Glenn Beck interview by New York Times, Weaknesses and failures, Glenn call me

“Why has Obama, for over 2 years, employed numerous private and government attorneys to avoid presenting a legitimate birth certificate and college records?”…Citizen Wells and millions of concerned Americans

Glenn Beck is a likeable guy. I am not here to bash Glenn Beck, but to wake him up out of a stupor of ignorance or arrogance.

From the New York Times September 29, 2010.

“Glenn Beck was sprawled out on his office couch a couple of weeks ago, taking — as self-helpers like to say — an inventory. “I think what the country is going through right now is, in a way, what I went through with my alcoholism,” he told me. “You can either live or die. You have a choice.” Beck, who is 46, was in the Midtown Manhattan offices of his production company, Mercury Radio Arts, which is named for Mercury Theater, the company created by Orson Welles. He had just finished his three-hour syndicated radio show and was a few hours away from his television show. It was a Wednesday afternoon in the middle of September, and Beck had just returned from a week’s vacation in the Grand Tetons followed by a quick hop to Anchorage, where he and Sarah Palin appeared at an event on Sept. 11.”

“WHILE THE RIGHT has traditionally responded to its aggrieved sense of alienation with anger, Beck is not particularly angry. He seems sorrowful; his prevailing message is umbrage born of self-taught wisdom. He is more agonized than mad. He is post-angry.

Beck rarely speaks with the squinty-eyed certainty or smugness of Rush Limbaugh or his fellow Fox News hosts Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity. He often changes his mind or nakedly contradicts himself. “When you listen and watch me, it’s where I am in my thinking in the moment,” Beck told me. “I’m trying to figure it out as I go.” He will sometimes stop midsentence and recognize that something he is about to say could be misunderstood and could cause him trouble. Then, more often than not, he will say it anyway.

In the middle of his analogy to me about his own personal crash and the country’s need to heal itself, Beck looked at his publicist with a flash of alarm about how I might construe what he was saying. “He is going to write a story that I believe the whole country is alcoholics,” he said. And then he went on to essentially compare his “Restoring Honor” pageant at the Lincoln Memorial to a large-scale A.A. meeting. “When I bottomed out, I couldn’t put it back together myself,” Beck told me. “I could do all the hard work. I could do the 12 steps. But I needed like-minded people around me.”

He needed support, just as responsible Americans need it now to reinforce the principles and values that the founders instilled and that, he says, have since decayed. “You need people to be able to reach out and connect and say, ‘Let me help hold you when you’re stumbling, and you hold me when I’m stumbling, because what we’re going through now is a storm of confusion.’ ” Fans approach Beck and give him hugs. Do people feel they can hug Limbaugh?”

“Beck is constantly admitting his weaknesses and failures, which he wields as both a crutch and a shield. “Maybe Glenn’s transparency is what keeps him out of trouble,” says Robert Beath, Beck’s drama teacher at Sehome High School in Bellingham, Wash. Beath, who was fond of Beck as a teenager, said Beck appears to now think that his revelations grant him license. “When he says, ‘I am not perfect,’ he seems to escape accountability for his various points of view. Yet he expects others to be accountable for their point of view without seeming to allow them the ‘I am not perfect’ exception.””

Glenn Beck is not perfect, nor are any of us. It is the human condition. However, when you make a mistake, admit it, humble yourself. Glenn, deciding not to cover the Obama eligibility issues is bad enough. It is your decision. However, to criticize and belittle those questioning Obama’s eligibility, including many in the military, military officers such as LTC Terry Lakin and then not cover the Lakin court martial, that is unexcusable and un American.

Glenn Beck, admit your mistakes.

Glenn Beck, call me.

I hope he does CW, I really do. We all make mistakes, as you eloquently pointed out, I have made to many to count. Beck is bigger than me, he has managed to overcome problems and come out better on the back end, he can see things more clearly. He isn't angry, he is just sad for what has happened to a great country because of a few.
While sad, I still have some anger. I'm deeply troubled that people feel they can impose their will on others, spend other people's money and take from my family, while they lie to us. National Health care should have been a Constitutional Amendment, voted on by the people, not some political garbage that was passed. The Patriot Act, another long term infringement on our rights, should now have to be an amendment. Frankly, all entitlements should come to Amendment votes, to the American people.
I will for the first time in my life vote only one party candidates, on Nov 2, because the voting any other way will lead to more of the above. I sure hope the tea party can get more candidates in for 2012.

