“U.S. unemployment rate stays at 8.2 percent”
“Three years after the official end of the recession, the nation’s payrolls added 80,000 jobs in June, well short of the 100,000 to 150,000 jobs that economists say are necessary each month to keep up with population growth.
The unemployment rate remained unchanged at 8.2 percent, the U.S. Labor Department reported Friday.
The recession, which rocked the nation’s economy and is still influencing business and consumer spending, began in December 2007 and ended, officially, in June 2009.
“We’re three years past the end of the recession, and for many Americans, the recovery has never shown up,” said Mark Vitner, senior economist at Wells Fargo Securities in Charlotte.
“We’ve been consistently adding jobs,” said Heidi Shierholz, a labor market economist at the Economic Policy Institute in Washington. “But we’ve been adding what we need to roughly tread water. It’s not what we need to dig out. It’s just what we need to hang on.”
Stock markets fell in response to the news. The Dow Jones industrial average closed down 124.20 points at 12,772.47.”
“Retailing declined, with the biggest drops in department and general merchandise stores, reflecting a general cutback in consumer spending.
To Kurt Rankin, an economist at the PNC Financial Services Group, the drop in retail spending is emblematic of what has been happening since the recession ended.
“Consumer psychology was impacted dramatically and is still suffering from the lingering aftereffects,” he said. Scared by what they saw, Americans are putting their money into reducing their personal debt, rebuilding retirement nest eggs, and increasing their savings, he said.
“We’re stuck with a slow-stall speed recovery,” Rankin said, “and that’s kept hiring and consumer spending from breaking free.”
Friday’s results were particularly disappointing after Thursday’s optimistic trio of portents:
There was the survey from the ADP payroll company showing the addition of 176,000 jobs in June, outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas’ news that June’s announced job cuts were the lowest in a year, and the report that first-time claims for unemployment had dropped for the week ending June 23.
The bad news in June’s Labor Department report included an increase in the “U-6” statistic – the measurement of the miserable – to 14.9 percent. That’s all the unemployed, plus discouraged workers, plus part-time workers who would like full-time work, and others marginally associated with the labor force.
The “U-6” rate is down from 16.2 percent a year ago, but up from 14.8 percent in May.
“We may be suffering through a major heat wave, but the economy is cooling off,” said Bucks County economist Joel Naroff of Naroff Economic Advisers. “With so much uncertainty about the world economy and politics, businesses have decided the best course is to do very little.”
The average length of unemployment grew to 39.9 weeks, up from 39.7 in May and virtually unchanged since 39.8 weeks in June 2011, a testimony to the unrelenting difficulty that the long-term unemployed have in finding jobs.
The median length of unemployment, which is the amount of time it takes most people to find work, has fallen a little more than two weeks in a year, from 22.1 weeks to 19.8 weeks.
Of the 12.7 million unemployed, up 29,000 from May, 41.9 percent have been out of work for more than 27 weeks. Federal emergency unemployment benefits are due to expire at the end of the year, meaning that those who now become unemployed can expect to receive only 26 weeks of benefits, assuming that they qualify.”
The Labor Force Participation rate remains at historic lows. It was 63.8 for June.

And this news is from the Washington Examiner: “Wages Drop, Only 5th Time in 33 Years … Average weekly wages fell in 2011, one of only five declines since the category was created in 1978 by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In a just-released review of employment in the nation’s largest 322 counties, BLS found that weekly wages dropped over the year by 1.7 percent to $955 in the fourth quarter of 2011 from a high of $971 in the fourth quarter of 2010. … The wage drop comes as employment has increased in a majority of the counties in the last quarter of 2011.” Employment has increased? “That irony makes it the only quarter in history where wages shrunk while employment grew.”
I’m telling you, if the election were today, it would be a landslide defeat for Obama. I don’t care who Romney picks as his veep, it isn’t gonna matter, if the election were held today.
In manufacturing news. “US manufacturing shrank in June for the first time in nearly three years, adding to signs that economic growth is weakening.” That’s how the AP chose to characterize it. Production declined. The number of new orders plunged. Good Lord, folks. After three-and-a-half years of being told by this administration that they have the answers for this, that they have the answers and we’re on the rebound, we’ve turned the corner, we’re coming back from the brink. Every policy that this administration has instituted has done great damage. They talked about the manufacturing. We have a little montage of media Drive-Bys talking about it.

