I guess the Obama camp was resting under the false illusion that most of Obama’s corruption buddies were in prison or going through a lengthy appeal process that will inevitably drag on through the election cycle and stay out of the news. I apologize to you and everyone else who do not like my long posts, or that I have a bunch of posts together, but being an “off shift” person, I have a limited time (usually when I get home from work and am waiting on the wife to get home, or before work while dreading going in, but VERY grateful I have employment), and I am trying to “stuff” my comments in to a short period of time.
Besides, there just are not a bunch of folks blogging at 6:45 to 8:00am (except Zach always stops by for his morning greeting, thanks Zach).

I wonder if Judge Malili will wait until Friday at 5pm to release his orders and go on vacation to keep from being called a racist by the press.

I can remember when I was delivering magazines for a living and EVERY time there was “bad news”, it would be given on the last day of the week, and the next week the “boss” would take vacation to give the employees time to cool down.

Hey All,
I have to relate a story.
We have been getting calls for about the last month about some “no cost” benefits my wife gets from her union at work.
Of course the calls came right during my sleeping time, and I let my wife handle them, but they kept calling and telling us they would be in our area between 2 and 10pm.
Well, I sleep during the morning hours (9:30am until supper time and then back to sleep around 1:00pm until I wake up for work). The wife sleeps between probably 4pm until she has to wake for work, so we really aren’t awake at the same time except for between 8 and 9:30am.
Anyway, three people called for the same thing and each time she’d tell them that we were NOT available during the times they would be in our area.
Tuesday, I happened to be up and a man knocked on our door and asked if my wife was here, and I told him that she was sleeping, and he asked when she would be getting up, and I told him not until late. I told him that I wasn’t waking her (you try waking my wife up and see what happens!!).
To cut this short, yesterday we finally got together to learn about these “no cost” benefits, and it turns out the union had given us a “gift” of 3 grand of life insurance for my wife and 2 grand for me. Isn’t that nice?
So of course these “no cost” benefits came with a “presentation” about how we needed MORE than the “gift” the union was giving us.
He plugged in his lap top and showed us a video of none other than Richard Trumpka talking about how good this certain company was.
The “salesman” said something to the effect that Trumpka’s “endorsement” was “pretty big”.
I looked him dead in the eye and said, That’s a matter of opinion, I know about Trumpka.
Needless to say, the “salesman” didn’t mention him again, but kept asking us for a decision on whether we wanted more life insurance, and I told him that this wasn’t a decision that we would make right now, that this is something the wife and I need to discuss, and that we’d get back with him.
He told me that he couldn’t guarantee that he’d be in the area for much longer, and I told him that when we made our decision, and if we decided to go with his company, and he couldn’t come by with the paperwork, then that would be his loss.
I really do not like the strong arm tactics used by sales people. It’s disrespectful in my opinion, and I won’t tolerate it.
I am wondering what will be on the USURPER’s mind when he gives his speech this morning at the Natl. Prayer Breakfast??

Paul went on EVERY SHOW just about (yes even MSNBC) and accepted responsibility for the content, and said that he regretted that those words were in his newsletter.
Where have YOU been? It was about a whole week of Paul being asked about these newsletters.

What do you mean “for several years”? We are talking about two or three newsletters that contained these “despicable” articles. And of those, only a couple of lines out of the whole of the article has been quoted.
But the whole thing is moot, this happened in the late eighties and early nineties, and has been hashed out “every which way but Sunday”, and if Paul’s explaination isn’t good enough for you, then so be it.
I believe that ALL of us have said things in the heat of a discussion that we would like to take back, how would you like it if 15 or 20 years from now the fact that you said something was repeated over and over again?

I respect Orly for all she has done for the eligibilty issue, but for the life of me, she comes off as “unprofessional”.
She UMMMS and AHHHS a bunch, and in the hearing I was getting kind of annoyed by her constant “go up (or down), keep going ok STOP”.
Shouldn’t she have had her presentation a little more “organized”? I’m thinking I would have rehearsed a couple of times before going in front of the Judge.

