Barack Obama and Robert Bauer are once again at odds with accepted legal norms in this country.

“Jeh C. Johnson, the Pentagon general counsel, and Caroline D. Krass, the acting head of the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, had told the White House that they believed that the United States military’s activities in the NATO-led air war amounted to “hostilities.” Under the War Powers Resolution, that would have required Mr. Obama to terminate or scale back the mission after May 20.
But Mr. Obama decided instead to adopt the legal analysis of several other senior members of his legal team — including the White House counsel, Robert Bauer, and the State Department legal adviser, Harold H. Koh — who argued that the United States military’s activities fell short of “hostilities.” Under that view, Mr. Obama needed no permission from Congress to continue the mission unchanged.
Presidents have the legal authority to override the legal conclusions of the Office of Legal Counsel and to act in a manner that is contrary to its advice, but it is extraordinarily rare for that to happen. Under normal circumstances, the office’s interpretation of the law is legally binding on the executive branch.”
““It should come as no surprise that there would be some disagreements, even within an administration, regarding the application of a statute that is nearly 40 years old to a unique and evolving conflict,” Mr. Schultz said. “Those disagreements are ordinary and healthy.”
Still, the disclosure that key figures on the administration’s legal team disagreed with Mr. Obama’s legal view could fuel restiveness in Congress, where lawmakers from both parties this week strongly criticized the White House’s contention that the president could continue the Libya campaign without their authorization because the campaign was not “hostilities.”
The White House unveiled its interpretation of the War Powers Resolution in a package about Libya it sent to Congress late Wednesday. On Thursday, the House speaker, John A. Boehner, Republican of Ohio, demanded to know whether the Office of Legal Counsel had agreed.
“The administration gave its opinion on the War Powers Resolution, but it didn’t answer the questions in my letter as to whether the Office of Legal Counsel agrees with them,” he said. “The White House says there are no hostilities taking place. Yet we’ve got drone attacks under way. We’re spending $10 million a day. We’re part of an effort to drop bombs on Qaddafi’s compounds. It just doesn’t pass the straight-face test, in my view, that we’re not in the midst of hostilities.”
A sticking point for some skeptics was whether any mission that included firing missiles from drone aircraft could be portrayed as not amounting to hostilities.
As the May 20 deadline approached, Mr. Johnson advocated stopping the drone strikes as a way to bolster the view that the remaining activities in support of NATO allies were not subject to the deadline, officials said. But Mr. Obama ultimately decided that there was no legal requirement to change anything about the military mission.
The administration followed an unusual process in developing its position. Traditionally, the Office of Legal Counsel solicits views from different agencies and then decides what the best interpretation of the law is. The attorney general or the president can overrule its views, but rarely do.
In this case, however, Ms. Krass was asked to submit the Office of Legal Counsel’s thoughts in a less formal way to the White House, along with the views of lawyers at other agencies. After several meetings and phone calls, the rival legal analyses were submitted to Mr. Obama, who is a constitutional lawyer, and he made the decision.”

As I have said many times in the past Congress simply KOWTOWS to the alleged POTUS and are failing miserably in even doing what they are supposed to be doing. Instead they steal taxpayer money,live their grandios life style, and very obviously COULDN’T CARE LESS AS TO THE CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR,of the illegal POTUS. I am wondering if even our foreign neighbors have any remaining testicular presence. It seems as though everybody on earth have lost their strength of character,and their presence of sound mind,and turned into a writhing mass of MAGGOTS UPON A DEAD CARCASS. All trying to gain dominence at the same time, while sucking their food from the rotting,and otherwise stinking carcass.

It appears Glenn is on to something. So is Joseph Farah of WND. See today’s WND article. In my opinion, BO has too much baggage and his chances of winning in 2012 are slim. Thats why the Dems want Hillary to run. And that’s why the GOP wants Obama to run. Maybe the reason Obama is campaigning so early is so that he can acquire campaign funds to pay his legal fees when he’s no longer in office.

I know you probably haven’t heard this anywhere else before.
But I don’t think Barack Obama will be on the Democratic ballot as a candidate for re-election to the presidency.
And I know he’s not going to win a second term.
Just look at the way he is already second-guessing his announcement to run again.

It appears that Hawaii Senator, Sam Slom, has been interested in finding out the truth about Obama’s birth origins. But why has he not investigated whether Obama’s recently released long-form Certificate of Live Birth is authentic?
Here is what researcher and writer, Devvy, wrote in her recent article: “Congress – Yes, Obama Is Above The Law:”

I have reported on this blog about the great amount of existing evidence that the electronic image and the underlying paper document are both forgeries. http://puzo1.blogspot.com/2011/06/congress-investigates-sexual-flings-of.html. As a Hawaii State Senator, Senator Slom surely has the resources and influence to be able to dispel this evidence and confirm with the Hawaii Department of Health whether the document image that Obama released on the internet on April 27, 2011 is authentic.
We should follow Devvy’s advice and find out why Senator Slom has not done more to seek the truth about Obama’s recently released birth certificate. We need to demand of him that if he is going to do his job and honor his oath to protect and defend the Constitution, he needs to fight this battle all the way and not just make believe that he is.