They’re talking about the economy. One of the panelists was a woman named Kate Hunter from Bloomberg, and she said to “Nostrilitis” Waxman, “Most people seem to think that, you know, passage of the health care law in 2010 contributed to Democrats losing control of the House that year in midterm elections. I’m wondering, do you think that tradeoff was worth it, getting the health care law passed and losing the House?”
WAXMAN: If that were the tradeoff. But, look, the president inherited a terrible economy. We were hemorrhaging jobs in 2008 when he got elected, so by the time he took office in 2009, we had over 10% unemployment. We had the banks frozen. They couldn’t deal with their assets. The economy has not recovered. Some people call it a recession. I think it’s a depression.
RUSH: It’s a depression. The Democrats are tweeting about manufacturing, I kid you not: “Ten Reasons Walmart is responsible for the decline of American manufacturing.” That’s what the Democrats are tweeting. Walmart’s responsible for it. How can that be? Walmart depends on people manufacturing stuff so they can stock it. But I thought the private sector was doing fine. That’s what Obama said. Private sector’s doing fine. Now it’s Walmart’s fault.

They didn’t just control congress in 2007, they had their fingers on Fannie Mae and Freddie for years before that. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac gave the government backing that directly led to the real estate speculation, repackaged loans, and ultimately to the housing bubble and collapse. This is all about ACORN (and it’s noble peace prize winning lawyer), Democrats, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, and Frank Raines. The economic collapse wasn’t caused by this entirely, it was the set up but not the cause of the bleeding. The real cause was the dramatic fuel price increases that occurred in Sept of 2008, with oil speculation almost doubling the price of gasoline and diesel. Then, the final nail was the sudden run on the banks.
The economy collapsed because of: 1) Democrats running Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and refusing to allow regulations that prevented them from backing junk loans. 2) Fuel price Spike, likely initiated by China as a means to help usher in a POTUS that would weaken us, by ‘ordering’ fuel and then turning back the tankers. 3) Run of the banks, likely perpetrated by Muslim countries and their rulers as well as George Soros. 4) Democratic Congress that couldn’t understand how to balance a budge or help US industry grow.
To any of our liberal readers, don’t believe for a second that I don’t blame republicans, whom KNEW full well of the games that Frank Raines were playing and cashed in on the scams just as well. I could go on but in the interest of brevity it’s really time to consider how to fix it, and I’m already certain that Obama has failed. The good news is that I can now say with certainty that FDR’s policies resulted in a prolonged world depression once before, just as they have failed with Jimmy Carter and Obama.

