Obama News April 30, 2012, Economics 101 companies do not pay taxes, Consumers pay in higher prices job cuts and reduced pay, US economy slowdown caused by Obama taxes and policies

“What do you think a stimulus is? It’s spending – that’s the whole point! Seriously.”…Barack Obama

“…and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They [socialists] always run out of other people’s money. It’s quite a characteristic of them.”…Margaret Thatcher

“And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed
–if all records told the same tale–then the lie passed into
history and became truth. “Who controls the past,” ran the
Party slogan, “controls the future: who controls the present
controls the past.”…George Orwell, “1984″

Citizen Wells has been writing for some time about the impact of high gas prices and taxation on the economy. One of the most important ideas presented here is the fact that companies do not pay taxes, consumers do.

From Citizen Wells April 3, 2012.

“First, the corporate tax rate in the US is near or at the top in the world.

US oil companies pay enormous amounts of taxes. How does this compare to one of Obama’s pay to play buddies GE? Check this out for yourself.

Here is the really important point about raising taxes on oil companies and other companies.

Companies (corporations, LLC’s, partnerships, sole proprietors) do not pay taxes!

Consumers pay for the tax increases.

Taxes are part of the cost of doing business.

A tax increase to a company results in some combination of the following:

Product and service price increases.

Employee and hours cutbacks.

Reduced hiring.

Does any of this sound familiar?”

Here is another example.

From McClatchy News April 27, 2012.

“Weak growth of U.S. economy in first quarter renews fears of stalled recovery”

“The U.S. economy’s weaker-than-expected growth in the first three months of this year renewed concerns Friday that the nation’s fragile recovery might stall. ”
“The real disappointment in Friday’s report was a drop in business fixed investment of 2.1 percent and in spending on business structures of a whopping 12 percent. Spending on equipment was up by only a weak 1.7 percent, which partly reflects the end of a tax break for business investment last year.”

““I think what it says is consumers are coming back a bit, but firms are still holding back. They don’t feel confident enough in the recovery to start adding to capacity” and expanding, said Bill Craighead, an economics professor at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn. Consumers appear to be making up for cautious spending in recent years, more confident that the worst is over, he suggested.

The same can’t be said for American businesses.

“Given corporate profits, you might have hoped for more investment growth,” Craighead said. The economy continues to “hit the snooze button. … It’s acceptable growth in the normal economy, but given how many people are unemployed it is disappointing.””

http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2012/04/27/146970/us-economy-slows-to-22-percent.html

From McClatchy News April 23, 2012.

“U.S. economy faces likely slowdown, big year-end decisions”

“The U.S. economy is expected to slow later this year, dragged down by slowing global growth, rising anxiety about the elections and the specter of gridlock in Washington over urgent tax, spending and debt deadlines. The Bush-era tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 and the payroll tax cut of the past two years expire at year’s end, when last year’s debt deal also will force across-the-board cuts in federal spending unless Congress and the president strike new deals, but there’s no consensus on that.

A spate of recent indicators punctuated fears that the economy is stalling. March delivered only 120,000 new jobs, and the latest manufacturing and real estate data softened. Some economists say the economy’s strong six-month run through March might not be sustainable.

“If we’re right and growth was overstated in the first quarter and we see payback in the second and third quarters of this year, then it’s going to raise a lot of questions of just how much progress we’ve made over the past few years,” said Mark Vitner, a senior economist at Wells Fargo Securities in Charlotte, N.C.”

“Recent U.S. data have been discouraging for what remains the world’s largest economy.

In the two weeks after the April 6 release of the weak March employment numbers, first-time jobless claims rose. The Labor Department said last Thursday that the four-week average for unemployment claims stood at 374,750 _ the highest since January.

Additionally, the job placement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas reported earlier this month that employers announced 9.4 percent more layoffs in the first three months of this year than the same period last year. Last year’s numbers, however, were the smallest number of layoffs since 1995.

It all points to slower hiring.

