2010 Elections

What I am about to say may be the most important words I have ever written or uttered.

We have an emergency.

When you are up to your @#&! in alligators, you don’t question why you forgot to drain the swamp.

We have an illegal, usurper, out of control, socialist, radical, communist Obama Administration.

We have a Congress with no regard for the US Constitution, rule of law or the American people.

We must:

  • Change the composition of Congress.
  • Make certain that congressmen know we are watching them.
  • Stay involved to insure that Congress is accountable.
  • Vote in the best candidate that is certain to win.
  • Not allow the congressmen to stay in office who will not do their duty.

We must not, we cannot allow bad congressmen to stay in office.

What I am about to say may offend some people. It is not my intention to offend anyone but to simply speak the truth and do my part to help save this country.

There are one or more emails circulating about voting next year. The one I received today states the following:

“NO INCUMBENTS
DNC OR GOP IN 2010.

ELECT INDEPENDENTS, GREENS, LIBERTARIAN, OR OTHER PARTIES.”

We are in phase 1 of dealing with the “alligators”, i.e., survival. Changing Congress is a emergency measure.

In phase 2, hopefully we will have the luxury of promoting “third party” candidates. If we can promote a “third party” candidate in phase 1 who we are certain will win, fine. However, the Obama camp is expert at divide and conquer and they would like nothing better than for us to weaken our chances of removing their cronies. If there are any good Democrats or Republicans in office or running, and I know that there are, vote for them.
Folks, we have a real serious emergency on our hands just as we had in World War II. I believe that we have one chance to save this country. We cannot afford to make major mistakes. I beg of you to take serious what I have written. Just as in World War II, the fate of our country and future generations hangs in the balance.
Once again the words of Benjamin Franklin urging us to hang together resonate with me as I write this.

Please share this message with as many as possible.

God bless and help us.

  1. CW….do your think you could do a piece on Doug Hoffman from New York….the only Conservative running against a Democrat and a Republican.

We need to get his name out there….he needs some donations…..if you live in New York he is the man.

    http://www.doughoffmanforcongress.com

He was just on Beck’s radio show and he will be having him on tv I think tonight also!!

  2. CW, this is what I’ve been saying. When push comes to shove, we are forced to vote R or D or the incumbant always wins. The best way to get rid of an incumbant is in the primaries by uniting against them with one choice. Second best way is by uniting against them to vote for the opposite party.

it appears that Plaintiffs have raised claims that are likewise barred under the “political question doctrine” as a question demonstrably committed to a coordinate political department. See Baker v. Carr, 369 U.S. 186, 216 (1962). The Constitution commits the selection of the President to the Electoral College in Article II, Section 1, as amended by the Twelfth Amendment and the Twentieth Amendment, Section 3. The Constitution’s provisions are specific in the procedures to be followed by the Electors in voting and the President of the Senate and of Congress in counting the electoral votes. Further, the Twentieth Amendment, Section 3, also provides the process to be followed if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, in which case the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified. None of these provisions evince an intention for judicial reviewability of these political choices.

It would seem that before we endorse anyone to hold public office we should dig into their backgtound extensively, and take a look at each candidate in daylight. We also need to hear a person respond to questions, because if a candidate cannot think on their feet,or even think at all,he/she would become an instant liability to a party, instead of being an assett.

Judge Simandle Has Granted the DOJ’s Motion to Dismiss
Re. Kerchner et al vs. Obama & Congress et al lawsuit filed January 20th, 2009.

Judge Simandle Has Granted the DOJ’s Motion to Dismiss. We will appeal.
    http://puzo1.blogspot.com/2009/10/judge-simandle-has-granted-dojs-motion.html

Attorney Mario Apuzzo called me a few minutes ago. Judge Simandle has granted the DOJ’s motion to dismiss. More on this later. Mario will post some initial comments in the blog but he still has to read the Judge’s decision in full. I also need to read the full decision. But we will definitely appeal.

