“Cellini weighing whether to testify in own defense”
“Lawyers for William Cellini told the judge presiding over his federal trial today that the Springfield power broker wants to testify on his own behalf, but no decision has been made about whether he will indeed take the witness stand.
Cellini’s attorney, Dan Webb, told U.S. District Judge James Zagel outside the presence of the jury that the defense team is waiting until the end of Friday to decide whether Cellini will take the stand.
“It’s a major issue for my client to decide,” Webb said. “Right now my client wants to see how this goes.”
In the meantime, Webb is planning to call witnesses to testify about Cellini’s business dealings with the state teacher pension board.
While testimony today has yet to start, Webb, a former U.S. attorney and veteran criminal-defense lawyer, is arguing to Zagel that some counts against Cellini should be thrown out, calling the government’s star witness the least reliable he’s ever seen.
“He is the single-most non credible witness I have seen in a courtroom,” Webb said outside the presence of the jury.
Webb’s remarks were targeted at Stuart Levine, who prosecutors say conspired with Cellini on the extortion.
Levine has a long history of financial scams and kickbacks schemes as well as three decades of heavy drug abuse.
Cellini’s relationship with that board forms the background of the charges against him.
Prosecutors have charged that Cellini agreed in 2004 to help extort a campaign contribution for then-Gov. Rod Blagojevich from a Hollywood producer whose investment firm had major business with the state teacher pension board.
Cellini, 76, agreed to the plot, the government asserts, to protect his influence and access to the teacher pension board.
Cellini is accused of conspiring with Leveine, another longtime political insider, as well as two top advisers to then Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Antoin “Tony” Rezko and Christopher Kelly, to hold up an investment deal by Hollywood producer and money manager Thomas Rosenberg with the Teachers Retirement System until Rosenberg came up with a $1.5 million contribution to Blagojevich.
On Thursday, Rosenberg concluded his testimony, describing how he turned to old friend Cellini when Rosenberg’s deal suddenly stalled in Springfield seven years ago. Cellini, whom Rosenberg had known for years and who also did a lot of business at the pension board, could figure out what was happening, Rosenberg figured.
But Cellini’s answer left Rosenberg furious, he testified at Cellini’s federal trial.
Rezko and Kelly had put a brick on the pension deal, and the only way to get it moving again was to make a contribution to Blagojevich, he said he learned from Cellini.
“I screamed and cursed,” Rosenberg responded in a low, even voice when asked how he reacted to the news. “I wanted him to pass on the full level of my fury.”
Cellini is alleged to have agreed to assist in the plot to protect his influence at the Teachers Retirement System, or TRS, where his own investment company had also made millions of dollars.
Rosenberg, 64, who was born in Chicago but relocated to California to produce movies, was relaxed and confident on the witness stand Thursday. At times, he drew smiles or laughs from jurors and spectators during a cross-examination by Cellini’s attorney, Terence Gillespie.
Under questioning by prosecutors, Rosenberg said that Cellini made it clear to him in May 2004 that he needed to contribute to Blagojevich or that the TRS deal with his company, Capri Capital, would not be approved.
Cellini told Rosenberg that Rezko and Kelly were aware of how much money Capri had already managed for TRS and that they were angry that “we had done virtually nothing for Blagojevich,” Rosenberg testified.
Capri’s $220-million deal had already been stalled, Rosenberg explained to jurors.
“I didn’t look at it as a threat,” Rosenberg said of Cellini’s remarks to him. “I looked at it as a fait accompli.”
Rosenberg didn’t blink, instead telling Cellini to relay to Rezko and Kelly that he would sooner go to Blagojevich about their strong-arm tactics than make a campaign contribution, he testified.
He also warned Cellini that Rezko and Kelly were going to get them in trouble with law enforcement.
“If there is not a grand jury already investigating these two, there will be,” Rosenberg said he told Cellini. “These two were so outrageous, so crazy, so wild, so brazen it was just a matter of time.”
Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher Niewoehner then asked Rosenberg how Cellini reacted to his ire.
“He was nervous,” Rosenberg quickly responded over the objection of Cellini’s attorney but then was allowed to continue. “I interpreted his voice as nervous.”
Cellini then told him that he “had to deal with these guys” because he was a lobbyist, Rosenberg said.”