“Were we on the verge of a breakout? I think the answer is no,” said Kevin Logan, the chief U.S. economist for the global bank HSBC.

Noting that the economy is adding jobs in a monthly range of 100,000 to 200,000, Logan expects hiring to bump along the bottom. “The next few months, we’ll fall back into this slower pattern,” he said, adding that several drivers of the U.S. economy remain impaired.

Chief among them is the moribund housing market, which remains mired in a foreclosure crisis. What little housing is moving in many major U.S. cities is foreclosure sales and short-sales, dragging down home prices and erasing the potential wealth of neighbors.”

  1. http://fellowshipofminds.wordpress.com/2012/04/29/andrew-breitbarts-coroner-dead-from-suspected-poisoning/

The L.A. coroner’s final autopsy report that Breitbart had died from “heart failure” still does not rule out assassination. As explained by Fred Burks of Examiner.com, November 29, 2009, there is way to induce heart attack via a poison dart. On penetration of the deadly dart, the individual targeted for assassination may feel as if bitten by a mosquito, or they may not feel anything at all. The dart can penetrate clothing and leave nothing but a tiny red dot on the skin. The dart completely disintegrates upon entering the target.

The lethal poison then rapidly enters the bloodstream causing a heart attack. Once the damage is done, the poison denatures quickly, so that an autopsy is very unlikely to detect that the heart attack resulted from anything other than natural causes.

And now, with forensic technician Michael Cormier’s sudden death from suspected arsenic poisoning, there is even more reason to wonder about Breitbart’s sudden “heart failure.’

  2. http://www.examiner.com/article/cia-secret-weapon-of-assassination

A CIA secret weapon used for assassination shoots a small poison dart to cause a heart attack, as explained in Congressional testimony in the short video below.

The astonishing information about this secret weapon of the CIA comes from U.S. Senate testimony in 1975 on rogue activities of the CIA. This weapon is only one of many James Bond-like discoveries of the Church Committee hearings, officially known as the United States Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities.

  3. From Brietbart coroner thread:

    http://www.examiner.com/article/police-investigating-breitbart-s-coroner-s-mysterious-death

Now, authorities are saying that Los Angeles County coroner’s official, Michael Cormier, appears to have died from poisoning, possibly arsenic poisoning.

It isn’t clear if Cormier personally worked on the Breitbart case although he died on the same day when news broke of what caused the death of Breitbart.

A point of interest was observed by WND, is that Sheriff Joe Arpaio had announced a probable cause for forgery in President Obama’s birth certificate on the same day that Breitbart died.

  4. http://www.wnd.com/2012/04/breitbarts-coroner-poisoned-to-death/

It is odd that Cormier died on the same day that the LA Coroner’s report on Brietbart was released but I have found no confirmation that Cormier was working on the Brietbart case.

It is also very suspicious that Brietbart died the night before he was to interview Sheriff Joe about bo’s BC & Selective Service and Social Security Fraud.

  5. http://www.rightsidenews.com/2012042916140/editorial/us-opinion-and-editorial/la-coroner-dead-in-suspicious-poisoning.html

World Net Daily has just reported on the poisoning death of Los Angeles coroner Michael Cormier. It has been revealed that the 61 year old Cormier died on April 20th, the same day the LA Coroner’s office released their autopsy report on the death of Andrew Breitbart.

The coroner’s office has not revealed as yet whether or not Cormier participated in Breitbart’s autopsy, but his death is being treated as “suspicious” and the timing is raising questions.

Breitbart also died on the eve of big events: the unveiling of his new Breitbart.com format, along with the first of promised exposés on President Obama’s past, and Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s revelations about Obama’s forged birth certificate. Breitbart’s autopsy claims he died of a massive heart attack, and no foul play was suspected, but many question whether his death was accidental.

  9. Doug Wead: Louisiana Shocker: Ron Paul Wins

Well, the cat is out of the bag. Saturday’s district conventions in Louisiana give the Ron Paul campaign 74% of the delegates headed into the June state convention where the delegation to the Republican National Convention in Tampa will be finally determined. Another state, another unseen victory for the Texas congressman. And, it should be noted, another embarrassment for the apparent nominee, former Governor Mitt Romney. Now, the question is this. How many other states have their own surprises coming?

