Google Inc. removed content from its India domains that was deemed objectionable by a New Delhi district court after a civil lawsuit against the owner of the world’s largest search engine.
The material was blocked from India search results, YouTube, Blogger and the social-networking site Orkut, said Gaurav Bhaskar, a spokesman for Google India. The content was deleted from domains .in and .co.in, while remaining accessible from other countries, Bhaskar said today. Google can’t take down content that appears on websites owned by other companies and individuals, he said.
India is stepping up scrutiny of Internet postings and mobile communications as it tries to eliminate provocative comments and curb discord between religious groups. The Hindu- majority South Asian country is home to more than 138 million Muslims, comprising about 13 percent of the world’s second- largest population.”
“The order follows a civil complaint filed by Mufti Aijaz Arshad Quasmi, an Indian activist who seeks the removal of videos and images that could be seen as offensive to Muslims, his lawyer Santosh Pandey said today.”
“The other companies named in the complaint — Facebook Inc., Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) and Microsoft Corp. — have taken the position that they don’t have control over the content found objectionable, Pandey said.
The court yesterday gave the companies 15 days to submit compliance reports. The next hearing will take place on March 1.
Amber Allman, a spokeswoman for Yahoo, didn’t immediately respond to an e-mail seeking comment. Kumiko Hidaka, a spokeswoman for Menlo Park, California-based Facebook, didn’t respond to an e-mail. Debjani Mukherji, a Hyderabad-based spokeswoman for Microsoft, didn’t immediately respond to an e- mail seeking comment.
Google’s deletions are in accordance with company policy of disabling illegal content on its property to comply with local laws, Bhaskar said.”

Citizen Wells: Your post yesterday on the Malihi ruling–I think what is happening in these court cases is the various judges are being brought into the circle of classified information, being told that in the interest of national security they must drop this issue; that Obama is indeed a natural born citizen based on the fact both his parents were citizens and he was born in Hawaii. The Kenya fellow was not his true biological father. Obama worked for the CIA and the truth about his origins is classified. He was recruited to work for the CIA during the Cold War because of his Muslim ties and credentials. The CIA doesn’t want this to come out.

The Army Office of the Chief of Chaplin’s has directed all military Chaplins NOT to read to their attending members, this coming Sunday, a letter sent to them from Archbishop Timothy Berglio, the Archbishop for the Archdiocese of Military Services.
The letter is highly critical of the latest governmental attack from Obamacare, on the Roman Catholic faith concerning the forced abortion policies and mandatory acceptance by Catholic institutions of paying for birth control and abortion.
The new policies were released by Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services on 20 Jan 2012. Interestingly Sebelius, is supposedly a CATHOLIC.
If this latest attack on individual Constitutional rights is not reversed by Obama, he stands to lose 70 million Catholic votes in Nov………..and Kathleen Sebelius stands to be excommunicated for heresy.
I am not a Catholic, but I do respect their religion, and any other PEACEFUL religion. Please note, I DID NOT say political/religious doctrine like Islam. If Obama and Sebelius insist on pushing this very unpopular position, I only have one thing to say………..Abortion is Murder and…….
May they both rot in hell for they will have deserved it.

And O’s oldest daughter is the spittin image for that side. I do believe that Stanley IS the mother…O has her (and her father’s) clueless expression of the eyes and her father’s lazy eye. She would also be just the type to throw herself at X….she was a groupy of just his sort. He also came to Seattle when she was there. The fact that they HAD to find a diversionary “father” and from another country in fact to focus way away from X was no doubt she was warned about ruining X’s pristine image. After all the reason he gave for leaving the Nation of Islam was due to his disillusion with Elijah Muhammad, who btw taught that white society kept the African American community from empowering itself, since he ‘s discovered that Muhammad had several mistresses. So this “messiah” X should never have his own image tarnished…esp. with a white girl. And X.’s atty, Percy Sutton, was the one who pleaded O’s entrance into Harvard and had connections to the Saudi individual who could finance his time there. And of course the commie red dress with the big black X that Michelle wore is another in your face revolutionary hint of what was to come to pass for America. Perhaps O is putting his own stamp on his heritage by upping the “final solution” via the use of Muslim radical terrorists….practically inviting them in while promising no prosecution for their acts. And just who these days are the powers backing Iran and Syria…the latest objectors at the Security Council????