Ahlert said Huma’s brother has been a key to furthering the Islamic agenda in the West.
Hassan Abedin has been seen meeting with Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal on an agenda of “spreading Islam to the west” and is “well linked” to al-Qaida associate Omar Naseef.
A 2007 report, Ahlert said, identified Naseef as the likely force behind the Abedin family’s departure from Michigan to Jeddah in about 1977. ”

Furthermore, the Sisterhood’s mission includes:
[O]rganiz[ing] projects which will penetrate its prohibited ideology into the decision making in the West and in an indirect way under the guise of “general needs of women”…through the university and the state capitals and institutions and is done in accordance to the project Al-Islam Huwa Al-Hal (Islam is the solution).
The newspaper then lists the names of the women who belong to the organization on a country-by-country basis. There are a dozen members of the Sisterhood from Saudi Arabia. Saleha Mahmoud Abdeen (Abedin) [Weiner’s mother-in-law] is one of them.”

“We have the makings of a constitutional crisis when the president, who as a U.S. senator acknowledged the duty of a president to come to Congress for permission to conduct a war, simply changes course on his interpretation of the War Powers Resolution and determines to conduct a war absent congressional authorization, even when it is contrary to the best legal advice of the Pentagon and the Justice Department,” he said.
Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said that he found it “interesting that in early April the president touted the Office of Legal Counsel’s legal opinion on actions in Libya, and now that the opinion doesn’t fit his agenda, he chooses to ignore them.”
“If dropping bombs and firing missiles on military installations are not hostilities, I don’t know what is,” he said. “The president’s actions on Libya are nothing short of bizarre.”

Bless You for carrying my posts here the other day….I’d like to bring THIS one over from another blog that I visited today…..who referenced a post&email article about a lawsuit being filed. making the same charges, that our Gov has been working against us…
On the blog you mentioned, I had been accused of not making myself clear…I am guilty as charged, I admit it…..so THIS post I made today will hopefully “break down” what I was trying to say the other day.
I am really glad I came over here today and read the above post from ..because I had a BREAKTHROUGH moment this past week and have been TRYING to explain it some on another blog, and have been having a hard time doing so..It seems that MANY of us are coming to the conclusion that EVERY member of Congress, and even the Supreme Court and others have actively worked to keep “We the People” from becoming informed about who our President is.
Even going so far as allowing Executive Orders from a “President “who never even provided proof of Citizenship, against us…….and ALL of Congress treating this man as a legitimate President ,,when again, he never even provided proof of citizenship..let alone his “eligibility in any OTHER way.
What I have been trying to point out….is that NOW we have a CLEAR case of PROVING, beyond a doubt that EVERY member of Congress, our Courts etc. have ALL violated their sacred oaths to The Consitution…..
The point that I have been TRYING to make is……rather than use this as the “basis” for a lawsuit..how about we use this as REASON and Justification for “We the People” to exert our Contitutional authority to alter, change, or overthrow the Government that has clearly changed from a Gov. that works FOR “We the People” to one that actively works against us.
I see this as a rare opportunity, literally HANDED to us to Clean house of EVERY member of Congress, and the Courts who have clearly violated their sacred oaths to the Contitution…not just Obama, but ALL of them, and replace them with people who WILL honor their Oaths to the Consitution.
I am not thinking a MARCH, or an angry mob just going in and shutting down the Gov. I am thinking more along the lines of each Tea Party, national organization etc….to stop working for any elections, we suspend elections for a time, ( we have seen that they are not really “elections by we the People) no other causes, and concentrate on selecting people from their states who are known lovers of the Constitution, and appointing them to replace the violaters.
When we have these people selected and ready to go….we send in a Comittee/panel/spokesspeople .. to a Congressional meeting and inform them that We the People are using our Constituional authority to remove the following membrs of Congress and the Senate and replace them with…..the ones we have selected..
Using our Consitutional authority..not mob force.
Does anybody ELSE see the vision of this?..and the rare opportunity that we have to shut down the Marxist take over of our Country in it’s tracks…..and how we could begin to heal with a NEW Government, committed to making our Country the Free nation that our Founding Fathers envisioned for us…..and demanded that we guard diligently for future generations?..if we could have THAT!!!! The “other issues” that we are fighting for will kind of “take care of themselves”

I love your idea, just replace them all. We would be better off with the first 600 people out of the phone book, than the well oiled thieves we have now.