The Department of Defense announced today that WE WILL BE OUT OF AFGHGANISTAN IN 2013…….I have always found it hard to understand how a bunch of rag-tags Arabs living in caves 10,000 miles from America are a direct threat to my security.
I would like for someone in this “current gang of thieves in Washington” to tell me exactly what we have accomplished over there in the first place….other than get thousands of our young men killed and wounded, and billions of dollars wasted.
Being an old soldier from the “brown shoe army” of long ago, It was drilled into my head that “there is no substitute for victory”, and if you elect to fight for a just cause, then fight it too win…….America haven’t fought to win since WWII..

We have to quit worrying about who can beat Obama. Polls show he’s set to lose in a landslide to any Republican and he’s no where near raising a Billion dollars to campaign with. He’s not going to have the number of people rushing to vote for him like they did in 08 because they see now that he lied and they are not going to be voting against Bush again.

Thirdly, I’m not a ‘Bush basher” or a “Clinton basher”…and I’m not so sure any of the 911 “terrorist” came from Afghanistan. I do know that 15 of the 19 terrorist came from our friendly “enemy” Saudi Arabia. I also know that some who were reported as dead on 911, are confirmed still living in the middle east.

I suppose that forcing God’s truly faithful to pay for the slaughter of His creation and His churches to be forced to end their service to the most vulnerable is “following the golden rule”.
Well we can all sit back and indulge in our favorite vice, or we can look at things which are going on in the world with a little concern at least. You might think that a rag tag terrorist in Afghanistan poses no immediate threat to you so to hell with it I won’t pay any attention,and surely he will evaporate on his own. Well Afghanistan is eright next door to Pakistan a NUCLEAR nation, in which just about anything goes…..except US intrusion. So if the rag tag terrorist is lucky enough to get his hands on a device,and if he has enough smarts to know how to detonate it I would say that he has earned MY ATTENTION 100%. Particulary if there is even a REMOTE chance that he could smuggle it somewhere close to my backdoor. So I would suggest that Afghanistan,Pakistan and Iran are indeed three countries that will have my undivided attention for some time to come. Of course we can watch all we want,because there is NO GUARANTEES that either of these countries will NOT TRY to attack us in some way………..proof of that pudding lies in the ruins of the TWIN TOWERS.

I would further suggest that we are all getting tired of being DEFENSIVE,……….but wait a minute isn’t that what has kept the US FREE for over 200 years? As I recall it comes with being a citizen of the US. But of late since WW2 we havn’t won a damn thing because of WH micromanagement, and some real DUMBASSES as field commanders. I have a feeling that Patton would have slapped the faces of ALL of our present day field commanders. Our last intelligent field commander was Norman Schwartzkopf. Up to a point he too was a bit OVERRATED,but he did manage to run the enemy out of Kuwait,and destroy a hell of a lot of their equipment along the way. I hear what you are saying, and I agree that we should be watchful of the situation in the middle east. But my question is, and has always been….are we putting our efforts in the right place?
If anything, our major efforts should be on saving Pakistan where the NUKES are located…..our efforts should be in reforming that country, not chasing shadows in Afghanistan. A half trillion dollars spent, and we learned nothing from Russia’s failures in that country.
And what about India and China?…Today, we learn that both of these countries are now rattling their sabers preparing for war…both have NUKES. The experts are say if there is war between China and India it will be a limited war…I disagree, there is no such thing as a limited war.
We are indeed living in a dangerous world. The answers are not simple anymore.

Like you, I agree that war cannot, and should not be fought with the civilian law rules placed against our soldiers. This is exactly why we never win a war any more….our best hope is for a draw.
These rules are placed against men in combat by those who have never fired a rifle, or witnessed the horrors of war.
I personally think every elected politician should have to serve in a combat zone for at least one day before he/she can hold a public office. If this happened, he/she would think twice before some of the decisions they make.

