Andy Stern federal corruption investigation, FBI probe of SEIU union boss, Obama healthcare budget advisor

Andy Stern federal corruption investigation, FBI probe of SEIU union boss,  Obama healthcare budget advisor

From The Examiner October 5, 2010.

“FBI investigates Obama’s healthcare, budget advisor”

“”If we cant use the power of persuasion, we will use the persuasion of power. Workers of the world unite,” Andy Stern, SEIU

The SEIU union boss Andy Stern is reportedly linked to a federal corruption investigation initiated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Stern is known to regularly visited the White House and participated in so-called “closed-door Obamacare meetings” with the President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Stern, who sits on President Obama’s National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, is the target of an FBI probe focusing on his crooked dealings as head of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), according to a Washington, D.C. watchdog group.

Stern and Obama have long been good friends and last year the veteran Big Labor leader was the most frequent White House visitor, according to recently disclosed records obtained by Judicial Watch, a public-interest group that investigates political corruption.

In addition, Stern’s union members have a reputation for being the Democrat Party’s “Brown Shirts” by providing muscle in the left’s continued attack on Tea Party participants.

Stern is considered a key figure in secret Obamacare meetings, which violated the president’s own campaign promise of televising all healthcare discussions on C-Span. None of these meetings were televised and in fact it took a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) case to get a release of visitor records from the White House.

Health Department records obtained by Judicial Watch through a FOIA lawsuit reveal that Stern attended the covert pow-wows to take over the nation’s healthcare system along with other liberal-left union leaders, Vice President Joe Biden, Health Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, among others.

So far the president has refused to comment on his pal’s corruption probe, which centers on a six-figure book contract and a shady “confidential” deal he approved for a California SEIU leader (Alejandro Stephens) sentenced to prison a few weeks ago for fraud.

Under the secret agreement Sterns gave Stephens, who headed the Los Angeles SEIU local for county government workers, $150,000 for “consulting” work that was never performed, according to a Los Angeles Times report.”

During today’s Kudlow segment, CNBC’s Diana Ollick who is by and far the company’s best (and only) investigative reporter, confirms various so far unfounded rumors, that the government is planning to institute a 90 day foreclosure moratorium as it deals with the realization of just how big and pervasive the mortgage problem is, and even worse, will soon be. It is so bad that even a typically ebullient Larry Kudlow is forced to note that this is the “housing equivalent of the credit financial meltdown” and that “this is going to go on for ever.” The biggest issue that is now developing, as we noted last week, is the fact that title insurers (firms such as Fidelity National, First American, Stewart Info and Old Republic) are refusing to insure mortgages in foreclosure or otherwise, uncertain as to who actually owns the title. And for all those who believe this will merely keep prices artificially high, we have very bad news – the problem with the title insurers walking away on fears of lawsuits is that no lender will be willing to write a mortgage without title insurance, meaning that suddenly the up-front component of home purchases will either necessarily have to surge, or home prices will have to plunge by a like amount, as there is simply not enough equity (read money) to cover the resulting debt deficiency. Alas, this mess is just starting, and as people realize how bad it is, it very well may lead to a total collapse in the housing market.

Dr. Sam Sewell: “I think CGJ is the quickest, most effective, and most practical way to clean up government corruption. I have yet to see a viable argument against that premise.”

Justice Lewis Powell ruled:“ Such an (Grand Jury) investigation may be triggered by tips, rumors… or the personal knowledge of the grand jurors.”

This comment is quite amusing considering my S/N, Rosemary Woodhouse, but eerily true: we simply don’t know who has been co-opted. The CIA, appointed by o and run by an insider, Panetta, must have some patriotic rogues. Likewise, military personnel and the aforementioned FBI. The bottom line is this man, now called our president, emerged from nowhere. This doesn’t occur without powerful and myriad forces behind the curtain, not to mention years of planning and establishing allies in the right places.

    Joe McCarthy has been vindicated.

Something is amiss in Florida with foreclosures. Something is amiss nationally with foreclosures. When one is foreclosed on, the creditor must file an affidavit with the court. It seems GMAC was manufacturing 10,000 fake affidavits per month. That’s right. Signing judgment affidavits, which evict real live people, without checking the statements and data contained within as even being correct. Get’s worse. The courts are so overwhelmed, they are processing cases like the delousing chambers at Dachau.

  9. Rosemary Woodhouse,|This may explain how Obama moved up the ladder so fast.

Found this at Andy Martin’s site, this is part of what he had to say about Obama being a Muslim.