    Yes, Pete.
Many choices in life are between the lesser of evils.
I am not happy with either party.
How anyone can support the modern day Democrat party is beyond my comprehension.
Regardless of who we vote for, we must continue to let them know we are watching,
the US Constitution is the supreme law of the land and that we will vote their sorry ass
out if they do not listen.

  4. Good Morning! I am in support of Glenn Beck’s work concerning 99% of the issues. I’m with CW on the eligibility issue and Glenn is flat wrong for whatever reason. Zach

  5. Now is the time for the Constitutional Party. Both political parties have put this country into the most dangerous position in its’ history. Like Free Speech I am going to repeat myself-

    “Give this some thought.
Why are no Republican conservative talk show hosts(Glenn Beck, Rush etc.) mentioning the eligibility issue and in fact going along with the liberals in accusing us of being “nutcases” and “Birthers”? Read the following –

Thursday, March 13, 2008 (Notice the date)

SPECIAL ‘CLOSED SESSION’ OF U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES DISCUSSED A LOT MORE THAN THE PENDING SECURITY SURVEILLANCE PROVISIONS!

This was only the fourth time in 176 years that Congress has closed its doors to the public. What was it that they were discussing that they do NOT
    want us to know about?

I believe the most important discussion had to do with the eligibility of BOTH CANDIDATES. Both parties had questionable areas and time was of essence. BOTH PARTIES ARE IN THIS UP TO THEIR EYEBALLS.

    continued ..

    1. the imminent collapse of the U.S. economy to occur by September 2008,

    2. the imminent collapse of US federal government finances by February 2009,

    3. the possibility of Civil War inside the USA as a result of the collapse,

    4. advance round-ups of ‘insurgent U.S. citizens’ likely to move against the government,

    5. the detention of those rounded-up at ‘REX 84′ camps *(see Below) constructed throughout the USA,

    6. the possibility of retaliation against members of Congress for the collapses,

    7. the location of ‘safe facilities’ for members of Congress and their families to reside during expected massive civil unrest,

    8. the necessary and unavoidable merger of the United States with Canada (for its natural resources) and with Mexico (for its cheap labor pool),

I think the Tea Party has to morph itself into the Constitutional Party. Why the Constitutional Party ?- Because

3 – THE CONSTITUTIONAL PARTY IS THE LAW OF THE LAND

When you think about it logically how can a traitor trust a traitor? I mean those under him know he’s a traitor, so who can trust who, them being persons of their word and all. Betrayed oaths etc.? Finest gathering of demons since Beelzebub dined alone.

    Michelle,

You hit the nail on the head. bo’s cohorts can’t trust each other. bo & cohorts are faithless and truthless. Their world is based on nothing but lies. No group can sustain itself without faith. Ultimately a gathering of the faithless is bound to fail. Look at how quickly the obots fled from CW once they were outed.

We are beginning to take our Country back, but there is much work to be done. These faithless, truthless miscreants have infiltrated all levels of government from the County level to Washington. We will take our Country back one County at a time.

  9. Pete…………………………..
Regarding Glenn Beck; I have long ago arrived at the conclusion that he is FIRST AND FOREMOST, A PUBLIC PERSONALITY. As such he is employed by Rupert Murdoch for the primary purpose of PROMOTING Murdoch’s interests. To do this entails certain side, and or contractual agreements, which bind Mr.Beck within Murdoch’s set of rules. All of this said, it is clear that even if Glenn Beck wanted to delve into the NBC issue he has a set of rules to comply with, and that stops him cold in his tracks. If this is all accurate,it would seem to me that he would be one of the MOST TORTURED PEOPLE in broadcasting. Particularly if he IS genuinely interested in getting out the truth. So he tells what he can and approaches the destruction of the enemy via another road. If he can do severe damage to our enemy along the road that he has chosen then I cheer him on. After all having the enemy fighting on two fronts is far better than fighting him on one.