Just to demonstrate how bad things have become in the Detroit Metro area, the gentleman I mentioned LIQUIDATED a MODERN up to date WEB printing plant which occupied over 190,000 sq. feet. This was one of the few remaining commercial printers in the Warren area, and Detroit as well. Most of the companies like Brown and Bigelow, have long since beaten a hasty retreat to Taiwan where there are no LABOR UNIONS……….. YET!
Further I have been hearing rumors that a very large old publishing company in Dayton Ohio is discussing the closure of the Dayton plant, they too are feeling the pressures of organised labor, along with a rapidly rising cost base. Taiwan will probably come into their discussions as well. The liquidation of the Warren plant put 216 people on the sidewalk. If the Dayton plant closes it will put about 2500 on the sidewalk. Not sure if this is Soetoro’s idea of EXPANDING BUSINESS or not.

Sorry, but I have never heard Ron Paul say anything yet that would assure me he would do anything that would protect us from the encroaching communist menace. Our State Dept. and other government agencies are riddled with pinkos, if not outright communists, and have been for decades. Many are career personnel and stay from one administration to another. They would have to be fired to get rid of them.
Campaign rhetoric is one thing, as we all know, but Paul’s “bold” behavior has not gotten him very far in the twenty to thirty years he has spent in the House. Paul is entirely too mild about our enemies, both within and without. That also includes the Islamic inroads made in high places in the government.
When we are faced with enemies, the Golden Rule, which has been mentioned by Paul many times, is NOT the method to be used. If a person with a cocked gun has broken into my home, how do I apply the Golden Rule in that situation? “Oh, I’m so sorry, but if you lay down your gun I won’t harm you.” Nonsense, and everyone with an iota of brain cells knows it.

jerome, that has been my understanding for a couple of months. Until April, 2012, all delegates will be allocated proportionately. I wonder why FL went against the RNC rules? Perhaps they thought they had it coming to them, because their delegates were slashed in half early on?
Nowadays anything seems to be okay, regardless. Everybody just makes up their own rules. I wonder what (who) created THAT climate?

Bessie, I wasnt able to watch the entire hearings. Don’t know Hank Johnson. I did however watch the hearings on the chevy volt fires. I remember hearing congressman Bobby Rush. I looked up his biogragphy and saw nothing notable. (except of course his involvement with the Black Panthers and radical beginnings and his political challenges with BHO) He spoke like a person who has suffered a stroke or perhaps he has a major speech impediment. I have a hard enough time keeping up with my own representatives and knew very little about Rush.
Can anyone enlighten me?

My point about Rep. Paul being given the “Obama treatment” is in regards to his racist and anti-semitic remarks. Do you ever hear anyone say that that is why they can’t back him? All of the people that you mentioned were people that said that they don’t agree with his foreign policies, they don’t talk about his views on “african-americans” and Jewish people. I don’t think that many people that support Rep. Paul know his radical views in that regard, they don’t hear about it in the press.
Has Rep. Paul publicly acknowledged his role in the newsletters? No, he says that he regrets that they were in there “without his knowledge”. He hasn’t admitted that he had those views, right? When he has been asked about them in interviews, he gets up and leaves. If Newt or Romney had made those very same remarks in the same time period, it would be all over the news and they wouldn’t have any supporters or donors.
I was trying to address the pro-Paul people and let them know things that I haven’t seen in the media.

Julie T, for some reason Paul supporters are unusually thin-skinned and defensive when it comes to their candidate. It seems unnaturally so to me. Every remark that questions Paul has to be rebutted and every criticism has to be met with strong opposition. A little more moderation and tolerance would be in order, I believe.

Ron Paul’s foreign policy agenda is concerning to me, not that I don’t think that he is wrong about us getting out of the business of policing the world, but that he is looks at the world through a pair of rose colored shades. I am getting a bit more isolationist myself as it seems that Eisenhower’s warning about the “Military Industrial Complex” has come true. We need to look very carefully at what our objectives are in each region and manage our military influence with much more discretion. It seems that with each confrontation brings with it billions and even trillions of our hard earned money in “wealth redistribution”. Like I have said before, Dr. Paul’s diagnosis are usually accurate but his prescriptions are sometimes misguided.

Most are young who have been brainwashed by the horrible liberal school system, now they are trying to self- deprogram and going to the other extreme. I say this in a snarky kind of way. But a lot them have the same crazy traits of the occupiers. I think the kids being raised now-a-days live in a virtual world and when they face real life, real time situations, they just don’t know how to react. They have not been taught any social skills, so they just lash out. Their morality depends on how it makes “them” feel, with no regard to anyone else. Just my personal observations.