During the 2008 presidential campaign I called Barack Obama the “World’s Greatest Entertainer.” I viewed Obama’s campaign trope as nothing more than skillfully presented entertainment. Americans were frustrated and disappointed with George Bush and the Republicans, as they had every right to be; voters were looking for some diversion from the mess the Bush years had created in Washington. Obama was the perfect entertainer. He diverted and channeled our disappointments into his own political pocket.

Obama’s nightclub act was pure painlessness. He told us “we” were the solution. “Hope,” “change” and reform without any cost, without any sacrifice, without any consequences.

People were offended when I called Obama an “entertainer” but his bag of political tricks was nothing more than entertainment. Lots of actors play doctors on TV; I wouldn’t count on them to perform surgery in a real hospital. People were desperate to believe in “Dr. Hope and Change.” They confused “acting” with “leading.”

By elevating “hope” and “change” over reality, they elected Obama, someone who portrayed a doctor, to actually “practice” medicine to cure what ailed America. The result is the disaster we face today.

  10. Fortunately, I owe less than $3000 on my house before it’s paid off. My Mortgage is through a Credit Union, not a bank. I do not trust banks, and only belong to LOCAL Credit Unions. (Navy Federal Credit Union being the exception). I have NEVER had any problems with any one of the Credit Unions that I am a member of.

  11. The “Tarp Bill” was to bail out the banks because they were “too big to fail” I don’t recall the precise number (878 billion or 787 billion). This was to bail out the banks because of all the people who defaulted on the mortgage loans. The banks got paid for all the loans defaulted. Why then did they continue to foreclose upon the people in default? This has never passed the smell test with me.

It is wrong to charge two different people for the same product. It is called fraud. If the banks got their lost money from “Tarp”, then how can they in good faith continue to foreclose on the people who defaulted, then remarket their paid for properties and get paid again? The fact is for every home the banks received Tarp money; they should have relieved the home owner of his debt. The home should have been deeded back to the home owner.

“Tarp” was enacted while Bush was still in office. I have wondered ever since just what kind of a private deal did Hank Paulson cut with the banks. I have wondered why NO ONE IN POWER EVER investigated this. As usual, the homeowner has been blewed, screwed, and tattooed. This is tantamount to mass piracy of the American home owner. They are not yet through with us. THIS REGIME IS AFTER ALL AMERICAN PROPERTY–PRIVATE AND PUBLIC.

Thank you to Old Salt for your comments yesterday . Regarding CW’s commentary on “Its a wonderful life ” – my thought was only to point out
we are as a family experiencing the aftermath of corruption on steroids and we are still plowing forward – no matter how strong the ocd of this admin is we have still the choice to be free and great and we are never going to give in or up .
We went to the rally on 828 just to see the crowds . I do believe God is the only answer to correct the illness es in this country or the golden rule . I do not believe one man or one group has the only answer but through God and seeking the higher path to elivate man we will only do good / we will make mistakes but our journey is not selfishly motivated . I do not trust in mankind – not for answers to my happiness in this world ….my faith leads me in the correct direction . We are operating on no faith or agnostically with the powers in office now – this must change – the change we want is honest , truth , vigilance , loyalty to the American people1st not other countries – need I go on ? In God all is possible .

    ____________________________________________________

It’s fairly complicated, but in a nutshell what TARP became was a replacement for the secondary markets that purchased mortgage backed securities (MBS). The original idea was to pump instant reserves into all of the major banks (whether they needed it or not, to protect the banking industry in general), and to purchase Toxic Assets that the issuing banks could not remarket to the secondary markets (because those markets no longer existed) so those major banks would not fail creating a severe crisis in the confidence of all banks, the mortgage markets, the stock market on and on and on.

What it became, along with the FED, was a complete replacement of the secondary market for most, if not all, mortgage backed securities.

There are obviously many more complex components to the bill, such as the bailout of GM etc.

At times we all experience some sort of adversity in our lifetime. It can be mild and relatively easy to overcome,or it can be really tough and sometimes even lifechanging. You cannot allow yourself to be overwhelmed by it. You can hurt so badly inside that becoming overwhelmed can easily happen. There is only one force left when that happens……the force is GOD. I believe that he helped me survive. When I lost my wife, I could not think anymore,or even do normal things. The pain inside of me was really severe. I owned a business then ,and very nearly lost it all because I couldn’t function very well long after my wife’s demise. Slowly though I somehow managed to get back up. I personally believe that it was dierect intervention from God that helped me recover . From that time on I was a believer in GOD.