Months ago the Ron Paul campaign looked at Louisiana and decided that the best strategy was to concentrate on the caucus. The rules in Louisiana apportion 20 of the states delegates from the votes in its statewide primary, which was held last March and 24 delegates from it caucus system which elects delegates at the precinct level to go to district conventions where they elect delegates to go to the state convention where the final delegation will be chosen.

What would you do? Spend your money trying to win the 20? Or spend your money trying to win the 24? Former Pennsylvania Senator, Rick Santorum, former Speaker, Newt Gingrich, and former governor, Mitt Romney, spent their money competing for the publicity of the statewide primary, which Santorum won and which he proudly and tearfully acknowledged before a national television audience last March. Our hapless New York Times and Associated Press duly reported that the delegates in Louisiana would be awarded 15 to Santorum and 5 to Romney. Ron Paul was not even a mention. But as Lee Corso would say, “Not so fast.”

The actual delegates will be chosen at a state convention in June which Ron Paul supporters will now dominate. Not just by a bare majority but by 74%. It means what they will not only get their 24 delegates to Santorum’s 15 and Romney’s 5, but they will also decide who the delegates representing Santorum and Romney will be. Ain’t it sweet? And it is the brainchild of Jesse Benton – John Tate’s masterful delegate strategy run by our intrepid, Dimitri Kesari.

Shortly after the Newt Gingrich victory in South Carolina the hope for Louisiana seemed like a long shot. There was even talk of helping Gingrich there, to blunt Romney and Santorum. But the campaign surged and the moneybombs came through (thank you) and men and women at the grass roots refused to give up in the face of sometimes hostile party operatives.

Saturday, it all paid off and Ron Paul won majorities in contests in Congressional Districts 1, 2, 5 and 6. The decision in district 4 was close, with Ron Paul winning almost half.

What does it mean? It means you should review some of the posts written on this blog and read carefully what was predicted. As of now, the Ron Paul campaign is ahead of anything anticipated and is doing more with less than any modern presidential campaign in recent memory. It means that there are more surprises coming. It means that Ron Paul will be a factor in Tampa.

Onto Texas, where liberty may once again make its last stand on May 29, 2012 in the Texas Primary. Remember the Alamo.

  10. “GOP lawmaker: Eligibility too scary to take on”

“In former Arizona House Speaker Kirk Adams, eligibility activist Tom Ballantyne thought he had found a Republican ally who would champion the Constitution by demanding a congressional investigation into Barack Obama’s “natural-born citizen” status.

When it came to investigating Obama’s eligibility, however, Adams – who is now running for the U.S. House – said he feared Congress standing up to the chief executive would trigger “a constitutional crisis unlike one we’ve seen since perhaps the Civil War.”

Further, Adams questioned whether an investigation by Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio – determining probable cause to suspect the White House presented forged documents as “proof” of Obama’s eligibility – lends “credibility” to the case.

In a video shot by Ballantyne, author of “Oh Really, O’Reilly!” and cameraman Gabe Zolna, Adams affirmed his oath of office to defend the Constitution, but worried that investigating Obama’s potential violation of that Constitution would create tremendous “fallout” among the American people.

Instead, Adams insisted Congress shouldn’t act until the question of Obama’s eligibility had “worked its way through the legal process.””

  11. Quick Question:

Do Ron Paul fans actually believe against all odds that Ron Paul has a snowball chance to win the GOP election? They are kidding right?

The reason I ask, is I simply see more and more Ron Paul fanatics heavily hitting the blogs when in fact Ron Paul will not win the GOP, nor even come close.

    Just a question

  12. Interested Bystander

    William,

I can’t answer for other RP supporters, but I AM a realist, and know that Paul isn’t going to get the 1144 delegates (or however many) needed to win the nomination, from the primary votes.

However, I will state that I am not an expert on the “process”.

