Blagojevich appeal delay helps Obama, One of many problems for Obama hidden by Syria crisis and domestic issues, Blagojevich legal scrutiny has lasted 10 years

“Why wasn’t Rod Blagojevich, Governor of IL, prosecuted before Tony Rezko, a businessman?”…Citizen Wells
“Why did Patrick Fitzgerald and the US Justice Department wait until December 2008 to arrest Rod Blagojevich?”…Citizen Wells
“Regardless of how this plays out, it benefits Obama. If there is no appeal or the appeal is denied, Blagojevich will be sequestered. If the appeal proceeds, it could drag out beyond impacting the 2012 election cycle. The intent is obvious.”…Citizen Wells, July 19, 2011

From the US Court of Appeals 2012 statistics.

“The median time from filing a notice of appeal or docket date to final disposition decreased from 11 months to 9.8 months.”

The Rod Blagojevich Notice of appeal was filed on December 22, 2011.

Almost 2 years later we are nowhere near disposition.

But in the legal scrutiny of Rod Blagojevich, this is a short span considering the fact that the wiretapping of his associates began in late 2003.

“The following facts make the argument that Rod Blagojevich should have been arrested long before December 8, 2008 and before Tony Rezko.

  • Blagojevich began scheming as soon as he entered office. From the Blagojevich arrest press release. “The charges include historical allegations that Blagojevich and Harris schemed with others – including previously convicted defendants Antoin Rezko, Stuart Levine, Ali Ata and others – since becoming governor in 2002 to obtain and attempt to obtain financial benefits for himself, his family and third parties, including his campaign committee, Friends of Blagojevich, in exchange for appointments to state boards and commissions, state employment, state contracts and access to state funds.”
  • Pamela Meyer Davis began wearing a secret FBI wiretap  in late 2003 to record conversations involving state health planning board.
  • Most of the corruption in the Tony Rezko, Stuart Levine and Rod Blagojevich indictments took place between 2003 and 2005. Counts 1, 2 and 4 in the Blagojevich Indictment were eventualy dropped. Those counts covered that time period and represented approximately half of the indictment.
  • “FBI Special Agent Daniel Cain, the primary case agent on the investigation into Levine and Rezko, is on the stand now in testimony that is laying the foundation for entering the wiretaps into evidence. Cain said the investigation, dubbed Operation Board Games by the federal agents, began in December 2003 and was prompted by information gleaned from an informant whom he did not identify. That witness, he said, took part in meetings with two other individuals who were in contact with Levine by phone at his home. Cain said Levine had three phone lines in his North Shore home. Federal agents recorded conversations on those lines April 8-May 21, 2004. Those dates span the time when Levine, Rezko and others allegedly were working to rig the hospital board vote on a Mercy Health System hospital proposal for Crystal Lake and other kickback schemes prosecutors claim they were engaged in.” Rezko trial March 12, 2008″

  1. There is the most bizarre picture of Obama on DRUDGE above the headline:

This man MUST be demon possessed.

  2. shots fired at nw gate of white house…secret service have suspect in custody

  3. The killer at the Naval Yard in DC–according to a couple of reports, he spoke Thai fluently according to his supposed best friend, Oui Stuhamtewakul, who runs a Thai restaurant in Fort Worth, Has anyone read about the Muslim problem in Southern Thailand? Just wondering . . .

  4. There is a very big Muslim problem in Thailand.

  5. not shots, they were firecrackers

  6. The largest Port of Call for US Navy in Thailand is Pattaya. If you google Pattaya you will find that it is a tourist center. One big advertisement is for learning Thai. The dominant religion there? Islam. Was the killer Muslim and jihadist? Will the Media follow any of these leads?

  7. Question: Does the Thai restaurant in Fort Worth serve Halal food? Is that why the killer went there?

  8. I could be climbing up the wrong tree, but I just read at thaistoryblog at wordpress dot com on Pattaya, Thailand, that because of the great amount of tourism from foreign countries, to include the Middle East, that it is a safe place for terrorists to hang out. Question: How and when did the killer learn to speak Thai? While in the Navy? Did he go to Pattaya? There are five mosques in the vicinity. Who in the Media is exploring in this direction? Anyone? Or are they scrambling to do their best to cover up any Muslim connection to this guy?

  9. Latest info from Houston: the killer was a convert to Buddhism and worshipped in a Buddhist temple in the Fort Worth area, according to his Thai friend, Oui Suhamtewakul. Apparently he worked for Oui at his restaurant, The Happy Bowl Thai Restuarant in White Settlement, a suburb of Fort Worth. This was after he was discharged from the Navy. He had been stationed at the Naval Air Station in Fort Worth.. A Buddhist???

