Stuart Levine who was heavily enmeshed in Chicago corruption with Tony Rezko, with ties to Barack Obama, and Ali Ata and Bill Cellini are all still awaiting sentencing.
Ali Ata’s sentencing has been postponed until mid July.
Bill Cellini recently had a heart attack and his sentencing has been delayed until July 2, 2012.
Stuart Levine is still scheduled to be sentenced on June 28, 2012.

“Ata was very close with Tony Rezko, visiting Rezko’s Chicago office at least once a week to discuss business. Ata recently pleaded guilty to charges of tax fraud and lying to FBI agents about Rezko’s influence. Today Ata is testifying about his relationship with Rezko.
Born and raised in Jordan, Ata, 56, moved to the U.S. in 1970 to go to college at UIC in Chicago. Ata first became friends with Rezko after Ata was let go from his job as a chemical engineer in 2001. Ata testified that a few days after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks FBI agents visited him at his work to question him. Ata shares the same last name as one of the 9/11 hijackers. Two weeks after the FBI’s visit, Ata’s employer offered him an early retirement package. Ata called it “devastating.”
As part of his plea agreement, Ata has agreed to testify against Rezko in exchange for a lighter prison sentence of 12-18 months (The maximum sentence was eight years).
Ata says in 2002 he donated $50,000 to Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s campaign. In return Tony Rezko secured Ata a position as the head of the Illinois Finance Authority (IFA). Between 2003-2004 Ata says he contributed $125,000 to Blagojevich’s campaign based on requests from Rezko.
Ata also donated $5,000 to Obama’s campaign in 2003 and Rezko asked Ata to make straw donation to Obama’s campaign for $10,000, he said. The Democratic presidential candidate has donated Rezko-related contributions to charity.
Ata says Rezko was part of the “kitchen cabinet” of close advisers to the governor and had an extreme amount of political influence. At a fundraiser for Blagojevich, Ata says the governor thanked him for his support and contributions and then told him that Ata’s new state job at IFA “would be a job where I (Ata) could make some money.”
A source close to the trial says Ata’s testimony will be the “nail in the coffin” for the jury to convict Rezko on charges of fraud, money laundering and attempted extortion.”

And of course, Amrish Mahajan, is a defendant in 2 lawsuits involving Mutual Bank, the bank that loaned Rita Rezko the money to buy the lot that was split and sold to the Obama’s. Kenneth J. Conner, the whistleblower in that transaction is plaintiff in one and the FDIC the other.

SHOWTIME is broadcasting the “Homeland” series today and tonight. The marathon will be repeated tomorrow. The series stars Claire Danes as a Central Intelligence Agency officer and Damian Lewis as, a U.S. Marine who was held captive by Al-Qaeda as a prisoner of war. Danes suspects that Lewis was turned by the enemy and now a secret threat to the United States.
The series originally aired last fall, received critical acclaim and won the 2011 Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama.
The episode “Representative Brady” airs tonight at 8pm EDT and the first few scenes are reminiscent of some of Zero’s Chicago pastimes. Record it if you can. Do you think that some Hollywood writers tune in to Hillbuzz?

While I am on the subject, I posted an analogy on an earlier thread that, “obama is merely the hood ornament on a semi truck, coming at us from out of the fog”.
Analogies can sometimes be very revealing. This one pertains to our focus. To the truly inquiring mind, there is no possible way that anyone, much less bo, could have achieved the level of success of a political coup against this nation without a LOT of help. Sure, he indirerctly benefits from the advent of his position. i.e. How could anyone play so much golf and still manage to run a corporation the size of the U.S.? The answer is so obvious….he is NOT running the country! This then begs the question…who is?
CW has, on numerous occasions, had us focus on the corruption in Chicago. Personally, I believe that Chicago, due to the level of corruption, is simply easier to focus on. What if we take a casual look at hey, take your pick, New York, Atlantic City, Detroit?… New York, by the way, is telling it’s people what they can eat! The answer to this rhetorical question becomes …all of the above? Where am I going with this?
We have a problem….as humans we NEED focus to do our necessary problem solving. As in the circus, when the clowns are performing, we are not noticing the set-up for the next act. It keeps us off balance. At the circus, we ENJOY not knowing what’s coming next. At home, this is not necessarily the case. When it comes to our government, it most certainly is not the case. The people running that circus (the government) however, are using the very same method of controlling the audience (non-participating, ticket-buying spectators).Therefore, let’s see bo as the clown. Now, where are we looking?

Bob, I hesitate to bring this up, but lurking in the back of my mind is something that happened re. Coty Robert Judy in the past. I’m sure that it is the same person but don’t want to insinuate that he hasn’t changed. People do come from all different types of backgrounds……
I found it at Wikipedia concerning the bio of the late Howard Hunter. Any thoughts? Maybe it’s his possible unsavory past that keeps WND from getting involved?

While preparing to speak at a CES fireside being held at Brigham Young University’s Marriott Center on February 7, 1993, Hunter was confronted by Cody Judy, who rushed onto the rostrum and threatened Hunter and the audience of 15,000–17,000. Judy carried a briefcase that he claimed contained a bomb and held what appeared to be a detonator-like device. Judy demanded that Hunter read a three-page document that supposedly detailed God’s plan for Judy to lead the church, which Hunter refused to do. The audience spontaneously sang “We Thank Thee, O God, for a Prophet”, during which students from the audience and then security personnel overtook Judy. After Judy was taken away, Hunter delivered his prepared remarks.
