happy.

    — Max Ehrmann, 1927

  96. Republican Liberty Caucus Endorses Ron Paul for President !

“The Republican Liberty Caucus national board is proud to endorse Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) for the Republican presidential nomination. In a field of candidates who show little genuine commitment to individual liberty or reducing the size of government, Rep. Paul stands out as a consistent champion of the values of the Republican Liberty Caucus; limited government, personal liberty and free enterprise.

“Ron Paul has been the one Congressman willing to consistently stand up against abuses of government power and for protecting the rights of citizens,” said RLC National Chairman Dave Nalle. “He has led opposition to the War on Drugs, REAL ID and the PATRIOT Act. Just in the past year he has joined us in fighting against unconstitutional military detention of civilians, government tracking of workers through e-verify and a federal takeover of the internet. These are issues which grassroots Republicans are concerned about, but the party establishment is not listening. Ron Paul is the only candidate who really speaks for the grassroots of the Republican Party.”

  98. “SO MANY OUTRAGES, SO LITTLE TIME”

    By Quin Hillyer
    The American Spectator
    December 30, 2011 @ 6:09AM

    “Stories I under-covered in 2011.”

    Excerpt:

“It’s a sad commentary on the Obama administration both that the Republican effort to dethrone him seems so desperately important that it dominated (my) column-writing in the year before election year and that the administration flouts laws and constitutional traditions in so many ways that it’s almost impossible to blow the whistle on them all. That said, I have been seriously amiss in writing too little in 2011 on the following stories, some of which I covered at length in previous years — and all of which I enthusiastically invite other reporters and columnists to write about.”

    […]

“Judicial Wars: Usually one of my favorite topics, this has slipped away from me this year — partly because Republican senators are so frustratingly weak-kneed about the whole subject. Ed Whelan has some statistics here. Sadly, only a smattering of GOP senators would even support their own Judiciary Committee Ranking Member, Chuck Grassley of Iowa, in opposing the nomination of Susan Owens Hickey to a federal district court, and they wouldn’t do even a temporary filibuster against the manifestly ill-qualified Alison Nathan.”

Blocking Obamite Efforts to Nationalize Education Policy: U.S. Rep. Scott Garrett has introduced the LEARN Act to let states opt out of federal micromanagement, and it appears to be a great idea. As Gary Palmer of the Alabama Policy Institute points out (and as U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida has been noting as well), the Obama administration is improperly using the “waiver” process to force their own policy choices on the states.

Obamite Flouting of Clear Legislative Language: U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf complains that White House science czar and compulsory abortion advocate John Holdren is violating the law in using federal appropriations for unapproved purposes (in this case, certain bilateral activities with China). Likewise, the Washington Times’ Emily Miller catches the White House blowing off other Appropriations restrictions, thus further indicating that he is dangerously authoritarian in outlook.

    […]

“Obamite War Against Catholics and Other Traditionalist People of Faith: The Catholic Advocate explains in this short online video, and writes in another forum the following:

Think about some of the policies that have taken root since Obama entered the White House:

    • No longer defending the Defense of Marriage Act;
    • Forcing private insurers to provide contraception like the morning after pill to women at no charge;
    • Reversing the ban on federal dollars from funding stem cell research;
    • Taking away health care providers’ rights of conscience.

Other than the controversial spending and tax bills, these policies are the highlights of what the Obama administration has accomplished. This administration is leading America to a place where religious liberties do not exist, and if we’re not vigilant, they’ll try to take God away next. Are you comfortable with this?”

Finally, in one area where the administration’s sins are in the background (the administration ought to use diplomatic pressure to help out, but won’t), the manifestly dishonest Ecuadoran environmental case against U.S.-based Chevron Corp. continues apace despite all sorts of evidence of skullduggery that completely belie the idea that Chevron is guilty of much of anything. The whole case was rigged from the beginning.

Aside from all that, a few notes about what has been good about 2011…. To wit: A) The old-fashioned campaign work ethic of Rick Santorum. B) The continuing efforts of J. Christian Adams, Hans von Spakovsky and others to highlight and fight against the Obamite efforts to enable widespread vote fraud.

