He cites the 95th sura of the Quran, “At-Tin,” which translates as “fig” or “fig tree.” It reads in part: “[I Swear] By the fig and [by] the olive/ And [I Swear by] Mount Sinai/ And [I Swear by] this secure land [of the city of Makkah].”
Writes Muhammad Asad, author of The Message of The Qur’an, “The ‘fig’ and the ‘olive’ symbolize, in this context, the lands in which these trees predominate: i.e., the countries bordering on the eastern part of the Mediterranean, especially Palestine and Syria.”…
…The apes don’t jump in the water, the “blue.” They “tumble” in, but only after howling and baring their fangs, a gesture of war. Consider Isaiah 9:12, New Living Translation: “The Syrians from the east and the Philistines from the west will bare their fangs and devour Israel.”
“Was it a wish, a dream,” O’Hagan writes of the poem, “a prediction that the Palestinian Arabs would rise up in Israel and drive the Jews into the Sea?” It might well be.

Republicans Have Won Every November 6th Presidential Election Since 1860
Here’s one more historical curiosity to observe this election cycle. Since election day was standardized in 1845 there have been 6 presidential elections held on November 6th and Republicans have won all six. That means next Tuesday, the 7th Presidential election held on this date, will either break or uphold a streak that began in 1860 with the election of Abraham Lincoln.

🙂 Back when Trump said he had big news, I decided to “follow” him and that is how I linked up with the CCP. Both are authentic twitter sites. Someone yesterday asked CCP if they were going to do something today, and I tweeted to that person that it would have to be AFTER the 31st. That communication is what prompted CCP to respond the way it did – by noon on the 1st. I don’t hold out big hopes, because we have been so disappointed before, BUT……..this could be different – much different.
(All of this twitter stuff – Hmmm – For an oldster like me, this is a brave, new world – Ha! “Six months ago I couldn’t even spell ‘twitter’, and now I are one.” )

WOW, Glenn Beck just confirming that 2 major media outlets have the emails showing there were assets mobilizing to protect those in Benghazi and the WH told them to Stand down.
One of the outlets is a network, he didn’t specify the other media outlet. He told them to show what they have to the American public before the election. If not, he said he will expose them both. He said, he doesn’t bluff.
Either way, if O is reelected or not, GB will expose this info.
Once again, he has confirmed that info and knows the media outlets that is concealing it.

I know that I can be “off the wall” at times, but I just can not get over the uproar over Libya, but yet the eerie silence over Obama ordering the death of an AMERICAN by drone.
Maybe I’m wrong in equating the two, but in my mind in one instance Obama allowed “others” to kill Americans, and in the other it was AMERICANS killing Americans.
I know the guy was a “bad guy”, but he was an AMERICAN who has just as many “rights” as the Ft Hood shooter has been afforded (I guess that should read that he SHOULD have had just as many………).
But don’t get me wrong, Obama was absolutely a COWARD in the Libyan event. He sat back and WATCHED as US soil was INVADED and was ultimately responsible for the denying of assistance to those on the ground.
But to me it’s just “par for the course” from Obama.
I believe that the reason Stevens was there was to try to move weapons, and if you have followed “Fast and Furious”, you’d have to conclude that THIS is also “par for the course” for Obama.
I believe impeachment is too good for Obama.
He should be tried and given the ultimate punishment.
I’d like to get the trial held in Texas also.
