We apparently have only had access to about 2 percent of the wiretap evidence in the Blagojevich trial. In one of the wiretaps Blagojevich reveals the truth about Obama and Rezko.
All of the wiretap evidence should be released and put before the public. That is just what the Blagojevich defense is requesting.

“Attorneys for impeached Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich continued their barrage of pretrial motions with a new one Thursday that asks a federal judge to lift a court-ordered seal on all evidence, including hundreds of hours of secret FBI wiretap recordings.
The seven-page motion filed at the U.S. District Court in Chicago early Thursday — two months before Blagojevich’s corruption retrial is slated to start — argues the two-year-old order barring the public release of evidence impairs Blagojevich lawyers’ more than prosecutors.
“It is a fundamentally unfair playing field,” the motion says.
Blagojevich, 54, faces an April 20 retrial on 23 charges, including that he tried to sell or trade an appointment to President Barack Obama’s vacated U.S. Senate seat. He’s also accused of trying to shake down donors for campaign cash. At his first trial, jurors deadlocked on all but one count of lying to the FBI.
Of hundreds wiretap recordings, only a small percentage were played at the first trial. The rest are barred from release by the seal order, including recordings of conversations between Blagojevich or his aides with prominent public figures not accused of any wrongdoing in the case.
Thursday’s filing also accuses the government of selectively releasing out-of-context excerpts before the first trial that “poisoned the jury pool,” arguing that the seal — called a protective order — makes it impossible for the defense to respond.
“The protective order has only served to permit the government to present half-truths and distortions and has handicapped Blagojevich’s ability to fight back against false government allegations and set the record straight,” the motion says.
In the most notorious wiretap outtake released by prosecutors before the first trial, Blagojevich is heard saying about Obama’s vacated seat: “I’ve got this thing and it’s (bleepin’) golden. . . . I’m just not giving it up for (bleepin’) nothing.”
U.S. Attorney’s office spokeswoman Kim Nerheim declined any comment on Thursday’s motion.
One justification for the seal on evidence, the motion says, was the possibility that making the evidence public could interfere with other pending prosecutions. But the motion says it understands the investigation in the case has essentially ended.
The latest motion is the third within two weeks. Presiding Judge James Zagel had set Feb. 15 as a deadline to file all pretrial motions, but the defense this week asked for another few days. The next status hearing is Feb. 22, during which Zagel could accept or reject those motions.
Thursday’s filing says prosecutors played just 2 percent of “thousands” of recordings at Blagojevich’s first trial. It argues that prosecutors should now have no interest in keeping all the tapes under wraps.”

I like Mr Rove and appreciate his service to our Country. I enjoyed reading his book. He appears to believe in the Hawaiian birth story and the newspaper announcements. He has not opined on the paternity, NBC matter, but implies that one US Citizen parent is enough. By lumping Patriots with truthers, he tries to marginalize them. He honestly feels it is a distraction and interferes with the conservative agenda. He may know more than he is letting on. I do not agree with him. But at least we know what he considers is appropriate to reveal. Doesn’t seem to me that his remarks will calm the storm.

Republicans successfully added an amendment to the continuing resolution that would leave President Barack Obama’s senior advisers on policy issues including health care, energy and others out of a job.
The vote was 249-179.
Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) offered the amendment that blocks funding for various policy advisers to combat what he called “a very disturbing proliferation of czars” under Obama.
“These unappointed, unaccountable people who are literally running a shadow government, heading up these little fiefdoms that nobody can really seem to identify where they are or what they’re doing,” Scalise said Thursday. “But we do know that they’re wielding vast amounts of power.”

