“Donald Trump learned the hard way this week that if you’re going to call on the president to release his official birth certificate, you’d better do the same.
Trump, who has been putting pressure on Obama lately to make public his long-form birth certificate from Hawaii, decided to set a good example and release his own on Monday. Only problem was, the document that Trump provided to the conservative Website Newsmax wasn’t his actual birth certificate, but rather a “hospital certificate of birth.”
On Tuesday, Trump, who is contemplating a presidential run in 2012, sought to correct the oversight, providing a copy of his official birth certificate issued by the New York City Department of Health to ABC News.
It shows that “Donald John Trump” was born June 14, 1946 in Jamaica Hospital in Queens.It lists his father as Fred C. Trump and his mother as Mary Mac Leod. The date of the report is listed as June 14, 1946.
The image came with an accompanying memo from a member of Trump’s staff.
“A ‘birth certificate’ and a ‘certificate of live birth’ are in no way the same thing, even though in some cases they use some of the same words,” wrote Trump staffer Thuy Colayco in a message to ABC News. “One officially confirms and records a newborn child’s identity and details of his or her birth, while the other only confirms that someone reported the birth of a child. Also, a ‘certificate of live birth’ is very easy to get because the standards are much lower, while a ‘birth certificate’ is only gotten through a long and detailed process wherein identity must be proved beyond any doubt. If you had only a certificate of live birth, you would not be able to get a proper passport from the Post Office or a driver’s license from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Therefore, there is very significant difference between a ‘certificate of live birth’ and a ‘birth certificate’ and one should never be confused with the other.”
Trump has been turning up the volume on his calls for Obama, who has been the target of allegations that he was not born in the United States by so-called “birthers,” to release his official birth certificate.
“This guy either has a birth certificate or he doesn’t,” Trump said in an interview on Fox News on Monday. “I didn’t think this was such a big deal, but I will tell you, it’s turning out to be a very big deal because people now are calling me from all over saying please don’t give up on this issue.”

I suppose I should congratulate Michael Falcone for getting the title of the document posted on the internet for Obama as a Certification of Live birth.
The audacity of ends justifying means goes on. Obama has been given a free pass until now and Donald Trump presents a real document that provides information about his birth and the biased media pounces on it as insufficient and lauds the COLB as gospel. This was probably Trump’s intention.
Note the following Orwellian spin from the article:

- Per Hawaii law, a person born outside of HI can obtain a COLB.
- There is no proof that the internet COLB was obtained by Obama.
- The internet COLB has never been authenticated as coming from Hawaii.
- A COLB from Hawaii may be legal for some transactions where citizenship must be proved, but not to insure natural born citizenship status for the presidency.
- A long form birth certificate, such as John McCain produced, is required for most evidence for such everyday activities as playing Little Leage Baseball.

Why CW keeps a blind eye on all this is a great mystery.
This used to be a sort of boutique of interesting ideas – a real conversation going on all the time. Now it feels more like a gang war zone. May I suggest FS look up “conversation” while he has his dictionary out checking the meanings of “banal” and “poseur.”
This blog thrived again with intelligent discussion while the obots were gone.

If you are abandoned on the Church doorstep and subsequently adopted, then the name of the birth certificate will be that of the adoptive parents.
There are sure to be ways around those requirements when there are unusual circumstances, and especially where adoption is concerned.

Most children in that predicament do get adopted, but some slip through the cracks and remain in orphanages.
However, my point is simply that in such a case, the details ont he adoption certificate are the relevant details.
Also, I do not know what happens in the USA, but over here when a baby is abandoned there is an effort to find the mother….
BTW, my husband’s grandmother grew up in an orphanage and that meant finding her records has become almost impossible 🙂

