The Environmental Protection Agency will ask existing plants to cut pollution by 30 percent by 2030, according to people familiar with the proposal who shared the details with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity, since they have not been officially released.

On Monday, NASA and U.C. Irvine released a joint report finding that a section of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet “appears to be in an irreversible state of decline, with nothing to stop the glaciers in this area from melting into the sea,” according to a statement on NASA’s website.
“The collapse of this sector of West Antarctica appears to be unstoppable,” said glaciologist Eric Rignot, one of the report’s lead authors, in the statement. “The fact that the retreat is happening simultaneously over a large sector suggests it was triggered by a common cause, such as an increase in the amount of ocean heat beneath the floating sections of the glaciers. At this point, the end of this sector appears to be inevitable.””

The recent ridiculous and scientifically flawed media claims of large Antarctica related sea level rise impacts due to “unstoppable” glacier ice loss supposedly reflected in two recent scientific papers looks even more absurd when these made up claims are compared against the Antarctica scientific findings of the UN IPCC AR5 WGI climate report.
Recapping the wonderfully informative reporting by the major “news” networks on May 12 about these two Antarctica ice loss studies we have:
NBC’s anchor Brian Williams asserting that these new studies reflect that sea levels would rise by 13 feet over the next 100 years because of the glacier ice loss which was caused by global warming and is unstoppable. Virtually nothing Williams said was reflected in what was contained in the new studies.
Williams failed to understand that the two studies did not say anything about sea level rise projections, made no mention that man made global warming was driving these glacier ice loss results and additionally appears to have ineptly borrowed his made up 13 foot number from a newspaper article (The Guardian which claimed a 4 meter sea level rise) which managed to confuse “feet” with “meters”. What impressive reporting by the NBC news anchor!!
But Williams was not alone in his zeal to invent the alarmist story line regarding the two new Antarctica studies. ABC’s anchor Diane Sawyer warned us that NASA had issued an “alert” about rising sea levels based on a 40 year study of glaciers in Antarctica that showed they were melting so fast is was unstoppable. She warned that low lying states like Florida would be hardest hit with sea level rise of 3 feet (another made up number) or more by 2100.”
“That’s right – the IPCC says that its Surface Mass Balance (SBM) models for Antarctica show that its projected future climate behavior causes sea level to decline not increase!
Furthermore it explains this finding by saying:
“Projections of Antarctic SMB changes over the 21st century thus indicate a negative contribution to sea level because of the projected widespread increase in snowfall associated with warming air temperatures (Krinner et al., 2007; Uotila et al., 2007; Bracegirdle et al., 2008).” (13.4.4.1)”
“Additionally the IPCC AR5 WGI report also shows that the huge Eastern Antarctica area which is the largest ice mass region with 90% of the continents total ice mass, is in fact gaining ice mass by noting the following:
“The recent IMBIE analysis (Shepherd et al., 2012) shows that the West Antarctic ice sheet and the Antarctic Peninsula are losing mass at an increasing rate, but that East Antarctica gained an average of 21 ± 43 Gt yr–1 between 1992 and 2011. Zwally and Giovinetto (2011) also estimate a mass gain for East Antarctica (+16 Gt yr–1 between 1992 and 2001).” (4.4.2.3)
The UN IPCC AR5 WGI report doesn’t support at all and in fact offers clear scientific evidence to the contrary which both refutes and embarrasses the alarmist sea level rise claims made by the major news media and their “star” anchors concerning their ludicrous reporting on the latest Antarctica ice loss studies.”

I checked with a friend who is still involved with law enforcement.He has asserted that in most states a person MUST BE CHARGED WITH A CRIME within 48 hours,if not he MUST BE RELEASED. This is LAW,which NOBODY CAN CIRCUMVENT without generating HUGE potential for CIVIL ACTION. If your lawyer has not been successful in obtaining your grandson’s release I would be looking for a lawyer who will represent your grandson’s legal rights. If the lawyers have failed to act as legal representatives,there is a Disciplinary entity in every state to whom you can file a complaint against the lawyer who is supposed to be representing your GRANDSON. I would make it clear to the lawyer that your grandson is long past the point where he should have been released. If he WAS CHARGED with a CRIME which he did not perpetrate,then it is up to the prosecutor to find the truth in the matter. If you have documented proof of your grandson’s innocense then I would file a charge against the prosecutor’s office backed up by the proof. Remember such proof must be certified as true.(Paid witness).

