Major Nidal Hasan, the Muslim shooter at Fort Hood, apparently was in attendance at the Homeland Security Policy Institute, Presidential Transition Task Force. From the Task Force report.
“Initiated by HSPI’s Steering Committee in Spring 2008, the Task Force sought to further policy discussions of the top strategic priorities in the area of security in order to generate actionable recommendations, for the Administration taking office in January 2009, designed to effectively meet the most vexing challenges the United States faces today.”
Here are some exerpts from the report.
“The nation is in the midst of a crossroads in its consideration of security policy. A coherent strategy to address 21st century threats to the United States, one that treats national and homeland security as a seamless whole, has yet to emerge. Washington is now marked by a new Administration, a new tone, and a new space – offering a rare opportunity to catch our collective breath, to think creatively and anew about the most vexing challenges this country faces, and to put the most powerful of those reasoned ideas into action.”
“The Task Force held internal deliberations, which included a number of briefings from subject-matter experts at the forefront of their fields.1 From these discussions and debates, four strategic priorities emerged that serve to inform the new Administration:
• development and implementation of a proactive security strategy at the federal level that integrates international and domestic aspects of security, is founded upon the concepts of resilience, and is effectively resourced;
• enhancement of a national approach to preparedness and response through the development of a risk-based homeland security doctrine that effectively draws upon and coordinates all available assets (governments, the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, and the public);
• realistic public discussion of the threats the nation faces and constructive engagement of the American public in preparedness and response efforts; and
• re-invigoration of the United States’ role in the world, through a recognition that our security and that of our allies depends upon the stability and engagement of other nations.”
“Findings
• The US has adopted reactive rather than proactive strategic approaches to homeland security and national security.
• The US has not built sufficient resilience into its strategic security posture.
• Since 2003, homeland security and national security policy have been treated as separate and distinct enterprises.
• The budgeting process for homeland security investment priorities is opaque and oriented towards the short-term.”
“Recommendations
The President should:
• develop homeland security doctrine that includes a multi-layered approach to threat response—utilizing all aspects of the federal government, to include homeland and national security entities—to improve regional capability;
• incorporate anti-crime and counterterrorism planning, “intelligence-led policing,” and all-hazards preparedness into preparedness planning;
• utilize and foster State and local law enforcement intelligence relationships with DHS via fusion centers;
• continue incorporating the National Guard into Northern Command’s mission; and
• encourage the formulation of strategic relationships with academia and the private sector at the national and regional levels to inform security policy.”
“Recommendations
The President should:
• employ a strategy that amplifies voices within the Muslim world that seek to counter radicalization and recruitment, and that exercises care regarding the use of lexicon;
• foster respect for and adherence to international law in the form of longstanding, fundamental and widely accepted norms; and
• engage productively with international organizations and institutions to build security abroad”
“Crowley specified, saying it was imperative for the next ad-ministration to practice transparency and the rule of law, which means closing Guantanamo Bay. HSPI Director Frank Cilluffo went further, stating that we ought to abandon the label “Global War on Terror”, which has the effect of elevating our adversaries and isolating our allies. In response, Crowley agreed and suggested the British term, “struggle against violent extremism,” as a more viable alternative.”

I think you’re referring to the Woodland developments where Rezko and Obama were slumlords — a horrifying story of community neglect.
But this is what one needs to do with people like Obama. You’ll be closer to the truth if you reverse his statements.
So for example:
community organizing = community neglect
redistribution of wealth = eliminating the wealth
transparency = deceit
On that basis Obama has denied discussing any development with Rezko. One can sue of course,and the net effect might be to expose yet again another lie by Obama. As for the community members, I’m afraid they would left empty handed.

Wow, this takes me back to my ‘white powder days!’

Look, in the Greek, kamelon is translated as camel.
In the Aramaic, kamel is rope.
This verse should read, which it makes sense in the translation:
Mat 19:24 And again I say to you, It is easier for a ROPE to pass through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of eloah (meaning kingdom of Yahweh).

