Rush Limbaugh declares Romney winner of debate, Facts not lies win presidential debates, Barack Obama and Candy Crowley lies being discussed

“It — it — it — he did in fact, sir. … He did call it an act of terror.”…Candy Crowley

“But Crowley and Obama had it wrong. the Post’s Glenn Kessler explained:

What did Obama say in the Rose Garden a day after the attack in Libya? ”No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this nation,” he said.
But he did not say “terrorism”—and it took the administration days to concede that that it an “act of terrorism” that appears unrelated to initial reports of anger at a video that defamed the prophet Muhammad.”…Washington Post Oct. 17, 2012

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it”…Joseph Goebbels

From Rush Limbaugh October 17, 2012.

RUSH:  I’m seriously amazed.  I really am, ladies and gentlemen, seriously amazed at the uniformity of thought and opinion across the spectrum on the debate last night.  I must tell you, in all honesty, my view of what happened last night is not even close to what I’m hearing on Fox News, on MSNBC, on CNN, in the New York Times and the Washington Post.  Well, actually, you know, some of the newspaper editorials are closer to the way I saw this last night than some of the people on television.

Let me start out by stating something patently obvious.  Maybe put it to you in the form of a question.  Addressing one of the things that I have detected that people on our side are most concerned about, outside of Candy Crowley, which we’ll deal with here in just a second.  Libya.  Romney had a big opening.  He didn’t close it.  He didn’t secure it.  He could have said, “What are you talking about, terror attack?  You blamed a video for two weeks.”  He didn’t say that.

Are any of you not going to vote for Mitt Romney because he didn’t have something to say at a crucial moment that you wanted him to say?  Is somebody gonna vote for Barack Obama that wasn’t going to because Mitt Romney didn’t say, “You were talking about a video for two weeks.”  No, of course not.  There weren’t any votes lost by Romney last night, and there weren’t any votes gained by Obama.  Seriously.  So the whole notion I’m hearing of scoring this thing on points, this isn’t a college debate where you lose for technique according to some scoring system.  This was an entirely different dynamic, and it’s one that Obama came nowhere near overcoming.  The problem that he had going in is not one that he got anywhere near solving.

My friends, I want you to know something here.  I’m not speaking with preferences guiding my comments, and I’m not speaking with hope or false promises.  I’m shooting you straight as best I can.  I watched this debate last night and I saw another halting, choppy, staccato-speaking Barack Obama, wandering aimlessly, speaking in theory, speaking in faculty lounge lizard theoretical non-reality.  I saw cliche after cliche.  I heard liberal cliche after cliche.

The first question was some college kid who wants to know about a job and Obama talks to him about manufacturing jobs?  This kid isn’t going to college to learn how to weld.  He’s not going to college to find a manufacturing job. And Obama answers his question that way?  Through most of this debate I was thinking, here’s Romney, Mr. Smooth, he is in total command of the facts.  He is once again totally decimating Obama’s economic performance.  Obama, in his closing remarks, was reduced to sounding like me, when everybody knows he doesn’t believe a word of what he said.  He doesn’t believe in rugged individualism.  He doesn’t believe in self-reliance.  He doesn’t believe in any of those things.

Why doesn’t that matter when people start scoring these debates?  They look at these debates and they score some system that’s foreign to me.  Style points or any number of odd things that are irrelevant in a presidential campaign.  But I didn’t see Barack Obama dazzling anybody with a defense of his record.  I didn’t hear Barack Obama talk about his great plans for the future.  I heard Barack Obama even at one point say “when I was president” as though it’s in the past tense.  I saw a nervous, staccato speaking, choppy. In fact, everybody talks about how Romney got a raw deal from Candy Crowley, and he did, but it is what it is.