As a former non-commissioned officer who served in combat with another airborne unit, my first reaction upon hearing of Bergdahl’s desertion many years ago was, get him back, give him a fair court-martial and put him in front of a firing squad. Good, honorable paratroopers lost their lives searching for this treasonous bastard. As far as Mr. Obama’s trade, I will only say, “Dumb trade”.
My final comment on this subject is, I personal feel the actions taken by our government have now endangered EVERY American fighting man where ever they may be…to release five of the most deadly terrorist in exchange for one American deserter is a loop-sided trade in my way of thinking. This will only embolden the capture of more Americans for the same purpose…..
This was clearly a victory for our enemy… and it shows that our government would be “terrible horse traders” and the laughing stock of the old frontier……
Every soldier, when he joins the Army, knows the dangers he faces and every soldier, when in combat, does not expect someone to come riding in on a white horse and rescue him/ or her if he deserts and walks away from his post……
The terrorist Obama released have pledged to remain in Quetar for at least a year…I doubt seriously they will be there next week…..
Now, the blood of every American soldier who is killed as a result of this illegal and untimely release of these top five terrorist can and should be laid right at the feet of Mr. Obama ( or whatever his name is)….
but I doubt that will ever happen either.

The Fort Wayne population has dropped dramatically also. Over the last 6 years over 50,000 people left Fort Wayne. Our newest telephone directory is NOW only half as thick as it USED TO BE!

It would also seem that if his father done so well in PRAISING ALLAH,in the language of the captors then it is possible that Bergdahl’s alleged father might well be a closet enemy of our country as well. If that is the case then it further seems there is plenty of justification for BOTH to feel the bite of a firing squad. Just my own thoughts!
Does it bother anyone that Bergdahl’s father, in his press conferences, keeps quoting the Koran or blessing Allah? Plus there’s the thought that Bowe Bergdahl was captured after he left his post. What if this administration released five terrible terrorists in exchange for Bergdahl, and Bergdahl ends up being in sympathy with the Taliban or worse yet, starts some sort of spy operation against America? I find this whole prisoner exchange to be very troubling. The Obama administration just gets worse and worse everyday.

What I don’t understand is that my brother was in the Memorial Day rolling thunder motorcycle ride. He said there were tons of flags for Bergdahl. This guy was probably a deserter.

What lends doubt to every aspect of this “THING”is that lives were lost searching for that person. That has to be weighed as part of the overall view point. I know how I feel about it but that is only my own personal opinion. I am sure everybody has one. I also believe there is more to the entire matter than anybody knows. The matter might have been cooked up by the WACKEY HOUSE,as a tool which could be used to justify the release of 5 GITMO MURDERERS, two of whom deficated in their hands then threw it at the guards. Why in the hell can’t he get a good Marine released from a Mexican jail where he has been held how for almost six months?
This Marine wasn’t AWOL, but he happened to take the wrong road and wound up in Mexico.
I have not heard anyone in this administration utter ONE single word about this incident and I don’t think this Marines mother can do very much to gain his release.
Here’s my take on why Obama has been totally SILENT on this issue.
1. Mexico is not an Islamic country (or it wasn’t the last time I checked).
2. The Marine did nothing to soil or stain his nation, or his branch of service.
3 There would be no advantage of trading five drug trafficker’s to Mexico for the release of one Marine…after all, America is full of drug trafficker’s now and Mexico certainly don’t want them back. Hell they don’t even want an illegals back !
4. This Marine has not converted to Islam while he has been held in jail
5. The main stream media has little, or no interest in a story where a clean cut Marine takes the wrong road into Mexico and is being held indefinitely for his mistake by a local government who wants ransom money for his release.
Mr. Obama, wasn’t you the one who said “our country leaves no one behind” ?

VA Chaplain Says Officials Ordered Him To Cover Christian Symbols In VA Chapel, “Stop Talking About Jesus Out Loud”
I went to the VA Hospital in Iron Mountain today on business. While there I stopped at the Chapel and found pinky-purple curtains with mesh at the top, covering the altar. (You know the type. They use them between sick patients in the hospital).
I stopped in my tracks, shocked at what I saw. I peeked behind the curtain, and found what used to be the welcoming part of the chapel, the Cross, a picture of Jesus, and other Christian icons familiar to the majority of Americans.
I found Chaplain Bob Mueller, to ask what the meaning was of this change. This is what he told me.
“A couple of months ago, an order came down from Washington DC to cover all things associated with Christianity in the VA. Their solution is to cover everything in all the VA Chapels across the country.”
Chaplain Bob went on to say, “A few weeks ago an official from the Madison VA came down here to tell me to ‘stop talking about Jesus, and to stop reading Scripture out loud.’”
Chaplain Bob also said that the rest of the Obama plan is to send more curtains to cover the rest of the stained glass windows, because there are Christian symbols on the stained glass.