Ron Paul may be a maverick in a sense, but it would be wrong to write him off outright.
If you represent the right-wing establishment, chances are the 2011 Conservative Political Action Conference was an event you would rather forget. For the second year in a row, Texas Congressman Ron Paul won the CPAC straw poll with 30% of the vote, beating GOP-favorite Mitt Romney by seven percentage points.
Instead of being received positively, though, the Congressman’s victory in this fun unscientific poll has set various Internet media outlets abuzz, deriding Ron Paul, his supporters, and the liberty movement for which he stands.
While billionaire Donald Trump heckled the Ron Paul faithful at CPAC by matter-of-factly stating, “Ron Paul has no chance of getting elected,” others of the blogosphere attacked the viability of the movement and the decorum of supporters, claiming that such supporters represented a fringe, libertarian streak of the party.

If former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney had won the CPAC straw poll, would any media outlet question the legitimacy of the poll in gauging conservative opinion? Most likely not. For the past three decades, the Federal Reserve has been given a dual mandate: keeping prices stable and maximizing employment. This policy relies not only on the fatal conceit of believing in the wisdom of supposed experts, but also on numerical chicanery.
Rather than understanding inflation in the classical sense as a monetary phenomenon– an increase in the money supply- it has been redefined as an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The CPI is calculated based on a weighted basket of goods which is constantly fluctuating, allowing for manipulation of the index to keep inflation expectations low. Employment figures are much the same, relying on survey data, seasonal adjustments, and birth/death models, while the major focus remains on the unemployment rate. Of course, the unemployment rate can fall as discouraged workers drop out of the labor market altogether, leading to the phenomenon of a falling unemployment rate with no job growth.
In terms of keeping stable prices, the Fed has failed miserably. According to the government’s own CPI calculators, it takes $2.65 today to purchase what cost one dollar in 1980. And since its creation in 1913, the Federal Reserve has presided over a 98% decline in the dollar’s purchasing power. The average American family sees the price of milk, eggs, and meat increasing, while packaged household goods decrease in size rather than price.
Loose fiscal policy has failed to create jobs also. Consider that we had a $700 billion TARP program, nearly $1 trillion in stimulus spending, a government takeover of General Motors, and hundreds of billions of dollars of guarantees to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, FDIC, etc. On top of those programs the Federal Reserve has provided over $4 trillion worth of assistance over the past few years through its credit facilities, purchases of mortgage-backed securities, and now its second round of quantitative easing. Yet even after all these trillions of dollars of spending and bailouts, total nonfarm payroll employment is still seven million jobs lower than it was before this crisis began.
In this same period of time, the total U.S. population has increased by nine million people. We would expect that roughly four million of these people should have been employed, so we are really dealing with eleven million fewer employed people than would otherwise be expected.
It should not be surprising that monetary policy is ineffective at creating actual jobs. It is the effects of monetary policy itself that cause the boom and bust of the business cycle that leads to swings in the unemployment rate. By lowering interest rates through its loose monetary policy, the Fed spurs investment in long-term projects that would not be profitable at market-determined interest rates. Everything seems to go well for awhile until businesses realize that they cannot sell their newly-built houses, their inventories of iron ore, or their new cars. Until these resources are redirected, often with great economic pain for all involved, true economic recovery cannot begin.
Over $4 trillion in bailout facilities and outright debt monetization, combined with interest rates near zero for over two years, have not and will not contribute to increased employment. What is needed is liquidation of debt and malinvested resources. Pumping money into the same sectors that have just crashed merely prolongs the crisis. Until we learn the lesson that jobs are produced through real savings and investment and not through the creation of new money, we are doomed to repeat this boom and bust cycle.

Tuesday night, Rep. Paul was on Freedom Watch discussing the “PATRIOT” Act and the budget battle in the House.
One interesting thing to note about the budget fight in Congress: according to a Politico article, President Obama has threatened to veto any budget that cuts “defense” spending. In an effort by House Republicans to reach their $100 billion in cuts, $15 billion was marked out from Sec. Gates’ budget request.

