It is over five months later, and it’s Veterans Day. We owe so much to both the living and the dead heroes. The battle still rages, but our faith is firm and our gratitude never ending.
CW – I wonder if the following case will be one to watch to see if the Supreme Courts gives some insight how they view the “natural born Citizen” phrase. It would not be necessary to the case but they may take the opportunity to give a hint or demonstrate the difference between Natural Born Citizen and ordinary citizen.

Supreme Court discusses gender discrimination in citizenship case
A deportee born in Mexico to an unwed American father says he should be deemed a U.S. citizen. But under U.S. law, unwed fathers have a harder time than unwed mothers in passing on their citizenship.
….Congress has made it easier for unwed American mothers than it is for unwed fathers to pass on their citizenship. The foreign-born baby of an unmarried American mother is a U.S. citizen if the mother lived in the United States for at least one year. But under a 1952 law, an unmarried American father could not pass on his citizenship to his foreign-born child unless the father had lived at least five years in the United States after age 14….
….But the prospects for Flores-Villar soon faded. Justice Anthony M. Kennedy said he saw no reason to second-guess Congress in setting such rules. Scalia said the court had never ordered the government to declare someone a U.S. citizen.
The Constitution says children born in the United States are citizens, regardless of their parents’ status. However, “no foreign-born person has a free-standing right” to citizenship, the government said.
Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. suggested the answer in this case might be to make it just as hard for unwed American mothers to pass on their citizenship to a foreign-born child. “The remedy for an equal protection violation is to treat everybody the same,” he said. But that would be of no help to Flores-Villar, he noted….

I recall reading that a Monroe County Sheriff Deputy who had threatened Mr. Miller was the primary suspect but was never charged. Now they are withholding the autopsy report.
The FBI should be investigating this murder. Gov Haslam should order the TBI to investigate as soon as he takes office. It is outrageous that the Republican Elections Commissioner was murdered and nothing is being done about it.

Retired judges are rushing through complex cases to speed foreclosures in Florida
The foreclosure lawyers down in Jacksonville had warned me, but I was skeptical. They told me the state of Florida had created a special super-high-speed housing court with a specific mandate to rubber-stamp the legally dicey foreclosures by corporate mortgage pushers like Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan Chase. This “rocket docket,” as it is called in town, is presided over by retired judges who seem to have no clue about the insanely complex financial instruments they are ruling on — securitized mortgages and labyrinthine derivative deals of a type that didn’t even exist when most of them were active members of the bench. Their stated mission isn’t to decide right and wrong, but to clear cases and blast human beings out of their homes with ultimate velocity. They certainly have no incentive to penetrate the profound criminal mysteries of the great American mortgage bubble of the 2000s, perhaps the most complex Ponzi scheme in human history — an epic mountain range of corporate fraud in which Wall Street megabanks conspired first to collect huge numbers of subprime mortgages, then to unload them on unsuspecting third parties like pensions, trade unions and insurance companies (and, ultimately, you and me, as taxpayers) in the guise of AAA-rated investments. Peter Boyles interview was so interesting. Lt. Col. Terry Lakin’s case is being compared to: Tienanmen Square, Nuremberg War Trials, Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell, and other famous injustices. I wonder how many times the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was imprisoned for standing up for injustices? Worse they accused Lt. Col. Terry Lakin of being a racist (as they accuse everyone who doesn’t agree with them)-which Col. Lakins’ brother pointed out Lt. Lakins wife is from a race other than his own and they have three children. Lt. Lakin is ready to go to jail if Court-Martialed, WWD is ready to support his new role as a martyr to a cause and will publicize this as much as possible. Issuing a warning? I don’t know, but the commitments are coming in from many retired military, people who served under Col. Lakin are supporting him, Col. Lakin said he will carry the flag on this one.
More Democrats are coming to these reporters with more information re: gov’t/Obama frauds, obviously some remembered they are Americans first and/or not afraid anymore, or protecting themselves in some way.
As Obama gets weaker in the polls they expect even more information to be released. This latest trip with the $200 million price tag, I still hope this number is high, but we will see after FOIA documents come through and Michelle’s super expensive Spain trip-not going over too well with the American people.

