Again, a study out today by a couple of scholars that reports that Obama actually has the second worse State of the Union success rate for any president over the last 50 years, and that would be Gerald Ford, who wasn’t even elected.
Look at what Gerald Ford faced. Gerald Ford faced a country and a media still wallowing in Watergate. Ford’s success rate was 28%, Obama’s is 30, 30% of what Obama has proposed has actually happened, and it’s going to be probably more of the same tonight. And don’t forget that for two years of his tenure, Obama even had a Democrat-controlled Congress, which makes this 30% success rate somewhat unimpressive. ”

A little truth here? We are behind in starting new firms per capita, and this is our single most serious economic problem. Yet it seems like a secret. You never see it mentioned in the media, nor hear from a politician that, for the first time in 35 years, American business deaths now outnumber business births.
The U.S. Census Bureau reports that the total number of new business startups and business closures per year — the birth and death rates of American companies — have crossed for the first time since the measurement began. My hunch is that no one talks about the birth and death rates of American business because Wall Street and the White House, no matter which party occupies the latter, are two gigantic institutions of persuasion. The White House needs to keep you in the game because their political party needs your vote. Wall Street needs the stock market to boom, even if that boom is fueled by illusion. So both tell us, “The economy is coming back.”
Let’s get one thing clear: This economy is never truly coming back unless we reverse the birth and death trends of American businesses.

Obamacare is now rampantly killing jobs, skyrocketing premiums, and bottoming out wages for the Middle Class across the board. Investors’ Business Daily reported on Tuesday that two new national surveys confirm the majority of Americans are seeing major increases in their premiums, and that businesses are delaying hiring, cutting work, and freezing wages…all due to the “Affordable” Care Act.

According to the article, a recent CBS-New York Times poll shows that 52% of Americans report their co-pays and out-of-pocket costs increasing, with one-third reporting them increasing drastically. And a National Federation of Independent Business survey finds that companies are scrambling to survive the latest avalanche of unforeseen Obamacare costs by taking extreme measures at the expense of consumers, workers, and job-creation. Some employers are even being forced to cancel other kinds of benefits, like dental and disability coverage.
Nearly 75% of Americans say that nothing has changed about the level of health care they require, but that costs are still exploding on all fronts. Meanwhile, more consumers say the quality of care they are getting is increasingly worse, and overall dissatisfaction continues to climb dramatically. There are also numerous Obamacare horror stories and nightmare scenarios being reported.
A recent Associated Press-GFK poll also showed that 69% of Americans have seen their overall premiums significantly increase, contrary to everything we were promised. And a study by the non-partisan National Bureau of Economic Research reported a 24% increase in premiums just in 2014 alone.
Investors’ Business Daily adds:
To be clear, the study controlled for all factors that would have caused premiums to go up without Obamacare. These increases are above and beyond normal premium cost trends. So the net change is attributable solely to Obamacare.
In other words, all the evidence continues to demonstrate that redistributing “free” health care to the poor at everyone else’s expense (socialism) is absolutely destroying the health care system and decimating the economy (even as the oil boom Obama opposed still forces economic growth). As I have noted, every single thing we were told about this law has turned out to be a lie, and the “Republican misinformation” Obama was so eager to warn us against continues to be vindicated at every turn.
Incidentally, polls and surveys from CNN, Fox News, various universities, and health care organizations in 2009 all consistently showed that more than 80% of Americans were happy with their existing coverage before Democrats “fixed” the system. And a closer look at the “uninsured crisis” that supposedly drove this illegal, trillion-dollar health care takeover reveals that it never actually existed in the first place.
Of course, none of this should surprise anyone at this point. In the thousands upon thousands of pages that make up this law and all its related regulations, there is not a single mention of the primary source of exploding costs–frivolous lawsuits. This is because trial lawyers are the second biggest campaign contributors to Democrats. So this 100% partisan law has not even attempted to deliver what it promised from the very beginning.
Additionally, the chief obstacle to imposing socialism has always been self-reliance and the existence of a Middle Class. This would be why everything Democrats support (tax hikes, over-regulation, labor unions, frivolous lawsuits) kills jobs, explodes the cost of living, and makes it nearly impossible for regular people to improve their own station in life. Democrats maximize economic failure and nanny state dependence while indignantly pretending to be shocked and outraged at the obliteration of the Middle Class.
Again, liberals stand for absolutely nothing but Democrat power. All indications are that Obamacare was deliberately designed to crash the system and leave nothing standing but government to rush in and “rescue” us from the imaginary “failures of the free market,” as with their Affirmative Action lending policies that destroyed the housing market in 2008.
No part of this law was designed to make health care more affordable for anyone but the poorest of the poor (redistribution of wealth), as even some of Obamacare’s chief supporters at Harvard have recently discovered the hard way. But as long as leftist RINOs like Jeb Bush continue to be deeply invested in the success of this Constitution-shredding attack on free market health care, it will never be repealed, and the damage will never fully be undone.