We’ve always been taught a lot of things, but does this mean they are truth? No! It should be obvious by our world condition now. Sorry, that’s the truth, just had to say it. And we’ve been taught many “traditions” that are unscriptural too, or shall I say, the lies we inherited from our fathers.
I use an Interlinear Bible, Jay P. Green Hebrew-Greek-Interlinear, plus another interlinear in the Greek for the NT, and then you have to do comparisons in the Hebrew NT, what we have available. I do have a Hebrew Gospel of Matthew, then a Hebrew Book of Hebrews, which BTW, has Yahweh for the father’s name in the Hebrew and Yahushua for the messiah’s name. Well, which some of the ante-Nicean father’s testified to was his name, having the same name as Joshua (Yahushua) son of Nun. Then I also have access to a massive library where we have our Bible studies at from a historian/author who has like a huge library that is loaded with ancient works, much research materials that would just boggle your mind. It does boggle my mind anyway. He reads Greek pretty good, is good at Hebrew and reads some Latin and what he needs read for a book, he sends off to scholars in that language, be it Egyptian or whatever.
Now I struggle at the Greek, but he will give me help. Hebrew, well, I know a bit more about except for the vowel pointing, which was added much later, 6 C.E., I think, and is basically a lie to begin with. I mean, I have other friends who have taken Hebrew classes and testified to this themselves when they had to go to Israel for archaeological digging. They would be the first to tell you that the vowel coding is completely unnecessary and is a lie.

I was looking at stuff that he had one day when I was there helping him find something, or trying to help him, and I picked some stuff up and said, How do you read this? I felt really humbled, but he does it and has been trained to do it and is a walking library in himself. Anyway, we’ve been studying with them, I guess, since 1993. I ran across a book that he had written from another friend, didn’t know him, and found out where he was. It’s been a long time now and we’re all getting old, well, except for the young ones.

True story: Back in the day when I was an airline rat, the hijackings started, Don’t know what it was, but I seemed to get all the calls that there was a bomb on the plane.
From there, it escalated to physical takeovers of planes with weapons, so in a meeting one day a supervisor suggested that we have either a plant or one of the female crew on each transatlantic flight who was willing to strip buck naked to prevent the plane from being hijacked. They don’t like naked women, either, because we’re chattel.

From all the news reports it appears this Major is a career military man and that in his current position for less than a year and was not going well. He did not want to be deployed and in fact wanted out of the Army, so he paid back his military student loans and hired an attorney.
The reason may have been that he was being harassed and called names like “camel jockey ”. I guess all that sensitivity training for those with bigotry tendencies are all for not. (Can training real change the way you were brought up?)
Another reason is called PTSD by proxy, the stress of treating PTSD in other soldiers make you go a little crazy yourself. Its even more stressful because most of the higher ranks don’t even believe in such thing as PTSD. Their denial prompts them to tell suffering soldiers to “drink it off.” Some civilians in the defense dept feel the same way no doubt IMO, it’s why hardly anything is mentioned of PTSD until one of these violent episodes occurs. These people see PTSD as a cop-out or an excuse. First we need to have an understanding that PTSD actually is real before we can ever hope to help treat it (does anyone believe that being shot at or killing your fellow man is not going to affect you in some way either then or in the future?). I guess with the high soldier suicide rate before and after deployment kinda takes care of the complaints from coming in (so those who said he should have just killed himself, well that’s already happening ). What real ticked me off when I heard that the military was trying to say that some soldiers coming back from this war with PTSD or other psychological disorders had “Pre-Existing Conditions” and that the military would not pay to treat them, I think it has been corrected but what a bunch of asses they break you and don’t want to pay.
The final issue is why does the military want to keep people in their ranks that no longer want to be there is it just sheer number? I mean is it ten percent, twenty percent. Is it that it is the only contract in the US that you can’t get out of unless to kill yourself or kill your fellow soldiers? It does not make any sense to me.
I guess the Major could just be another wacko like Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nicholas, of course McVeigh was executed and apparently because Nicholas became a Christian he received a life sentenced. I real think if he gets that far the Major will get the former and not in a million years the latter.
This is so messed up, hopefully they will make some changes that make sense.
To keep them off the airplanes, spray all tickets with pig fat and use it as a air spray inside the aircraft.
To keep them in jail, coat all doors and door knobs with pig fat.

Don, I would love to find the answer to this question. Actually I had forgotten about those cops. I believe they were fired and then probably sent to an island somewhere with no electricity nor communication devices.

A Prayer of thanks to all veterans , all soldiers who sacrifice themselves and their families to protect our freedoms and especially in remembrance of my husbands father , my childrens grandfather – who died last year this time – a WWII Veteran who came on the beaches of Normandy the day after the ravage – his last days he suffered from dementia , his whole life he never spoke of that war but as he developed a retreat of the mind he began to relive outloud the obvious devastation he experienced . I pray his soul and all those of that great generation are at peace in the next life and Thank you from the bottom of our souls – you are missed . God Bless you all and God Bless America.