I am at a complete loss to understand what is happening to my country that I dearly love. Each day brings news of another situation where this illegal president has openly broken and defied the laws of this nation with impunity.
His disregard for the laws have occurred more times than I have fingers and toes, yet he simply tells another lie and moves on to the next crisis of his making.
How can the American people be so tolerant of this self-centered idiot, who’s only mission is to destroy all this great nation has struggled for 238 years to achieve?
For six years this foreign national who is sitting in the White House has disregarded all respect for our Constitution and the freedoms it stand for. I cannot comprehend how the American people has let this happen, and why they have not taken action to remove him.
I am a college graduate with degrees in history and political science. I have served my country for 27 years as an officer of Infantry.
Believe me, It hurts like hell to think that all the sacrifices that I, and all other Veterans have made, and all those sacrifices of the still serving member of the armed forces are making have been for the purpose of putting someone in office that is openly, and with distain, destroying everything that every American should hold dear…..
Where did we go wrong? How did this happen in the first place when so many politicians knew of this usurper’s background and shady history? Why wasn’t the failsafe checks that have been in place since George Washington was president used to question this man, who by his own admission was not qualified for the office he was seeking?
There is a hidden power at work here that is far greater than Obama. Far greater than the politicians who we sent to Washington as our representatives. Far greater than the law enforcement officers who are suppose to enforce our laws according to the Constitution. Far greater than the judges who set in evaluation of these laws. Far greater than the fourth estate who’s job it is to keep the politicians honest.
What, and who could this hidden power be? Who are the real movers and shakers in this country which is suppose to be a Constitutional Republic with the people being the real power?
Obama isn’t making all these illegal decisions without knowing that someone, or something far greater than him, and far greater than the toothless Congress, is protecting his every move.
What, or who could this be? Who is this secret government, and who, or what gave them the power to control the free people of this nation? I don’t recall voting for such a government, did you?
Is our beloved constitution dead? Did it die from lack of interest by the people to protect it, or was it intentionally murdered by those now in power? If it isn’t dead, why are so many people afraid to follow it as it was written?
In the past six years, Obama has done more to destroy this nation that all of our past enemies, yet he is still in control. How much more abuse will it take before the American people rise up and storm the Bastille?
When this nation lies in ashes, and the survivors from the fall out are eating from garbage cans, will they stop and remember how it all began? Will they place blame on those who caused our downfall, or will they develop a case of amnesia?
When some foreign power hauls Old Glory down for the last time, it will be comforting to know that the rich and powerful will be in the same boat as the poor. There will be no privileged class.
When the Christian religion which made this nation into the world power it has enjoyed has been replaced by the cult of Islam and Sheria law, will the people accept it willingly?
Time is running out for all the areas I have written about, yet the vast majority of people in America are still asleep. They are asleep because the media refuses to ring the bell of freedom. That duty has now been assigned to individuals who have the ability to see where this country is going and not afraid to express it. But this effort is not enough.
I cry for this nation and what has happened to it in the last 50 years. We have squandered the resources that the Greatest Generation left us following WW II.
Our politicians became greedy and the people let them be so. Our media became a propaganda giant controlled by six companies with the same liberal mind set dedicated to socialism/communism. The judicial system became a part of the executive branch with no heros willing to contest the wrongs being committed by those in power.
Now our nation is in deep trouble and I do not know what the answer is to fix it. I know several courses of action, but I seriously doubt the American people have the will and guts to pursue them.
Over the ages, history has proven that all great nations have eventually fall from their own foolery, greed and lack of integrity. America, apparently will follow suit if the people do not collectively wake up and take action to reverse this downward spiral of collapse.
I make no apologies for the length of this post. Sooner or later, all America will understand that “Freedom isn’t Free”…..it comes with a heavy price. Just ask all those white crosses that stand in our national graveyards….they will tell you what it cost.

Thanks for baring your soul, and I weep with you, as do many others. You have wrapped up the whole scenario very well, and as I read it, it is almost surreal, and yet absolutely true. It is really like a terrible nightmare only to awake and realize that it is all real and not a dream.
We do know that there are hidden powers at work, but I have come to realize that the enemy of our souls and all that is good, Satan himself, is at work using willing dupes to try to destroy our country, He has been busy attempting to eradicate God’s work, but God is still sovereign and He is allowing it for only reasons fully known to Him.
As we look back over the last forty or more years, our government has slapped Him in the face by removing prayer and Bible reading from the schools. Our culture has declined and immorality is rampant. Is He saying, “If you don’t want Me in the life of your country and in your personal lives, you can be left to your own devices.”?
He is long-suffering and merciful, but He is also a God of anger against sin. We are going down if there isn’t a great spiritual awakening that sweeps our land. There is no other hope. But there IS hope, I believe, because God has always worked with nations in the past. The key is – What will we do to return to Him? We need to pray daily along that line.