Threat came 2 days before shooting killed 13 in Navy Yard violence

  11. We are in a full state of tyranny. No one in government, or in prison, or in media, or in public life dare raise his voice against the usurper. Blago and Rezko can only hope they are protected in prison and eventually pardoned.
I recall Jack Ruby, who promised that he would never reveal what he knew in the hope that he would be allowed to live out his days in prison.

  12. Another article, this time from Reuters and appearing on Yahoo,

Al Qaeda calls for attacks inside United States
Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri urged small-scale attacks inside the United States to “bleed America economically”, adding he hoped eventually to see a more significant strike, according to the SITE monitoring service.

  13. The Media is trying to give the spiel that the killer acted alone, was a Buddhist and had a rage problem. But I wonder. He is not alive to tell his side of the story. All kinds of thoughts go through one’s mind.

  14. An email I received this morning.

They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are “Baby Boomers” getting ready to retire. Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were. We have worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and grown old together. Yes, we are the ones some refer to as being over the hill, and that is probably true. But before writing us off completely, there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration.

In school we studied English, history, math, and science which enabled us to lead America into the technological age. Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience. We remember the days of telephone party-lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes. For those of you who don’t know what an icebox is, today they are electric and referred to as refrigerators. A few even remember when cars were started with a crank. Yes, we lived those days.

We are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We won World War II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam . We can quote The Pledge of Allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn’t fight for the Socialist States of America; we fought for the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” We wore different uniforms but carried the same flag. We know the words to the Star Spangled Banner, America , and America the Beautiful by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you have only read in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America .

Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.

It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democratic Congress. You fell for the “Hope and Change” which in reality was nothing but “Hype and Lies.”

You have tasted socialism and seen evil face to face, and have found you don’t like it after all. You make a lot of noise, but most are all too interested in their careers or “Climbing the Social Ladder” to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the “Great Lie” in 2008 are now having buyer’s remorse. With all the education we gave you, you didn’t have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the ‘Kool-Aid.’ Now you’re paying the price and complaining about it. No jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes, and less freedom.

This is what you voted for and this is what you got. We entrusted you with the Torch of Liberty and you traded it for a paycheck and a fancy house.

Well, don’t worry youngsters, the Grey-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2014 we are going to take back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you would like but we get where we’re going, and in 2014 we’re going to the polls by the millions.

This land does not belong to the man in the White House nor to the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It belongs to “We the People” and “We the People” plan to reclaim our land and our freedom. We hope this time you will do a better job of preserving it and passing it along to our grandchildren. So the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, Stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor our country, and thank God for the old geezers of the “Grey-Haired Brigade.”

This is spot on. I am another Gray-Haired Geezer signing on. I will circulate this to other Gray-Haired Geezers all over this once great county.

Can you feel the ground shaking??? It’s not an earthquake, it is a STAMPEDE.

  15. HONOR FIRST………
you said, “Obama waives ban on arming terrorists to allow aid to Syrian opposition”

That’s the HEART of the Obama Foreign policy…….which is,”my enemy of yesterday is my closest friend today…well in Syria they are”…even thought we are still fighting my enemy of yesterday in Afghanistan…..

Those people who will cut off your head in Afghanistan are, according to Obama, not the same Islamic jehadist who are in Syria……or something like that.

A soldier in today’s army must really be dealing with some very confusing directives and orders from his superiors….shoot, don’t shoot…..friend, or enemy….the deck is stacked against our military regardless where they are located…..thanks to their Commander-in-Chief.

  16. I don’t know about everyone else who post here at CW…but I have some REAL issues with the Navy Shipyard shooter in Washington !

How was the shooter allowed to retain a security clearance from the Navy when he had some very SERIOUS mental problems?
DUHHHHHH ….that’s kinda like putting a live grenade in the hands of a baby and expect the baby to not to pull the pin.

How in the hell did the shooter get on base to begin with..,, past all the armed security guards carrying a “shotgun” without anyone stopping him? Every military base, especially those with special missions, have a very high degree of security…even people with proper clearance are closely screened every day. But niow we are lead to believe that a mentally sick person just walked on that bae carrying a shotgun without anyone asking how did this happen?…I don;t buy that, and neither should anyone else.

