“Alleged Somali recruiter arrested, linked to Minnesota”
“A 43-year-old Somali man from Minneapolis was arrested this week in the Netherlands for allegedly financing the recruitment of up to 20 young Somali men from Minnesota to train and fight with terrorists in their homeland.
The arrest appears to be the most significant development yet in one of the most far-reaching counterterrorism investigations since 9/11.
The identity of the man, who was arrested Sunday at an asylum-seeker’s center 45 miles northeast of Amsterdam, was not released. But Special Agent E.K. Wilson of the Minneapolis FBI office confirmed Tuesday that the man was arrested in connection with the ongoing counterterrorism investigation that began here when young men began disappearing in 2007.”
“According to the Dutch statement, U.S. prosecutors suspect the man of bankrolling the purchase of weapons for Islamic extremists and helping other Somalis travel to Somalia in 2007 and 2008.”

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Lowe’s home improvement stores are offering a special 10 percent discount to military personnel and retirees over the Veterans Day holiday.
A statement from the Mooresville, N.C., firm says the company is offering the discount on in-store and special order purchases up to a maximum of $5,000. The offer starts Sunday and lasts the week. Veterans Day is Wednesday.
The company says only people from the active duty ranks, reservists, honorably discharged and retired military men and women with valid identification or proof of service are eligible.
The company says it has 1,675 stores in the United States and Canada and employs more than 12,000 military veterans.

I was furious that Rep. Cao would vote for that bill. But, two things.
#1 – He waited until after the Dems had enough votes already (I watched it occur).
#2 – When I was petitioning my congress woman (D) to vote against (she did) I told her to vote her constituents (conservative).
I believe that is exactly what Rep. Cao did. Is is not a double standard that we want our representative to represent us but when someone else does that – they are a traitor?
PS – I don’t live anywhere near New Orleans.

DenisetheMenace -very good points. Other than philosophical disagreements with this bill, it was not intelligently written, nothing like throwing in every thing but the kitchen sink. Just modify any parts that don’t work, aren’t effective etc. To me the bill was just a “mess” that Nancy Pelosi wanted to jam down peoples throats, I think when people try to please everybody, they end up pleasing nobody. I think our country can do much better with a logical well thought out bill, not some power play DC in your face fiasco.

Chest pains, dizzy spells, 25 lbs weight loss. Yes that’s in keeping with the fact that this man’s health has been deteriorating since late last year.
Both those symptoms can add up to many more diagnoses than just lung cancer, eg. cocaine abuse etc.
Things have been tough for him and he doesn’t have the constitution to stand up to the pressure, so I guess we’ll wait and see.

I realized I failed to include this link with my post yesterday about “Federal Regionalism.” Though this information may seem old at first glance, it is very relevant to what we see happening today. The 10 regions (that are to replace the 50 states) are the known to us as FEMA regions. Now it starts to get interesting.

I found this Youtube video that does a good job explaining the historical account of “federal regionalism” as it relates to a key factor of federalizing law enforcement.
Unbeknownst to some, after Hurricane Katrina, George Bush federalized the National Guard, removing the governors as the sole commanders in chief of local guard units during emergencies within the state. The gov’s were not happy with this loss of state power!

Understanding this is important because it’s speculated that we’ll see lines of these regions redrawn – not necessarily a reduced number of regions – for the control of many resources.

What I’ve noticed is on many issues, they’ll say “government controlled” whatever. Most recently the whatever was healthcare. In actuality it is FEDERALIZED healthcare. They also use the word “nationalized” – such as with the car companies. They were FEDERALIZED.
Much has been federalized. Most recently – Sept I believe – you’ll remember the waterways /wetlands were.
Listen how the MSM uses these words interchangeably. It’s interesting.

it was just a random show I happened to tune in to. I don’t even remember the name. Guess you could say it found me. I tuned in during the last 10 min of the show, and a caller happened to be on talking about this. I put that together with a brief mention of something similar I heard on Dr. Winn Parker’s broadcast on Republic Broadcasting Network this past weekend. Then I started digging. I am still putting all of it together, but…as I said to Dennis in prior post, it is a big piece of the puzzle.
The Ford Foundation doesn’t spend 10 years and a cool $25 million on 40 drafts of a new Constitution for grins. I believe it was their road map to where we are today. The real kicker is that was OUR $25 million – tax payer funded.
This is where the push came from for a Constitution Convention (Con-Con). It’s also why many fear a Con-Con. We all know they didn’t just start out with this random idea of a take over without mapping it out first.