Any rational conservative should be able to admit that he deserves a place at the table when the Republican convention rolls around. If he had a higher class of person, with respect to intellect, carrying his message forward it wouldn’t come off so half cocked. It is o.k. to disagree with somebody on some issues and still recognize that they are still right about an awful lot. Mickey Kaus of the Daily Caller comes right and asks – What does he (Obama) do all day? Kaus spent a bit of time looking over a just-published piece by Ryan Lizza titled The Obama Memos. While Lizza attempted to somewhat soften the reflection those memos made of a rather disinterested and at times, utterly out of touch Barack Obama – Kaus was having none of it:
What does he do all day? Are you impressed with the image of Obama-at-work left by Ryan Lizza’s “Obama Memos” piece in the New Yorker? The President’s decision-making method–at least as described in the piece–seems to consist mainly of checking boxes on memos his aides have written for him.
…He’s presented a plan for a watered-down tax on multinationals or a very watered down tax. He writes “worth discussing.”
…Finally, he’s presented with a classic three-box-con memo–two extreme boxes (big new jobs package, big new deficit package) and a safer middle box (“smaller, more symbolic” deficit efforts), a matrix clearly designed to get him to choose the middle option. He chooses the middle option.

Don’t get me wrong. I really like most of what he says. I am NOT bad mouthing him. Any of his ideas about this country that he can get others to pay attention to. More power to him. But for my, It’s God, Family, Country first. That includes closing all of our borders, with military if necessary, and kicking out every illegal in this country. That “may” include obama.

I am defending Paul because people are posting LIES about his “anti-Semitism” and “racism”.
I have done what I would consider extensive research on the subject, and can’t find ANYTHING that can be associated TO Paul.
I have read an artcile by some blogger who stated in an interview with Paul, that Paul stated that WWII wasn’t worth fighting to free the Jews.
But the “interview” was all of two questions and it seems that one question’s answer wasn’t quoted fully.
Oh there are hundreds or thousands of artciles that “claim” Paul said it, but those articles are simply a copy and paste of the artcile I FOUND at ynet, and linked the other day, which is supposed to be the “full” interview.
The simple truth is, Paul is neither anti-Semitic, nor racist, it’s just an easy way for IGNORANT people to dismiss Dr Paul.

Anyone who researches as you have, knows who’s putting out the rumors and why they’re nervous about RP. Sometimes it just isn’t worth it to argue with those who ‘listen and repeat’ BS put out by the JDL and other zionist entities. Ron Paul is not my first choice or my last. Whomever we chose, [s]he can’t be another RINO Obie collabator. Many Repubs have been in collusion with the Democrats to hide the truth about Obie. The ruling elites are not against each other; but against us.
I think about 90% of the stuff from Ron Paul is exceptional. We must get out from under the yoke of the Federal Reserve if we are ever to be free.
The stuff about us deserving to be attacked by Muslims, because we interfere with their way of life is just too far out there. People in India have been under attack from Muslims for well over 1000 years. The Muslim attackers have killed well over 60 million Indians. … and its not because the Indians were interfereing with the Muslims. The Muslims saw a target of opportunity and took it. Ask the Armenians, or those in central Africa.
Islam is a belief system (not a religion) that has convinced many of its followers that they must violently overtake the world. We are just a target of opportunity.
I have trouble supporting a candidate with those and other “way out there” foreign policy ideas.
To be fair.. I had trouble supporting candidate Reagan early in his candidacy.

