Former top fundraiser for Blagojevich could still be called as federal witness
With the agreement of lawyers on both sides, a federal judge on Thursday indefinitely postponed the sentencing of Antoin “Tony” Rezko, keeping open the possibility that the government could call the former top fundraiser for Rod Blagojevich at the former governor’s retrial.
Prosecutors didn’t call Rezko at Blagojevich’s trial last year, but the government could be re-evaluating that since the jury deadlocked on all but one count against the former governor. He was convicted of lying to the FBI.
Rezko began to cooperate with investigators after a federal jury convicted him in 2008 of extorting millions of dollars from firms seeking state business. He was scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 28. He also faces sentencing for a separate conviction stemming from a fraudulent loan scheme.”
“Prosecutors gave no indication if Rezko would be called to testify in the Blagojevich retrial or the trial of co-defendant William Cellini, a Springfield powerbroker, in August.”

This is important and links Obama, who was chairman of the IL Senate committee that changed the number of board members from 15 to 9, to the board rigging.

As I am not an attorney, I’m not sure that any crimes have been committed with respect to either… jbjd’s analysis that the presentation of the COLB on Fightthesmears was political advertising so I’m not sure how that affects whether or not the validity (altering what appears to be a state document) of the COLB matters (for criminal purposes), nor do I know what (if any) crime would have been committed for altering the COLB if it wasn’t used in the capacity to prove i.d. The same goes for the letter to the hospital with the Presidential Seal…is it illegal to present a letter from the President altering the seal? Perhaps you can have them follow up with the hospital to get the letter?

The State of Hawaii (specifically, Dr. Fukino) did not say “Obama was born in Hawaii” until AFTER you, John Boehner, voted in favor of House of Representatives Resolution 593 which contained the words “Obama was born in Hawaii”.
The irony is that you did not rely on a document from Hawaii, but rather Hawaii relied on a document that you voted for in Washington, D.C.!
15) Which Government Organization Was The First To Say, “Obama was born in Hawaii”?
If Speaker Boehner thinks the answer to that question is “the State of Hawaii”, he is sadly mistaken. The answer to that question is “the U.S. House of Representatives”. And they did so without any documentary proof of the claim.

That shooter had NO trust in God.. He was NOT a member of any tea party..We do NOT have communists or haters of our country in our tea party.. This man is a disturbed young man…. Was he injured in Afghanistan? Does he have post-traumatic distress? I don’t know. But after reading of his ramblings , I am convinced he is mentally disturbed.. I would not be the least bit surprised if eventually he is found incompetent to stand trial..

Cabby, I 100% agree with you. I have spent the last few hours trying to talk some sense into the mindless leftists on the Denver Post Blog. If you go there, you’ll probably figure out who I am :)… MSNBC, certain pundits etc. came out with guns blazing against those of us who support the TEA Party movement. As bad as they want it to be otherwise, we are peaceful. I think that I’ve turned the blog around to some sort of rational thought. Those people should be ashamed of themselves, but that is what we are up against in general (mindless Obot leftists who have no care for the truth).
In the mean time, let’s mourn the deaths and pray for the injured (so that they recover as best that they can and that nobody else passes) and the families. Let us pray especially for the family of the 9 year old child.
I will add that if the person was acting in the name of the TEA Party movement, which I don’t believe that he was, that he must be denounced as pure evil. My conclusion was the same as yours, that he was a left wing anarchist. Probably mentally disturbed. Druggie.

I DID go over to the Denver Post and read your posts, which were excellent in trying to bring some sanity to the discussion. It is amazing how quickly the libs jump onto the Tea Party and conservative radio voices, too, as the underlying cause (if not direct) for this horrible violence. You have put the nail where it belongs – directly on a deranged, radical, probably drugged crazy, who was living out the twisted thinking that he had been feeding for some time.
I’m listening to Fox right now, and the Pima County Sheriff also has made the suggestion very strongly that it’s the rhetoric and hate that is being fostered by some in the media….. What are other instances where the Leftist media attempted to pin some terrible event on the Tea Party or conservatives in general, where it turned out the atrocities were committed either by Leftist Democrats or Muslims?
We can think of a three others right off the top of our heads:
(1) NYC Times Square car bomb attempt: where Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the Leftist media attempted to blame the Tea Party, but it was a Muslim who was responsible for attempting to detonate a car filled with makeshift explosives bent on murdering scores of people in Times Square.
(2) February 2010 IRS plane attack: where the Leftist media tried to claim the Tea Party was involved in an attack on an Austin, Texas IRS facility; turns out the pilot was a Democrat.
(3) Ft. Hood attack: where the Leftist media tried to claim the Tea Party was responsible for murders on an Army base; turns out it was a Muslim who shouted “Admiral Akbar!” at the top of his lungs while opening fire on his fellow soldiers.
Can you cite other instances where the Leftist media has tried its best to pin something on Tea Party members when in the end it turns out Muslims or Leftists were actually responsible?