There was a point in that debate last night — Kathryn and I are sitting there watching it — and I was so stunned by what I saw that I hit the pause on the DVR.  And I said, “Do you realize what we just saw here?”  And what it was was a full-fledged destruction of the Obama record by Mitt Romney.  Every stat you could want.  Household income falling, unemployment up, the number of people out of the workforce, the number of jobs lost since Obama took office, the number of people totally out of work, 23 million.  Every economic statistic that detailed the crumbling aspects of this regime.  And Candy Crowley — on second thought, maybe she did him a favor — did not let Obama respond.  She didn’t make Romney stop prematurely, he finished, and then she went on to the next question.

Now that I think about it now, and now that we know what we know, there’s no question she was trying to save Obama by making sure he didn’t have to deal with that.  But the bottom line is, for everybody who thinks that Romney had a minor screw up here because he didn’t point out that Obama had been saying it’s a video for two weeks, Obama did not have a syllable to say in refutation, in disagreement with Romney’s sterling recitation of his failures.  There wasn’t one retort. There wasn’t one reply to it. There wasn’t one accusation that Romney had said anything that wasn’t true.

In fact, today, the day after, the only people who are accused of saying things that are not true are Barack Obama and Candy Crowley, not Mitt Romney.  I kid you not.  That’s the debate I saw.  I once again saw an Obama who looked uncomfortable and unprepared and full of, “Eh, uh, eh, uh.”  I didn’t see Mr. Smooth. I didn’t see Mr. In Command of Facts. I didn’t see anybody who was eager to defend his performance and his record.  Folks, I’m gonna apologize to you because I simply do not have a recollection or an analysis of what I saw last night that is anywhere close to what I’ve seen — and I haven’t seen it all — to what I saw on television last night. ”

  1. John Adams, Dissertation on Canon and Feudal Law, 1765:

“Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people, who have a right, from the frame of their nature, to knowledge, as their great Creator, who does nothing in vain, has given them understandings, and a desire to know; but besides this, they have a right, an indisputable, unalienable, indefeasible, divine right to that most dreaded and envied kind of knowledge; I mean, of the characters and conduct of their rulers.”

  2. About that supposed “October Surprise”:

Somebody found that these guys tried a similar hoax a few years ago (re: count down to big news…ha!) They had a lot of people checking!

Site used to link to http://WhatIsOccupyWallStreetAbout.com registered by Jeffrey Hopwood. Reverse IP search of the October Surprise site leads to http://pausetime.com run by his friend Anthony Maro. A Google search shows that this pair was responsible for some kind of hoax back in 2007. Something along those lines.

In other words, it’s nonsense and the guys are out to make money or something.

You’ll notice that after getting exposed they stopped Tweeting.

  3. What is this infatuation by the left-wing mainstream media with Romney’s binders “gaffe”? What gaffe? It is not a gaffe at all. It seems to represent extreme desperation on the part of libs and their mainstream media acolytes to try to make something out of nothing. Since Obama cannot defend his record he must make accusations and see which ones stick. But this blinders thing is total desperattion. I mean, it just has no bearing on anything important in this election. What a joke this is.

  4. From The Steady Drip this morning:

Paradoxical Quote of The Day From Ben Stein:

“Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured… but not everyone must prove they are a citizen.”

Now add this, “Many of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens.”

Think about it when you vote in November!

  5. The government spent approximately $1.03 trillion on 83 means-tested federal welfare programs in fiscal year 2011 alone — a price tag that makes welfare that year the government’s largest expenditure, according to new data released by the Republican side of the Senate Budget Committee.

The total sum taxpayers spent on federal welfare programs was derived from a new Congressional Research Service (CRS) report on federal welfare spending — which topped out at $745.84 billion for fiscal year 2011 — combined with an analysis from the Republican Senate Budget Committee staff of state spending on federal welfare programs (based on “The Oxford Handbook of State and Local Government Finance”), which reached $282.7 billion in fiscal year 2011.

The data excludes spending on Social Security, Medicare, means-tested health care for veterans without service-connected disabilities, and the means-tested veterans pension program.

Obama, Oy Vey! American Jews Finally Have Had Enough
    By Stella Paul

“Two Jews, three opinions” goes the famous joke. And every day, more of those opinions turn pro-Romney, as American Jews increasingly reject the collapsing presidency of Barack Hussein Obama.