  10. Free Speech………………………..
I have been wondering if it would be beneficial to the Tea Party if they united with the Republicans, and Libertarians under the Banner of the Constitutional Party. It would seem that if this would occur it would take in the RIGHT,the CENTER, and to an extent defecting liberals. Or even if the Repubs, united with the Libertarians, and Constitutional Party they would still cover the essential ground.

  11. Free Speech…………………………………
After all the primary philosophy of everyone is CONSERVATIVE.

    ==========================================

Constitutional Party would be a good name for it. Both the dem and repub party brands have been damaged. The tom delay 2004 to 2006 congress badly damaged the repub party; and, of course, bo has ruined the dem party. There are certain dems that would never support a repub and vice versa. We need a new party that the majority of people who don’t like either of those 2 could support.

AP-GfK Poll: Working-class whites shun Dems

WASHINGTON (AP) – Desperate for jobs and cool toward President Barack Obama, working-class whites are flocking to Republicans, turning a group long wary of Democrats into an even bigger impediment to the party’s drive to keep control of Congress.

An Associated Press-GfK poll shows whites without four-year college degrees preferring GOP candidates by twice the margin of the last two elections, when Democrats made significant gains in the House and Senate. The poll, conducted last month, found this group favoring GOP hopefuls 58 percent to 36 percent – a whopping 22 percentage-point gap.

We have heavily documented the sickness that has been caused by BP and their use of the toxic dispersant known as Corexit. We have produced photographs, eye witness accounts[See the June/July archives of our radio show], and multiple blood tests. The problem is that every time we receive more evidence it doesn’t indicate that the crisis is beginning to get better, rather it indicates that it is much worse.

  20. http://theintelhub.com/2010/10/02/bp-sprays-residents-and-workers-with-corexit-teaches-students-that-dispersant-is-fine/

New revelations have surfaced that back up the early claims that dispersant was sprayed on the population. Multiple BP cleanup workers and residents have confirmed that they were indeed sprayed with Corexit. In early June we reported on the multiple calls we had received from concerned residents who were being hosed by dispersant yet most people just didn’t believe it. After four months of proof it has become an undeniable truth.

The Obama Administration IP Czar Victoria Espinel has been holding meetings with ISPs, registrars, payment processors and others in a bid to get them to block access to websites “dedicated to infringing activities”. However, as we have documented, the government deems such infringement to include political opinions which are antagonistic toward the state, leaving the door open for state censorship of free speech on the world wide web.

  22. Amy,

I happen to agree with you. Glen is now in Saudi hands as well as Murdock. Amazing how deep the Saudi’s Muslim base is entrenched in the U.S. they paid 10 million to Havard to “accept” Obama whom otherwise would not have qualified for such a university. Saudi “attempted” to bribe N.Y. Mayor Rudy G. Within a week after 9/11 for 10 million also if Rudy would “Blame” the U.S. as an “Inside” job.

Shortly thereafter, the 9/11 Truther Org was born, reflecting Exactly what the Saudi Prince had attempted to bribe Rudy with and employ him to blame the U.S. coincidence? I think not.

This is the same Prince that backed obama at Harvard, the Same Prince that attempted to bribe Rudy G, the same prince that backed obama during his election, the same prince that started the 9/11 Conspiracy buzz and the same Saudi prince that financially bought more stock ownership into the FOX Network and lastly, the Same Prince that touts and Brags how his influence on FOX News to reduce Muslim exposure to the world.

Since Obama and Murdock “bow down” to the Saudi Prince, will Glen Beck stand up in resistance? Nope.. America does not mean that much to Glenn.

    Just saying the obvious.

    http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/10/wilders-show-trial-views-fitna.html

Wilders argued on Monday that he has a right to freedom of speech and that his remarks were within the bounds of the law.