Five major ObamaCare taxes that will hit your wallet in 2013
While the individual mandate tax gets most of the attention, the ObamaCare law actually contains 20 new or higher taxes on the American people. These taxes are gradually phased in over the years 2010 (with its 10 percent “tanning tax”) to 2018 (when the tax on comprehensive health insurance plans kicks in.)
Six months from now, in January 2013, five major ObamaCare taxes will come into force:
1. The ObamaCare Medical Device Manufacturing Tax
This 2.3 percent tax on medical device makers will raise the price of (for example) every pacemaker, prosthetic limb, stent, and operating table. Can you remind us, Mr. President, how taxing medical devices will reduce the cost of health care? The tax is particularly destructive because it is levied on gross sales and even targets companies who haven’t turned a profit yet.
These are often small, scrappy companies with less than 20 employees who pioneer the next generation of life-prolonging devices. In addition to raising the cost of health care, this $20 billion tax over the next ten years will not help the country’s jobs outlook, as the industry employs nearly 400,000 Americans. Several companies have already responded to the looming tax by cutting research and development budgets and laying off workers.
2. The ObamaCare High Medical Bills Tax
This onerous tax provision will hit Americans facing the highest out-of-pocket medical bills. Currently, Americans are allowed to deduct medical expenses on their 1040 form to the extent the costs exceed 7.5 percent of one’s adjusted gross income.
The new ObamaCare provision will raise that threshold to 10 percent, subjecting patients to a higher tax bill. This tax will hit pre-retirement seniors the hardest. Over the next ten years, affected Americans will pony up a minimum total of $15 billion in taxes thanks to this provision.
3. The ObamaCare Flexible Spending Account Cap
The 24 million Americans who have Flexible Spending Accounts will face a new federally imposed $2,500 annual cap. These pre-tax accounts, which currently have no federal limit, are used to purchase everything from contact lenses to children’s braces. With the cost of braces being as high as $7,200, this tax provision will play an unwelcome role in everyday kitchen-table health care decisions.
The cap will also affect families with special-needs children, whose tuition can be covered using FSA funds. Special-needs tuition can cost up to $14,000 per child per year. This cruel tax provision will limit the options available to such families, all so that the federal government can squeeze an additional $13 billion out of taxpayer pockets over the next ten years.
The targeting of FSAs by President Obama and congressional Democrats is no accident. The progressive left has never been fond of the consumer-driven accounts, which serve as a small roadblock in their long-term drive for a one-size-fits-all government health care bureaucracy.
For further proof, note the ObamaCare “medicine cabinet tax” which since 2011 has barred the 13.5 million Americans with Health Savings Accounts from purchasing over-the-counter medicines with pre-tax funds.
4. The ObamaCare Surtax on Investment Income
Under current law, the capital gains tax rate for all Americans rises from 15 to 20 percent in 2013, while the top dividend rate rises from 15 to 39.6 percent. The new ObamaCare surtax takes the top capital gains rate to 23.8 percent and top dividend rate to 43.4 percent. The tax will take a minimum of $123 billion out of taxpayer pockets over the next ten years.
And, last but not least…
5. The ObamaCare Medicare Payroll Tax increase
This tax soaks employers to the tune of $86 billion over the next ten years.
As you can understand, there is a reason why the authors of ObamaCare wrote the law in such a way that the most brutal tax increases take effect conveniently after the 2012 election. It’s the same reason President Obama, congressional Democrats, and the mainstream media conveniently neglect to mention these taxes and prefer that you simply “move on” after the Supreme Court ruling.

One of the worst parts of this healthcare vehicle of control is the gov. owning your bank accounts. Some will go for the imbedded RFID/chip; others will have some other mechanism but all will be required to have that tracking personal ID where funds for payments will be automatically debited from you personal account/s for procedures given. And any type of rationing that will go into effect will another excuse for that personal ID. And if the dollar crashes, cash won’t be accepted. I’ll never understand why even now anyone would use a debit card. Heck….why allow someone to take your money before you even get home with purchased product to see if it even works. Not only could you have a dud but you’ve already paid for the dud!!

Today many of our Air Force pilots seldom get off the ground, because they are enrolled in the drone program; they often use civilian cars to practice their skills.
The drone programs are a very secret op of our country. The publicly acknowledged one is run by the Pentagon, but there are two classified programs run by the CIA and the military’s Joint Special Operations Command, which has separate lists of targeted people for killing.