Military-focused super-PAC forms in support of Ron Paul

A new super-PAC that touts presidential hopeful Ron Paul as the natural choice for military voters has registered with the Federal Election Commission.
The group, Friends of Ron Paul for President, says its goal is to “greatly increase awareness of Ron Paul’s Campaign.” The website for the political action committee notes Paul is the only remaining GOP presidential candidate who served in the armed forces, and touts him as the “the military’s “top tier” candidate.”
“If Americans actually listened to the veterans that they claim to respect so much, their attitude would change,” U.S. Army specialist Aidan Delgado said in a video featured on the website.
“But the thing is Americans want to honor the veterans in a very cursory way … but they don’t want to honor the veterans by really listening to what they have to say.”
The 14-minute video shows images of planes hitting New York’s Twin Towers on Sept. 11, 2001. It also shows Paul defending his position that the 9/11 attacks were “blowback” for America’s actions around the world.
“Most of the American people are totally unaware of what really goes on with our foreign policy and of the way we’re irritating people. We’re creating a lot of enemies around the world,” best-selling author John Perkins says in the video. The quote appears to be from an old radio clip.
The site also includes a graph indicating “Total Donations by Active Military.” Paul has received almost $114,000 from active members of the military. President Obama is the next highest recipient with more than $68,000, the site claims.
Monique de Leon of Redondo Beach, Calif., the treasurer of the super-PAC, could not be reached immediately for comment.
Paul has at least one other active independent expenditure committee. Endorse Liberty, with treasurer Abraham Niederhauser, disclosed yesterday spending about $392,000 in 2011 after receiving more than $1.02 million and having almost $628,000 cash on hand.
Paul finished last in Tuesday’s Florida primary. His campaign — Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign Committee — finished the quarter having received $13.3 million this quarter and $25.5 million this year.
Paul’s campaign spent almost $15.1 million in the fourth quarter out of $24.2 million for the year. His campaign has no debts and $1.9 million cash on hand, according to commission filings.

Interesting read.. but anyone who is a Paul supporter already knows that the Federal Reserve buys the bonds, then prints the money out of thin air to lend it’s own money back to the U.S., it is the biggest scam ever done on the people of America.. and yet 99% of people don’t realize or know this.. If people actually realized this, they would storm the Federal Reserve and hang the bankers there..

IB, I should have qualified my statement by saying “some”. Now, you know we have had some good exchanges, and I like to read what you write.
Of course, we should set the record straight, as you try to do, but is it productive to repeat it over and over again? See, I don’t think it is always necessary to rebut every post that I don’t agree with, because it is my assumption that there is just a disagreement that will never be bridged.
After all, the content of many of our posts is based on personal opinion, and we all are entitled to THEM. You would agree to that.
Using your example of a mistake as to my state of residence, if you corrected it once, that would be enough. If the error was repeated again, it wouldn’t be necessary to constantly correct it . Just assume that the person may be a little forgetful, or missed reading it.
It has been my experience in life that we don’t have to correct all of the mistaken notions we are confronted with, whether on a blog or elsewhere. “Relativity” and “wisdom” are operative words in such situations.
Actually when you respond so definitely to anything that you consider critical of Paul, it comes across after awhile as being abnormally defensive. It is almost like “tit for tat.” Just a friendly observation, and I mean no harm ever.
It’s too bad that the regular public actually believes there are real terrorists. Now they have the naked body scanners at the Super Bowl. I would like to see a Super Bowl, or even a regular NFL game where no one would go through the machines, or through the pat downs, just empty stands. I think if that happened for weeks in a row at stadiums throughout the U.S. the NFL might change their policy. It’s all motivated by money, but as these people submit themselves to these scanners and pat downs, they’re simply allowing themselves to be trained like sheep to the slaughter. An intensive investigation has revealed the identity of the man whose Social Security number (SSN) is being used by President Obama: Jean Paul Ludwig, who was born in France in 1890, immigrated to the United States in 1924, and was assigned SSN 042-68-4425 (Obama’s current SSN) on or about March 1977.
Ludwig lived most of his adult life in Connecticut . Because of that, his SSN begins with the digits 042, which are among only a select few reserved for Connecticut residents.
Obama never lived or worked in that state! Therefore, there is no reason on earth for his SSN to start with the digits 042. None whatsoever!
Now comes the best part! Ludwig spent the final months of his life in Hawaii, where he died.
Conveniently, Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, worked part-time in the Probate Office in the Honolulu Hawaii Courthouse, and therefore had access to the SSNs of deceased individuals.
The Social Security Administration was never informed of Ludwig’s death, and because he never received Social Security benefits there were no benefits to stop and therefore, no questions were ever raised.
The suspicion, of course, is that Dunham, knowing her grandson was not a U.S. Citizen, either because he was born in Kenya or became a citizen of Indonesia upon his adoption by Lolo Soetoro simply scoured the probate records until she found someone who died who was not receiving Social Security benefits, and selected Mr. Ludwigs Connecticut SSN for Obama.
Just wait until Trump gets past the birth certificate and onto the issue of Barry O’s use of a stolen SSN. You will see leftist heads exploding, because they will have no way of defending Obama. Although many Americans do not understand the meaning of the term “natural born” there are few who do not understand that if you are using someone else’s SSN it is a clear indication of fraud.
Let’s all get this information out to everybody on our mailing lists. If the voters of this great nation can succeed in bringing this lying, deceitful, cheating, corrupt, impostor to justice it will be the biggest and best news in decades for our country and the world.