“I am a suspect here because I have expressed my opinion as a representative of the people,” Wilders told judges at the start of the trial.

“Formally I’m on trial here today, but with me, the freedom of expression of many, many Dutch people is also being judged,” he said, referring to more than 1.4 million voters who made his party the country’s third-largest in June elections….

The free world holds its breath as Geert Wilders stands before a corrupt Dutch court and ….dares with his silence to enforce the sharia (Islamic law) and subvert the blood and toil of centuries of years of progress. Free speech, free men – essential freedom hangs in the balance. The leftist liars can package this horror in any shade of ribbon they want. It is what it is, the west on trial.

    (AP) – 3 days ago
POINTE A LA HACHE, La. — A local official who emerged as a leading critic of efforts to clean up the oil spilled from BP’s well in the Gulf of Mexico has easily won re-election as president of his coastal Louisiana parish.
With all precincts reporting, Republican Billy Nungesser had 71 percent of the vote Saturday in Plaquemines Parish.
Democrat Amos Cormier received 22 percent and independent Benny Rousselle, a former Plaquemines president, had 6 percent.
Nungesser, 51, became a familiar figure in news reports after oil first touched the mainland April 29 near the mouth of the Mississippi River in Plaaquemines. He heavily criticized BP and federal officials for their efforts to clean up the oil. Plaquemines is heavily dependent on fishing and oyster harvesting, which were largely shut down after the spill.

    LONDON | Wed Oct 6, 2010 11:47am EDT

LONDON (Reuters) – Gold rose to record highs for a second day in a row on Wednesday as investors punished the dollar ahead of the Federal Reserve’s possible resumption of special measures to protect the flagging economy.

Palladium rallied to its highest level in over nine years, fueled by the prospects of strong growth in demand from the auto industry.

Gold has touched all-time highs in eight out of the last 10 trading sessions, fueled by the decline in the dollar, which is now at eight-month lows against the euro, which has profited from weakness in the U.S. currency and from the European Central Bank giving no hint that it could ease policy.

They will attempt to stimulate the economy by massive quantitative easing (QE), a process by which the Fed monetizes the debt of the federal government. This is one of the ways the Fed can expand money supply. Price inflation, they believe, will create economic activity by reducing the debt burden on borrowers, maintain asset values, improve credit, and create additional income from consumers. And, importantly, they believe it will prevent price deflation.”

Do you believe that you will always be able to run out to Wal-Mart or to the local supermarket and buy massive amounts of inexpensive food? If so, you might want to think again. During 2010, agricultural commodity prices have absolutely exploded. Nearly every single important agricultural commodity has seen a double digit percentage price increase. In fact, the S&P GSCI Agriculture Index recently surged to a fresh two year high. Now food producers and retailers are starting to pass those commodity price increases on to consumers.

the Democrat-controlled Congress has not passed a “patch” for the Alternative Minimum Tax. So now one out of every six U.S. taxpayers is going to be hit by the Alternative Minimum Tax. The taxpayers most likely to be affected are married couples, very large families, home owners and taxpayers in states that have high state and local taxes. The average tax increase that these taxpayers will be facing is going to be approximately $3,900 and most of them have no idea that it is coming. At a time when an increasing number of families is barely getting by, a tax increase of this magnitude is simply going to crush the American Dream for literally millions of families. Talk about a cruel surprise for tens of millions of Americans this upcoming tax season!

Media Ignore Threat of ‘Flag of Islam’ Flying over White House

According to Choudary, “Islam has a solution for all of the problems that mankind faces.”…You don’t need to read between the lines to know what he was talking about. That is, if you could find those lines anywhere. Our allegedly unbiased media have done almost nothing with the story. No network used the clip except ABC and that was just in its original program.

This story is a little old, but it serves as a tale of caution. You should all take the time to make certain your title & mortgage are in order. And, you should start asking around for a good RE attorney, just in case this happens to you or someone you know.

TUOLUMNE, Calif. — Nancy Willmes paid cash for her Tuolumne home in 2001. So she was quite surprised when Bank of America send her a notice of default on the property in February.