Libor Rate-Fixing Scandal Spotlight Now Shining On … Citigroup And JPMorgan

NEW YORK — The harsh light of the Libor rate-fixing scandal has crossed the Atlantic, with both Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase saying regulators and investigators have requested information from them in a so-far preliminary probe of the case.
Share prices for both — as well as Bank of America, which has not said if it was asked for information — have fallen sharply this week amid worries they could be in line for the type of heavy fines laid on Britain’s Barclays Bank, at the center of the scandal.
Barclays has been fined $452 million (360 million euros) by British and US regulators for attempted manipulation of the markets for Libor and Eurobor benchmark interest rates between 2005 and 2009.
Three top Barclays executives have resigned and on Friday Britain’s Serious Fraud Office said it would formally investigate the case, which has dented London’s reputation as a top financial center.
But speculation runs to other banks because the Libor rate is set based on information from 16 international banks, and many think that manipulating it would take more than one bank.
The issue affects not just banks but commercial and retail borrowers around the world — in the United States, the payments of a floating rate home mortgage loan are often tied to the Libor base rate.
Citi, JPMorgan and Bank of America are three of the 16 banks that fix the rate, as an average of what they say they pay for funds in London’s interbank market.
All three have declined to comment on the scandal.
But JPMorgan and Citi have said that they had received requests for information from regulators and were cooperating.
Citigroup noted in its reports that the Japanese Financial Services Agency, among several regulators involved in the cross-border investigations, had taken administrative action against its Citigroup Global Markets Japan unit over “certain communications” made by two CGMJ traders about Libor and the Euroyen Tokyo interbank rate, or Tibor.
The unit was given a two-week suspension from trading in yen-linked derivatives in January.
JFSA also took administrative action against Citibank Japan in part related to the handling of the communications made by the CGMJ traders.
“The inquiries by government agencies into various interbank offered rates are ongoing,” the bank said in a report to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Citigroup and JPMorgan also acknowledged private civil and class-action lawsuits filed against the Libor-setting banks beginning in April over the issue.
The suits have been assembled together into one action proceeding in the New York federal district court.
Even if there is not yet any formal investigation of the US banks over the Libor rate manipulation, their shares have already taken falls over worries they could be involved.
JPMorgan shares were off 5.1 percent for the week in afternoon trade Friday; Citi shares were down 4.4 percent and Bank of America 6.5 percent.

Industry Veteran Closely Involved in the Libor Process Says that the Rate Has Been Manipulated for 15 Years
We’ve previously noted that Libor manipulation has been going on since at least 2005 … and continued long after the manipulation was first reported.
The Financial Times started reporting on the manipulation in 2007, and the Wall Street Journal in 2008 (see this, this, this, this and this).
But as the Economist reports today, the manipulation probably goes back a lot further:
The FSA has identified price-rigging dating back to 2005, yet some current and former traders say that problems go back much further than that. “Fifteen years ago the word was that LIBOR was being rigged,” says one industry veteran closely involved in the LIBOR process. “It was one of those well kept secrets, but the regulator was asleep, the Bank of England didn’t care and…[the banks participating were] happy with the reference prices.” Says another: “Going back to the late 1980s, when I was a trader, you saw some pretty odd fixings…With traders, if you don’t actually nail it down, they’ll steal it.”
Given that homeowners, students, credit card holders, and other borrowers pay more when rates are higher, the banks appear to have fleeced consumers for 10 years during the entire bull run leading up to the financial crisis.
We predict that lawyers can prevail in huge class action lawsuits based on that theory alone.

Well let’s see…the black segment of American society is most certainly NOT being mentored to by the white segment, nor will the black segment even consider such a thing. This would tend to beg the question then of who, exactly, is mentoring to them, and what do they have to gain by it?
There is a saying that states,”you tend to become like who you hang around with”. Theoretically then, if you hang with gangs, you absorb a gang mentality. If you hang with a militant black nationalist element likewise, you will be affected. If you happen to be running a predominantly black church, that teaches class hatred and militancy against a predominantly white country, you stand to make a LOT of money…Likewise, if you happen to be a black politician, and can convince this very same segment of the population that these things are so, you also, by exploitation of a lie, will get filthy rich and stay that way a long time.
What then, happens to that exploited segment of the population in the long run? They keep on supporting those that are exploiting them, and by so doing, continue to relegate themselves to the fate of high unemployment and essentially lower class status as, because of this exploitation which promotes this militancy, they are no longer trusted by their white contemporaries. They think that their plight is caused by the white segment, and, because that thought is reinforced by their mentors, they continue this viscious cycle, further alienating themselves from the equal footing they desire. This is not really even a black issue when one considers the source of those who are supporting the current socialist bent in this country today.
This is the long way of saying that, it is not really that surprising that these obots think the way they do.