  26. Anyone who has been involved with the administration of a business knows that organised labor has been one of the detrimental forces against American business. Primarily the owner ventures into business to EARN a PROFIT. Sadly the demands fro trade union people NEVER ends, and it is people like Andy Stern who stands behind people who often even refuse to DO NOTHING to earn their wage, or continue to demand MORE….MORE….MORE. They cannot seem to understand that the business must earn a profit, or there is NO REASON for the business operator to stay in business. Secondly there must be a profit if there is to be additional jobs generated. In the case of unions like SEIU all they do is create adverse costs against busineass which sooner or later leads to the downward deterioration of the monetary health of business in general.

  34. Fernley Girl @ 10:26 am | something crazy is going on here in FL, not quite sure what yet. One of my neighbors has been seeking a loan modification for months, every time she got going-the bank, lender could not find the paperwork???No one seems to have paperwork-I saw a couple of news bits on TV, folks are doing the smart thing and hiring lawyers. A couple of definite scams going on-renting a foreclosed house that the person does not own and running off with the deposit and this one was committed by an ex-cop. Last night on the news they said these bank moratoriums would be 2 months, so potential buyers are in a quandary. I’m trying to figure this mess out myself-I’m from Illinois I never heard of anything like this. Stupidity, incompetence or criminal activities-not sure yet-possible combination of all three.

The media coverage was less than stellar, with the Chicago Sun-Times questioning whether Emanuel meets the residency requirement and The New York Times spotlighting a photo of a voter placing her hand back inside her jacket when he reached out for a handshake.

  39. Free Speech @ 5:17 pm | I know FL, NV, CA-got hit hard in this mess, starting approx 2005-much, at least here in FL was pure speculation-house “values” were doubling, tripling, quadrupling over night. My neighbor across the street wanted to sell his house for $600,000.00 I said what are you going to replace it with another 600 G residence? The taxes on his house are low since he bought it low, but FL taxes are based on millage (sale price) so the new taxes would have been $10,000.00 as opposed to his $1,500.00 He decided to hang on and not sell. Wise move-another neighbor and I were discussing the mess–she said in some neighborhood you can’t even discuss taxes-unknown to the new buyers, the first wave of tax bills enlightened many people to the “doom” to come. I don’t know about other states but it sure was crazy here in FL.

  48. http://theintelhub.com/2010/10/04/tyrannys-last-stand-the-tipping-point-is-here/

In Malcolm Gladwell’s provocative book The Tipping Point, he gives many examples of how seemingly small, insignificant decisions can radiate to cause an eventual wave of change that overtakes the prevailing modes of behavior. He clearly extrapolates how the silent leaders of society — not the ones on TV, or the ones we appoint — set trends through their singular ability to recognize an underlying need, or change of direction… I believe there are signs that The Tipping Point for free humanity has been reached; from here on out, there will be an open dialogue between the forces of tyranny and the forces of freedom.

The idea that in order to recognize tyranny, you must force it to act as such is very much the case right now. Humanity is rebelling worldwide to the dictates of Elite overlords and petty bureaucrats alike. The small, silent statements of resistance have reached a classic tipping point. Whether it is tax rebellion, free speech, freedom of religion… or the freedom to grow one’s own food in peace, the small defeats and victories have become a sustained chorus of resistance to ever-increasing forces of control.

  49. Michelle, I don’t know if you have been following this thing or not. Forgive me, if I am being redundant

When real estate was booming, you know all the subprimes started popping up (toxic assets), so Wall Street started bundling them with good mortgages and selling off the bundles. Then enters MERS, an electronic mortgage filing systerm. Allegedly, MERS was a scam in a way. I think MERS was listed as the mortgage holder, therefore screwed the states, counties, cities of multiple filing fees, whenever ownership changed hands (among other things). Allegedly, the banks used MERS kind of like a “front man”. Now, when banks are trying to foreclose (since MERS is listed as the original lender), the courts are telling the banks they have no standing because they can’t physically produce the actual documents. (the were bundled off and sold many times)
Up until now, it appears, thousands of homes have already been illegally foreclosed on and then some of them have been resold. The problem is in those certain instances, the banks never could legally foreclose (for lack of proof of ownership) and then illegally re-sold them. What a nightmare! Now, the title companies are getting involved because they gave clear title when perhaps there wasn’t any.

I am just beginning to follow all of this mess and may not be completely accurate, but I think so far, I’ve got it right. Again, I am not here that often and not sure if this has already been covered. I apologize if I have wasted time giving old news.

I was hearing rumblings by people maybe 3-4 months ago, lots of Mortgage Modification companies operating here in FL, but within the last month I have been hearing more and more people saying, they (lenders) can’t find the paperwork???? Somewhat like the folks in LA facing BP-having to refill out the paperwork numerous times-only to have it get lost, stalled, denied for one piece of paper-Stalling tactics, so screwed up that the lenders have to figure the mess out themselves??? Totally creepy, did someone accidentally uncover more fraud?? I just don’t know, but too many disconnected people are singing the same tune. I’m glad they are going to lawyers, because they sure are getting the run around. One thing for sure about 2 years ago they sure were hot to foreclose on houses, and lots of them and lenders would hear nothing re: loan modification and the people begged.