What is the deal with these Iran sanctions. It appears a story was “leaked” (by Obama, most likely) that the Mossad is in line with Obama on the Iran negotiations. Netanyahu opposes them and is for the bipartisan bill enacted by Corker and Menendez.
Now Boehner has invited Netanyahu to address the Congress before deliberations on the bill begin.
Personally I put my trust in Netanyahu and am leary of this leaked report.

I have never been a real fan of Limbaugh’s, but I also know that he like so many other people in the broadcasting industry,are answerable to the FCC who grants their broadcasting licenses. The FCC is a US Government agency,and I don’t think I need to say who is at the helm of our alleged government. Most broadcasters are under a great deal of pressure to NEVER enter the SOETORO QUALIFICATIONS ARENA,because if they do their broadcast licenses will DISAPPEAR. So all of the industry COMPLIES like lambs to the slaughter. How Fox has managed to even go as far as their people have amazes me. If you have read some of Dean M.’s comments here at CW’s in the past, there is probable evidence that the CIA was responsible for sealing or destroying Soetoro’s records in order to conceal his past activities involving the CIA (and also to subversively sneak him into the W.H.). If this is true, then it could well be the CIA who early on informed congressmen, the media, including conservative talk show hosts, and even judicial personnel, that his identity and past must be off limits because of “national security.”
Think about it! Who would want to say anything publicly that might affect national security? This explains to me the widespread deafening silence or reluctance to bring up the eligibility issues. This threat has been held over those we criticize, perhaps, to the extent that they fear to tread into these waters.
This could also explain why Arpaio and Zullo are not talking now and are holding up the release of the information they’ve garnered.

I agree with you on Limbaugh, and pretty much ALL “conservative” commentators.
Limbaugh lost my respect and I stopped listening to him after he went on and on for years about how drug dealers and the like should be severely punished for abusing and selling drugs, and then when it was found out he was a drug abuser himself and BOUGHT his way out of it, that was the straw for me.
Maybe he has changed, but I haven’t listened to him since. Levin won’t even entertain the thought that Obama is INeligible, even though he claims to be a “Constitutionalist”. I’m NOT a “Constitutionalist”, but even my dumba$$ knows that you can’t have duel citizenship and be a Natural Born Citizen. Hannity has brought up the subject now and then, but mainly on the line of where he was born, and Wilkow said just last week on his show that to be President you simply have to be born in the United States. Wilkow (who I do still listen to), also calls our Country a “Democracy” even though our Pledge of Allegiance states “And to the REPUBLIC”.
Pretty cut and dried, at least in my view, that those who COULD inform the public, choose not too. The only logical reason I can think of is because what would happen if ALL were known about how and why Obama even won in 2008.
And I have to also state that those on here that try to ridicule us for having a differing opinion, are pretty harmless. They don’t actually mean to come across as so bitter. Stick around for a while and you’ll understand “where I’m coming from”.

Although I feel honored to have you respond to my comment, I have to disagree.
The only “unfair” part of my comparison is that Rush got his perscriptions “legally”, and then became addicted to them and started abusing them. Once he became addicted, he did NOT obtain them “legally”.
Heroin, cocain, crack, pot and the such are NOT legal to obtain, and people become addicted to them and abuse them.
BOTH can happen to “anyone”.