Sorry to hear that happened to you big guy. That must have frightening. I have a similar story some years ago.
I had a bordering neighbor behind my property that was a Lt. Police Officer and he kept 3 German Shepards and allowed them to roam. They begin to come onto my property and my other neighbors property, and began to show aggression whereby none of the kids could walk to the bus stop. One day, they prevented my neighbor up the road walking with her kids, from entering into their own home, and called me on the cell.
When I got there, (and I should have taken my gun – but didn’t), I was trying to get them away from their front door so she and the kids could get into the house. All three squared off with me on each side and behind, a coordinated effort, no matter how I turned. Growling, jumping at me, ect…
They finally got enough courage to start biting at my clothes, jumping at my arms, biting at my legs, ect.. No matter how hard I punched them, they just got more aggressive.
It was another neighbor that came to help seeing the situation and had a baseball bat. They ran. However, I had been bit 7 times on the both arms and legs, and had to have 4 stiches on my lower leg.
A police report was filed, all 3 dogs were put down and checked and the Lt. City police officer was citied in court and had to pay for it. I lived in the County, and as you know, County cops don’t like City cops very much. They were happy to do it as this guy had a bad rap as a police officer and they knew him.

That Lt. City Cop got busted about a year later on a sting operation with drugs. Probably the reasons he kept the dogs there and had them being as aggressive as they were. As far as I know, he’s still in prison.

Every once in a while, I try to project myself into the future and see what will or will not happen as the play unfolds.
What I am seeing now is not good news as my latest post tells it, but common sense says that all I write about will happen…if the American people don’t wake up from this nightmare dream like state they are currently in.
A nation can only take so much before it no longer has the will or resources to defend itself.
I have always said America will never fall from outside influences, and if she does fall, it will be a from rotting away from the inside, like a cancer that is not known until it’s final stages.
Do not think I have a defeatist attitude. It is a realist attitude and a picture of things as I see developing in our country and have been developing since the end of World War Two.
There is still time to reverse this death spiral but only if the people are willing to turn to God for guidance and help. Great sacrifices will be required and I seriously wonder if the average American is willing to make them.
If not….this country will join all other great nations in the “has been” column of history and the freedoms and liberties once enjoyed will become only a memory of past glory.
But I know one thing for sure. The vast majority of American people may have already given up on God….but he is and has been ever present in my life.

I almost lost my Texas cool this past week when reading a Fox News report about an 89-year-old wounded World War II veteran who had to wait 68 years from the time he was on the battlefield until he received benefits. And you thought long waits and mishandling of veterans care was only a recent problem?
Milton Rackham of Belding, Michigan, who is a Purple Heart recipient, lived for decades without benefits because his records were lost in a fire; at least that’s how the Veterans Administration explained its inability to give him the post-war care he deserved and fought for.
Rackham grew up in Rigby, Idaho, where he learned and lived by herding cattle. At just 17, he enlisted in the Navy. He was fighting in the South Pacific when Japanese kamikazes dive-bombed on American troops and he was severely injured. His wounds almost led to his having an arm and leg amputated, and he still has shrapnel in him. He spent two years recovering in Navy hospitals in Hawaii and the Philippines before returning to civilian life.
Two immediate war repercussions surged in his life: his inability to work as he did before the war because of his damaged limbs and the onslaught of post-traumatic stress disorder.
He explained it this way to his local newspaper, The Daily News: “For years after I got home I couldn’t even think about war. When I got home I was a flat-out basket case. I was never going to get married. I was just going to go to work and hibernate. I was going to do whatever I had to do to just forget. All I wanted was to forget.”
If it weren’t for Rackham’s solid Christian faith, he might have lost hope. But God helped him place one foot after the other and brought him a soul mate to help him, as well. Nevertheless, the fallout from the war continued to wreak havoc on his mind and body.
Rackham explained to Fox News: “I’d go to bed and wake my wife up with my screaming and thrashing around in bed. The nightmares … have been ongoing for 66 years and continue to this day.”
He and his wife, Carol, raised six wonderful kids back in Michigan. But unable to do the rugged work he had done before the war, he opened up an upholstery business out of his garage. Through thick and thin — and many years were lean and slim, financially speaking — he was just glad to be alive and working in any fashion to help his family get by.
Despite the VA’s fire excuse, Rackham strangely began receiving $822 a month just a couple of months ago. The payments are labeled “VA Benefits,” and he also received $7,000, or roughly nine months’ back pay.

I’ve been there done that too.. 🙂 and same response from my wife.
Although 5″11′ tall, I typically weigh around 170lbs. Many years ago, I got into a poor eating habit at work, travel, and home, which then lead to eating about 5 full meals per day, not counting snacks.
Within about 18 -20 months, I was 267 lbs. 🙂 no kidding.
One day shaving, I couldn’t believe how round my face was in the mirror. I went on a diet and started exercising again. Now back to and maintaining about 175 lbs. for the last 5 years.
I was a plumpy there for awhile… 🙂