The poem Flanders Field brings tears to one’s eyes. My father fought in WWII. It changed his life forever in both good and bad ways, but it did change it. I learned something very deep from it. When I think of all these young men in Afghanistan and Iraq, it moves the spirit beyond words. Thank you.
Boy, I’m really spilling the beans tonight while I wait for my bompany. You see, I have raised my grandson since birth. My daughter (now 30) got pregnant at 17 while in high school. She wanted to give him up for adoptionl, but I had bonded with him & asked her to please let him stay. She went on to become a heroin addict. Months would go by off & on for a period of 10 years that I did not know where she was, if she was dead or alive. She finally did prison time for stupid, minor stuff. I turned her in (she doesn’t know it to this day) to save her life. She got married to a good guy in August, but my grandson still lives with me (13 years old today).
All that going on, while at the same time watching my Mom decline with
Alzheimer’s until her sudden death in 2005.
Not looking for sympathy, just telling my story.
I better shut up now. LOL
And if you could see my daughter today, you would not believe she went through that.
Even at 30, she gets proofed all the time & is beautiful. I pray all the time that her life continues to go well. Wish I could embed a picture.

They were hard years, indeed & did take a toll on me. I do enjoy my grandson, but at the same time grandma shouldn’t be the “mean” one who has to say no. But,nonetheless, it was my choosing to take custody of him. People told me at the time that I was being selfish. But how does one care for a newborn for 4 months & watch their daughter try to give him away to people she never even met.
Oh well, that was a long time ago & I am blessed now.

All her relatives and friends have either fled to Israel or the U.S, but I think she’s right-a gag order is on over there of the highest magnitude.

Take a tablespoon every hour with active symptoms. Swish, swish, swish like Dr. South said. A day or two later, you can drop the dosing back.
Put it in your nasal passages, too.

I have been following the ‘careers’ and unfortunately, the agenda is the same. I’m very old-fashioned in my beliefs and the public philandering just doesn’t sit right with me, nor does ignoring the events that eventually caused America to be attacked. So, it’s the people *and* the agenda.
And I, too, want my Republic back…anyone who stands in the way of that happening, no matter the method, person, or political party, does not have my support.
While I agree that we still have the right to choose, we must choose *very* carefully, lest we repeat what is happening to America now. I think that everyone need to *honestly* look at the big picture and determine who those individuals are who will truly stand up for America, and those who will merely pay lip service while pursuing their own agenda.

Nancy-my grandparents raised my cousins-boy and girl from when they were little. Their mom died when the baby was 2, father ran off -never met that aunt, passed away before I was born. Since my fathers family was big-everyone pitched in. You have no idea how many grandparents are raising their grandchildren due to alcohol abuse, substance abuse-I know it kept my grandparents young. I was furious that Rep. Cao would vote for that bill. But, two things.
#1 – He waited until after the Dems had enough votes already (I watched it occur).
#2 – When I was petitioning my congress woman (D) to vote against (she did) I told her to vote her constituents (conservative).
I believe that is exactly what Rep. Cao did. Is is not a double standard that we want our representative to represent us but when someone else does that – they are a traitor?

What I’ve noticed is on many issues, they’ll say “government controlled” whatever. Most recently the whatever was healthcare. In actuality it is FEDERALIZED healthcare. They also use the word “nationalized” – such as with the car companies. They were FEDERALIZED.
Much has been federalized. Most recently – Sept I believe – you’ll remember the waterways /wetlands were.
Listen how the MSM uses these words interchangeably. It’s interesting.

Boy, I’m really spilling the beans tonight while I wait for my bompany. You see, I have raised my grandson since birth. My daughter (now 30) got pregnant at 17 while in high school. She wanted to give him up for adoptionl, but I had bonded with him & asked her to please let him stay. She went on to become a heroin addict. Months would go by off & on for a period of 10 years that I did not know where she was, if she was dead or alive. She finally did prison time for stupid, minor stuff. I turned her in (she doesn’t know it to this day) to save her life. She got married to a good guy in August, but my grandson still lives with me (13 years old today).
All that going on, while at the same time watching my Mom decline with
Alzheimer’s until her sudden death in 2005.
Not looking for sympathy, just telling