I was also the victim of “them” trying to silence me. I simply stated the TRUTH with evidence of what I was commenting and turned the tables on “them”. “They” changed their tune as soon as I proved that what I was commenting on was the truth.
The difference was PROOF.
Larry turned out to have NONE, except for some “points” rewards letter he got from either the hotel he supposedly stayed at, or the airline he used. (I can’t remember exactly and I’m not motivated to go back and check).
NO pictures of him attending his “Godson’s” graduation, or any other pictures to even put him in Chicago at the time. No receipts, no stained blue dress, no witnesses, no match book from the bar he supposedly met Obama at, nothing except for a letter saying he had accrued points for something.
I’m not commenting that Larry was lying about his encounter with Obama.
However, when Larry suggested that he would go to Washington and have “big” news to release, he had none. Let me jump in here re. addiction.
Most of those who are addicted have used drugs from the get-go to receive a “high”. They like the airy, carefree feeling it gives them. Then they get hooked and are unable to quench their cravings.
That is not the case with those of us who have had to use them for severe pain. I have had four knee surgeries, a broken hip, and several other times when it was necessary to use narcotic-type drugs, but have never become addicted. However, it CAN happen with repeated long-term use.
Addiction which came from the use to get high is different from addiction which came because of long-term pain. Limbaugh and others like him fall into the latter category.

Like you, CW, I have nothing but compassion for those who have become hooked. NatGeo has a program on drugs occasionally, and it is heartbreaking to see how enslaved so many have become. Many started with marijuana and then progressed to harder drugs. They are so damaged that it is nearly impossible for them to get delivered.
…….and that is what I like about this blog. We can say exactly what is on our minds without any threat from the owner of being blocked…..and certainly if anybody would be deserving of such blocking it probably would be me. (Given my remarks about inflatable love goats) and so on. I have also made it clearly known what my position is regarding the sexual deviates within humanity. It isn’t necessarily WHO they are that sickens me it is the thought of WHAT they are, and what they practice that really disgusts,and sickens me. I chose to dispose of it from my bookshelf,EARLY ON. ……and insofar as Limbaugh is concerned I have never been a steady listener of either him.or Glen Beck,but I do recognise both of them for the information that both have brought forward over the years. I don’t think that I possessed much knowledge of the progressive movement in America until Beck devoted a number of TV shows to showing us how ,and where it originated, it’s spread,and continuity through the years into what it is today. I thank him for having done that. He didn’t have to. From time to time I find myself in disagreement with a lot of folks…..sometimes even personal friends here in Indiana. I recognise that other folks might have a different viewpoint,which is their prerogative. I am WHO I AM,and I AM WHAT I AM,and neither will ever change……….at least not at this late date. I stay with this blog,simply because I find people here who for the most part hold the same notions, and ideas as I do. I stand with you regarding how people get hooked on drugs……but at the same time I am MORE than aware that many youngsters are doing drugs before they are out of grade school…….mostly marijuana, but I personally view marijuana as a GATEWAY drug,and many go onto harder drugs……but not all. I have also born witness to what drugs entering a family eventually does to the family. As for people having constant pain, I believe that they ARE prone to becoming hooked on painkillers, especially somebody who has no one to help him/her in that regard. As for Limbaugh, I agree that his addiction was PROBABLY resultant of the constant use of an addictive painkiller,BUT do not believe that he INTENDED to abuse the drugs……BUT I hasten to add that in many cases the person using the drug NOTICES the declining effect of the drug,and it is at that point when he/she should take a look for something else. Addiction CAN sneak up on you. I personally know of a family of 4 who were struck by a train at a crossing, which totally demolished the vehicle they were in killed their father outright,and their mother is still unable to walk,and never will. The two children were in the rear seat of the vehicle but they too sufferred horrible injuries. Both were ejected by the impact into a very grassy area along the railroad right of way,which most likely saved their lives. But both ended up hooked on painkillers. They were 10 and 13 years of age. when the accident occurred, and they both have been in and out of multiple clinics to try to get them free fo their addiction. but without their medication they both experience some pretty hellacious pain, and it returns with a vengeance without the painkillers. At this point they are now a little older,and the pain has diminished somewhat but is still present. Of late they have been receiving injections of a painkiller used in spinal treatments. they are called Epidurals, but they are only temporary. The epidurals are presently being administered by a Pain Management Clinic. Both kids went to live with an uncle who as luck would have it is fairly well off, and he,and his wife watch over them as though they were their own flesh and blood. While I can see the mercy in supplying pain killers, without which a person could end up SCREAMING in pain. If I was the prescribing doctor, I would probably try to keep the pain away,and deal with the secondary effects later.

