The Jobless Claims report was just announced this morning, July 15, 2010. Stuart Varney was just on Fox News speaking about the lies being told by the Obama Administration about jobs created. Varney, as always, cut through the Orwellian crap. Here is a recent video of Varney at work.

“In the week ending July 10, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 429,000, a decrease of 29,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 458,000. The 4-week moving average was 455,250, a decrease of 11,750 from the previous week’s revised average of 467,000.”
“The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending July 3 was 4,681,000, an increase of 247,000 from the preceding week’s revised level of 4,434,000. The 4-week moving average was 4,581,250, an increase of 22,000 from the preceding week’s revised average of 4,559,250. ”

A word of advice: Stay away from federal law when attempting to discern the power of CGJ. The feds have emasculated the citizens power with rule six.
The states still uphold and encourage CGJ.
In many states governmental lawyers are not only NOT welcome in Grand Jury sessions, they are actually banned by law from any participation in Grand Jury sessions. Take Virginia, for example. The mere presence of a lawyer representing the government will invalidate any decision of a Grand Jury. Without the dramatic rhetoric, see how the State of Virginia explains the Grand Jury’s relationship to any such attorneys. “To keep the Grand Jury free from any pressure from the State, Virginia makes it illegal for any attorney representing the State to appear before the Grand Jury, except as a witness. Like the one I handed a 3 page questionnaire to and let him sit in his car filling out while I ran errands and had lunch( 2 hours) and upon him not being able to complete the form, let him leave after I informed him I pleaded silence, my first amendment right, and the only information he would get from me was the age and sex of the 2 residents in the house??

We have a slight improvement in hosesty quotients in the UK Citizen Wells. The new ConDem coalition are at least talking about the numbers out of work and the numbers on short time rather than “claimants.”
And they are making noises about cutting departmental budgets that indicate they understand paying someone to sit in a government office doing nothing costs more than paying someone to sit at home doing nothing.
Now all we have to do is find a way to create some jobs.