As a retired military officer, I am required to show my military identification card, with picture, every time I enter a military base… addition, my car trunk and under the car, is searched before I can enter…I am also required to disclose where on base I am going, and for what purpose. Even as a retired military officer, it would be IMPOSSIBLE for me to get on a base or installation with a firearm or weapon.

I am still waiting for someone to tell me how a severely mentally deranged person can get on a military installation, carrying a “shotgun” and other weapons, without having to go through a complete screening at the main gate to the base or installation. Did he have inside help? I think so.

The media is portraying the shooter as a Buddhist….I don’t think so. As Dean has already pointed out here on CW…there is a lot of problems in Thailand with Islamic extremist….this Buddhist thing may be an attempt by our government to mask exactly ,” who, what and why “, the when and where, with this shooter, we now know…..Personally, I think he will eventually be disclosed as a Muslim convert, not a Buddhist convert…….time will tell, but don’t expect the main stream media to disclose the truth.

We were warned by the Islamic extremist that they intended to bring war to America…..are they standing by their words?…….if so…of course our government would do everything in their power to paint a different picture for the alarmed public……. remember Fort Hood?

According to our government, the Fort Hood shooter wasn’t an Islamic extremist…he was only a “case of workplace violence”…….will the Navy Shipyard in Washington turn out to be, by our government standards …”only another case of workplace violence” ….even though this shooting also has, “Allah Akbar” written all over it too ?

  17. Please excuse all the typos in my last post……it’s early in the day for me…I was just expressing my views on the Washington massacre…….

All news other than the Washington Navy Shipyard shooter will be canceled for the next week….please don’t watch what the other government hand will be doing during this time frame……they promise that nothing important will happen.

Thank you for your cooperation…you may now go back to sleep.

  19. RMinNC,
Thanks for your “take” on this Navy Yard shoot-up. I know one thing for certain, and that is it’s much easier for the guv-ment to blame “workplace violence” when the shooter is just one person. It is also much easier for the media to go along with such a coverup.

Furthermore, the jihadists know this propensity of Obama and are planning to take advantage of the “lone wolf” attacks by radicalizing individuals to act on their own. It is cheaper for the jihadists and there is less chance that the events can be traced back to them.

It appears that this shooter was one very disturbed individual and a good candidate for such a job. We don’t know for sure at this point, but it is entirely possible that when he spent time in Thailand, he was radicalized by jihadist elements. Having just “converted” to Buddhism shows he was “searching”, and such a person could well have been influenced and tempted to go in another direction. Just my thoughts.

According to the two reliable posts I made earlier, it was revealed that this is exactly what the enemy is planning: Isolated, “lone wolf” attacks that will eventually help to bankrupt this country because of increased security, etc.

Here is another thing I just thought of. When it is called “workplace violence” the gov’t doesn’t have to compensate the victims and their families. That is what happened at Fort Hood, I understand.

  20. Good afternoon Cabbyaz……
I came across this while surfing…sound advice from 10,000 miles away…..
There appear to be “extra shooters” at many events. At the Australian Port Arthur Massacre of 1996 the “culprit” and “convicted” killer, David Bryant, arguably killed no one. He is a medically classed cretin. Australia’s strict gun legislation was bought out on the back of Port Arthur, although the [majority of] motorcycle enthusiast clubs (sic) chose to ignore it. There is real time war between the Bikies and the AFP (Australian Federal Police) currently, in the build up to global legislation which will require everyone to carry [photo] ID.

We saw the outcome of this type of legislation with the emergence of the NAZI’s in Germany. My advice to Americans is NOT to hand in their guns under any circumstances.

Force a civil war if necessary.
Good advice, but I doubt America will answer that cal from Australia.

Australia has some of the harshest gun control legislation of any country in the world….and the highest murder rate along with it..

    Go figure.

“The Andrea Shea King Show – Jack Cashill”

“His friends called George Zimmerman “Tugboat,” the one who always came to the rescue. An Hispanic-American civil rights activist, he helped a black homeless man find justice. He helped guide two black teens through life. He helped a terrified mother secure her house. He helped his wary neighbors secure their community.

In “If I Had A Son”, Jack Cashill tells the inside story of how, as the result of a tragic encounter with troubled seventeen-year-old Trayvon Martin, the media turned Tugboat into a white racist vigilante, “the most hated man in America.”

“If I Had A Son” tells how for the first time in the history of American jurisprudence, a state government, the US Department of Justice, the White House, the major media, the entertainment industry and the vestiges of the civil rights movement conspired to put an innocent man in prison for the rest of his life.”–jack-cashill