I strenously state that I am an Australian citizen and I cannot stand the sight of Østupid, and hearing his voice makes the air turn very blue around me. I also strenously state that what has been passed as the “list of crimes” would get laughed out of any court. That list makes everyone else look like a crackpot.
What needs to happen is for people to make a real list of what can be possibly used for the purposes of an impeachment. I would start off with perjury, since Østupid committed perjury when he took the oath of office.
Are there any other possible crimes? Yes, in my opinion one can start with the refusal to reverse the moratorium on drilling. This was ordered by a Federal judge. Contempt of court is involved. However, the person committing the crime is Ken Salazar.
The Congress needs to examine whether or not there was a problem with the manner in which Øbama involved the USA in the no-fly zone action. Let me point out that whilst he was still dithering, the various ships were being positioned in the Meditteranean ready for action. That being the case, he should have approached Congress as soon as the possibility arose that there might be a need to take action over the human rights abuses in Libya.
However, there is no war crime in Libya (except that which has been committed by Daffy troops), for which the USA is answerable. The French were the ones who swooped in first. The firing of the Tomahawks came later. This is a UN sanctioned action. To this I add that Russia, China and India have ulterior motives for their stances (like being bribed by Daffy Duck to take such a stance).
On the other hand, I think that someone should investigate whether or not Østupid, through his agents such as Code Pink had a hand in stirring up the pot in Egypt. There is really something very rotten about the Egyptian “revolution”. I am still uncertain as to what is the cause of the rotteness, but it is there…. perhaps it is MB, perhaps it is AQ or perhaps it is the Communists.
There are several M.E. nations facing the revolt of their people. In the case of Bahrain the protesters are Shiite, and the king is a Sunni. In this particular case the king of Bahrain soon discovered that Iran, through its diplomats was stirring the pot. In Yemen it also seems to be a Sunni vs. Shiite affair, and the Yemen situation is far more dangerous. However, in Libya there were no such signs regarding the protesters (the history of Libya and its dissidents provides some vital information). Yes, there are Islamists who are fighting on the front line (good for them), and there are some (probably the same people) associated with AQ and who went to Iraq (probably just for combat experience, who knows, I do not) but a large number of Iraqis are Sufi, neither Sunni, nor Shiite. It more or less explains some of the contradiction. Daffy Duck on the other hand appears to be a Sunni.
As it stands the Daffy regime has been caught out in its lies, big time. Even the BBC and the NY Slimes have been exposing Daffy’s lies. The civilan deaths do not exist. Daffy has been stealing bodies of people murdered by his goons from the hospital morgues and then placing them at the bomb sites. The Daffy goons showed the journalists in Tripoli a site where they claimed civilians died, but nobody could get the story straight, and I might add that the walls looked like they had been sprayed with bullets, rather than being hit by a precision cruise missile. Then there is the case of Eman al-Obeidi the young woman who was raped by 15 men. The Daffy goons have been lying and spinning about her story and the journos do not believe them.
It is far better to go after the things where Østupid has lied than to make up a list of crimes that would gain no traction whatsoever.

You said in your original post tonight that you have read the cw site everyday for 2 t0 3 years. I have done likewise, with sporadic posting. I was forced to take a break the spring of last year. When I returned, it was obvious to me that this site had been overtaken by FS.
One would think an everyday reader would have noticed the fungus as it began and was growing – and be able to identify it and call it by name.
I, speaking for myself, resent being called childish for speaking up against the one person who has destroyed the lively discussion that used to happen here.

Your comments are right on, too. One poster tonight has aligned him(her)self with being on God’s side. That is great, but God resists evil and expects others to do so also.
If we observed someone being unjustly beaten up by a bully and did or said nothing to intervene, we would not be pleasing God, imo. Keeping quiet is taking the course of least resistance but it is wrong. Standing up for what is right takes courage and often carries the risk of being maligned.
One of the reasons our country is in the present, precarious situation it is, is because people just looked the other way and didn’t have the intestinal fortitude to speak up for truth over these past years. It was just more peaceful not to make waves. Now we are paying the price.
Cabby, the New Testament has some answers on this very question. Whilst people will highlight the “turn the other cheek” admonition, they forget about some of the parables that tell us to be doers. For example the parable of the Good Samaritan. The only man who was willing to do anything for the man who had been beaten and left for dead was the Samaritan. The others turned away from him.
Passiveness usually ends up as aggression. Many people are passive-aggressives. Being assertive means standing up for oneself but without the aggression. Political Correctness is a form of bullying. We need to stand up against PC and we also need to stand up to those who will throw their weight around in various lists.
This is not the first time that I have used these methods on people who are bullies, and who spread their bigotry and lies. I find the best way of dealing with such bullies is to ignore them, talk around them, and then watch as they explode.

With Trump having backed Hillary (Trump Hearts Hillary), it makes perfectly good sense that the ultimate Pair of game players could be behind this breaking of the BC issue by Trump.