    C) The conservative blogging of Jennifer Rubin in hostile territory at the Washington Post. D) The efforts of conservative journalists at all four of the “traditional” conservative periodicals — The American Spectator, National Review, the Weekly Standard, and Human Events — to try to uphold Reaganite conservative thought and action in an age of American Idol mentalities and text-message attention spans. E) The legislative and political leadership of Rep. Paul Ryan, Sen. Jeff Sessions, Sen. Chuck Grassley, and Rep. Frank Wolf on issues where they draw heavy liberal fire but still won’t back down.

    F) The leadership at the state level of governors such as Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Scott Walker of Wisconsin, and John Kasich of Ohio (along with the recently retired and underappreciated Bob Riley of Alabama), who show that conservative governance really can work. G) The folks at the Heritage Foundation, still the greatest idea bank for the conservative movement, and especially the brilliant team at its Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, who are always superbly responsive and well informed. I) My kind and eminently agreeable friend Victor Schwartz, who always knows what’s going on behind the scenes in the world of lawyers.

    J) Fellow conservative bloggers who labor for the cause. […]

Here’s wishing everybody a wonderful 2012 — and, if I may say so, a president-elect, by this time next year, who didn’t grow up in Hawaii or Indonesia.”

  99. Interested Bystander

    Hey All,

I was thinking last night, and I actually discussed this with the wife last night and seeing how I asked the question many days ago, and repeated it a couple days ago, here’s the ONLY answer I have gotten on the issue of what do we do to keep Iran from getting a nuke which was from Cabby, who answered this way on another thread:

“In answer to the above, I don’t see a viable answer coming from Paul on the above either, but I do not fault him for it; because that is a theoretical question that no one in their right mind can adequately answer NOW.”

Why is the answer that Paul is giving not “viable”, I ask myself?

The ONLY logical answer I can come up with is because those in the media, and those in Government SAY it isn’t viable.

THAT’s the problem, in my opinion.

We are beng INDOCTRINATED in to believing the ONLY viable answer is going to war with Iran.

Iran is a Country smaller than Alaska, and I believe that we would have LITTLE problem defeating them, I don’t care how big their military is. If it’s a one million man military, they can’t run too far if the size of the Country is smaller than Alaska.

The media continually ask the candidates what should be done about Iran, and the ONLY one I hear saying something other than what the media wants us to hear is vilified DAILY in the media.

I would suspect that IF the media didn’t have it’s mind set on going to war with Iran, and was reporting that the sanctions that is in effect against Iran did nothing but hurt it’s PEOPLE (not the Government), and that Iran was spouting it’s rhetoric simply to get attention, the beliefs of the citizens of this Country would be different.

I believe we are being INDOCTRINATED in to believing that war is the only solution in the Iran issue.

Don’t people get it? Why in the heck would the media (and PRO-war people like Tina, Pat, Mitt, Newt, Santorum and Bachman) want us to go to war with Iran?

To borrow a phrase from Guns and Roses (yes Tina, I also listen to Rock and Roll, I’m sure you have a problem with THAT also):

“I don’t need your Iran war
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor
    Your power hungry sellin’ soldiers
    In a human grocery store
    Ain’t that fresh
I don’t need your Iran war”

In other words, it is MY opinion that the ONLY reason we are being indoctrinated in to believing war with Iran is the ONLY answer, is to coddle to the elite.

Here’s the answer in my opinion:

Become SELF SUFFICIENT, so we don’t NEED the Strait of Hormuz.

Why the heck isn’t THAT a viable answer. IF we would have begun drilling on Obama’s first day in office, we would be right about NOW ready to start gaining the benefits of those efforts, and Iran wouldn’t be as important a “player” as they see themselves.

We have 300 years of oil and natural gas reserves in the United States, but yet the powers that be want us DEPENDENT on middle east oil.

It really is sad that we have become MIND NUMBED ROBOTS who spout the daily indoctrinated message that Iran is a threat, and the military option is the ONLY option, when in my opinion the daily message should be ___ days until we become energy self suffcient.