Like in the Battle of Long Island in the Revolutionary War, we have lost a battle. But we have not lost the war. The real decision on this will ultimately be made by the U.S. Supreme Court on the real crux of this matter … which is a legal issue, i.e., the legal question of what is a Natural Born Citizen per Article II of our Constitution per original intent, and is Obama one. I say he is not. Read this as to why:

    http://puzo1.blogspot.com/2009/09/natural-born-citizen-clause-requires.html

Attorney Apuzzo will comment further once he has had a chance to read the full decision.

We have lost at this initial step. But now Attorney Apuzzo can move the case up the ladder in the court system and file an appeal.

Yes, what is so exasperating is the ignorance and disallowance for the different motions to be seen and heard on their real bases. IT’S NOT A POLITICAL QUESTION! They use the Constitution for that basis when they don’t see that the Constitution itself was defrauded. They take the easy way out so as not to uphold their own oaths. It looks like they start to find their out even before giving the plaintiffs their right to a fair hearing. No one is arguing against any political policy of this man – it’s his legal right to even act that is being questioned. Grrrr!

  18. When I receive these third party promotions, I advise in ‘reply’, now is not the time to break rank, so stay the course, get the bad dems, and RINOs out, think about third party later….you are just weakening the project we are working on…..removing all career politicians not supporting the constitutional laws this country was founded on.

  19. oldsalt77-I agree with Old Salt-we need a list of questions to ask each person running for example: Do you support the entire Constitution? Do you have a criminal background? questions that are most pertinent at the time.
Would you be willing to sign a document that states how you feel about an issue and would do your best to support the legislation involved in it?

If Barack Obama had campaigned on what he has actually done in his first 300 days in office, would he have been elected? That’s the question so many are asking today.

If Obama had told us he would appoint 34 Czars, reporting only to himself and not vetted or confirmed in the constitutional way, building a powerful unitary executive branch of government, would he have been elected? What if he had told us that his Green Jobs Czar had been a Communist, that the Science Czar wrote in a college textbook that compulsory “green abortions” are an acceptable way to control population growth, and that the Diversity Czar has spoken publicly of getting white media executives to “step down” in favor of minorities?

If Obama had told us he would take over the automobile industry faster than any socialist dictator ever nationalized an industry, fire the CEO of General Motors and replace him with a Democratic Party campaign contributor, would Obama have been elected?

If Obama had campaigned on closing down thousands of profitable car dealers, nearly all Republicans, would we have believed that this vindictive financial retaliation against those who didn’t vote for Obama could happen in America?

If Hugo Chavez, the Communist who nationalized most of Venezuela’s industries, had said before the election that “Comrade Obama” would nationalize the U.S. automobile industry and “end up to his right,” would anybody have believed it? If talk shows had warned against such a socialist takeover, would the Obama-loving media have accused them of McCarthyism?

If Obama had told us he would spend $3 billion in a Cash for Clunkers program that would use taxpayers’ funds to buy mostly foreign cars and grind up the used American cars traded in to make them unusable, would he have been elected?

If Obama had told us that his Stimulus package is a sham because it does not create private-sector jobs (as a tax cut would do), so that the unemployment rate has risen to nearly 10 percent, with 15 million Americans unemployed plus another 11 million underemployed, could he have been elected?

If Obama had told us his Supreme Court pick would be a woman who said repeatedly that a “Latina woman” would make better decisions than “a white male,” that his pick for chief State Department lawyer would be a transnationalist who wants to integrate foreign law into law binding on U.S. citizens, and that his pick for Regulations Czar argues that animals are entitled to have lawyers to sue humans in court, would Obama have been elected?

If we had known that Obama would be totally incompetent as commander-in-chief of his chosen war in Afghanistan, and would not speak to the general in the field for 70 days, ignoring his dire report for six weeks, would Obama have been elected?

If Obama had told us he would have the government guarantee 90 percent of all U.S. mortgages, imposing $5 trillion in off-budget debt on U.S. taxpayers who had faithfully made their own mortgage payments, would he have been elected? And what if Obama had told us he would have the taxpayers take over 80 percent of all student loans at a cost of $1 trillion over the next decade?

