In case you have been wondering why the latest NC unemployment rates have not been presented here, there is a reason. The unemployment rate in NC for January 2013 was just reported a few days ago. There was no report in February 2013. I still do not know why. Perhaps there was pressure to delay it. I can understand why.
Thanks to the Greensboro News Record for reporting this and placing it at the top of Saturday’s, March 23, 2013 issue.
The paper edition had these headlines:

At 20.4 percent, Graham County had the state’s highest unemployment
rate in January.”

Unemployment in the Greensboro-High Point metro — which includes
Guilford, Rockingham and Randolph counties — rose from 10.3 percent a
year ago to 10.6 percent in January.
Unemployment rates dropped in 30 counties compared to the same month last year.
However, unemployment increased in 63 counties compared to a year ago.
The latest numbers show that many communities continue to struggle
economically, said John Quinterno of the Chapel Hill-based economic
research firm, South by North Strategies.
Economic activity remains below normal, which translates into a
decreased demand for employees, Quinterno said.
“In many local communities, we started off 2013 not all that radically
different than we started off 2012,” Quinterno said. “We continue to
have a labor market that’s very unhealthy.””

across much of North Carolina began 2013 no differently than they
began 2012,” said Quinterno. “Simply put, unemployment rates remain
elevated across the state, and twice as many North Carolinians are
jobless and seeking work than was the case five years ago.”
Remember, these high unemployment rates do not include the thousands who have dropped out of the labor force. Finding a recent percent for this stat has been elusive recently but I will will find it. Stay tuned.

Their comments, directed at Puerto Rican-born Rep. José Serrano (D-N.Y.), came during a House Appropriations Committee hearing on the Supreme Court’s budget.”
I would like to know what Mario Apuzzo thinks of this suggestion. I could see where (for now without the legal analysis) this might be acceptable since we are talking about U.S. Territories controlled by the U.S. Federal government/laws. Maybe…. Thoughts anyone?

But for the EU, IMF and Cyprus to agree taking funds from mostly foreign investors – those with over 100,000 Euros or more to pay for their failed socialists policies, will have devastating effects on future wealthy investors as they will rethink their investments. It will be a guarantee that no investor will ever again place money into their banking system or invest into that region. This is not something to be praised and frankly quite frightening as the IMF has far too much power, to take what it wants from whom it wants. Cant happen here?

I agree with you entirely. But where I’m confused (reason I’d like Mario’s legal opinion) is that those born in Puerto Rico have U.S. Citizenship from birth, thus if parents are U.S. Citizens, then he would be too, and therefore qualified. Least is what I’m reading now.

Puerto Rico is US soil, and it’s citizens are US citizens. They are born as US citizens, under the Jurisidiction of the US government. They have no other claim to foreign citizenship. Therefore, if someone is born in Puerto Rico of two citizen parents, on soil, they are Natural Born US citizens.
I don’t understand the conflict here, as they are US citizens born under the jurisdiction of the US government, on US soil, unless the parents are not US citizens.

I agree William. I do wish someone who call the Supreme Court’s bluff. The only one with enough of a spine might Sen. Cruz. I had hoped that Rubio would petition the courts for a determination as to his eligibility. He is staying away from it. The SC might consider tweaking the definition of NBC to include children of refugees of a country that had been taken over by a dictator. Cruz does have argument that his father (fled Cuba during revolution) has no allegiance to Cuba and his mother is American Citizen. He could argue that birthplace is irrelevant if both parents have no allegiance to foreign power. The Court could rationalize that Founder’s concern was solely with foreign allegiance. I hate to see the SC ignore making decisions because they are PC whipped.

Assad Confirmed Dead, Iran Attempts To Control Syria Army

Jerusalem, Israel — March 24, 2013 … Russian media sources have confirmed that Syria President Bashar Assad was shot by an Iranian bodyguard Saturday night.
“The lone assassination pumped several bullets at point blank range into Assad,” said the source. “Assad was rushed to Al-Shami Hospital in Damascus in critical condition. He died on the operating table from heart failure resulting from massive blood loss.”
An Israeli security analyst believes the report to be accurate.
“In the last 24 hours have we seen Assad? Any photographs or video? No. Nor will we see any as loyalists who are closest to Assad have been threatened if any leaked photos or reports reach Western media. Iran is attempting to take control of the Syrian army and its wealth of weapons as Syrian solders are now deserting in mass. I don’t believe that the West will allow any Iranian control of Damascus.”