Mohamed was a dysfunctional warrior/murderer/pedophile who took that 9 year old the Pastor mentioned at the age of 6 but waited until she was 9 to consummate his marriage to her. Mohamed being dysfunctional could only write dysfunctional ideas which lead to entire nation of dysfunctional people. Now they are attempting to Islamize the entire western world through infiltration, taqiya, violence, vulgar protests, and politics all under the guise that it is a religion and they have the right to practice their own religion. Islam is NOT A RELIGION AND PEOPLE MUST ACKNOWLEDGE THIS SIMPLE FACT BEFORE THEY BECOME VICTIMS OF ISLAMIC VIOLENCE.

It was for a multitude of reasons, but the two most simple being so the major banks wouldn’t exceed their liquidity requirements because the secondary markets were frozen and they had no place to sell their loans. Toxic Assets were not loans where the customers could not pay (although many couldn’t), they were loans that the banks were incapable of selling on the secondary markets.

It’s time to challenge the inept status quo that is currently running things. People are scared – hell, I’m a bit scared myself. But enough is enough – this political train has got to get back on its tracks. And I’ll tell you this, my talking to you, and your little blog stories, is already helping. More people are ready to talk. It’s already happening. And more is coming. The media won’t be able to ignore it anymore. This administration, the leadership in Congress, they need to account for how they have totally mishandled the responsibilities given to them. That accounting is coming soon enough in November – we are going to get what we deserve. But I am still hopeful it is not too late to save 2012.

  74. So how exactly has President Obama failed to help members of his own party? (Leans forward – clearly agitated.) Loyalty – loyalty – loyalty. This White House doesn’t give a damn for the concept of loyalty, dedication, sincerity. This White House is the most self-centered, arrogant, and ignorant…they just don’t care to know what they are doing. And when they do it – consequences mean nothing to them. NOTHING. And that is not to say it’s all bad at the White House. There are some very bright people working there. But you know what, those people have been marginalized, pushed aside, and are now leaving. You watch – the exodus from this White House will prove to be of historical proportions.

    Shultz to Obama: ‘You’re

    Washington Times, by Ben Birnbaum

Reagan-era Secretary of State George Shultz blasted President Obama Monday night for his scheduled July 2011 date to begin withdrawing U.S. forces from Afghanistan. Mr. Shultz, 89, made the unusually blunt remarks at a packed dinner for the International Republican Institute (Snip) “You’re out of your mind,” he said at a question-and-answer forum, when asked his opinion of the president’s drawdown date. “How can you say that ‘if I haven’t won by six or nine months from now, I’m leaving’?”
    Comments:
0bama is a malignant narcissist. Therefore even if things look like a failure he will declare them a success and move on because he has a schedule. Anyone who thinks we can have a world without nuclear weapons ignores the reality of nations like Pakistan, China, N Korea and Iran. They can’t be trusted and the nuclear genie of nuclear weapons knowledge can never be corked in a bottle. A world without nuclear weapons could only happen if something bigger and even more destructive came about

I do not believe one man or one group has the only answer but through God and seeking the higher path to elivate man we will only do good / we will make mistakes but our journey is not selfishly motivated . I do not trust in mankind – not for answers to my happiness in this world ….my faith leads me in the correct direction .

Former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel’s first day on the campaign trail in the Chicago mayoral race didn’t exactly go as planned.

Under a glaring national media spotlight, Emanuel was seen getting blown off by commuters during a stop at a train station and caught dousing his hands with sanitizer immediately after greeting Chicagoans at another campaign event.

The media coverage was less than stellar, with the Chicago Sun-Times questioning whether Emanuel meets the residency requirement and The New York Times spotlighting a photo of a voter placing her hand back inside her jacket when he reached out for a handshake.

I don’t know about other states but it sure was crazy here in FL.

    http://theintelhub.com/2010/10/04/tyrannys-last-stand-the-tipping-point-is-here/

Free Speech @ 8:18 pm | I agree with some of the material, but until the Dems realize their major problem is Obama and his loony ideas, followed by Pelosi/Reid/DNC and their anti-American agenda the Democrat party needs to lose and lose big. Obama is far too distrusted to run again-he is an incompetent, corrupt idiot-probably why they keep reiterating “intelligent”-as if people don’t see and hear the Mouth (boring) in action, no brains, no wit, no talent. The DNC needs to lose in 2012 also, until the party is purged of all Obama type scoundrels. We understand a lot of “good” Dems will be losing their jobs come Nov-welcome to America you have a lot of good company. They could have stood up to Obama, they did not-the people had to do it via the Tea Party, and they were elected to represent WE THE PEOPLE. Live and learn and avoid this Democrat party like the plague.