It is my opinion that Mickey Mouse would be better than Romney, and if RP can, within the “process”, get the delegates needed to be nominated, then I hope he stays at it.

It is my view that Paul would be MUCH better for the whole of the Country.

    William,

I would also like to state once more that there is no way that Romney will win in November.

And one more point I’d like to make is that Romney has got to be desperate when he is ready to step on the Constitution by having Rubio’s name brought up about being his running mate.

I believe that Romney would be doing the WHOLE Country a “service” if he’d answer any questions about Rubio being on the ticket with this:

“I’m sorry to report that Senator Rubio is NOT eligible to be on the ticket because although he was born in the United States, he was NOT born on US soil to TWO citizen parents, which is what the term “natural born citizen” was intended to mean.”

But he won’t, he’s a spineless coward like the rest of the poiticians, journalists, and Judges (Ron Paul included).

Here is a comment I found at one of the blogs I visit…..this explains it pretty well…..a delegate from Georgia……

“Any one can say what ever they want. But Ron Pual is going to walk away with this thing. I for one know the delegate process and exactly how it works becaise I am a GA Delegate to the National Convention and since Newt will drop out I will become a free agent to vote for Ron Paul. What people can not comperhend is the fact that there are people all across the U.S. that have become delegates and they will if given the chance vote for Ron Paul. Not only that, my guess is a lot of Romney’s delegates will turn on him. Why? Because no one really likes Romney. If we would have had a fair playing field from the GOP and the Main Stream Media, Romney would already be toast. But now the MSM can no longer down play Ron Paul and he will build steam like a run away train. The MSM and GOP worst nightmare is about to come ture. Think not, just you watch and see.”

  17. Interested Bystander……………..
History has REPEATEDLY shown us that very often a family who has legally immigrated to the US and ultimately become naturalised citizens have proven to be better Americans than their predecessors. This is because they wanted a better life for themselves and their families. America USED to have a revolving beacon which could be seen from distant shores. This beacon promised FREEDOM,and a lot of rights that they did not have where they were. So they legally immigrated to the US then spent years working hard, and building their lives into successful, and otherwise meaningful existences. Many of these people have become pinnacles of strength in America. To mention one such family out of millions I point to the Iacocca family, then I point to my OWN family. I too am not a natural born citizen. My father was born in Notinghamshire,UK and was brought to the US along with his older sister in 1910. His father(my grandfather) was a practicing lithographer. He was employed soon by such companies as McCalls Publishing at Dayton ,Ohio. He retired in 1940. He like so many others was not naturalised until long after his arrival. Because my father was born in the UK he too was naturalised,……..but not until 1947. I cannot explain why such a tardy naturalising, but my point is that he did do exactly what we expect decent, dilligent people to do as immigrants. I hasten to point out that millions of Americans do have European roots, but for some fairly obvious reasons have forgotten their heritage and have allowed themselves to become immersed in criminal ventures. This really cuts into our society at a point which spells disaster down the road. I believe that we are at the moral point of NO RETURN in our country. we now must commit either to flight,or crash and burn at the end of the runway, and become just a pile of filth, human debris, and wreckage. It will effect EVERYONE……in ALL political parties, and in all faiths. There will be NO ESCAPE.

  18. The following was published in a small monthly newspaper in Arizona in April, ‘The Voice in the Desert’………..my sister mailed it to me, so I typed it in order to share by email.