“I honestly felt like Bank of America was trying to steal my property,” Willmes said.

She contacted Bank of America to try to find out why the bank believed it could foreclose on property she had purchased outright.

Willmes has chain-of-ownership records, which show Bank of America had sold the property to Fannie Mae years earlier. Fannie Mae foreclosed on the previous owner, and Willmes purchased the property with cash from Fannie Mae.

But Willmes said Bank of America did not care about the documentation.

Zero & Co. is setting us up for a total collapse. The foreclosure fraud (paralyze the real estate/banking/lending industry), the biggest tax increase in US history (ObamaCare, AMT, and Bush tax cut expiration will reduce spendable income for everyone) , QE (printing fake money), major inflation (huge increases in the cost of food commodities is just the beginning) will create a perfect storm. Even if Congress would retain the Bush tax cuts we’ll still all have less income to spend next year, and everything will be more expensive. Guess MOOchelle will get her wish…..everyone will lose weight because no one will be able to afford to eat.

    ” Tickerguy’s Recommendation: Buy Guns

    Yes, I mean it.

We now have confirmed instances, including 911 calls, of banks hiring people to break into homes where the foreclosure has not yet taken place, and in some instances, they’re breaking into the wrong house. That’s illegal – until the bank has a court order giving them possession, they don’t have possession and they have no right to be there. ”

  47. Glenn Beck gives out the right information on what he chooses to cover, albeit in a bit of a sanctimonious fashion. Again, most of his work appears to have originated from New Zeal.

That being said, I can’t get passed his condescending attitude towards the eligibility issue. There is certainly an equal amount of evidence against the NBC, Hawaii’s obfuscation etc. etc. as the information that he puts out there on a nightly basis.

My problem with Beck is the fact that “butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth”, if you know what I mean. I hope that he carries on doing his part, but he is not the “end all be all” of our movement like they are trying to frame him as being.

  57. Philo,

There are in fact documented reports that prior to 9/11, many terroist muslim groups were under “investigation” for many, many years. 9/11 was a known result of over 6 years of planning under the nose of Democrate leader Clinton and carried out within 9 months of the new President Bush took office. Who to blame?

It was and is well known that Clinton was a Muslim Appeaser. The Kosovo invasion was an appeal to just that fact. Did the U.S. efforts (and redunant UN) in Kosovo to “save” the so called “Genocide” of muslims appease the Muslims “enough” not to further strike U.S. and Western targets? Of course not.

WASHINGTON — The White House blocked efforts by federal scientists to tell the public just how bad the Gulf oil spill could have been, according to a panel appointed by President Barack Obama to investigate the worst offshore oil spill in U.S. history.

University of South Florida oceanographer David Hollander, who was also at the St. Petersburg meeting of 150 scientists studying the oil flow on Wednesday, said he was surprised to find that the White House budget office gagged NOAA. He said public disclosure would have helped scientists to figure out what was going on.

“It would have been much better to know from a scientific point of view the reality,” he said in an interview with The Associated Press.

I think that we are both on the same page, but there are so many people out there whose sole purpose is to divide under the guise of “purity”. The long run goal needs to be to demand purity from our representatives, but in the short run we must remove the Democrats this year.

  81. Writing for Investor’s Business Daily, attorney Ernest Christian and economist Gary Robbins co-authored a July 30, 2010, column entitled “Will Washington’s Failures Lead To Second American Revolution?”

Christian and Robbins write, “People are asking, ‘Is the [federal] government doing us more harm than good? Should we change what it does and the way it does it?’

“Pruning the power of government begins with the imperial presidency.

“Too many overreaching laws give the president too much discretion to make too many open-ended rules controlling too many aspects of our lives. There’s no end to the harm an out-of-control president can do.”

    See the column at:

    http://tinyurl.com/dc-failures-2nd-rev

But it’s not just an imperial presidency we need to worry about; and it certainly did not originate with Barack Obama–although he has certainly accelerated the pace of this federal aggression. For all intents and purposes, the last four Presidencies have been imperialist in nature. In other words, we have endured at least 22 years of federal imperialism, encompassing both Republican and Democrat Presidential administrations. But it has also been Republican and Democrat congresses (along with a compliant federal judiciary) that have assisted and facilitated this out-of-control federal imperialism. In other words, folks: the entire federal system is now illegitimate and broken!