IMHO, the only thing that could revive the dem party now would be for the dems to impeach and remove bo during the lame duck session and then lead the way with indictments, prosecutions and the ultimate imprisonment of bo.

I plan to vote a straight repub ticket, not that I am enamored with the repubs but I am outraged by bo.

Free Speech @ 9:27 pm | I can understand a/the creep being a usurper, what I can’t understand is enablers going along with all of his nefarious scams-they can’t all be deaf, dumb and blind, unconscious. The DNC should congratulate itself on one thing-they created the Tea Party for that I thank them.
    ======================================
Everything bo’s regime has done has been counterproductive. sunstein’s obot operation was a complete failure.

  86. My vote on November 2 will be against these people.

Proud Socialists March at Left-Wing Protest in DC

  87. I wish I could vote for Col Allen West myself, but I live in Pensacola, not his district. I will be voting for Mark Rubio, and Rick Scott. Being a Republican, I will vote for the Republicans. My First Election was the Reagan Election. Republicans just seem to have more common sense. (Not all of them though). I still think that John McShame (Michael Savage Quote), Purposely ran his campaign against Obama to loose. I still think Sarah Palin figured that out and went Rogue.

  88. I still hope all those Czars Obama put in place aren’t really a “Shadow Government” to take place of our own Government. That would be Horrible.

  89. Although I am not personally opposed to gambling, poker etc. On line or otherwise… Another tax and spend liberal Democrat family avoiding taxes..

  90. Does anyone here plan on getting Michael Savage’s new Book “Trickle Up Poverty”?

I’ve thought about it Emudude. I really enjoy Savage…

I hate to break it to you Emu, but that’s exactly what those Czar’s are (shadow government). Outside of the scrutiny of the Congress…using the power of the executive branch to trample all over the U.S. Constitution…

  93. The Islamic flag will fly over the WH,when the DRUGGED, and otherwise MENTALLY INDIGENT AMERICANS allow it to happen. It could and potentially might actually happen, unless our young college grads start getting their heads on straight. Sadly a very large percentage of our young college grads think that the Islamic way of life is OK. It is as though they think “Oh well I don’t have time for all of that”.In addition a very large percentage of blacks sympathasize with the Islamic way of life.as well. So it would seem that somebody might consider making turbans ,and/ or burkas, by the truck load. If these people think the Islamic way of life is so great, then let those people experience it firsthand, and sell them the necessities with which to PRACTICE THEIR NEWFOUND way of life. Lets see if they enjoy it in REALITY. It is one thing to THINK something is REALLY great, but to really test it one should LIVE IT. I can hear them whining now.

  94. Emudude @ 10:22 pm |
When you think about it logically how can a traitor trust a traitor? I mean those under him know he’s a traitor, so who can trust who, them being persons of their word and all. Betrayed oaths etc.? Finest gathering of demons since Beelzebub dined alone.

  95. Better still for those who think the Islamic way of life is so great lets buy each and every one of them a ONE WAY ticket to Afghanistan, or YEMEN. That would provide the proper Geographical setting, and environment in which to practice their great ISLAMIC belief.

  96. Boxer hires day laborers to protest Fiorina. I wouldn’t be surprised if half the crowd at the One Nation rally weren paid too… The Democrat party in our country is absolutely surreal right now. Don’t they know that people are paying attention. Listen to the gal at the end of the video..she should be in every campaign commercial all across the country.

I agree Sir William. Old Salt is a national treasure. I am proud to be associated with him.

  98. Good night all. It was like taking off a tight pair of shoes today. Let’s keep our eye on the ball and not get distracted.

  99. Paxson, Sir William……………………………………….
The spirit of comraderie is the same power which binds our military personell as a cohesive fighting force. We are a “Band of Brothers”within this spirit. I personally think that we also are facing a true enemy of our people and such comraderie must prevail between ALL of us as well, or we will be roundly defeated. While I very much appreciate the freindship of everyone on this blog, it is at the same time demonstrative of what has been occuring between a few of our comrades. This has been destructive towards the comraderie of the blog. While I am not sure ,I tend to think that it was a deliberate attempt to destroy the blog One of the key elements in defeating an enemy lies in destroying his comraderie with his fellow soldiers. It translates to old addage “Divide, and Conquer.”
