And yes, Obama is involved, deeply involved.”…Truthteller, NoQuarterUSA October 12, 2008

Never let a good crisis go to waste.

If you don’t have one. Create one.

From Zero Hedge August 29, 2013.

“As Syria Distracts, Here’s What’s Happening While No One Is Looking”

“Gun control

Today, the Obama administration announced fresh measures to restrict the availability of firearms in the Land of the Free.

This time around, they want to ban the re-importation of firearms that have been exported from the US to allied nations. They also want to raise the bar on federal background checks.

But rather than go through Congress, the Obama administration is simply going to create a new ‘rule’.

‘Rules’ are a type of regulation created directly by agencies within the Executive Branch. They’re not laws, but they carry the same weight and effect as laws, complete with criminal and civil penalties.

Oftentimes, hundreds of new rules are proposed every single day in the Land of the Free. It’s the easiest way for the President to circumvent the Constitution and simply decree whatever he wants.

Debt ceiling

The US government is once again danger close to defaulting.

Bear in mind, at the start of the ‘credit crisis’ six years ago, US federal debt was just $8.9 trillion. Today, US federal debt stands at $16.738 trillion– 88% higher.

Curiously, the statutory debt limit is $16.699 trillion… so the US government already breached its limit 39 billion dollars ago.

For the last few months, the Treasury Department has been resorting to ‘extraordinary measures’ in order to avoid default (i.e. things that you and I would go to jail for).

But Treasury Secretary Jack Lew is about out of bullets. So the US could be in danger of defaulting at any moment, especially if an unexpected fiscal ‘surprise’ should arise… like, uh, war.

That’s the funny thing about war– they tend to be expensive. And starting another war might very well be the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

I applaud Zero Hedge for pointing out another Obama camp diversion.

However, they left out a few things that Obama might wanted attention diverted away from.

  • The real employment situation. Huge drop in labor force participation, increase in part time employees, etc.
  • AL and VT supreme court Obama eligibility cases.
  • Blagojevich appeal.
  • FDIC v Mahajan lawsuit.
  • Obamacare impact on jobs and health care costs.
  • Add your own Obama problem. Time prohibits listing them all.

“Mark Levin Showed All The Traits of a Scoundrel on His Radio Show Thursday”

“Mark Levin’s brazen misstatements and disinformation on his radio show Thursday were unbelievable and shocking. He said Ted Cruz is eligible to be President even though he said Ted Cruz was a “naturalized Citizen”. As I said, unbelievable. I guess Mark, it’s hard to keep your mind straight when you are twisting the truth about what a “natural born Citizen” truly is to constitutional standards. And this disinformation is coming from a man who holds himself out as a constitutional expert. He is doing this on purpose. In my opinion, he is a coward on this issue of presidential eligibility since he will not allow anyone on the air, constitutional expert or otherwise, to debate him in a courteous, intelligent, and respectful way on this. All he spews out on this issue is anger, intimidation, disinformation, and ridicule. And he blocks all calls from listeners on this issue. What is he so afraid of? Maybe that the real truth might get onto the national airways. By way of a note as to correct historical information given to him in the past, a team of constitutionalists, me included, attending a conference in Washington DC in 2010, presented him and other dignitaries attending that event with historical and legal information on the founders and framers intent and true meaning of “natural born Citizen” of the United States. … .”

FOLLOW THE MONEY……that’s what I have been saying all week about this “distraction” in Syria….MONEY is the motivator of all war,Syria is no different.

Now that Obama has the lone role to play in Syria, and his friendly buddy nation countries of England and France have chickened out, the question becomes….Will he do it?…or will he not do it?

I say he will do it… because like you say in your article….he has a full plate of problems and needs a BIG distraction…Syria is that BIG distraction.

With the debt limit already breached, if we go to war, no one in Congress would dare deny our fighting men and women whatever they need to defeat Assad….so there will be no debt limit. The debt ceiling will be floating just like the dollar is now floating

Another war and everything will float right down to the bottom of the value scale.

You are correct……..this war “may very well be the straw that breaks our back”.

Another funny thing about war…”children should never play at war, the results are just to damn real”.