Judge Zagel lost all credibility when he refused to turn over the 302’s in the both Blagojevich trials, changing the reason’s for his decisions….In the first trial the request came just after the Harris testimony but before Tom Balaonoff and the Judge said that he wouldn’t turn over the 302’s “without direct testimony”…Which Tom Balanoff provided in the followning day’s but the dumbass defense didn’t request them again until the second trial, this time Zagel stated that he “read the 302’s and there was nothing there”…Ironically, that is exactly what the defense was looking for “nothing”…In then President “elect” Obama’s internal investigation povided by Craig Greg there was NO MENTION of Obama’s conversations with Tom Balanoff…When Obama had his “2 hour meeting” with Patrick Fitzgerald, he brought with him Greg’s report, Fitzgerald said he didn’t want it, to hold onto it until after the investigation…OBAMA GAVE IT TO HIM ANYWAY!!! At this time Fitzgerald KNEW about his (Obama’s) conversations with Balanoff, IS it possible he didn’t

Being in a family for more than 26 years who are directly linked to Cellini says we are looking at a much larger problem. Many will find it hard to believe. The National drug problem uses Chicago as a hug. The family controls $80Billion in drugs as HUGE Drug Lords linked to the CIA. Chicago is a Drug Hug. Former Governor Thompson while Governor according to the person who dropped off bags of cash was receiving weekly drug money.
Dan Webb is linked to Thompson and Cellini is known to be linked with Tony Rezko and Chris Kelly. Kelly’s death wasn’t an accident or suicide but a well planned execution, everyone needs to know how this is done to understand.
What most don’t realize is they are well linked together and help each other out. My second son was working for Rezko prior to when he was indicted. Luckly he decided to get out before the fireworks started.

Knowing the Illinois Drug sys size helps supports why armies of criminals are required to manage and protect those involved. The larger the business the more need to protect the product components including processing. This staggering sized International Drug Business is no different but requires everything to run under everyone’s radar. A larger business requires more people. The protection armies are working to protect Cellini. Chris Kelly is gone or he would have harmed them. Willow Creek is a nesting place for the Drug Army, CIA operatives and those mentioned above as other churches are harboring these armies too.

Drug Planes (like Adreani and O’Connor’s Plane) flew Hybels around weekly to other churches in their association. Employment for driving the Drug shipment from Mexico to Illinois could be gained if you attended Willow Creek. Clinton as Governor with Hillary where linked to the Drug System.
The Drug business is loaded with cash. The armies a sort of commune style life with owning many homes in many areas. It’s not unlike them to own more than 15 homes close together in any one area. When the police come many scatter to other homes. It’s estimated that for more than 20 years more than 80 people have been quietly murdered. They have an assortment of routines that are repeated hoping to destroy your ability to move forward.
Big Financial groups are at the TOP. The lower level managers are caught but it’s the High Level Bank Administrators who are involved. The CIA protects these people especially those who handle their Drug money. You won’t hear about this because the News Papers have CIA Operatives working within to keep certain information quiet. Having groups of criminals living together allows branching out with additional criminal activities. Using spy techniques often w/credentials and drug Banks allows them to learn your complete financials. With builder’s connections and efforts to push a neighbor into financial ruin provides opportunities to grab their homes. Routines causing financial ruin include plugging up plumbing, messing with the car and tires, and a lot more.
Targeted victims for financial ruin are watched 24/7. Family discussions for running errands at home are overheard allowing a small pack of neighbors to follow you around. Financial ruin includes credit areas combine selected credit groups to work together on your problems. Customers of the Drug system can only purchase if they can pay. Banks, credit groups and Drug army working together assist in providing a working environment.
Remember “Dial A Rock”? It was broken up by the FBI a little while ago. The family I was in where directly involved. It’s thought the cell phones used were Government phones such as Tracphone. The software used in a Tracphone is built by an Israel company and there are reports about links with Israel and the International Drug system. Take it for what it’s worth!
Micro snooping is exceedingly dangerous as we live our lives not worrying someone is taking advantage of us. There isn’t anywhere to escape micro-snooping especially when those watching follow and monitor your communications 24/7. Cherry picking for the best vulnerability leaves you without warning or a way to escape. Poison and other devious means are their favorite for harming you. Methods used focus on not getting caught.
Please note that the “Right People” are involved with removing this problem. The Pentagon hires Hackers to discredit Whistleblowers so I expect many interesting comments but they won’t add up to much. Remember, there is enough proof to end questions but that will happen at an appropriate time. Everyone should be more concerned with what the proceeds of the drug system takes care of. I learned this in the mid 90’s while married.