Just thinking about within what framework our Constitution was conceived, that being a generally righteous-thinking Christian colonial assemblage. From a standpoint of religious thinking, there are no more devout Christians anywhere than you will find in the black American population. Is Your Computer Infected with DNSChanger Malware?
Approximately 64,000 Americans could lose Internet access on Monday thanks to a criminal organization that infected millions of computers around the world with malware called DNSChanger. This malware was used to direct unsuspecting users to rogue servers controlled by the cyber thieves, where they manipulated users’ web browsing activity and used it for ad hijacking, allowing them to make millions of dollars in illicit fees.
DNS (Domain Name System) is an Internet service that converts user-friendly domain names, such as http://www.fbi.gov, into numerical addresses that allow computers to talk to each other. Without DNS and the DNS servers operated by Internet service providers, computer users would not be able to browse websites, send e-mail, or connect to any Internet services.
After announcing criminal indictments and seizing the rogue servers last November, the FBI obtained a court order and worked with a non-profit to set up temporary clean DNS servers for victims affected by the DNSChanger malware. But, says Supervisory Special Agent Thomas Grasso of our Cyber Division, “On July 9, we’re going to be turning off those servers. I ‘ve been thinking the same thing Jonah. We’ve been directed to an FBI sight to see if we are infected. Does anyone here actually trust the government? As a veteran myself I am really steamed by what was done to Lakin. I personally have pledged to pursue the exoneration of this fine and upstanding officer no matter HOW LONG IT TAKES to achieve it. The results ARE that there has NEVER BEEN A PETITION FOR NAME CHANGE LEGALLY FILED ANYWHERE ON THE US MAINLAND OR IN HAWAII, OR ANYWHERE ELSE. The search was conducted using the Barry Soetoro name,and was searched for the interim period from 1980-2000. Had the Petition been legally filed we would have found the exact date,geographic location,and the Superior Court in which it was adjudicated. Anyone who thinks that there is a special FBI site to connect with may want to re think such a move. I personally do not believe any of the tripe that is being passed off as the truth. Further if there is a DNS malware which is being injected into our PCs it is/was coming from ROGUE sites. Up to a point I do believe that notion. However the deviant malware is a sort which is in reality a “keylogger”. The keyloggers record every key stroke you make and sends everything back to the CRIMINAL who perpetrated the keylogger. Can someone explain to me where these “right wing religious” folks are? Seems to me that being religious isn’t right or left, it’s MORAL and JUST. And why don’t we ever hear Jackson or Sharpton (both are pastors or reverends aren’t they?, yes with a small “p” and/or “r”, because they do not deserve my respect) LABLED with the “left wing religious” moniker?
Just seems fair to me that if someone who wants to teach morals and the Good Book is labled “right wing”, then those who condone promiscuity and other IMmoral behavior should be labled as “left wing”.
It also seems to me that if your don’t teach BOTH sides of the story of creation/evolution, then we are doing our young a DISservice. The only way to LEARN is to be given the WHOLE story. When only one side is given as FACT, then it becomes INDOCTRINATION, there’s just no two ways about it.
And this is coming from an AGNOSTIC, who has looked at both sides of the issue, and believe that anyone who dismisses the existence of a “higher being”, is living with their head in the sand.

BTW…………I did not experience any connectitity problems this morning. I have been online since a few minutes before 7:00 AM. What happened to the FBI SHUTDOWN of all IP services? As I stated yesterday people who post this sort of information only fire torpedos at themselves. There are people on the internet who do in fact have the brainpower,and experience to know the truth as to what is going on with the various IP services. Yes there are those who attempt to operate ROGUE servers etc, but their operations are soon discovered and are soon thereafter electronically blocked by the IP services which they are trying to invade. These are the people who are trying 24 hours a day to install malware (KEYLOGGERS) in everybody’s computers. Yes they are difficult to detect,and they are also difficult to get rid of. Next to IMPOSSIBLE! But that is not to say that you can’t circumvent them. There are certain keyboards being developed that use a filtered RF connection to the pc and the keystrokes are filtered out, but the PULSE remains and is used. If these are successful then the hackers will have to find some new playthings, because their “keylogger” malware will become a useless entity. By utilising varying RF frequencies the keyloggers cannot operate because the malware has no provisions to detect the RF frequency that a specific victim keyboard is operating at. That is what is nice about RADIO FREQUENCY,it can be produced at thousands of different frequencies.