Congressman Steve King Statement on His Amendment to Defund Pigford II
The USDA said that there were 18,000 black farmers back in 1995 and it was expected that 3,000 would file discrimination claims. The number of claims grew to 22,051 and $1.05 billion was paid to settle claims.
Pigford II was passed by lame duck session late last fall and now there are 94,000 claims, but there were only 18,000 farmers according to the USDA and the U.S. census.

I have long advocated the complete abolition of the alleged Federal Government as such. This could all be accomplished in less than 15 minutes,and the present CRIMINALS would find themselves on the street,and out of a job. However as you said it must be done intelligently,otherwise the entire effort could miss completely and the country could sink into complete anarchy. The Declaration of Independence tells us that we must divest ourselves of a TYRANNICAL GOVERNMENT,lest we be once again encumbered to a foreign government. WE THE PEOPLE are charged with this responsibility. Why everybody is still sitting on their duffs and doing NOTHING is a MYSTERY to me. It is WE THE PEOPLE who are the ONLY remaining force in the US who LEGALLY have the right to act. The Federal Government as such must be abolished,and a NEW GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE,BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE, IMMEDIATELY INSTALLED. Such abolition would also include the present US Supreme Court,the DOJ,and all 123 Federal Judges as well. The process is quite simple. Yet NOBODY will get off their duff, and call all Americans together,and press forward. To this I reiterate “Keep sitting on your duffs,and doing nothing……..you will soon wish you had taken the initiative, but by then it will no longer be possible to save our country.
Happy Father’s Day to all! May this be a great time to remember our dads, whether still with us or “on the other side.” We love you, Dad!

Yes, Jonah! Several days ago I read an article about that connection and it is troubling indeed. One wonders how a Muslim (Huma is) could marry a Jew and still keep in the good graces of Islam. Perhaps, it is to allow her to pass on intelligence to our enemy, the Jihadists.
Huma has been associated with Hillary for many years as a close assistant. Now that Hillary is Secretary of State one wonders what does Huma know that would compromise the USA. Bill Clinton married Huma and Anthony last year, in case someone didn’t know.

Just got home from church and gotta start cookin’ Father’s Day dinner. Huma being a Muslim isn’t as troubling as knowing that her family has connections to the Muslim Brotherhood! I know Bill married the couple which has me puzzled. Since when does an ex-president have the authority to perform a marriage ceremony?
Getting back to the topic “copy and paste on a Mac” of BO’s White House BC. I asked my daughter how to copy the document using a Mac but she was not very receptive to my question. I did mention to you that she voted for the Fraud, along with other family members. Family situation was sorta rough for a while following 2008 election. When I emailed her anti Obama info, I was accused of trying to force my beliefs on my children. I thought we got past that. Her reply tells me that BO’s supporters are r-e-a-l-l-y t-o-u-c-h-y about the fake BC. And she never admitted that the document was a fake. She usually calls home 2/3 times a week but I haven’t heard from her since I sent the email. So I better let it go.
I’m hoping someday my children who supported BO will tell me “Mom, you were right about Obama. He is a fraud”. Here is part of her reply which includes pdf education, not exactly what I had asked for………
4. In the future, just tell people to take screenshots, save them as images, and post them that way.

THANK GOD for you!!! YOU SEE my vision!!!!!!!!!! I think the most importatnt thing we need to do at this point is SHARE that vision with the Tea Parties etc….nationwide, every one in every state….and then mobilize to FIND those Consitution abidiing people and seat them….regardless of whether they have name recognition, money to run a campaign or not….STATESMEN, not politicians.
Actually, I guess YOU have had the vision all along…..it just HIT me, by seeing all of the “Birthers” begging Congress, the Courts etc to listen to us!!!..that we finally have a “case” against ALL of them..and if we handle it right…..we can REALLY clean house and begn to heal our Country.

Didn’t you hear, democrats can usurp any job they wish? Qualified to perform marriage ceremony?, no problem, President of the USA?, no problem, we are democrats. Qualified to usurp any office on the planet.
And on topic: is it any surprise that Huma is a Muslim activist and that she works for Hillary? The Clintons were responsible for Panetta’s rise to power as the WH Chief of Staff, which preceded his appointment by Zero to CIA chief and the exposure of ALL State secrets. Sorry, Jonah, for the problem caused in inquiring from your daughter about my inability to copy the pdf file. I understand how it is when family members don’t agree politically.
I do appreciate and thank you very much for the links you posted, which broaden my understanding of what exactly pdf files are and their limitations. Your daughter’s hesitance to answer the question is probably because of the complexities involved. In other words, it is not a question easily responded to. Thanks again for helping me, and I hope that the eyes of those we love will soon be opened.