Seniors can be instructed in what to look for so that they can identify a fraud easily.

Veterans Day 2010
It finally ended a few weeks ago.
The misbegotten Treaty of Versailles stopped the fighting of “The Great War” on June 28, 1919. But that “war to end all wars” was merely act one in a world wide conflagration that is now numbered in two parts.
As wise statesmen have noted, the cessation of hostilities in World War I ended in an Allied victory but there was no peace. It required the second mass slaughter to give birth to not only a victory but to a peace as well – a peace that lasted for generations – interrupted repeatedly by a Cold War and lesser proxy wars.

A Veterans Day Story
This morning while watching MSNBC, they had two former Secret Service agents on publicizing a new book called “The Kennedy Detail”. It appears to be a book to dispel any conspiracy theory. My only problem with this is that several years ago while listening to Art Bell of Coast To Coast conduct a 3 hour show on what do you think really happened on that November day in 1963 I heard a theory that sounded credible. After about three hours of the usual calls, one fellow called and said “Now listen – this is what really happened.” His demeanor was very authoritative and knowledgeable sounding. He said that one of the agents in the heat of the moment grabbed his rifle and it accidentally fired. In one of those one-in-a-million accidents, the bullet struck the President. OMG – How can we who are charged with protecting the President, be the cause of his death? Hasn’t anyone ever been suspicious how quickly the Warren Commission concluded it’s investigation. As one of the authors said – “there was no conspiracy”. IT WAS AN ACCIDENT BY OUR OWN GOVERNMENT FOR GOD’S SAKE.
As John F. Kennedy was a real WW2 Veteran and hero in saving his crew, I think he would want the truth to be told.
Here is testimony from a lawsuit and the source.
a. On page 106, beginning in the first paragraph,
Hickey had clearly heard the first shot. Sitting on top of the
seat back, he had already spun completely around and was staring up
toward the book depository. The other agents were just starting to
turn. So, Hickey hears the first shot and looks back to where he
thought it came from. And in a second or two, the follow-up car goes a
little farther and the oak tree that had obscured his view is cleared.
At that point, Hickey must have seen the barrel of Oswald’s gun. He had
to. He was looking right at it. And Oswald fires again.
So Hickey reaches down and grabs the AR-15 off the floor, flips
off the safety and stands up on the seat, preparing to return fire. But
his footing is precarious. The follow-up car hits the brakes or speeds
up. Hickey begins to swing the gun around to draw a bead on Oswald, but
he loses his balance. He begins to fall.
And the barrel happens to be pointing toward Kennedy’s head. And
the gun happens to go off.
b. On page 108, second paragraph,
Finally, he [Donahue] knew the bullet’s trajectory led straight to
Hickey and his gun. As far as he was concerned, this was an unshakable
ballistic fact. The bullet that hit Kennedy in the head came from the
left rear. From the follow-up car. From the AR-15.
c. On page 112, first paragraph,
Bobby [Robert Kennedy] may well have, understandably, codified the

There is no question that it was absolutely wrong to merge the Social Security funds with the general fund; however, I am wondering if anyone really knows how much has been paid out to S.S. recipients through the years? Those payments, which then subsequently had to come from the general fund, need to be taken into account in order to arrive at a correct, theoretical balance of what should be in the S.S. fund if it had been left intact.
I know of many S.S. recipients who have drawn far more than they ever paid in, including a fair growth return. That all has to be factored in, of course. The real truth is that the government is depending upon the S.S. taxes of current workers to keep up with its commitments to present retirees. The entire system is broken, that’s for sure.

Re. my 3:58 PM post, I must also add that the employer matched the amount paid in by employees. We must also not forget that when Soc. Sec. was legislated, the life expectancy for seniors was considerably lower than it is now.