Romney’s surging poll numbers in the crucial state of Florida reflect his growing success with Bubbie Molly and her unemployed grandson Adam, who both thought their right hand would wither if it ever pulled the lever for a Republican.

  9. HOW OBAMA WON THE 2008 ELECTION:

From a teacher in the Nashville area

“We are worried about ‘the cow’ when it is all about the ‘Ice Cream.

‘The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching 3rd grade.

The last Presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest. I decided we would have an election for a class president. We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote. To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members. We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have. We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.

The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids.

I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support.

I had never seen Olivia’s mother.

The day arrived when they were to make their speeches.

    Jamie went first.

He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place.
He ended by promising to do his very best.

Everyone applauded and he sat down.

Now is was Olivia’s turn to speak.

Her speech was concise. She said, “If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream, and lots of it.” She sat down.

The class went wild. “Yes! Yes! We want ice cream.”

She surely would say more. She did not have to.

A discussion followed. The class ask, How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn’t sure. But no one pursued that question. They took her at her word.

Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it…She didn’t know and that wasn’t important right then.

The class really didn’t care. All they were thinking about was free ice cream…

Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a landslide.

Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth in 2008, he offered free ice cream and 51.4 % of the people reacted like those nine year olds.

    They wanted ice cream.

The other 48.6% percent know they’re going to have to feed the cow and clean up the mess.”

Remember, the government cannot give anything to anyone that they have not first taken away from someone else.

Did you vote for the ice cream in 2008? Will you vote again for the ice cream in 2012?

THAT, MY FRIENDS, IS HOW OBAMA GOT ELECTED IN 2008, BY THE IGNORANT WHO WANT EVERYTHING FOR FREE!

  11. Observer,
It seemed to me last night that this stuff about the supposed October surprise was probably a hoax.

    Jonah,
The first blurred doc does look like a tax return, but not a 1040 (individual) but rather a 1065 (partnership) or a 1120 (corporation). The rest of them seem to be a potpourri of docs, including, perhaps, a state return (the green one), an official letter, applications?, etc. The very fact of the assortment idea makes it suspect, imo. Furthermore, Buzzfeed has always seemed to me to be a left-leaning site.

  12. In CW’s opener, Rush Limbaugh is quoted as saying, “I heard Barack Obama even at one point say “when I was president” as though it’s in the past tense. I saw a nervous, staccato speaking, choppy.”

Did anyone else notice that Obama’s speech was especially “staccato-like” during the debate? He had plenty of energy, and you could tell that he had rehearsed until he was blue in the face, but it was so much rat-a-tat-tat with nothing beyond the usual cliches we’ve heard over and over again on the campaign stump. It was another tweaked version of the empty suit that we have become so accustomed to.

Also, I couldn’t help but notice Obama’s face when he and Michelle hugged. It was so blank – so devoid of emotion – almost puppet-like.

Another thought about the round of applause that Michelle gave – Yesterday there was an article on Drudge that quoted Michelle as saying that on November 7th they are going to “party hard.” She just can’t allow herself to even think of having to leave the free, lavish vacations and other perks they’ve been enjoying at taxpayers’ expense.

  17. Remember the pension discussion in the debate? Obama jokingly said that Romney would have a much larger one? Well, the following article sheds some interesting light on the pension comparison.

E.g., did you know that the month following when Obama leaves office he will begin immediately to receive $191,300 per year for life, plus a number of other perks? That could be projected to be worth probably $6 M.

    Yes,
Romney, being a very wealthy man, has a much larger pension, BUT it is all from earned money, while Obama’s is PUBLIC MONEY. He has no private pension. Also, Obama will, no doubt, be getting a public pension from his tenure in the Illinois State Senate.