Here is a suggestion a reader brought in another thread to drive a wedge between Islam and the Leftist Democrats who support islamization and the Ground Zero Victory Mosque so much.
According to Islam, there is no such thing as evolution and Allah created man…and then made women as inferior to serve man.
    Muslims are creationists.
The Left ridicules and hates creationists.
    Yet the Left loves Islam.
Creationism could be a wedge to change this…if the Left knew those misunderstood murderous CAIR Bears didn’t cotton to Darwin all that much.
Just imagine the mental gymnastics these nuts will need to reconcile their blind support for the Ground Zero Victory Mosque with Islamic creationism.
How do we get this rolling and turn Islam and the Left against each other?

  99. With all due respect, Tom Tancredo is NOT what he is advertising himself as. He’s been in government in one form or another since before Reagan, as a Republican until the week before the primary.

Tom Tancredo couldn’t win in a fair 2-way race which is why he backed out last year. Dan Maes won the primary, not because a bunch of old republicans voted for him – he won because more people woke up and realized that we are sick and tired of career politicians ruining our nation and our state. Mr. Maes spent less than 10% of his Republican primary opponent, and won the primary.

Tancredo has been in politics for over 4 decades. Career politician! You’d think he’d be grateful for the very generous taxpayer’s contribution to his monthly retirement income. Guess he needs to collect another one to help offset the millions he lost in a ponzi scheme.

Tancredo has no executive experience. We don’t need another legislator or lawyer governing this state.

Tancredo voted for TARP – twice! In a sane world, bailing out banks and nationalizing the financial industry is NOT the act of a true constitutional conservative. (And yes, I said the same thing when Bush started the process.)

Tancredo was a non-vote for the auto bailout – essentially a yes. In a sane world, bailing out GM & Chrysler and nationalizing the auto industry is NOT the act of a true constitutional conservative. (And yes, I said the same thing when Bush started the process.)

Tancredo wants to legalize drugs so we can tax them and generate revenue for the state. Right. Will all the people growing pot in their basement please raise your hand so the government can tax you? Hello? Anyone?? Give me a break. Law enforcement costs will SKY ROCKET when they have to deal with rampant drug use and sales. In a sane world, advocating the free use of illicit drugs is NOT the act of a true constitutional conservative.

Tancredo promised no more than three terms, then ran for five. So much for a true citizen statesman. He lied.

Tancredo urged Tea Party participants to reform the Republican party from within, not to split the conservative vote by forming a third party. Hence, the win by Dan Maes. Then he went ahead and slid in at the last minute under a 3rd party ticket. He lied.

Tancredo not only hijacked the ACP, he’s been running radio ads as the “conservative independent” candidate. Tell that to Jason Clark, who IS the Independent candidate. Tancredo lied.

Tancredo got a deferment from the military for ‘mental health issues’. Either he lied then or he’s still dealing with mental health issues. Either way, he lied.

Funny how he keeps running around calling others a ‘con man’. Yo, Tom…Pot, meet Kettle. There’s only ONE con man in the governor’s race…you see him every time you look in a mirror.

  100. Will the real Tom Tancredo please stand up?

Americans are split when it comes to the Tea Party movement itself. Twenty-two percent hold a favorable view of the movement, while 21 percent hold an unfavorable view.
The majority – 56 percent – are undecided or don’t know. These numbers have not significantly moved since April.
Republicans are most likely to view the Tea Party movement favorably, with 41 percent expressing a favorable outlook. Twenty-three percent of independents view the movement favorably, along with just 4 percent of Democrats.

  104. ALL LINKS TO CARL CAMERON’S FOX NEWS STORY ON THE ISRAELI SPY RING HAVE BEEN REMOVED AT THE EXPRESS REQUEST OF FOX NEWS.
However, you can still view them at YouTube! pts. 1– pts. 4
Two hours before the attacks on the World Trade Towers, Odigo employees received a warning. Odigo has an office 2 blocks from the former location of the World Trade Towers.

