Once again we have a moment in history where a small percentage of people in power are controlling the destiny of the US.

Unfortunately, I believe your correct. I no longer see that it will proceed peacefully in the long run. I may not agree with the unmistakable inevitability, but this country is headed towards a civil conflict. It’s tragic really. How many will die? How much destruction? How much environmental destruction? Freedom and Slavery have always been a generation away, and I believe that we are once again closing in on a decision point. The lines are drawn, the country is divided, conflict is now inevitable. No one imagines that Trump got a ‘fair hearing’ in the House. History will point to this as the transition.

The only conclusion that can be made from all of this is that a hell of a lot of Democrats need to go back to GRADE SCHOOL , and this time stay awake during their classes. As you correctly note, this was Trumps duty. As the POTUS he was responsible to ensure the treaty with the Ukraine was upheld and that prior high ranking officials in the US are held accountable. Constitutionally speaking, it wasn’t a ‘right’ it was a ‘requirement’ of his office.