I believe that I once told you that my wife(now retired) worked as a GERIATRIC floor nurse at a nursing home here in Ft Wayne. From time to time,a patient would be determined to be close to death,and very often an “IV PUSH” was incorporated to maintain a reasonable comfort level. The IV PUSH usually incorporates the use of one of the most powerful painkillers of all,which is often used my the medics on the battlefield as well.
The painkiller I am referring to is called MORPHINE.

I’ll start off by stating that I don’t believe that I try to change people’s opinions, and I don’t think others on here do either. I state my opinion, and then as often as possible, I try to give the reasons I come to that opinion.
On Rush, it is my understanding that he had multiple perscriptions for the same drug from different doctors. He was definately addicted, but he abused the drugs also.
It is also my belief that our mind is a complicated instrument, and just as I believe the mind can create “miracles”, it can also be very destructive. I believe that when you take these drugs like oxycottin, your mind becomes dependent on it, and makes up the “pain” so it can continue to “feel good”.
The only person to blame for addiction, is yourself.
I enjoyed Rush, but when this went down, at the peak of his popularity, it seems that he thought he would be “above” being caught.
I can’t comment on what he has commented on in the past 6 years or so.
I don’t ridicule those who do still listen. I believe the more information you get, the better off you are, I simply choose to get my information from other sources.
Rush is great at what he does, he is an entertainer.

I listened to the audio of Gallups, and to be honest, it reminds me of when I’d go to the State Fair, and there’s always that one amusement where the guy’s standing out front or there’s a tape that keeps crooning,
“Step right up and see the two headed goat, and the bearded woman, and the contortionist, and the fat man, and the three armed baby”, And I’d grab my dad’s arm and plead with him to go in and once inside found that the two headed goat and much of the other “attractions” were things floating in bottles, and the contortionist was some lady in a box waving at us and so on and so on.

As far as comparing Zullo and Sinclair, I was simply pointing out how they have both led us on for what seems like forever, and neither has produced said “universe shattering” evidence.
Zullo is past the point in my mind that would constitute a “reasonable” timeframe for producing said evidence.
Others can disagree, and I understand that, but IF this is what brings Obama down, almost everything he has done will stand.
His two SCOTUS appointments will stand, everything he has done will stand. I believe it’s been over two years now, since they PROVED Obama’s birth certificate is a fake and that his Selective Service card is a fraud, and what has happened?

HonorFirst & cabbyaz — Just got back from a vacation in Big Bend National Park in Texas. I haven’t done e-mail nor blogs for the past 12 days. It was nice to be out of the loop and hear no news. Big Bend is a great place to get it touch with nature. It even snowed while we were there.

If you are covered by an ADVANTAGE plan for health insurance STAND BY FOR ONE HELL OF A RAM from IRS. Your plan can and probably will be deemed INADAQUATE,and you can be fined on that basis just as if you have NO COVERAGE AT ALL.This will happen when you file your income tax return. I am especially hopeful that CabbyAZ will weigh in on this one……after all the BASTARD,at the wackey house said”IF YOU LIKE YOUR HEALTH CARE provider you can keep it”. If you are fined you will also have STANDING. Time for one hell of a CLASS ACTION against Soetoro,and IRS. I’ve heard about the Medicare Advantage Plans taking a hit. I only have two clients now that come under ObamaCare for tax purposes. Most of mine have an exemption because they are retirees.
However, I personally refused an advantage plan and shopped around for a regular supplemental policy, which costs more, because I didn’t want the risk of the former being cut.
The two clients that are potentially affected each have different situations. One had no health insurance whatsoever, so she will have to pay the penalty. This was her option.
The other is married to a person that turned 65 last year, but earlier than that they did get a qualifying policy and had that for part of the year. Their situation is going to possibly be more complicated. I just haven’t gotten into it yet and probably won’t until later in the year. They always get an extension, because there is a lot of work re. a company they own.
This ACA is going to be a noose around our necks for a long time to come, I fear. It needs to be dug up by the roots, discarded, and replaced by a new plan that is NOT socialized medicine in disguise.

I read somewhere today, can’ remember the site or I would post it, anyway, apparently Obama has sent his campaign staff to Israel to help DEFEAT Netanyahu in his upcoming election.
Someone sent a message to Netanyahu that the Prez has 1.5 yrs left in office and there will be a price to pay for his accepting the invite to speak to congress. This must be the downpayment on that “price”