Fox News, alone of all the media, actually ran the story as a four part broadcast, and put the story up on its web site. Then, without explanation, Fox News erased the story from their web site and have never mentioned it again. CNN followed by “Orwellizing” their report of the two hour advance warning of the WTC attacks sent to Odigo employees. But far more telling is the admission made by a US Official in part one of the Fox News report that hard evidence existed linking the events of 9/11 NOT TO ARAB MUSLIMS, but to some of the more than 200 ISRAELI SPIES arrested both before and after 9/11, but that this evidence had been CLASSIFIED.

“Investigators within the DEA, INS and FBI have all told Fox News that to pursue or even suggest Israeli spying … is considered career suicide.”

    Ooops!!

Whoah, Katie…You have a lot of emotional investment into this so I’m not going to debate with you about it, but I’m voting Tancredo. Maes does nothing for me….I’ve followed him, looked into a few things and I don’t like what I see. Maes is unelectable in the State of Colorado at this point. Tancredo was my Congressman for years, and although he does have a few flaws, he is better than Maes and certainly better than Hickenlooper. Tancredo is the epitomy of the TEA Party movement.

With respect to TARP, you should look into what it was all about. I can go either way on whether or not it should have been passed. TARP was a very different animal than the stimulus bill and I don’t fault any congressperson who voted for it at the time, given the information that they were looking at.

  106. Gianni and Army DAV,

I have been having problems getting to thepostemail.com also.
Seems I get a half fast partial word press website with a
    statment st the bottom about
“9 attempts in 7 days to access have been blocked for bad behavior”
    So WTF with that?
    Messages to staff unanswered.

  107. What killed Maes for me was the whole Freda Poundstone flap. She was a huge Maes supporter and has been in the Republican party for years. Maes borrowed $300 cash from her to make his mortgage payment. When things started to disintegrate in their relationship, Maes said that he didn’t “know what the $300 CASH was for”. Then he said it was a campaign donation, but he never claimed it in his reports. Poundstone is a lifelong politico and would not donate cash. Then to top things off, he slid an “unsigned” check into her purse at a later date to return the money. Bottom line, the whole thing was wierd. Just like when he was dismissed from the police force in Kansas, claiming that he was “working undercover” for the FBI and got “too close” to the criminals. Turned out it wasn’t true and that the “criminal” was his brother in law. Then he claimed to be a big time businessman and his personal tax returns showed him barely above the poverty line.

We all have our choices and I don’t want to see Hickenlooper elected, but Maes is unelectable.

  111. I was thinking about Kindra and the folks in the Gulf all day, Kindra’s wound was horrible-but I’m glad she is using “natural cures”. Then I remembered about tea tree oil, I have used it-does not burn your skin as bad as many other things and it covers most of the issues the Gulf Coast people are facing. The Gulf Coast people also need the lightest cottons they can find-and wear shirts and long pants until things get better. I don’t know how Kindra could wear jeans, little too rough hitting her wounds.

Tea tree oil, or melaleuca oil, is a pale yellow colour to nearly clear hydrophobic essential oil with a fresh camphoraceous odor.[1] It is taken from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia, which is native to the northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia. Tea tree oil should not be confused with tea oil, the sweet seasoning and cooking oil from pressed seeds of the tea plant Camellia sinensis (beverage tea), or the tea oil plant Camellia oleifera.
Tea tree oil has beneficial medical properties when applied topically, including antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral action,[2] and is also believed to have beneficial cosmetic properties.[citation needed] Tea tree oil is usually used diluted, as reactions are common with pure tea tree oil, but it can also cause irritation for some people when diluted. Tea tree oil is toxic when taken internally, and so should never be added to food or drinks.
Tea tree oil has strong activity against Staphylococcus aureus, including MRSA.[3] When used at 5% concentration, it has not been shown to cause drug resistance; however, some resistance occurs at lower concentrations such as 0.5%.[4]