PARIS, Aug 30 (Reuters)(Yesterday) – France said on Friday it still backed action to punish Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government for an apparent poison gas attack on civilians, despite a British parliamentary vote against it.
it’s funny how BRAVE you can be when you have “no skin in the game”.

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon is moving a fifth warship armed with cruise missiles to the eastern Mediterranean Sea, giving the U.S. more firepower for a possible attack on Syria in response to alleged use of chemical weapons, a defense official said.

The guided-missile destroyer Stout is expected to arrive in the area Thursday, joining four other missile-carrying U.S. destroyers within range of Syria.
The question is; Is this to turn Syria into nothing but little rocks …or position most of our functioning US Navy for one giant kill shot by our enemies?

The jury is still out on that question.

The obvious fact is that the French leadership has ALWAYS demonstrated their lack of courage, going clear back even into WW1 history. However I give more than abundant credit to England. At least even in spite of nearly 24 hour air raids by the Nazi Luftwaffe their leadership did not waiver, and they fought in literally every theatre of WW2….valiantly. But the quality of leadership America,England and France NOW has is SERIOUSLY INEPT. In fact the US HAS NO LEGAL LEADER, thanks to the MORONS who walk among us, who really believe that UP is DOWN,and a large percentage of Americans no longer have the mentality to separate FACT FROM FICTION…….which the latter is what the public is presently getting a healthy dose of. I personally think that Britain ,and France backed away from any participation because they HAVE NO CONFIDENCE in the US LEADER.

  9. ………or our military leadership!

Prime Minister David Cameron’s plans to join a potential military strike on Syria were thwarted on Thursday night when Britain’s parliament narrowly voted against a government motion to authorize such action in principle.

In a humiliating defeat for the British leader likely to damage Cameron’s hopes of being re-elected in 2015 and set back traditionally strong U.S.-UK relations, parliament defied Cameron by 285 to 272 votes.

Commentators said it was the first time a British prime minister had lost a vote on war since 1782, when parliament effectively conceded American independence by voting against further fighting to crush the colony’s rebellion.
You can bet you boots that Mr. Camron will not be re-elected as PM when his time is up over this Syrian MESS…..

How humiliating for a sitting PM not to get the vote of parliament to go to WAR especially since it has been 231 years since an English PM was refused such a request……the time of George III was the last refusal, I think. and the American colonies was the target.

My, my how times have changed….now America is the requestor and England is the target….

Mr. Cameron, some friendly advise…it doesn’t pay to be overly chummy with Mr. Obama. He will get you un-elected very fast.

Don’t believe me? Just ask some of his past associates. They are either un-elected or dead.

You don’t want to be either one….when you play with fire, you get burned.

Interestingly Britain has had MORE than it’s share of problems as a result of relaxed immigration policy. Now they even have MUSLIMS employed by Scotland Yard. This will eventually cause them a REAL problem…..which I see aas just around the corner.

  17. UK…Germany….Italy…O U T… on any action against Syria….

France still willing to support by throw spitballs from a secret location somewhere inside Jordan

America is reassured by France’s strong support of their position on Syria.

  18. OLDSAILOR81…..

Yes…that is now a big problem all over Europe….in France, the population of Paris is now about 15% Muslim….I’m not sure of the numbers in England, but they are creating a lot of problems for the people of that country…that once beautiful land of rolling hills and valleys.

German also has more than it’s share of Muslims and the PM of that country has expressed her concerns over the increase in their numbers…I think Germany is cutting back, or has cut back on immigration from Arabic nations.

In fact, ALL of Europe is in big trouble. The Muslims are multiplying much faster than any other race, even in America, this is true. I wrote a blog sometime ago here on CW that showed by 2040, most of Europe would be Muslim just because most Muslim families are having 8 or 10 kids…seems like they multiply like fies.

Well…all I can say is, Europe ask for it….just as we seem to be asking for it. But thank goodness, I don’t think I will be around when it comes to reality….

U.S. Military Officer On Obama’s Plans To Attack Syria: “I Can’t Believe The President Is Even Considering It”…

The Obama administration’s plan to launch a military strike against Syria is being received with serious reservations by many in the U.S. military, which is coping with the scars of two lengthy wars and a rapidly contracting budget, according to current and former officers.

