Herman Cain innocent investigator claims, Sharon Bialek not telling truth from software analysis, CBS Atlanta

From CBS Atlanta November 9, 2011.
“Private investigator TJ Ward said presidential hopeful Herman Cain was not lying at a news conference on Tuesday in Phoenix.

Cain denied making any sexual actions towards Sharon Bialek and vowed to take a polygraph test if necessary to prove his innocence.

Cain has not taken a polygraph but Ward said he does have software that does something better.

Ward said the $15,000 software can detect lies in people’s voices.

CBS Atlanta’s Mike Paluska played Cain’s speech for Ward into the software and watched as it analyzed Cain’s every word.

If he is hiding something this thing would have spiked way down here,” said Ward.  “He is being truthful, totally truthful.  He is a man with integrity and he talked directly about not knowing any incident he is accused of.”

The software analyzes the stress level and other factors in your voice.  During the speech, when Cain denied the claims, the lie detector read “low risk.”  According to Ward, that means Cain is telling the truth.

During the section of Bialek’s news conference where she says, “He suddenly reached over put his hand on my leg under my skirt and reached for my genitals he also grabbed my head brought it towards his crotch.”

During the analysis of that section the software said “high risk statement.”  Ward said that means she is not  telling the truth about what happened.

“I don’t think she is fabricating her meetings,” said Ward.  But, she is fabricating what transpired.”

Ward said nearly 70 law enforcement agencies nationwide use the voice software, including the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

Ward said the technology is a scientific measure that law enforcement use as a tool to tell when someone is lying and that it has a 95 percent success rate.

After listening to Cain’s speech and analyzing it, Ward said there is no doubt, Cain is innocent.

“When he directly talks about the allegations against him there is no high risk,” said Ward.  “It is low risk, which tells me he is being truthful in his conversations to the public.””

  1. The worst is yet to come, the Cain Stain Train will be completely off the tracks by Monday.
It’s not like he had chance of being the R nominee anyway.
He is a weak candidate, who most likely was looking for a show on Faux News.

  2. Pat 1789
You harbor so much hatred for Herman Cain. Why? Are you afraid he will be the Republican candidate? During this so called scandal his numbers have gone up in the polls, and so have contributions to his campaign. It is beginning to look like Newt-Cain is the only team that can beat Obama. Ahh that is the answer, you are a closet O’BlahBlah lover!

She show a photograph purportedly of Barry as an infant at a Nation of Islam rally in Chicago in Febrary 1962. If she is now saying that Barry was born in 1959 then he could not be be an infant in the 1962 photo.”

“A photo in Muhammad Speaks places Stanley Ann Dunham and Baby Barack at Malcolm X’s Nation Of Islam Annual Rally in Chicago, Illinois. Allegedly taken on 23 February 1962″

She states that allegedly the photo was taken on that date.

That is, she states that there is no proof as to when the photo was actually taken.”

“Also on the related issue mentioned by SaipanAnnie, why would Malcolm X, who thought white people were the devil, allow a photo in his Nation of Islam newspaper of a white woman holding a black baby? I cannot imagine that he could not find and photograph for inclusion into his newspaper a black baby being held by a black woman.

But I can imagine Malcolm X being more than happy with allowing that photograph to be inserted in his newspaper if the white woman holding the black baby was his secret lover who was holding his own baby who he wanted to honor. And how proud it must have made Malcom X feel imagining his son listening to him speak on matters so critical to his son’s future as a black person.”

  5. Let’s look a little closer at her attorney as well….Imagine for a moment when she called Gloria Allred and asked her to represent her…
    1. The accusor Sharon Bialek has no money to pay.
    2. She is not looking to get any money, no law suit filed.
    3. No criminal act was committed…She was not working for Cain so how could he possibly harrass her?
    4. According to her, his advances were rejected so he didn’t even cheat on his wife…which maybe a deal breaker for some but certianly not against the law.
WHY IS GLORIA representing this woman??? WHAT is she getting out of this??? Free publicity???