If Obama had told us that he would make the U.S. government a major shareholder in Citigroup (one of the world’s largest banks), would you have believed he could get away with this socialist takeover?

If Obama had admitted that his health care plan would include the same provisions for which he ran negative TV ads against Hillary Clinton (a federal mandate requiring every American to buy health insurance) and against John McCain (a tax on high-cost employer-based plans), would Obama have been elected?

And what if Obama had told us that his federal health plan would pay for all abortions without regard to the Hyde Amendment, and provide full health care (including private doctor visits) to immigrants without requiring proof of legal residence?

If Obama had campaigned on increasing federal spending and debt from a multi-billion-dollar level to multi-trillions, would he have been elected? And what if Obama had told us that his promise to “spread the wealth around” would balloon his first year’s budget deficit to $1.6 trillion?

If Obama had told us that his promise to “spread the wealth around” meant wiping out the Republican welfare reform of 1996 and increasing annual welfare spending by 39 percent to almost $1 trillion a year by the end of his first term, would he have been elected?

If Obama had declared during his campaign that his first major speech abroad would be to the Muslim world, and that he would proclaim in Muslim Turkey that “one of the great strengths of the United States is . . . we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation,” would he have been elected?

  21. Willie Sutton could write a book entitled The Audacity of Bank Robbery. If you follow the governments logic with Obama and his many Constitutional issues, criminal background ACORN, SEIU, ss # numbers and more to come I’m sure, every person in jail should be freed. You committed a crime but you did it in an audacious way so your reward is– Wille you get to keep the money, Obama you get to keep pretending you’re potus. On what planet does this make any sense?
    http://www.banking.com/aba/profile_0397.htm
“Why did I rob banks? Because I enjoyed it. I loved it. I was more alive when I was inside a bank, robbing it, than at any other time in my life. I enjoyed everything about it so much that one or two weeks later I’d be out looking for the next job. But to me the money was the chips, that’s all.”
Yet, by appropriating the quote sufficiently for a title for his second book, Sutton started a chain reaction that continues to this day. This is not the first time the truth was pointed out. Yet the myth persists.
Ironically, for the man who could bust out of high-security prisons, escape from a fiction has proven not only impossible, but self-inflicted as well. The day Where the Money Was took its name, Willie Sutton was handcuffed to a lie for eternity.”

  24. JJ-much as I would love to see a third party, I agree it would dilute the process-it would be too dangerous at this time. We all Dems and Reps need to get the party to “physician heal they self”. In my district a former military person is running– as a registered Dem, I am going to vote for him a Republican. I like his views. He is a clean, honorable decent person. I am more than willing to give him or someone like him a chance. As you can surmise we Democrats are extremely disgusted and ashamed of the Obama regime. Other than his Constitutional issues, this extremely heavy handed use of power makes me sick, along with the dreaded and evil Nancy Pelosi. Reid is just common ordinary corrupt.

  25. JJ, et al.
Do not be divided and conquered!
The Congress must be changed in composition and attitude.
Even voting in Rep you do not like will for the moment stabilize the balance of power.

  26. Cw & friends –

I’ve been following the Leo Haffey situation here, and contacted Lamar Alexander to take action against these thugs and ensure a fair trial for Mr. Haffey. I have not received a reply, but this morning found this: “Alexander to White House: Don’t Create ‘Enemies List.” There is no specific mention of Leo Haffey by Alexander, but perhaps this is a beginning.

CW, thanks for everything you do. When all is said and done, and we’ve taken back this great nation from Obama and his thugs, history will remember you as one of the shining beacons leading the way back to liberty 😀

  27. Jonah,

well written and not doubt well meaning article. However, the bullet points are merely symptoms of the disease – the illness; chills, fever, muscle ache, joint pain, headache, lethargy, dehydration, loss of appetite…We have to quit focusing on the symptoms and look at what the illness is – the bigger picture. How did we “catch” it, how do we treat it and how do we prevent it from happening.

