Fitzgerald joined Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom as a partner in
October following a decade as the U.S. attorney for the Northern
District of Illinois. In that post, he oversaw the successful
corruption prosecutions of former Illinois governors Rod Blagojevich
and George Ryan. As a special prosecutor in the Valerie Plame leak
case, he secured the conviction of Lewis “Scooter” Libby, an aide to
former Vice President Dick Cheney, on counts including obstruction of
justice and perjury.”
Patrick Fitzgerald is either clueless, biased and/or corrupt.
Fitzgerald aggressively prosecuted Republican Governor of Illinois George Ryan and then aggressively attacked Scooter Libby and Karl Rove, unjustly, and with the knowledge by Colin Powell and others that they were innocent of the leak in the Valerie Plame case.
All the while Fitzgerald delayed the prosecution of Rod Blagojevich until after the 2008 election.
Barack Obama was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School.
The new Citizen Wells question that begs an answer is:

RMinNC — well, at least one of my senators (Inhofe) appears to be trying to represent his constituents by voting “Nay”. I’m proud of him.
I’m so disappointed in Coburn, though. For so long, he seemed to be FOR We The People. Many of his recent actions, though, have convinced me that he’s just as much of a go-along-to-get-along as any of ’em. I think that for me, it began when he said he regarded Nancy Pelosi as “a nice lady” when Obamacare was being hotly debated.
While I’m deeply disappointed in Coburn, I don’t think he’s being blackmailed, threatened, or any of that. People have got to stop automatically assuming that ANYONE who votes in an asinine way at ANY given time is doing so from fear, Chicago thug politics, etc. Occam’s Razor applies — sometimes Congress (both chambers) are just a bunch of below-the-waist orifices.
Some (124) gun manufacturers are getting with the program. Time for ammo manufacturers to announce they will not sell ammunition to the States and Federal government entities. Make them send armed forces to confiscate the ammo. I would also like to see suppliers of casing metal and explosives to announce they will not sell to manufacturers who sell to States and Federal governments who do not honor article two.

Sorry I have not been around in months folks.
I had major reconstructive surgery for a severe case of “posterior tibial tendon dysfunction” which could not be repaired. After surgery I was completely disabled for several weeks and taking heavy duty pain meds…then I had to undergo changing casts several times to reposition the foot so sitting at my desk was still uncomfortable. The casts are off now and I can walk some but have to go for physical therapy for the next 3 months.

So sorry to hear about your ordeal! Do take the therapy seriously, because it can do wonders to rehabilitate. That must have been quite a surgery. I know from personal experience that casts, although necessary, can be very uncomfortable at times. Take care!