Bill G, I thought that the Ludwig aspect had been debunked sometime ago but can’t take the time now to check it out. The SS number is indeed being fraudulently used, but I think it was proved to belonged to someone other than Ludwig.
Susan Daniels: SNOPES is right. Obama is not using Jean Paul Ludwig’s CT social security number. He is using someone else’s. And in their delight in denouncing the use of Ludwig’s, they include a new addition to the Social Security Administration’s website that says a person does not have to live in the state for which the number has been set aside. That was never written there before Obama’s fraudulent use of his number was challenged.
Attached in the current information at SSA for filing for a number is the following. “NOTE: If you are age 12 or older and have never received a Social Security number, you must apply in person.”
Obama allegedly got his CT number of 042-68-4425 in March ’77, which can be proven since the person before him -4424 and after him -4429 both got theirs then.
Next is: “Show an address where you can receive you card 7 to 14 days from now” and a web address “to find the Social Security office or Social Security Card Center that serves your area.” Is there a single rational person in this country who believes a fifteen year old flew from HI to CT to get a social security number when he could have gotten his there?

Constantly berating others is not a very productive method of trying to win over sympathy and eventually the votes that will be necessary to out Paul over the top. I believe that some people have no identity of their own and they substitute some bizarre exclusive club of those who have seen the light. Despite the unsavory nature of these individuals, I will continue to listen to Dr. Paul and his valuable perspective.

As you might surmise from my comment, I am AGAINST the minimum wage all together. It hasn’t helped one iota, and should be abolished totally, unless of course STATES want to legislate that issue in their State.
There are 18 enumirated powers granted by the United States Constitution to the Federal Government, and for the life of me I can’t find setting a Federal minimum wage ANYWHERE in those enumerated powers, which means that it is a STATE issue per the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution.
Do you need me to link those enumerated powers?

Hope all is well with you in the “snowstorm” (to you folks in Colorado 2 feet of snow is a little more than a dusting).
Hope you have a snow blower, I got one last year, and boy does it make “shoveling” a whole bunch easier.
The worse problem is having the snow blow back in your face, if the wind is just right.

Just a lttle aside from the political back and forth.
Living just south of Indianapolis, we have all week (starting last Friday night) have had a “super bowl” party going on downtown.
Since I work near downtown Indianapolis, I am grateful my employer is giving us Sunday off (we have to make it up next Friday, or take a vacation day for Sunday).
It has been an exciting couple weeks here around Indy, and with the northeaserners and New Yorkers coming to town this weekend, the weather looks pretty good, and the temps have been well above normal and looks like they will stay above normal for the weekend.
They won’t do it, but they could probably open the roof for Sunday evening’s game, and the folks would only have to wear a jacket probably.
The city of Indianapolis, the County of Marion and the surrounding Counties to Marion County, and the State of Indiana have spent lots of money to make our City presentable, and it sure seems that it was money well spent, the return on the money spent has been realized BEFORE the weekend.
Once known as “Naptown”, the downtown area has been revitalized with a Simon Mall, a new Marriot Hotel (with a HUGE “Superbowl XLVI and Lombardi Trophy decoration on it that can be seen for MILES), a new stadium and a pretty new fieldhouse where the Pacers play.
It’s going to be a GREAT weekend for Indianapolis.
I’m wokring all weekend, but taking Sunday off so I won’t be around downtown on game day.