Having assumed for months that the United States was unlikely to intervene militarily in Syria, the Defense Department has been thrust onto a war footing that has made many in the armed services uneasy, according to interviews with more than a dozen military officers ranging from captains to a four-star general.

Former and current officers, many with the painful lessons of Iraq and Afghanistan on their minds, said the main reservations concern the potential unintended consequences of launching cruise missiles against Syria.

Some questioned the use of military force as a punitive measure and suggested that the White House lacks a coherent strategy. If the administration is ambivalent about the wisdom of defeating or crippling the Syrian leader, possibly setting the stage for Damascus to fall to fundamentalist rebels, they said, the military objective of strikes on Assad’s military targets is at best ambiguous.

“There’s a broad naivete in the political class about America’s obligations in foreign policy issues, and scary simplicity about the effects that employing American military power can achieve,” said retired Lt. Gen. Gregory S. Newbold, who served as director of operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the run-up to the Iraq war, noting that many of his contemporaries are alarmed by the plan. […]

Still, many in the military are skeptical. Getting drawn into the Syrian war, they fear, could distract the Pentagon in the midst of a vexing mission: its exit from Afghanistan, where U.S. troops are still being killed regularly. A young Army officer who is wrapping up a year-long tour there said soldiers were surprised to learn about the looming strike, calling the prospect “very dangerous.”

“I can’t believe the president is even considering it,” said the officer, who like most officers interviewed for this story agreed to speak only on the condition of anonymity because military personnel are reluctant to criticize policymakers while military campaigns are being planned. “We have been fighting the last 10 years a counterinsurgency war. Syria has modern weaponry. We would have to retrain for a conventional war.”

The UK may be out,Germany is out, Italy is out, France might as well be out, but Saudi Arabia isn’t taking any chances. Moments ago, Reuters reported that the regime which as we reported is behind the entire conflict in Syria (hint: gas) has raised its level of military alertness in anticipation of a possible Western strike in Syria, sources familiar with the matter said on Friday.
Saudi Arabia’s defense readiness, their version of DefCon, has been raised to “TWO” from “FIVE”, a Saudi military source who declined to be named told Reuters. “ONE” is the highest level of alert. “It is a must, no one knows what will happen,” he said.
And so all those who thought there would be no war and sold off gold and crude, are suddenly caught short. More curious is why Saudi is leaking this information to the media: another provocation, and an attempt to accelerate a conflict which is rapidly fizzling?

Remember: for Saudi Arabia “no war” is the worst possible outcome. If so, expect more mysterious “chemical attacks” in the coming hours and days to cement the Western resolve to blow up Assad.
Apparently Saudi Arabia uses the same defense readiness system as the US …

I have been saying for the past few weeks that Saudi Arabia is behind all this unrest in the Middle East….the reason is to protect their interest in Petro dollars…..remember that Saudi Arabia strongly supports the American dollar….they have so many of our dollars now they can’t change to another system…..

On the other hand, Syria, Iran, and other middle eastern countries, have only what the Americans give them as charity………go figure.

If the American interest in Petro dollars is destroyed in the Middle East…so is Saudi Arabia…and they can’t eat sand..

The lies being told by US government agencies and the mainstream media over in Syria continue to unravel as a Free Syrian Army Rebel has come out and admitted to the Associated Press that the rebels were responsible for the chemical attack in Syria blamed upon Syrian government forces.

If this information isn’t bad enough, the rebels also admit that the weapons were supplied to them by the US ally… SAUDI ARABIA.

Is Barack Obama now going to attack Saudi Arabia and the FSA rebels, or will this be overlooked by the globalists and the White House and the attack on Syria is still on?

  25. A resolution for McDonald’s to solve the Fast Food Strike in two words……..

“We’re not ‘going it alone’ in Syria. Al Qaeda will be providing ground support.”

    – Secretary of State John Kerry

A note from our attorneys: This is not a real quote, but it might as well be.

Kerry just laid out the Obama government’s position on Syria. He has given a lot of lip-service for action against the Syrian government.

Kerry said there is NO DOUBT that the Syrian government is responsible for this gas attack which took 1,429 lives, but there are a lot of holes in what he says. Let’s examine this swiss cheese response some of them.