  6. Bessie – That is a thoughtful analysis, with the key question, Why is Gloria representing this woman (Sharon Bialek)?

As we know, Gloria is a strong supporter of the Dem Party, and I personally feel that someone higher up is “financing” this deal under the table with both Sharon and Gloria as the recipients.

Of course, Gloria never misses an opportunity to get in the limelight, which is obvious if one has watched TV for very long.

  7. It always seems to go back to Chicago for this regime:

DAVID AXELROD’S PATTERN OF SEXUAL MISBEHAVIOR
    November 9, 2011

Herman Cain has spent his life living and working all over the country — Indiana, Georgia, Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, Washington, D.C. — but never in Chicago.

So it’s curious that all the sexual harassment allegations against Cain emanate from Chicago: home of the Daley machine and Obama consigliere David Axelrod.

Suspicions had already fallen on Sheila O’Grady, who is close with David Axelrod and went straight from being former Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley’s chief of staff to president of the Illinois Restaurant Association (IRA), as being the person who dug up Herman Cain’s personnel records from the National Restaurant Association (NRA).

    =====
“Part Two: Portrait of a Presidential Fraud”

“FORGED PHOTOGRAPHS were used by the media to generate hundreds of stories about alias Barack Obama’s biography. They treated these photos like videos or worse, like eyewitness experiences. A handful of photos were endlessly recycled in countless “puff-pieces about Obama’s fraudulent family ties.”

  10. Observer; Axelrod does love a sex scandal… He was behind the Jack Ryan scandal and it was Rahm ‘leaker & chief’ Emanuel who tipped off Lynn Sweet of the SunTimes about the JJJ affair….Which by the way was just day’s after JJJ and Rahm had a meeting to keep the Mayoral race “civil”…It is definately their M.O…
CabbyAZ; I think you’re right…Sharon and Gloria have to be getting something out of this deal…Sharon might not know what’s involved in putting yourself smack dab in the middle of a sex scandal but Gloria does…With what is involved I can’t imagine anyone doing it for free and is the publicity enough compensation?

  12. As i have said many times here, isn’t it ironic that Obama and his minions can get records unsealed, yet we can’t do the same about his records. It would be the ULTIMATE irony if he is taken down by his own tactics. BTW, he really put the screws to his former mentor, Alice Palmer.

On a side note….after watching Perry’s temporary senior moment last night, I couldn’t help but wonder how a teleprompter would have saved him.

While I am hopeful that at least one of the sheriffs will diligently pursue an investigation, there is no guarantee that he or any of the rest will even lift a finger to get at the truth. No matter what the sheriff does the next step is the courtroom. So far we have not found ONE federal judge who is willing to uphold the Constitutional law of our land. I really wish that they would assemble all of their findings in a volume, certify it and put it all squarely in REED’s hands. If he fails to act upon the certified results of criminal investigators of the sheriffs departments, then he himself becomes a criminal perpetrator, and is prosecutable.

  18. The bad news is that for whatever reason, either the Cain scandal or something else, some moderates who might have voted for the GOP seem to be going back to Obama. Here are some interesting poll numbers. Remember the goal is to beat Obama. We have to win. Eyes on the prize. I’m sure the polls will change again over time:

President Obama now essentially ties, 43% to 42%, a “generic” Republican candidate when U.S. registered voters are asked whom they are more likely to vote for in the presidential election next year. This marks a change from October and September, when the Republican candidate was ahead, and underscores the potential for a close presidential race in the year ahead.

Voter preferences on this measure have shifted somewhat from survey to survey over the last year, but support for both Obama and the Republican has varied within a relatively narrow 38% to 47% range.

Obama gains two percentage points in his advantage over the Republican when taking into account the leanings of undecided voters, but the two remain in a 48% to 45% statistical tie.