Canada wants to DOUBLE the supply of oil to the United States through a pipeline that it wants to build through the mid section of our Country, but yet OUR Government WON’T allow it because of environmental concerns, even though I can’t remember ONE incident being reported about the excisting pipeline having ANY major environmental issues.

Besides, IF Iran has the capabilites to produce a nuke, it’s not like they can build a plant to manufacture them. They are VERY hard to produce, and then you have to have a VEHICLE to get the nuke to it’s target, and as North Korea has demonstrated in nearly EVERY attempt to test that kind of “vehicle”, it has been a failure.

It’s not like they gain the ability to build a nuke, and the next day they are lobbing nukes all over the world as the media wants us to believe.

Maybe I’m being nieve, and Iran is more of a threat, but I still would argue that IF we were self sufficient, Iran’s importance would be minimal, and let the REST OF THE WORLD deal with Iran if they need middle east oil.

Just my two cents on the Iran issue.

I believe I could argue pretty much the same argument for almost every problem we have today.

That being that we are being INDOCTRINATED to believe that we can NOT be self sufficient, be it on medical issues, education issues, environmental issues, social security issues and on and on.

You NEED the Government is the daily message we hear, and the ONLY candidate I hear saying ANYTHING different is vilified because he isn’t “playing along” with that message.

You can’t have a FREE society when half of society is DEPENDENT on the Government.

And that’s what we have NOW.

I’m sorry guys and gals, I simply can NOT go along with what the media is selling.

Thanks for releasing it CW, and thanks for giving me a place to express my OPINIONS.

Happy New Year to you and here’s hoping that 2012 allows the lid to be blown off of the eligibility issue.

You have a GREAT blog, and GREAT commenters here at CW.

    Cabby asked:

“What assurance do you have that you will be “cured” in the five-year period? Do you have a crystal ball? No one does.”

The five year comment was just a number.

But what I CAN state with CERTAINTY is that the solutions being offered by the “big four” (Perry, Romney, Santorum and Gingrich) candidates will NOT work.

    My evidence you ask?

    HISTORY

We have an almost 70 year “test” that has been going on, and the ONLY solution we get from the candidates is to make it BIGGER.

Oh they SAY they will cut the size of government, or they propose cuts in spending, but they sure don’t seem to EVER come to fruition.

But the truth is, I believe in the people of this Country. I believe that we are willing to make the SACRIFICES (and I understand that they will be severe but hopefully short lived) it takes to turn this Country around.

It is MY wish that MY generation would be the generation to STOP the intrusive and restrictive government that has been created over the last 100 years, and makes the United States a PROSPEROUS Country once again.

It is MY wish that this would start in 2012 with a man from the PREVIOUS generation, who lived THROUGH many of the intrusive and restrictive regulations imposed on the citizens of the United States, and understands that although born of good intentions, they are anything but good.

Am I assured that he can get his policies implemented? Absolutely NOT, but IF this man is elected, he will most certainly have a “soap box” to educate us on just HOW intrusive and restrictive the Government has become, offer legislation to fight those intrusions and restrictions and shine the “light” on the origin of the problems, that being the CONGRESS, and then that evolves in to the people becoming MORE aware of the candidates and vote for those who will implement his agenda.

And honestly, not only on a National level, but also on the local level.

When we are indoctrinated daily with rhetoric designed to keep us in this intrusive and restrictive “mode”, I do realize that it will be an UPHILL battle.

But as I commented yesterday, there ARE still people out here who understand that UP is UP, it should be the goal of MY generation to get those who believe UP is DOWN to understand that it is ALL a ruse to keep us “caged”.

Haven’t we learned yet that the more CONTROL of our everyday lives that we surrender to the Government the less FREE we are?

We aren’t FREE, and we will NEVER be free as long as we adhere to the indoctrinated messages we get every day that what the Government wants to do is “good”.

My preference would be an economic squeeze with some teeth, unlike the failed Clinton/Bush sanctions on Iraq and NK.

The fact is the majority of the Muslim world hates Christians and Jews and wants to see them wiped out. The Muslim Brotherhood was modeled after the Nazi Party and are one in the same. So we can either stick our head in the sand and wait for a terroist nuke attack or neutralize these crazies.

