“Barack Obama is endangering the children of the US and now our troops. Where is the outrage?”…Citizen Wells

“You can see that these doctors, who are highly trained people, got themselves infected,”
“So sending troops into an area, if they’re dealing one-on-one with a patient, they’re not going to be able to protect themselves very well. It’s not easy to [prevent transmission], because you get tired and you get careless and you make some simple mistakes. All it takes is one virus particle.”…Dr. Lee Hieb, former president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons

“Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.”…George Orwell, “1984″

All it takes is one mistake, one person diagnosed too late, in the middle of cold flu season, with enough contact with others.

From Bloomberg October 16, 2014.

“U.S. Ebola Cases May Exceed Two Dozen by November, Researchers Say”

“There could be as many as two dozen people in the U.S. infected with Ebola by the end of the month, according to researchers tracking the virus with a computer model.

The actual number probably will be far smaller and limited to a couple of airline passengers who enter the country already infected without showing symptoms, and the health workers who care for them, said Alessandro Vespignani, a Northeastern University professor who runs computer simulations of infectious disease outbreaks. The two newly infected nurses in Dallas don’t change the numbers because they were identified quickly and it’s unlikely they infected other people, he said.

The projections only run through October because it’s too difficult to model what will occur if the pace of the outbreak changes in WestAfrica, where more than 8,900 people have been infected and 4,500 have died, he said. If the outbreak isn’t contained, the numbers may rise significantly.”

““We have a worst-case scenario, and you don’t even want to know,” Vespignani said. “We could have widespread epidemics in other countries, maybe the Far East. That would be like a bad science fiction movie.”

The worst case would occur if Ebola acquires pandemic status and is no longer contained in West Africa, he said. It would be a catastrophic event, one Vespignani said he is confident won’t happen.”

  1. “The fabulous statistics continued to pour out of the telescreen. As compared with last year there was more food, more clothes, more houses, more furniture, more cooking-pots, more fuel, more ships, more helicopters, more books, more babies — more of everything except disease, crime, and insanity. Year by year and minute by minute, everybody and everything was whizzing rapidly upwards. “…George Orwell “1984”

  2. As well as George Orwell, we have another writer, Tom Clancy that RMinNC was mentioning in the previous blog. I don’t know how many of you may have read his book, EXECUTIVE ORDERS, published in 1996, but the book begins with a 747 doing a suicide crash into the Capitol, killing most of the legislative and judicial branch members and the President, leaving a newly installed VP in charge, his hero character, Jack Ryan. As the story line progresses, the Ebola virus is launched as a type of bio warfare against the US by a Middle Eastern terrorist leader. This terrorist leader starts a movement to establish an Islamic state called the UIR, United Islamic Republic, which threatens Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Middle East. I checked out the book–one I hadn’t read–and have read the first 50 pages already. It is mind boggling. (Clancy’s a good writer.) The first pages of the suicide air flight crashing into DC and the aftermath are close to 911. Obviously our capitol was one of the targets on that day as in this book. (It is a Japanese airline in the book–haven’t read far enough to see how it was hijacked.)

Okay, well, some writers, like Orwell and Clancy, are gifted with a kind of creative prescience. Suicide airliner attack, rise of a Jihadist movement threatening the entire Middle East, Ebola–that’s calling it pretty close.

LIke RMinNC, I truly wonder about Clancy’s early death as well. He was in his mid sixties (born in 47). Why is the cause of his death “undisclosed?” Like Joan Rivers, Andrew Brietbart and a number of other convenient deaths? (Another was Manning Marable, who had just completed a biography on Malcolm X. He was a Liberal professor. What did he stumble on? In an online interview he connected Malcolm X with Shia Islam before his assassination–that Malcolm saw himself in light of Hussein, the martyr-founder of Shia Islam. Isn’t Hussein Obama’s middle name? The name we weren’t supposed to say before the 2008 election?)

  3. One more thing about Manning Marable: His book is entitled MALCOLM X, A LIFE OF REINVENTION. Marable, a prof of African-American studies, was only 60 and died two days before his book was published in 2011. He died from “complications associated with pneumonia.” His book is 608 pages long. Maybe we should check that out too, eh?

Another interesting thing, too, about Clancy’s book, EXECUTIVE ORDERS, is the name of his President: Ryan, who was, in his book, VP. Didn’t we have a Ryan run as VP in 2012?. These kind of little “coincidences” are fascinating. (President Ryan, in the book, by the way, gets to his position due to his work in the CIA, advancing to National Security Advisor, etc., then selected to replace a VP who resigned due to scandal. Ryan then has to govern by “executive orders,” due to a mostly dead legislative branch, wiped out in the suicide airliner crash.)

  4. The irony with regard to Clancy: We have a President who is where he is because of work he did for the CIA. Many don’t want to believe this, but it is true. And he is governing by executive orders because we have a dead Congress, not because they are physcially dead but have no morale or spirit to stand up to him. And this President, instead of being opposed to the Jihadists, is actually helping to promote their advancement.

  7. Obama Has An Ebola Czar. She Re-Directed Federal Research Money to a Democrat Donor

You may be wondering why Barack Obama, with his propensity to name “czars” for every problem that ails us, has not named an Ebola Czar. The reason is…

  8. DEAM M……

Very good post on Tom Clancy and others….

I have read most of Clancy’s books and he had an “inside track” into the Pentagon…there is no doubt in my mind.

His writings about happenings and people were not accidental…he knew.

In my mind, Clancy dies because he knew too much “dirt” on this criminal administration…. and he was getting ready to put it all out in the public….

Incidentally, Clancy was loved and admired by the military……but not by the politicians.