My Dream pick for President and Vice President is
Herman Cain President (The Only One supporting the Fair Tax that will Save our Economy). He was also in charge of the Chamber of Commerce for Many years. He is the Perfect Link between Politics and Business. He will whip our Economy back into shape.
Lt. Col Allen West Vice President. He is the Only Military Person that believes Islam is a Threat to America and the rest of the world. He will whip our Military Standing back into Shape.

Ron Paul wants to shut down every Military Base in the world and ship all the Military Personnel home. That would bring all fights against foreign protagonists to American Soil. That is my main Gripe with Ron Paul. Maybe the Next President will put him in charge of the Federal Reserve. Palin is unelectable and needs to get her feet wet in Washington. Mitt Romney passed Romney Care in his home state. This is what ObamaCare was based on. So, NO Mitt Romney. The Other Candidates have too much Baggage. Only Herman Cain stands out for President, and Lt. Col. Allen West needs to be his Vice President selection for the above Reason. Maybe Sarah Palin can be put in charge of the RNC to Combine the RNC with the Tea Party.
Also. I think the Supreme Court looking at the Eligibility Law Suit is another Set up like every other Court has done. Every Single Court in America is Corrupt when it comes to the Eligibility Cases. Every Single One. If All Three Branches of the Government were not Corrupt, Obama would have been Removed by now either by Impeachment or Arrest for Treason for Many Reasons. (Aiding and Supporting the Enemy of America and Turing all our Allies into Enemies). Justice Roberts Swore Obama in as President TWICE. There is no way he will find the Eligibility Case in Our Favor. No WAY!!. That will make him Guilty as those who put him into office. That will force him to Resign. No Way that will happen. They (Congress and the Supreme Court) will let Obama Finish out his term, and hope the next President (if we have another one) clean up Obama’s Mess like Ronald Reagan had to Clean up Jimmy Carter’s Mess.
We are going to need a Military Man in the White House. Generals McChrystal, Vallely or McInernery would be excellent choices. Congressman West would be another good choice. If not as President, West will be in high demand as VP.