This was done, in my opinion, intentionally to try to make him fit Napolitano’s report about the “radicalization” of returning war veterans (remember that report). When you first try to join the Military, you go and see a Recruiter. In John Lee Loughner’s case, it was an Army Recruiter. After you fill out the paperwork, you are then assigned to go to a MEPS station for Evaluation (Both Mental and Physical). You are given a very lengthy form to fill out with very odd questions on them (Mental Evaluation) (I’m sure the Incident with the Small Bible didn’t land him in the PASS catagory). You are then stripped to your underwear and given a Vigorous Physical Evaluation. My guess is that he didn’t pass the Mental Evaluation and was denied access to Join the Army. His Records were more than likely discarded since he didn’t make the cut.

Cabby. Google Sheriff Clarence Dupnik (what a name)…I’m not saying that his job isn’t tough, nor is he unprofessional (as I don’t know), but he is definitely a Democrat. First of all, my condolences to the families of those who have died at the hands of this psychotic murderer. I am praying for Ms Giffords who has a very young family.
Second, several years ago, another psychotic by the name of Martin Bryant started firing at people at point blank range in Port Arthur, Tasmania. A number of people were killed.
Firearms should be kept out of the hands of the mentally ill, which basically means that liscensing laws should somehow be toughened. I am not against law abiding citizens owning guns.
For me, there will always be the memory of the death of my cousin, who did not reach her 21st birthday. Dawn was kidnapped raped and murdered by a man who was a border in her home. He raped her, then put a gun to her head, and then killed himself.
They keep on bringing up Sarah Palin as being somehow responsible for this evil act today. The murderer was a left wing anarchist. He was mentally deranged, but that is stopping them. We need to show the leftists everywhere that they are pushing this idea this letter that was posted on the Daily Kos a few days ago, a bullseye was also placed on Congresswoman Gifford.

If the DPH’s OCON did not meet requirement HRS 11-113(c)(1)(B) by not explicitly including “…a statement that each candidate is legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution…”, then how can the DPH file a legally omissive OCON?
How could it be legal to be omisive? Didn’t it violate Hawaiian law?
I think what Mr. Johannson is trying to say is that the authority granted to Mr. Cronin in HRS 11-113 to approve a legally deficient OCN submitted by the DPH is the shadowy legal channel that allowed Obama to usurp the office of the POTUS. But I don’t think that will ever remove the legal obligation for the DPH to comply with HRS 11-113(c)(1)(B), so the submission of a deficient OCON can never be referred to as legally omisive.

Can someone enlighten me whether the DailyKos owner can be arrested for destroying evidence in the Giffords shooting case if it turns out that BoyBlue is indeed the shooter? It is clear now that the shooter loved the Communist Manifeso and is an ardent leftist. Also, Giffords is Jewish and we know the anti-Semitism that pervades liberals. Remember Helen Thomas? So all this clearly proves that liberalism is the reason for the shooting.
If BoyBlue is indeed the shooter, then DailyKos is clearly guilty of abetting a crime by destroying evidence about the person’s true motives.

My prediction. The news is going to say, any minute now, how Obama is Presidential in handling of this. Obama is going to send out ‘special units’ to investigate, just like the Fort Hood shooting. This guy had already posted threats on the Daily Kos, yet not a single FBI finger was lifted to stop him.
The ‘government’ of the United States of America no longer serves the people, it serves a Progressive/communist/New Fascists interests. The media is lock step with the left wing nuts and functions for propaganda purposes. Alas, dear one, you are fundamentally correct, but the devil is in the details? How do you define mentally ill? There are a number of conditions that are currently thought to be “illness” that do not necessarily impair judgment. Contrarily, there are a number of conditions that impair judgment (often dramatically), but are not listed as illnesses.
Further, who gets to define Mental Illness? Are you sure that Obama’s Czar’s (or agencies) will not soon declare Homophobia and “Religious Fervor”, or even “radical conservatism”, as a Mental Illness? What about Soldiers with PTSD?
I worry FAR MORE about abuse of power than I do about abuse of gun rights.