The Israeli analyst said that the Israeli army is on heightened alert in the North and the US is moving a battle carrier group off the Syrian coast. That the US would not tolerate any further action by Iran inside Syria and has warned Iranians to leave the country.
“Assad had complete and total support from both Iran and Russia. They backed Assad in his bloody campaign which resulted in the loss of over 70,000 Syrian civilians. No one helped those Syrians except for one country – Israel. They have taken in dozens of wounded Syrians across the border who are now being cared for in Israeli hospitals.”
“We can expect to see a photo of a dead Assad within 48 hours. There are many phone cameras in the pockets of those guarding his body. One of those photos would be worth almost a million dollars to the one getting that photo out to the Western media.”

Now 36,000 of them HAVE NO JOB. I would have to say that the Bakers Union really stuck their foot in their mouths. Sort of reminds me of when Reagan FIRED a hell of a lot of union a$$hole air controllers, who thought that they were running the country. They too learned the HARD WAY!.
Sadly the legacy of a union goon is such that after he passes away his life’s accomplishments will amount to NOTHING,except having screwed up the business landscape so badly,that American businessmen can no longer compete against their foreign counterparts. Many small countries are now offering US businesses HUGE sums of money.and often even a manufacturing place for extremely low figures, along with guaranteed low labor costs. In addition NO ORGANISED LABOR. A business man puts his own well being on the line,when he sanctions organised labor. If your product costs you $20.00 each to manufacture, you can’t sell it for $ 10.00, to compete with foreign manufacturers. A manufacturer who gives away his products will NOT REMAIN in business very long.

Is B.H. Obama A Homosexual?

B.H. Obama is not the son of a Kenyan ‘goat herder’. He is the son of the American, radical, communist, Frank Marshall Davis. A simple DNA test would prove this fact, but an even easier test would be to view the birth certificate in the vault, in Hawaii, and verify that it is the same as the birth certificate B.H. Obama posted on the Internet for the world to see.
But insisting on his right to privacy…..even after posting this document on the Internet…….B.H. Obama steadfastly refuses to let any doubter, of this document, to personally verify his published document. And thus proving, to a reasonable person, that he has posted a fraudulent document to hide his true identity.
While the ‘world is ablaze and economic destruction is all about us’ why is it that the Obama Administration has made homosexual rights a priority? Could it be that B.H. Obama is a homosexual? So suddenly, without a cure, all the mentally ill homosexuals were normal persons. “Dr. Richard Fitzgibbons, a psychiatrist and member of the Catholic Medical Association, observed that there is evidence that homosexuality is itself a manifestation of a psychological disorder. Fitzgibbons says the disorder is accompanied by a host of mental health problems, including “major depression, suicidal ideation and attempts, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, conduct disorder, low self-esteem in males and sexual promiscuity with an inability to maintain committed relationships.” And because America is a moral country, one must give some weight to the Judeo-Christian view, found in the Bible, Leviticus 18:22. I will not go further into this, but I ask that you do your own investigation into homosexuality, and decide for yourself if this is something that you want promoted by the Federal Government.
Again, “So what if B.H. Obama is a homosexual? He is the elected President of The United States of America. He can be a homosexual, and he can be a non Christian, or a Muslim. So what?”
B.H. Obama can be a homosexual, he can be a non Christian, and he can be a Muslim. But he can not lie to the American citizens about himself. And as he is not the son of the ‘goat herder’ that he has portrayed himself to be, he has lied to the American public, and like Richard Nixon before him, he needs to either resign or be removed from office.
When one builds upon a weak foundation……no matter how beautiful the structure atop……in time…. the ‘house’ will collapse, and the deception will be known. And the sooner the deception is known the less damage will be done.

Morning folks. Over at the Western Journalism site there is an article on Waco, 20 years ago. It is a grim reminder of what the Federal Government is capable of doing.
The Waco attack began on February 28, 1993 and the stand-off lasted 51 days. The Feds pumped CS gas into the building with women, babies and children and elderly. There were only a few survivors as the compound was burned to the ground.
I had a friend in Texas who was a journalist working for a Texas magazine. I went down to visit in 1994 and he took me to the Waco site. The place was fenced off with armed guards. There was plack in honor of the ATF killed when they first attacked the compound. It read like something out of 1984 or Chinese Communist propaganda. My friend showed me a position outside the compound with some sandbags laid out in a certain fashion. “What does the look like to you?” he asked. Both my friend and I are Vietnam Vets. I answered, “a sniper postion.” “My thought exactly,” he responded.
It looked like a sniper position was set up to cover the rear exit point so that anyone trying to escape the blazing inferno from the rear exit would be picked off. My friend said he thinks that is what happened. They were hoping to kill them all. The few survivors were intimidated to silence.

I know some believed they deserved it. All I could think, is if they (the govt.) could justify that……….they could justify anything.