Also, did you know that Romney took NO SALARY while he was governor of MA? Therefore, there is no pension from government service for him, as yet. (Hope we can change that on Nov. 6)

  18. Cabbyaz……

I just read the article you referenced at 1pm……

I learned a long time ago that anything coming out of Obama’s mouth must be fact checked……..over and over and over.

With Obama’s words…”the devil is in the details” .I was pleased to see you too questioned that exchange of words…..

The main stream media has yet to question that comment by Obama.

Oh will, the MSM also has their White House scripts they must follow.

  19. Cabbyaz….

    I have a question.

I have been wondering lately if a person working for the federal government can draw a pension in prison, after he has been convicted for FRAUD against the federal government… ie; Barack Hussain Obama

  20. NEW GALLUP POLL:

    Romney 52%

    Obama 45%

As I said over 6 months ago….I smell a landslide for Romney !

That is if we can keep the election honest.

  21. The most bizzare thing O said in that debate was his explanation of why gasoline was so much cheaper when he took office. And, I can just hear the koolaid drinkers saying…hmmmm, I never looked at it that way, wow! that man is a genius!

  22. Honor First…

Everything that comes out of O’s mouth is bizzare….

but, I too agree with the gasoline comment…according to O’s “genius”, with a $4.15 a gallon ga at the pump now, we should be in full recovery and full employment !

  23. I wish a reporter on national television would get brave enough to ask Mr. Obama about the scars on the back of his head……

I would love to hear his answer…..they are the keys to unraveling his identity.

RM, there are also pics showing a large scar extending into the neck area on his left side, which is not very visible on TV, if at all. I suppose makeup can rather cover that.
Like you, I question the Bari Sabazz connection and that Hawaiian traffic accident – very mysterious and suspect, indeed.

  27. Thanks Cabbyaz…

No….. I haven’t seen the photos in the article you just posted….thanks

It’s pretty clear there….I think the American people deserve an answer on those scars….it could be effecting his ability as Commander-in-Chief….but I’m wrong again on that one….

I am wondering if a researcher in Hawaii could be found who is willing to do a thorough search of all the ER hospitals in Hawaii to see if there was any emergency suturing done on a black accident victim during the particular dates involved. I would bet that there are records if there was an ER service. It would have required the services of an ER DOCTOR, if the cuts and tears in his scalp were as extensive as it seems.

  30. RMINNC…………….
There is also an outside chance that Soetoro could have been attacked and had the living hell beaten out of him,and his scalp laid open as a result, and maybe even fractures if a baseball bat was used on him. Youth gangs love this sort of violence.

You’re welcome, RM. Yes, I do remember that story, and I am thinking of one of the White House Insider Reports which Ulsterman carried. Didn’t the operative, or whatever, later die of unknown causes? If you see or know too much and you’re around Obama, watch out. He has many friends in low places.

  36. Cabbyaz…

Your mrmory is sharp as a tack. You are correct. It was an Ulsterman/Insider report.

The title of the article was, “Death of a Democrat Operative”. The article concerned a west coast democrat operative named Kam Kuwata and what he witnessed right before Obama took the stage at the democrat national convention in Denver in 2008.

According to WhiteHouse Insider, he reported that Kuwata was present in a hall when Obama came in , extremely pale and was being held up by a large black man (most likely Reggie Love). He also has two secret service men with him. He could hardly walk.

The hall was cleared immediately and Kam Kuwata said a woman went in the room with a bag (most likely Jarrett) and then he heard something that sounded like Gregorian chants coming out of the room.

Shortly after the chanting stopped (about 15 minutes), Obama came out of the room and the people were allowed to be in his presence again.

A far out story, but within 3 weeks after this happened, Mr. Kuwata was found dead. Nothing was said and no connections were made to the Obama machine. Kuwata worked for Diana Finstein….she was in charge of Obama’s west coast finances and fundraising efforts.

Many people feel he discovered something criminal about Obama’s massive overseas donations, plus he gained knowledge of Obama’s strange illness which he witnessed in Denver the night of his acceptance speech in 2008.

What ever the reason, Kam Kuwata came up dead within three weeks .