Drudge has linked this story from World Net Daily that notes the odd decision by the Supreme Court to hold a new “conference” on Obama’s eligibility to hold the presidency.
Let’s research WHY the court could be compelled to do this.
It MUST have something to do with the fact that Obama has no birth certificate on file in the Hawaiian Hall of Records with the name “Barack Hussein Obama” on it � since his original Hawaiian birth certificate with that name was sealed in the 1970s when he was adopted in Indonesia by Lolo Soetoro, his stepfather.
�At the time of adoption, a child’s original birth certificate is sealed away and replaced in the Hall of Records by a new birth certificate that bears the adopted parents’ names and the child’s new name, if a new name is given.
This is what happened to Obama, when he was renamed “Soetobakh” by his mother and stepfather at the time of adoption.
In Indonesia, there are no last names.
�The man who adopted Obama is routinely called “Lolo Soetoro”, but in reality his name in Indonesia is just Soetoro. �”Lolo” is a nickname � but on documents in the West, Soetoro seems to have used the name “Lolo Soetoro” because he needed to complete a first and last name line on documentation.
There are a couple names that could appear on the birth certificate Hawaii has on file for the current US President because of the odd circumstances involved in Indonesian names.
�Here are a few options:
* Soetobakh Dunham
* Soetobakh Soetoro
* Barry Soetoro
* Soetoro Soetobakh
The reason Obama has spent so much time and money hiding his original birth certificate is because his adoption in the 1970s, and the bizarre, Klingon-sounding name “Soetobakh” are just so strange and difficult to explain to Americans.
I know in comments on this thread another debate will emerge about what happens to a child when he is adopted, and I will continue to maintain that the child’s original birth certificate that was created on the day he was born is removed from the Hall of Records and sealed by court order�with a new birth certificate created and filed in its place that changes the parents’ names to that of the adoptive parents, altering the child’s original name as well if the parents renamed him during the adoption.
I insist this because I have several friends who are adopted, as well as friends who have adopted children.
�In all of these instances, the children’s adopted names are on the long form birth certificates on file for them in their respective states. Additionally, the adoptive parents’ names are what’s listed on the children’s birth certificates�NOT the birth parents.
�The birth certificates with the birth parents’ names on them are filed away by court order and sealed from public view. �I am not even certain if the adopted children are able to obtain their own original pre-adoption birth certificates without a judge signing off on that.
The man who calls himself “Barack Hussein Obama” was indeed born in Hawaii in August of 1961�but his legal name is either Barry Soetoro, Soetobakh Soetoro, Soetoro Soetobakh, or Soetobakh Dunham.
There are myriad very messy constitutional and legal issues that arise from the fact the current US President has engaged in an orchestrated conspiracy to hide his long form birth certificate and actual legal name. �THAT is why so much money and energy has been lavished on the efforts to keep his secret.
I wonder if the efforts underway in ten states (and counting) to require the production of an original long form birth certificate for presidential candidates to appear on the 2012 ballots has anything to do with the Supreme Court’s sudden interest in holding a conference on Obama’s eligibility.
Obama, as president, has turned into another Jimmy Carter in office�but in terms of his adopted name change he actually has something in common with Gerald Ford�who was born “Leslie Lynch King Jr.” in 1913.
His mother remarried, and at the time of that marriage her new husband adopted Leslie Lynch King Jr. and changed his name to “Gerald Ford”, the name Ford used for the rest of his life, including the duration of his accidental presidency.
What would have happened if, as president, Ford decided to use the name “Leslie Lynch King, Jr.” on official documents?
Would they have been legal, since his birth certificate was changed at the time of adoption to read “Gerald Ford”?
This is the exact boat “Obama” is in, since his legal name was changed to Soetobakh-something-or-another the way little Leslie Lynch King’s name was changed to Gerald Ford.
I have yet to see anyone make this connection in any articles related to this subject, so I would love help researching any other instances of someone ignoring a legal name change and conducting official business under a nickname that’s completely different from what’s listed on that person’s birth certificate.
Has there ever been an instance like this?

I totally agree CA Patriot……I seriously doubt we will miss these scumbags….most of them don’t even read the bill they pass…..they just vote to spend more money without even knowing where it went! A lot of the tarp and bailout money went into the pockets of these lawmakers….some of which has been tracked down in foreign accounts….yes…..when the SHTF you can bet there will be some highly known lawmakers joining Madoff!

Rep. Barbara Lee joined with two House Republicans to introduce a bill Thursday that they say would end the war in Afghanistan.
The bill that Lee, D-Oakland, co-authored with Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, and Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C., would require that any money appropriated for the war in Afghanistan “shall be obligated and expended only for purposes of providing for the safe and orderly withdrawal from Afghanistan of all members of the Armed Forces and Department of Defense contractor personnel.”
Lee noted her lone vote against authorizing the use of force after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and said her concern that it was a blank check for war hasn’t abated since. Had Americans known we’d still be in Afghanistan almost a decade later, she said, perhaps there would’ve been a more robust debate. “It’s costing us $100 billion a year and countless American lives.”
Lee said the bill already has about 46 co-sponsors from both sides of the aisle.

How many times in the past 21/2 years have our hopes been lifted only to be bashed into the trauma of bitter disappointment regarding any judicial ruling regarding Barry’s eligibility? Starla….I love your stance and support your ideas wholeheartedly but we are speaking of humans here…..short of finding a SAINT to meet your criteria I don’t think it will be possible as most Saints aren’t declared until after they pass on……sorry but Paul is our best hope ……he isn’t perfect but he is a Godly man!

Hi! I have to speak what GOD makes known to me and in the HOLY BIBLE, so I cam speaking out what GOD wants to have in the USA government. GOD wants a godly person who will obey GOD first and do GOD’S HOLY WILL to serve in the White House & in Congress, & the the USA Judiciary UNDER GOD’S HOLINESS.