Say what you mean and mean what you say…..but put it in plain text in order that all can understand….we are not mind readers on here.

William your comments were well taken.

    ————————————
I did so in my efforts to twice correct your misunderstanding. If you yourself cannot accept a correction in truth you might think twice before any knee jerk reaction to only a portion of a comment without taking the whole as its context. If I’m so difficult to understand (this/yours being the first to “get it wrong”) then I would further just advise skipping my comments in your reading through. That might benefit not only yourself but also myself and others who read your misinterpretations of my intentions. Comments do not have to be styled to some individual’s own lack of personal understanding limits nor their distaste for having those misunderstandings corrected. If these are due, in your estimation, as limitations on my part just, as I advised, skip reading me instead of trying to control the content of someone else’s blog.

“Ron Paul may be delusional, but he is a consistent. Neither mass murder, terrorism, the advance of militant Islam, nor nuclear weapons in the hands of fanatical regimes will shake a libertarian’s faith in his dogma: We have no foreign enemies. If certain states want to kill us, it’s our fault. Nothing is worth fighting for — unless it’s abolishing the Federal Reserve System”

    Pat,

FINALLY a response that actually gives some kind of answer.

But hasn’t Iran been under sanctions for some time now?

    I’d like to respond:

    “Mitt said
“The greatest threat that Israel faces and frankly the greatest threat the world faces is a nuclear Iran,” he said. “One of the people running for president thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a nuclear weapon. I don’t. I don’t trust the ayatollahs. I don’t trust Ahmadinejad. I don’t trust those who backed Hamas and Hezbollah. I’m concerned that fissile material ultimately will find its way into the hands of terrorists and ultimately create mayhem in the world.”

Ok, so he “believes” these things, I do NOT see any SOLUTIONS, or how he will STOP Iran from gaining nuclear abilities.

    I’m taking it that these are YOUR “solutions”, and IF they are Romney’s then the response would be the same;

    Pat comments:

“My preference would be an economic squeeze with some teeth, unlike the failed Clinton/Bush sanctions on Iraq and NK.”

But you don’t give WHAT sanctions? Do you blockade their ports? Do you “freeze” their assests in banks? I’m not sure what “economic squeeze” you mean.

And wouldn’t that just back them in a corner? Have you ever backed an animal in a corner? They come out fighting, they don’t cringe. Wouldn’t they be validated in retaliating against those economic sanctions?

    Pat continues:

“The fact is the majority of the Muslim world hates Christians and Jews and wants to see them wiped out. The Muslim Brotherhood was modeled after the Nazi Party and are one in the same. So we can either stick our head in the sand and wait for a terroist nuke attack or neutralize these crazies.”

By “neutralize” I’m assuming you mean by that economic squeeze you proposed in the last paragraph?

And Pat, I don’t like the Muslim Brotherhood any more than the next person, but simply because we don’t like someone doesn’t give us carte blanch to go to war with them. They have to do SOMETHING against a NATIONAL INTEREST.

    Pat goes on:

“Today’s Paulbot’s ( closet D-Rats) remind me of the Isolationalists before WW1 and WW2. Always wanting to back down in the face of evil.”

What do YOU know about the “Isolationalists before WW1 and WW2”?

And Pat, I’d be the LAST man to “back down in the face of evil”, but I sure as heck don’t want to be the one to punch the face of evil in the stomach to provoke him either.

    Pat comments:

    “More recent

Should the US have gone into Iraq? In hindsite, No”

    And I absolutely agree.

IF we would have went in, ousted Sadam and got out, maybe Paul’s and my answer would be different.

    And Pat continues:

“Should the US have gone into Afghanistan? Yes, but we stayed to long”

Absolutely agree with this. Again, you go in with overwhelming force until you obtain your objective (either capturing or killing bin Laden) and then you GET OUT.

Paul has been CONSISTANT in his policy.

    Pat asks:

“why are we even still there?”

An excellent question, do we have an answer?

    Pat asks another question:

“Why is noone asking Obama this?”

