“Official Democrat website: Palin pick ‘lipstick on a pig’
Posting with photograph of dolled-up swine made before Obama’s controversial remarks

“The official website of the Democratic Party has a blog posting entitled, “McCain’s Selection of Palin is Lipstick on a Pig,” illustrated by an altered photograph of a pig with makeup, designer glasses and pearls.

Palin is a red herring, lipstick on the Republican pig to distract Americans from the real issue that under the leadership of the Republicans the last 8 years, our country is falling apart,” writes the blogger, Elizabeth Berry, a self-described 49-year-old “progressive” from Texas.

The posting was published 11 days ago, well before Sen. Barack Obama drew sharp criticism yesterday when he jabbed at Palin and Sen. John McCain’s idea of “change” by stating, ‘You can put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig.'”

Obama was speaking at a campaign event in Virginia.”

  1. My dad forwarded me this video and said the man in the video is the son of a friend of his.

  2. John McCain also used the phrase “lipstick on a pig” in referring to Hillary Clinton during the primaries: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMPYkNQlJMM

  3. James.
That is incorrect. McCain was referring to a policy and Hillary had not justed used the phrase.

  4. We all know that Obama is a product of Soros’ money, but, what a bout McCain?

A group that McCain co-chaired, a good-government outfit called the Reform Institute, received $150,000 from Soros in 2003 — when McCain was its honorary co-chair and McCain’s current campaign manager was its president.

In 2002, Soros’ charitable foundation, the Open Society Institute, gave $300,000 in grants to various groups that were defending the Arizona senator’s campaign finance law against legal challenges to it. An OSI spokesperson, Laura Silber, confirms that Soros’ foundation gave $300,000 to the Brennan Center specifically for use defending McCain-Feingold. Brennan subsequently distributed that sum to various groups fighting on behalf of the McCain-sponsored law.

Soros has contributed a total of $450,000 either to a group co-chaired by McCain or to defending McCain’s pet legislation.

I fear that, no matter which of these two candidates win, we citizens on Main Street are going to get sold out to the international financial interests and their partners on Wall Street. Both of these candidates have already demonstrated that by their support of the open ended bailout of the derivatives market by the Federal Reseve.

  5. Thanks for sharing all of your updates, Mr. Wells. Much appreciated reading sir.

  6. I’m not a professional in reading body language, BUT….

did you see the way BO covered his eyes/forehead, when he first uttered the words, “you can put lipstick on a pig”…

very coy.. VERY WELL knowing the double entendre of the word “lipstick”…

even if it had been used before in the past by McCain…. as of 10 days ago, the word “lipstick” had been strongly identified with Palin.

I think he thought he was being clever, show humor, and I think he was calling Palin the “lipstick” and McCain the pig.

If he can plead innocence on this debacle, just think of how well he will do in D.C..

  7. McCain has become quite the politician since he got his party’s nomination… he has proven time and again that his strategy for winning is based on personal attacks and distracting people from the main issues