Kerry said there was no doubt Assad was responsible for this gas attack…..yet Kerry will not give any CONCRETE proof of this accusation. He cannot, or will not show a video of Assad’s troops firing chemical weapons. He does show rows of dead people …but exactly who was responsible for those deaths?.The government or the rebels?

So….all the real proof we have are the WORDS of John Kerry. I recall him saying, “trust me”…..I don’t know about anyone else on here, but I wouldn’t trust Kerry any further than I could throw one of those battleships he sent to Syria.

Does it make ANY sense what-so-ever for Assad’s government forces to use poison gas against his people when they are WINNING, let me repeat that, the Assad forces are WINNING, the Civil War to begin with? That would be utter stupidity on Assad’s part and totally senseless…I do not think Assad is that stupid.

However, it does make a lot of sense for the Rebel forces to use a gas attack against the people to gain and strengthen the support of those who want the rebel movement to be successful, ie., the US, England, France, , Saudi Arabia, etc…’s as easy to sale the BIG LIE as it is the little lie, that is…if you have the media on your side….past world history has proven this point over and over.

Ask yourself…why doesn’t the UN mandate want to place blame and point fingers for the use of these weapons? If Assad was responsible, you can bet the UN would gladly place blame….however with the rebels using them, they have refused to place blame…only to confirm they were used.

So you have to ask yourself…why in the hell did the UN go there in the first place? To appease the US and her allies?….or in hoping that Assad did in fact use the weapons?

Finally, to date, there has been over 100,000 people killed in Syria so far in this Civil War that is backed and supported from outside the country, Yet now when only 1429 people are killed, the US gets their panties in a wad. Why? Was it only because Obama said that the use of biological/chemical weapons was the REDLINE as far as HE was concerned and anything of this nature would have a response from the US and our allies……..

Did the rebel forces in Syria take that as a HINT-HINT on how to get the US directly involved on their side? I think it was a very strong indicator.

As a footnote, In all this back and forth wordsmithing…I have yet to hear anyone comment on what Russia will, or won’t do if America gets involved in Syria…

Above all else, we should remember…..and make no mistake, Russia is:

  39. ‘Syrian rebels take responsibility for the chemical attack admitting the weapons were provided by Saudis’ – source

In an interview with Dale Gavlak, a Middle East correspondent for the Associated Press and Mint Press News, Syrian rebels tacitly implied that they were responsible for last week’s chemical attack. Some information could not immediately be independently verified.

“From numerous interviews with doctors, Ghouta residents, rebel fighters and their families….many believe that certain rebels received chemical weapons via the Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, and were responsible for carrying out the (deadly) gas attack,” he writes in the article.

The rebels noted it was a result of an accident caused by rebels mishandling chemical weapons provided to them.

“My son came to me two weeks ago asking what I thought the weapons were that he had been asked to carry,” said Abu Abdel-Moneim, the father of a rebel fighting to unseat Assad, who lives in Ghouta.

As Gavlak reports, Abdel-Moneim said his son and 12 other rebels died in a weapons storage tunnel. The father stated the weapons were provided to rebel forces by a Saudi militant, known as Abu Ayesha, describing them as having a “tube-like structure” while others were like a “huge gas bottle.”

“They didn’t tell us what these arms were or how to use them,” complained a female fighter named ‘K’. “We didn’t know they were chemical weapons. We never imagined they were chemical weapons.”

“When Saudi Prince Bandar gives such weapons to people, he must give them to those who know how to handle and use them,” she warned. She, like other Syrians, do not want to use their full names for fear of retribution.

Gavlak also refers to an article in the UK’s Daily Telegraph about secret Russian-Saudi talks stating that Prince Bandar threatened Russian President Vladimir Putin with terror attacks at next year’s Winter Olympics in Sochi if Russia doesn’t agree to change its stance on Syria.

  40. The original source for this article is here:

Notice it is an AP reporter who went on to say……….

The U.S., Britain, and France as well as the Arab League have accused the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for carrying out the chemical weapons attack, which mainly targeted civilians. U.S. warships are stationed in the Mediterranean Sea to launch military strikes against Syria in punishment for carrying out a massive chemical weapons attack. The U.S. and others are not interested in examining any contrary evidence, with U.S Secretary of State John Kerry saying Monday that Assad’s guilt was “a judgment … already clear to the world.”

    We’re being set up.