  19. All in all, this is below probably a good summary on the Cain scandal; although, not quite a good endorsement of men in general. I’m not sure I fully agree with it, but I do with parts of it. The more the Cain scandal continues the higher the polls for Obama climb, it appears.

    http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/11/female_intuition_sexual_harassment_and_herman_cain.html

  20. I will sum up my feelings that if Cain is being wrongly charged, it is a huge shame and terrible. If Cain did something and the GOP loses as a result because of his refusal to come clean, people should be furious with him. I really don’t know what to believe. I think Cain’s strength is his speaking skill so he’s able to convince people that he did nothing wrong. He could be bluffing, but I want to believe him. I just don’t know. John Edwards wanted to run for the Presidency in the middle of a huge scandal. If he did and the charges came out, he would have sunk the Democrats. (Too bad that he didn’t.) Cain knows what he did and did not do. If he’s setting himself and the GOP up for more details to emerge while he runs for President and allows Obama to win, it will be a terrible shame. I don’t believe these women are bimbos, and should not be called such. They are doing what they feel is right in their hearts. Many men have had affairs and have gone on to be great leaders, even if, they were not great husbands. It’s not something I like though or want in my President. Time will tell as we say. If there is more to the stories, we will hear more, I am sure. If not, I hope it goes away quickly before Obama rises further in the polls.

  21. Perry’s mental block has finished him off. He might as well hang up the JOCK,I doubt that anyone would even vote for him as DOG CATCHER. He might FORGET where the DOG IS.

  22. Yep. I think Perry is finished. I think the folks who encouraged him to run did the country a big disfavor as someone else may have run if he had stayed out of it. Don’t know. The rest is history as they say. Bye for now folks.

  23. Tina, you are being manipulated by the MSM. Pick a candidate and promote them. Why are you so worried about what everybody else thinks?

  25. Remember that nobody is guilty of an alegation of criminal misconduct until he is PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW beyond all reasonable doubt. Nobody can LEGALLY DEMAND THAT SOMEONE SHOULD PUBLICALLY ADMIT TO SOMETHING WHICH HE/SHE ALLEGE THEY DID NOT PERPETRATE. ANYONE WHO WOULD DEMAND SUCH AN ADMISSION OBVIOUSLY IS EITHER DEMENTED OR HAS A CONTRADICTORY AGENDA. FURTHER NOBODY CAN BE JUDGE ,JURY,AND/OR THE EXECUTIONER. PUBLICALLY STATING THAT SOMEONE IS GUILTY OF CRIMINAL MISCONDUCT,WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF PROOF IS A PERSON ASKING FOR PROSECUTION THEMSELVES,PARTICULARLY IF THEIR ALLEGATIONS CAUSE THE PERSON THEY CHARGE FINANCIAL HARM,LOSS OF CONSORTIUM OF FRIENDS,AND BUSINESS LOSSES. SO IF YOU MUST CHARGE BE DAMN SURE THAT YOU CAN PUT CLEAR EVIDENCE OF THE ALLEGATION BEFORE THE COURT.

Tina, calm down….no need for hysterics and rather surprisingly new hand wringing on your part re: Mr. Cain. So far the facts appear to be on Mr. Cain’s side as well as the polls. Now if your wishful thinking is some kind of hopeful projection for your own feelings personally towards the man, so far a lot of folks aren’t buyin it. Sorry.

That is something someone like Newt could point out to him in a debate (Lincoln/Douglas type)….Mr. President, may I correct you….it’s corpsman, not corpseman.

But you know, with Obama wanting to tie the hands of our military in battle, he just may have been telling the truth of his own sick mind….truly desiring corpses on our side. Same thing he does with the “finger” that no one thinks a thing about!

Say, that is a good point, especially in light of the possibility that he is really Malcolm X’s son. X hated the white race and had nothing but disdain for America, especially its so-called “imperialism”. No wonder he could sit in Wright’s church and hear “G…D….America” for twenty years while listening to that black liberation teaching.

That “finger” thing is just so obvious – it has occurred too often in too many different situations to be an unconscious, innocent gesture; but until one sees the photo collection showing the multitude of times it has happened, one probably wouldn’t think about it.