    The American Dream…….
    Introducing Our Guest Writer,
    Dr. Quenten E. Duden

I have known Dr. Duden his whole life (from this point on I will refer to him as Quent). He is not known to be a writer outside the scientific arena. Since our country’s economic decline the last five years and the acceleration of that decline the last year, Quent has been sharing his first hand knowledge and concerns with family, friends and colleagues.
    A little background on Quent
Quent came from a modest, hard working middle class family. The family owned a farm, his Dad worked at a power plant, while his Mom worked at the small private school he and his siblings attended. Everyone worked hard and Quent has attributed his work ethics to his upbringing. His school was staffed by concerned parents and volunteers who were committed to a school focused on academics, morals and Christian standards. The school was long on self discipline, academics and committing to memory things of value.
Quent graduated from high school and immediately got a job to pay for his further education at the University of Arizona. He continued to work hard at everything he did, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might” his motto. Quent is the “go to guy”, the mover and shaker, who gets things done under budget and earlier than scheduled. He is a problem solver, the one to go to, to get it done. Quent would not present a problem without a proposal to correct it.
So, along with his academic credentials and accomplishments in his field, he also fully understands America and her roots: you, the reader, the heart of America. Several of my friends have read the following article and found it to be rather “doom and gloom”. I ask our readers to bear with us and wait for part two in May. Quent would not present a problem without a proposal to correct it. So please take a deep breath and read the following article.
Burger joint, Starbucks, tattoo parlors, check cashing windows, pawn stores, and smoke shops…What we’ve done and where we’re heading.
My name is Quenten E. Duden. My colleagues call me Dr. “Q” or Dr. KaBOOM. I hold multiple degrees in science from America’s finest institutions. Outside of my silly pseudonyms, I am considered a pretty serious fella with an academic set of “acquired skills”. I am on the National Advisory Board for the American Institute in Physics; I am paid to advise congress on energy policy and am given too much credit for my work on space and earth space energy systems. I hold what is considered one of the most well rounded bodies of intellectual property to date and been fortunate to use my irregular skills for the betterment of my beloved country and her allies. I have been so fortunate. I won the lottery when I was born here. So did you.
I did not sit down to write this to discuss my adventures in being an empiricist. Your eyes would roll. I do not list credentials for any other reason but to give some credibility to a particular statement…..I have met the last three presidents on multiple occasions. I have spoken with them one on one. There isn’t a week that goes by wherein I am NOT exposed to our congress in forum, and many of its’ members in person. I talk to them weekly. There isn’t a corner in DC or Virginia I haven’t delved into.
    I am terrified.
…..this is the statement I thought needed some credibility.
…and I don’t scare easily because I have always gotten on the inside and have always been able to outthink my government.
There is no outthinking what is coming. I am writing to hit shortly on a topic that has a thread running through it. It won’t be obvious until the end. It is important that you stick with me. Everything you do, from the way you eat to the way you educate your children is about to change in dramatic fashion. I do not believe it is too late, but we have only one pinky toe left on the ledge.
Reserve Currency Status: America will lose its’ currency reserve status, probably right after the ele4ction, but quite possibly before if China and OPEC have their way. For those who are unfamiliar with Reserve Currency, I will explain. Currently, to buy a unit of energy in the world you need a US dollar. Even if you are an Iraqi citizen who owns an oil rig, to buy and trade oil in the world, you need
US dollars. You want to supply China with oil, you have to turn in your Yuan for Dollars. Want real world examples that this is, in fact, the case? Please do some UTUBE research and look at video footage of multiple Arab nations handing out US dollars to their citizens as payment for all the “atrocities” committed against them. You might ask yourself, “Why do our enemies have a countless supply of one hundred dollar bills to hand to their children?” I did, and it’s all of them. Palestinians in the West Bank to Shiite muslims in Iran. Why does this happen? It happens because their countries are loaded with the reserve currency, which right now is the US Dollar. As a matter of fact, all countries are loaded with our dollars because everyone uses them to trade in the energy markets.
There is another reason the world has more of our money than we do….WE HAVE BEEN PRINTING IT TO PAY OUR BILLS FOR OVER 20 YEARS NOW. Think about it. When the US wants to buy oil, it doesn’t have to buy US dollars to buy oil, it simply prints them. We don’t pay our bills by earning value, we print. AND the last three presidents have been printing in an irresponsible manner. As testified by the US credit rating drop, our current president has been printing them like there is no tomorrow. So much for hope. If you are over 25 you have witnessed (whether you noticed or not) the greatest hemorrhage of wealth from a country in the recorded history of the world. It’s unprecedented by several orders of magnitude. It is not sustainable. China knows that. Even North Korea know that.
Why is this important to you? It’s important because it is all about to end. China, Russia, India, South Korea, North Korea, France, Germany, and Spain are conducting quarterly country to country meetings WITHOUT the United States. What about? About moving away from the US dollar as the energy reserve currency. By and large, the world is done with us and WE CAN NOT BLAME THEM. WE MUST TAKE CULPABILITY HERE. I want my readers to take a moment and re-read the list. It is simply astonishing to me considering North and South Korea haven’t gotten together on ANYTHING, yet they are shoulder to shoulder on this move. We are in DEEP trouble. Even our friends will be forced to turn their backs on us to survive.