    ANOTHER excellent question.

Why isn’t the media asking Obama any number of LEGITIMATE questions?

You are right,it is a good article, especially if you read the COMMENTS.

It’s ironic that the paragraph you copied is so full of MIStruths, that it only bolsters MY opinion that your goal is to MISinform people on Paul’s stance on foriegn policy.

What the author writes is a LIE, and I have proven it time and again in Paul’s own words AND his votes.

    Good Article!
Pat, that was a very informative article about Libertarianism and Paul’s adherence to its belief system. Thanks for posting!!

You say, “What the author writes is a LIE, and I have proven it time and again in Paul’s own words AND his votes.”
    **************************************
IB, that statement is a bit rash and is also quite revealing. The author of that article is mostly exposing exactly the way the Libertarian Party believes and acts.

You would run into a real debate with Paul if you ever had the opportunity to confront him and question if his views differ from that of the Libertarian Party. The author WAS at one time a member of the L. Party and saw the light after he read, among other things, Whittaker Chambers’ book, “Witness.” Have you ever read it?

I think the real discussion here should move away from Ron Paul the candidate, and focus on the belief system, Libertarianism, that he espouses. After all, in 1988 he ran as the presidential candidate for the National Libertarian Party. It is possible to get so enamored with a person that we overlook the fundamentals.

One of the noteworthy quotes from the article (not about Paul, per se):

“During the Cold War, economist Murray Rothbard (one of the foremost libertarian theorists) once observed that if we lost the rest of the world and the Soviets invaded America, we could always take to the hills and launch a guerrilla war, a la “Red Dawn.” Libertarians have never been hampered by reality.”

I am only opposed to Ron Paul as president because he is firmly entrenched in Libertarianism, and knowing what I have learned and observed about the fundamentals of that doctrine, I am not one of them.
    End of story. Period.

  115. Interested Bystander

    Cabby,

It is NOT Paul’s stance that:

    “We have no foreign enemies.”

It is simply a LIE, no ands, if or buts about it.

    The author continues:

“If certain states want to kill us, it’s our fault.”

Another LIE, we wasn’t attacked by ANY “state” as the author would have us believe, we were attacked by an “ideal”.

    The author concludes:

“Nothing is worth fighting for — unless it’s abolishing the Federal Reserve System”

Just look at Paul’s voting record.

He voted FOR the “actions” taken in Afghanistan, so just on that FACT alone, what the author writes is a LIE.

Rash or not, the TRUTH is the OPPOSITE of what the author writes.

and your last paragraph is quite interesting:

“I am only opposed to Ron Paul as president because he is firmly entrenched in Libertarianism, and knowing what I have learned and observed about the fundamentals of that doctrine, I am not one of them.”

It’s intersting because Ronald Reagan called Libertarianism the basis of the Republican Party, or something to that effect (the quote was in the article I linked yesterday or this morning on the other thread)

And if I may, I agree that the author admits to being an “ex” libertarian. The worst critics of ANYTHING are “ex”es of that issue.

My father in law was a smoker, and he expected to be able to smoke wherever he went. If he couldn’t smoke, he wouldn’t go. But then he quit, and he became the BIGGEST hypocrite of all times, in my opinion.

  116. Dear CW,
I am sorry that you have chosen to endorse a candidate that has chosen to ignore the most important issue facing America today: Do “We the People” have a Constitutional Republic or don’t we? If we do, then it is of the utmost importance that our representatives (including Santorum) uphold the law of the land and ensure that our elections are free and honest. There are many questions about the person occupying the White House that have gone unanswered and not a single representative (that I know of) has raised his/her voice to ask for an investigation. In my opinion any person who has raised his/her voice with regard to the usurpation of the Oval Office should be endorsing Laurie Roth who is at least bringing the truth to the race. Yes she cannot win, but she can (if supported) show that there is much discontent in the country regarding the identity of the man who is called “President” by many and who acceded to the office under questionable means. Those who support the Constitution and our freedom have this ONE chance to let their voices be heard. Stand up and speak for the Constitution – Endorse Laurie Roth.