Our time left is precious. The bullet points CW has posted above are critical to the way out.

as scary as it seems, a third party is critical to breaking up this monopoly in Congress.

Iceland is having much success with their new party in being a critical part of their survival.

We have to move our cheese! We can’t keep going down the same path and expecting a different result.

NPR-has a very good article re: ACORN and its continuous nefarious activities. If they have ZERO tolerance in schools, we should have ZERO tolerance for this in our government. They should have been completely out 15 scandals ago. Not only corrupt, way beyond corrupt. Once upon a time adults were called upon to set a good example for the youth of our nation. ACORN, Obama etc. are sending a message crime is ok, if caught just keep on going and act as if the person who caught you is the guilty party. The government in this case took on the role of enablers.
‘Republicans, who want to make sure ACORN is cut off from receiving any additional funding from the federal government, say they will be watching.

“Re: Re: Politicized Justice Department, Chapter [I’ve Lost Count]:
The 14th Amendment Right to the Democratic Party”
    by Andy McCarthy

I think everything Hans von Spakovsky writes is great — as an old Criminal Division guy from New York, I can say that no one knows the Civil Division side of DOJ like he does. But even by Hans’s high standards, the article that K-Lo linked to regarding the bare-knuckles partisan politics being played by DOJ’s Civil Rights Division stands out. He hits the nail on the head here:

Disturbingly, the Civil Rights Division attorneys’ action [in the Kinston, North Carolina case] rests on the presumption that blacks simply cannot be trusted to make their own decisions as to which individual candidates to support, and will be presumed to vote against their own self-interest unless candidates on the ballot have the “right” party label. This approach to enforcement stands the Voting Rights Act on its head and is anathema to all of our constitutional requirements for fair elections.

Bottom line: A 65 percent African-American district, which voted overwhelmingly in favor of Barack Obama, passed a non-partisanship provision by a two-to-one margin, yet the Civil Rights Division decided it knew better and, using an unconstitutional law, dictated its terms. Like our moralizing Attorney General likes to say, “In things racial, we always have been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentialy a nation of cowards.” If that’s true, then Eric Holder’s own Civil Rights Division is Cowardice Central. It shouldn’t have taken much courage to let Kinston be Kinston.

    “The Politics of (In)Justice:
    Obama’s patronizing Civil Rights Division”
    By Hans A. von Spakovsky

Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act may not look like a political weapon. But in the hands of certain government lawyers, that’s exactly what it has become.

It requires certain (mostly Southern) states to get “pre-clearance” of their voting-rules changes from the Justice Department. The problem, as I have written before, is that the liberal career lawyers in the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division have converted the statute over the years into a weapon designed primarily to benefit the Democratic party.

These highly partisan bureaucrats have no compunction about ignoring the actual requirements of the law. And they typically exhibit a disturbingly patronizing attitude towards African-Americans.

The latest example of this transparent political mischief has, unfortunately, gone largely unreported by the media. It’s an outrageous objection by the Civil Rights Division to a voting change in the small town of Kinston, N.C. The case involved a referendum by the residents of Kinston to change the elections for city council from partisan to nonpartisan. The referendum passed overwhelmingly in November 2008. But the Justice Department recently refused to pre-clear it, claiming that it discriminates against minorities.

  36. Jonah – thanks for posting Schafly’s article. I have one bone to pick which is WE “Hillary Dems” WERE TELLING THE MSM, which Schafly is one, ALL ABOUT HIM AND WHAT HIS TRUE INTENT WAS. It’s folks like her that ignored us and chose to be bamboozled. She’s a late comer to this disaster, and I guess better late than never.

  37. CW,

completely agree we have to stop the bleeding.

Perhaps I didn’t successfully articulate my thoughts.

More ACORN scandals, revealing more Czars that worship Mao, the W.H. and FOX news spat, etc. are all symptoms – fever, chills, lethargy – of the illness. Yes, we need to know what’s going on. But, by now the patient has been triaged, and now pressure is being applied to the open wound.