Imagine an America where we have to produce a one to one ratio of national product to trade for goods to buy…such as oil. We haven’t done that since WWII. We cannot trade competitively. Have you driven down a major US city main street lately? We are full of burger joints, tattoo parlors, check cashing windows, pawn, and smoke shops. Tertiary retail galore…we do not produce for self reliance, let alone export. We have no idea how to earn money as a country.
I know how. I will get back to this.
So, what does the loss of reserve currency mean to you? It means a one to one trade value with other countries because we no longer have the insanely irresponsible advantage of printing to cover our backside. Gas will double overnight. Forget high interest rates, lending markets will freeze solid. Root level industry, such as farming and mining, will shut down within a month. To trade evenly, we will see a massive downturn in wages across the board. Not that you will get paid less, your pay will just be worth less. We will suffer stagflation in a manner that we as US citizens cannot comprehend. You will be able to have all the dollars you want, but won’t be able to buy toilet paper with it (read between the lines here). No more steak in the freezer. Why do you think the State Department is spending $250 million a year building razor wire compounds at half the shut down Air Force bases in the country? Why is the US stockpiling massive amounts of grains and rice and canned goods? Could it be they are expecting a lot of hungry people? Do you know who runs the State Department? Are you getting this? You are in trouble. Even if you are a multimillionaire, it means nothing. You are very likely to get very hungry in a very short period of time. All the leading brokerage and investment firms have company private memos to its’ executives discussing contingency planning for this event. Jeff Immelt (the chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the US-based conglomerate General Electric) committed millions to a management contingency plan for this event. It’s not a matter of if, simply when.
I know what to do. I will get back to this.
By printing all this money, we have devalued our currency, and thereby our worth. I will give you a few examples of countries who devalued their currency. In the late 80s through 90s, Mexico did. They still haven’t recovered. You still cannot buy anything with Mexican money in Mexico. Do you see where we are heading? There is no business credit, you can’t buy a car on a loan. What is a Peso worth? For the most recent example, consider Greece. Have you watched what happened to the Euro lately? His impact from a country whose GNP that is about the size of Oregon’s. Wow.
I will give you a personal example. Three years ago, some mentors of mine bound up 30 million dollars worth of US bearer bonds into a book. The thing looked like one of those giant family Bibles. They did this to smuggle their investment winnings OUT of China. China refused to let any US dollars out of their mainland because they were sucking them up to keep our purchasing power high. This allowed them to trade relatively cheap goods to us. China has hoarded US dollars to keep their trade advantage. They no longer need to do this. Why? They have more responsible trading partners now; themselves. Their economy has grown past the point of sustaining mass. I can expose the smuggling operation because today China is massively selling off all of its’ US dollars at a discount – on the internet! How? By buying all the gold in the world. China is on a massive gold buy. Not just gold, but everything that is gold including mines, refineries, existing American mining companies – everything. China is buying our resources with our cheap money. If you find this unbelievable, take this mental note…within one year, China will open an international gold store where any person in the world can buy Chinese gold with devaluated US dollars. Watch, you will see. China is beginning to debase our dollar. So is India and so are all the counties sitting on the OPEC council. The world is moving against us because ou8r leaders are RECKLESS.
I know what to do about this, too.
Yes, I will get back to it.
So I have spent a couple of moments to explain how reserve currency status and the US losing it, and why the US is losing it as the instigator for an economic collapse that will make any previous downturn before it (including the recent securities swap mortgage scandal and the ‘29 market crash) look like a walk in the park. I have made bold and confirmable statements that should lead you to believe that we are all in for a terrible ride, and that hunger on a massive scale is very likely. A real doomsday scenario is before us. So much so, in fac5t, many of you will find the problem so insurmountable that you will tend to ignore it and hope I am wrong. I am not wrong. Jeffrey Immelt and every big time CEO of any meaningful corporation in America agrees with me and is making plans. Mrs. Clinton at the State Department agrees with me and is building “facilities”. I do not want the government feeding me 5 year old rice in a concentration camp. Do you?
I laid down three catastrophic problems:
    1. We can’t trade competitively. We have no idea how to earn money as a country.
    2. You are very likely to get very hungry in a very short period of time.
    3. The world is moving against us because our leaders are RECKLESS.
I told you I had ideas on what to do about it. Before we go into those, I need to teach you to think in an emergence, because we are in one. WE ARE IN AM EMERGENCY. I’m going to use words like primary, secondary, and tertiary objectives. You need to focus on the primary objectives. This means you will quite possibly have to hold your political and social objectives (and trust me, I have mine) as secondary and tertiary object5ives. I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO ABANDON YOUR BELIEFS. I am asking you to think in a manner that will allow you to prioritize to protect them. Without America the way we once knew her, your political and social objectives are meaningless, anyway. This is the most universally irrefutable description of the wealth of our country. If you understand this truth and apply it, we will heal. Read it over and over, it’s meaning runs deep, for it is the very essence of independence.
This country was built on a foundation of brilliant men and women who made fortunes in capitalism and shared it with the people who helped them get there. So FOCUS, and let’s heal this country. Next month I’ll suggest how to protect your family against the hunger problem, in trade for your commitment to change how you think, plan, vote, and ACT.
    To be continued in May……………………….