there are a number of argument styles of which the “ad hominem” (personal attack) is one. Ad hominem attacks the person, or takes a personal tone , as opposed to using reason or logic. It is priimarily a distraction from the issue as opposed to having any factual basis.
It is commonly used by lawyers, in courtrooms, when they have no case.
Ad Hominem can be either “direct” against another person or, passively, by using inference, as I have seen here many times. Inference is even more destructive in that it can easily be misconstrued as to it’s intent, thereby landing on an innocent party thus allowing them to think that it is them who is under attack.
There are many forms of argument of which this is only one. Beware also of misinformation, as I’m certain you all are.
Enough of the inflamatory language and name calling…it accomplishes nothing aside from calling attention to your own ignorance.
Formal complaint seeks disbarment of Eric Holder in DC
Attorney General Eric Holder could lose his license to practice law in the District of Columbia, or face some other penalty from the D.C. Bar, now that he has been found in criminal and civil contempt of Congress.
Last week, the bloggers who first exposed Operation Fast and Furious, Mike Vanderboegh and David Codrea, filed a formal complaint with the Washington, D.C. Office of Bar Counsel alleging that Holder committed “professional misconduct” during the congressional investigation into the scandal.
Because Holder was found in contempt of Congress for his “refusal to comply with a subpoena duly issued by the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform,” Vanderboegh and Codrea contend, “[i]t would appear that several, if not all of these rules [the D.C. Bar’s rules of professional conduct], have been violated.”

Seeing the GOP ignore the biggest Constitutional crisis in this nation’s history over the past 4 years has taken away every shred of motivation I have to even vote anymore, at least on the national level. I deployed while in the Army and have lost a handful of friends fulfilling the very same Oath that every one of these traitors took upon assuming public office. Every single Republican in Congress and in upper level state office are nothing less than traitors. And that includes veterans in Congress such as Allen West (who I once thought would make an excellent President). He is a traitor to the United States Constitution, period. Both Allen and I have served in the Army, deployed and lost friends overseas, but the difference between he and I is that there is no way in heck that I would have ignored this issue. The powers that be would have had to put bullet in my head to silence me because I actually still honor the sacrifice my friends made. The Oath I took in the Army does not expire.
For the first time since I was able to vote 18 years ago, I will not be voting for President, at least not for the Republican Mitt Romney. I will never give a cent of my hard earned money to another Republican that has not had the guts to attack this issue. I truly believe that if the millions of pro-Article II citizens had stated this a couple years ago, we may have seen some action. These people have no loyalty to this nation, only power and money. While I have no doubt Romney would be better and may even prolong the eventual collapse, I’m beyond the point of caring who sits in the Oval Office. In my opinion, as bad as this may sound, maybe people will wake up once the crap hits the fan and we can fight another Revolutionary War and get it over with. I encourage everybody to write their state GOP leaders and state this.
And Ken Bennett (you are not worthy of “Mr.” or “Secretary of State”), if you by some chance happen to read this: I would be so ashamed if I was your child. We know Obama is an enemy of our Constitution and he is a criminal; we know every decision he makes is pointed towards our destruction. It is you, every GOP governor, every GOP Congressman, and every state Director of Elections/Secretary of State that is allowing him to wreak havoc on this nation. “The fact of the matter is, is that there are almost half a million more people unemployed today than four years ago and if Debbie and pResident Obama were good on their promises on the stimulus — remember, they said if we passed the trillion dollar stimulus we’d have 5.5 percent unemployment today — what that means, if they kept promises, there would be EIGHT-AND-HALF MILLION MORE PEOPLE EMPLOYED TODAY THAN FOUR YEARS AGO.”
Priebus went on to accuse Democrats of “living in fantasy land” as he made a pitch for Mitt Romney, the presumed Republican presidential nominee.
“This pResident can’t fulfill a promise. They’re living in fantasy land, and you know what? We’re going put this dream to an end of theirs in November and save America, fire Barack Obama and hire Mitt Romney,” Priebus said. “That’s the best stimulus plan for this country right now.”