    Immediate Treatment Plan:

    Change the composition of Congress.

Make certain that congressmen know we are watching them.

Stay involved to insure that Congress is accountable.

Vote in the best candidate that is certain to win.

Not allow the congressmen to stay in office who will not do their duty.

We have to go after the disease itself – can we or have we definitively define/diagnose it? Is it Obama? Is it the media? Is it Congress? Is it the loss of our sovereignty? Is it the bankers?

I don’t disagree with you and I support you wholeheartedly and am most appreciative. I question if we haven’t defined it exactly, how do we know the kind of representative we need, and consequently how do we hold him accountable?

We know we don’t like what we have now, but I don’t want to “settle” for the lesser of two evils either. That’s where I’m at right now.

  38. Linda from NY

Just Me: Excellent analysis. Thanks for sharing!

I agree with you. “Definition” is where to start!

We need to “define” the criteria we accept and expect to be met through which we can select a formidable candidate and not the other way around. Good thinking…

Although no one could possibly meet all of the criteria, we must get as close to what we want as possible IMHO.

  39. *** There is a newer post with several interesting updates ***

  40. Until campaigns are funded by tax dollars, the one thing that truly matters to a new candidate, especially one with no name recognition, no party affiliation and no personal wealth is $$$.

Money is the beast that drives all candidates unfortunately. We say in the business there are only two things that a candidate needs – money and time.

You might want to give serious thought to setting up a PAC in Virginia. Why Virginia? We have very few restrictions on our PAC laws and the ones we do have lack a lot teeth. Visit vpap.org to learn about the plethora of PACs registered in our state. You’ll be surprised.

Money and time are the chief needs. Then, you want to sit down with a map and target states and/or districts that are winnable. There are formulas to use to learn whether a district leans, swings or is solid D or R. The NCCC keeps these stats but they cost $$$$.

Now that your targets are selected, you have to meet with the candidate to ensure that candidate support your priorities. Otherwise, that candidate will nod their heads yes, take your $$$ and will talk to you later. Therefore, you’ll need to come up with a mechanism to get the candidate on the record and then hold them accountable. Most groups who endorse develop a candidate questionnaire, interview the candidate and then vote on who they will support. This is a norm within PACs, c4’s etc.

Another way to influence is to identify the seats, like Reid’s, and then just raise $$$ to play in the race. This type of influence is what you are now seeing on your tv screens w/all of these innocuous groups advocating for or against the healthcare bill.

There is so much more I could say but will stop here. Hope this info is helpful.

Be sure to vote in the primaries to vote against the incumbent (i.e., the other guy no mater who it is) – Also, cross your regular party lines if necessary. Then vote Libertarian or other independent party in the general election.

Put guerilla posters/signs with this acronym (NOIPR) everywhere.

Also, see GOOOH (Get Out Of Our House) for independent grass roots candidates organization.

  46. The answer is NOT a 3rd party vote. It is something to work towards. They need an introduction and then visibility. This is something that has to be built upon.

Right now voting 3rd party is unrealistic. All it will do in the near future is split or syphon off the votes and we will be stuck with the Dem for another term.

    Think about it. Wrong move.

  47. We have a Kenyan in the Whitehouse,Why has
not someone challenged him on his phoney
    Hawaiian BC.His paternal grandmother wit-
nessed the birth.Later all 3 moved back to
hawaii had his BC “changed” to a hospital
in hawaii to make it look as if he was gorn there!
That my friend is why we will never see his BC.
He is a liar!!If we are lucky he will be gone in 2012!!

95% of congress needs to be removed. How can you tell the good ones? Look at their voting record. Just to be on the safe side vote them all out! We need to have term limits on Congress and the only way to get them is to elect a whole new congress who will put them in place.
Then we need to eliminate the perks that congress receives, retirement at full pay after serving one term, special health care coverage, Nancy Pelosi’s personal 757, and the budgets that allow them. take junkets everywhere. The President’s budget also needs to be cut.
We need wholesale change. We can then reward efficient congressmen with a second term