  19. I.B.,

I completely agree. Mitt will not be able to defeat Obama. I also cannot bring myself to vote for him as there is but a sliver difference between him and Obama.

Although Mitt may very well pick up more Independent voters, he will lose quite a bit of RP voters and the Hard Conservative voters. Not enough to win.

  20. I would also add,

That is Rubio is selected for Mitt’s V.P. and he accepts, then their fate is sealed in a loss. I can see why the GOP (and Mitt) want Rubio. They need Florida and the Latino vote. However, that would backfire if Rubio accepts and I think he knows it. Rubio is not eligible.

  21. Speaking of Rubio, here’s another take:

    The truth.
There is a huge difference between Obama and Mitt Romney!!!

  23. Philo-Publius

While conservatives do not agree with Mitt on all issues…he is not a socialist who wants to destroy this country. As CW notes….that is a huge difference.

  24. Good morning all!

Isn’t there something wrong with this picture?? If American citizens have to evacuate for their safety and leave their possessions behind to possibly be destroyed or looted so some so called “summit” can take place…..I say, cancel the “summit”!! Or put it in some bunker in the desert or mountains. They’ll get a taste of what the future holds for ordinary citizens!! Obviously the violent thugs expected will be the idiot one world Soros types favoring over our traditional allies.

  25. i see all the usual suspects are in full force, the never say die paulbots. Let me say this, paul has NO CHANCE at the GOP nomination. He won ZERO states, he should be gone by now. And he is considering torpedoing the race by entering as an independent. Paul is a RINO, he had no business being in any of the debates or on any of the GOP candidates list.

as far as the main topic is concerned, corporations hire hundreds of thousands of employees—all of which PAY TAXES. All of which are the only ones doing so. So much for the premise of the article. And Corporations do pay a lot of other “taxes” , especially when they buy big ticket capital items. Why should corporations be penalized for following the tax code? More simple minded thinking by simple minded people who just don’t get it, and want to undercut our free enterprise system and replace it for their own advantage, elitistism.