At first the home ownership material started out slowly, then within a space of about 5 years it got crazy, off the charts crazy-We kept getting material in the mail-Zero per cent down, zero payments for 2 years-APR unknown would kick in later-I thought it was a scam so I just threw it away-many times. Our normal 200-250,000.00 neighborhood suddenly 5-600,000.00 in less than 5 years-and real estates trying to convince you to sell-what the heck would you replace it with? In FL-property taxes based on millage and amount paid for house-so my 1200.00 tax bill, to any new buyer would have been 10,000.00-as soon as that first wave of tax bills went out these people knew they were cooked. My one neighbor told me in some neighborhoods you are not allowed to use the word tax bill-50/50 on when house bought/sold-then there was the group that flipped (one house at a time worked) but some investors were buying 10 properties at a time-figuring they were going to make a killing-a thing called pre-construction-after things started going bad a lot of those projects just stopped in various stages of development. I remember saying to another neighbor who did invest in some properties (cautiously) whatever happened to truth in lending? Then in FL they had Real Estate Seminars convincing a lot of young very inexperienced buyers of a lot of craziness. When the job market took a hit-that just wrecked things for a lot of people-poor, middle class and wealthy (some no longer). Those who saved and lived within their incomes did ok, not great but ok. Still a lot of “stuff” needs to be corrected in FL. Our new Gov. elect Rick Scott said he was going to go on a tour of the US trying to get companies/people to relocate here. FL has a lot of pluses for the CA folks-lots lower taxes, no state tax-weather, oceans similar. The only thing I heard former Californians complain about is lack of bike paths-FL a little behind on that. So if anyone is disgusted with CA, FL is a good state to check out and TX is doing a good job on that score too. I’m sure many others here could mention other states that would be a good fit also. I called this the dot.com real estate market because that was the way it was being played, and you cannot, should not do that with real estate, especially if it is the roof over your head (former for a lot of people). Lots of McMansions went up, every time I saw one I thought French Revolution-they are done forever-they are they eyesores in many neighborhoods now.
This just came in on our local news in FL-300 schools in Broward County were locked down due to this. The FBI is investigating-I don’t know if they said prank call, threatening call-not sure on that part.

Kaufman is known for making controversial pronouncements on her show and told a recent Tea Party rally that if “ballots don’t work, bullets will.”

My neighbor, in 2004, bought his house of 1,100 sq.ft. on a single lot for 140,000. He decided to sell in 2006 just after he basically painted the exterior and put new shingles on the roof. He offered it to me for 300,000 before real estate agent fees. (No way!) The real estate agent ended up being my landlord and she put his home on the market for 315,000. I asked her if she had heard about the housing bubble happening in San Diego (her home town) and she shouldn’t put it up so high, but she did. The home sold to a flipper and he put on new shingles and painted the exterior again, added a deck and landscaped the front yard. He put it on the market within two months at 480,000. It sold to a person from California who was perfectly happy to get a home for so much less than in California. The house I lived in, next door, owned by the real estate agent, 1600 sq. ft. with an additional lot, sold last year for 260,000, …of course, …after the housing bubble burst.
Moral of the story: If ya think the new roof is going to leak, put another new roof on and make a bunch of money. P.S. – The flipper and his wife drove matching black Range Rovers and passed on any neighborly conversation.

Word is it is even showing up in Tennessee…so, no, I don’t want a home in Florida…I really think we’ve not seen the last of the damage done by ole Corexit.
I would say that it is unbelievable that Darren Huff was charged when he clearly committed no crime, but having been arrested on false charges myself nothing that happens to Patriots in Tennessee surprises me anymore.
Even if you believe the bank teller who said that he said he was “going to take over the town,” I see no commission here, i.e., he clearly made no attempt to take over the town.
After reading this interview it becomes clear that BHO’s DHS attempted to manufacture a Waco-type attack on the citizens of Tennessee. All of the Tennessee officials who participated in this outlawry should be ashamed of themselves.
This interview should be sent to all of the National Press so that American Citizens know what happens to Patriots who travel to Tennessee.
BTW, Monroe County is on I-75 on the way to the Smokey Mountains. I have never traveled through that area of Tennessee and after reading about what happened to Darren Huff, I will not go near Monroe County and I advise all others to stay away as well.