  26. I was not for Gov. Romney initially, but I am 100% behind him now regardless of who his VP pick is. The survival of this nation depends on the election of Gov Romney. It is as simple as that. Anyone who is not for Gov Romney at this point is obviously an Anti-American Traitor.

  27. Nancy Drew………thanks for the write by Dr. Duden. It was very interesting.

I concur with the article you placed above….I have long ago said, ‘A country that does not manufacture SOMETHING will not long exist”….our manufacturing capability has declined at a steady pace for over 50 years…..this appears to be a major point of Dr. Duden’s article.

Another point was currency. Every time a new one hundred dollar bill is printed and put into circulation, if the US Treasury doesn’t retire and destroy an old one hundred dollar bill, then the money in your pocket has just lost value by devaluation.

The printing presses have run night and day, but the burning has not been noticeable.

Our money has been losing value for a long time, and it is now almost at the point of being worthless. We are 15 TRILLION DOLLARS in debt, yet we borrow money or print more, to GIVE AWAY to foreign countries. It’s madness.

Now does this make sense to anyone?

Our FISCAL policies are insane. The politicians we send to Washington are also insane. Our Secretary of Treasury is a blooming idiot. Otherwise they would know our country is on a downhill slippery slope and picking up steam.

Each week, we see the price of goods increase, yet the value of our dollars decline. The average wife use to take home 4 or 5 bags of food for what she pays for one or 2 now. Gas has doubled in less than 3 years, and will keep climbing…people are sacrificing food and medicine in order to drive down the block.

The American and his love for the automobile will never end.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know this either. Just walk into any WALMART’s, since that is the only store in any American town now. I challenge you to find just 20 products that were MADE IN THE USA…..

I was in a WALMART’s recently looking for an American flag…..now at this point, you must be thinking it wasn’t made in the USA…..Your right, it said MADE IN CHINA.

Dr. Duden is correct when he said we have placed ourselves in this position. We have done this by allowing the Unions to demand and get more and more from the company thereby driving the cost of American goods and services so high that foreign companys can move in and take a market over.

I had a complaint the other day about a product I thought was made in the USA. I called the 800 number and you guess it…..I was talking to someone in INDIA. It’s getting pretty bad when the complaint departments move overseas.

This has not been an overnight thing though. It has taken over 50 years of erosion of American businesses to accomplish this trick, but anyone over 60 years old is witness to this slow decay.

I lay the blame for most of this at the foot of greedy unions which demanded more in wages for their workers than the worker produced in labor. Companys had no choice, but to move to a more friendly environment. After all, a company is suppose to make money, not lose it.

Now as Dr. Duden has so plainly stated, ‘we must pay the piper”. The music has played, and we have enjoyed it for over 50 years, but now we must wake up to reality and come down to earth.

We have seen hints of this coming for a long time, yet our “natural-born idiots” in Washington have turned a blind eye and deaf ear to the reality that was on the horizon…….now the sun is ready to sink on the American dream.

Then rise again on the American nightmare.

But like Dr. Duden, I think there is still a slim chance we can save ourselves. The process will be a painful one though, and I question if our leaders have the guts to tackle it. I do think China, India ,and all the other countries that are now thinking of dumping the dollar will think long and hard before they do this.

Such a move would bring very serious world problems like never before seen. I question if the thinking nations really want that. But then again, these same nations have been sending America stern messages for a long time to get our FISCAL HOUSE IN ORDER.

As usual, the ugly American ignored them.

We are now living in troubled times. I look forward to reading part two of Dr. Duden’s article.

    Well put.

  33. Thank you for providing a forum that allows free speech, CW.

  35. Romney was not my choice but I will brake both legs and crawl the rest of the way to vote for Romney for president! Romney has an invested reason to save our country from that kenyan fraud and that is one wife, five sons, five daughter-in-laws and eighteen PRECIOUS grandchildren. And I do believe that he loves freedon and love of our wonderful AMERICA! I also believe that he has a whole lot of wealthly people who also feels the same way and will dig deep into their pockets to help save our country.