  31. I too believe Perry is done. Even if he could be the best person for the job, I fear the electorate will not like his chances against Obama. So we are beginning to whittle down the list. I really like Santorum’s values and the positive gains he made in the US senate.. He just isn’t gaining any momentum. I don’t think the media will let Bachman continue…Huntsman has been making some sense, but I think he is too liberal. Paul, well he’s just Paul. I still believe Cain is being set up. My gut tells me he is a man of honor……but, I just don’t think we need another “on the job training”

president. Although some think a non-politician is refreshing, in this particular day and age, I believe we need someone with geopolitical knowledge. It is a scary setup going on in the middle east, china and russia. It isn’t enough to let the generals make the decisions. So we are down to Romney and Newt. Romney is so well polished, after all he’s been at this for many years. I just don’t know if I can trust him. I do think he will get the nomination, and I think he has a great chance garnering the Independent vote. That leaves us with good ole Newt. They say he comes with baggage, the trophy wife, the expensive jewels, etc., but he is the ONLY person, with all the experience and knowledge of what is going on in this great big scary world. Being a professor of history is just a plus for him. And don’t you just know he would wipe the floor with Obama in any debate on any topic…He is quite crude at times, but he says it like it is. I think this country is starving for just that attitude. No BS, just get the job done. BTW, if we can depend on the media, all the baggage will come out on all the possible contenders. Newt’s baggage is old news and will not be the “October Surprise”

I agree about Newt’s baggage being old news, but nonetheless if he wins the nomination, it will be the practice of the Dems to try to destroy him, just as was done in Illinois against Obama’s opponents there. They would probably wait until close to the voting date to spring something “new” on Newt, and he would not have time to recover. Dirty tricks!!

It would be interesting to see the type of Lincoln-Douglas debates between Newt and Barry. (Long enough to wear down the latter, especially with no TOTUS.)

We are battling a very dangerous enemy who is determined not to lose grip on the leadership of this country.

  34. The Real Scandal
    Thomas Sowell

“The real scandal goes far beyond the case of Herman Cain and his accusers. The real scandal is that the law allows people to impose heavy costs on others at little or no cost to themselves. That is a perfect setting for legalized extortion.

The fact that neither judges nor juries always stick to the letter of the law means that people who have zero basis for a lawsuit, under the law as written, can still create enough uncertainty to extract money from people who cannot afford the risk of going to trial.

As for a $45,000 settlement, that is what an organization would pay to settle a nuisance lawsuit — if they are lucky.

If we had a legal system where judges threw frivolous cases out of court, instead of letting them go to trial, that would put a damper on legalized extortion.

If those who bring charges that do not stand up in court had to pay the other party for their legal fees — and should have to pay for their time as well — these games could not go on.

It turns out that the women making televised charges against Herman Cain have past histories that do not inspire confidence, including in at least one case a history of making similar complaints against others.http://townhall.com/columnists/thomassowell/2011/11/10/the_real_scandal

  36. I think Perry’s camp was so intent on preparing him for debates, that he went into information overload. I am surprised he safely made his way out of the building. Poor man, 3 months ago, I would have bet the ranch on him.

Only the strong survive, and its important to get those that can’t handle the fire out of the kitchen. I just wish the press afforded the same diligence with Obama during his way up. They got their foot in the door now and it will be hell to remove them. At this point, if we can keep the house and take the Senate, I’ll settle for any Republican in the WH.

Earlier today ( I think it was on FOX) someone suggested that Newt would be a great WH press secretary. Ha, I can just hear him now! Bout time someone officially put them where they belong.

  37. Interested Bystander

    Tina,

I have a sugesstion for you.

Why don’t you wait until November 5, 2012, look at the polls and decide who you are voting for, so you can vote for the “winner”. It will save you a whole year of heartache.

Your comments simply make no sense. You are on the band wagon, then you’re off depending on what the polls say, or how tall a candidate is.

You suggest that these women wouldn’t come forward if they were asked to lie, but you suggest Cain is lying when he denies any harassment took place. (besides Sharon’s accusations aren’t even harassment connected because Sharon wasn’t an employee at the time)

You claim to have given sexual harassment classes, so I guess in your class you taught that no matter what the allegations are, they are viable and the accuser should be given the benefit of the doubt over the person the allegations are made toward?

You claim to be “vetting” the candidates, but you also seem to have a closed mind whenever some torrid allegation is made.

Where is ANY proof from these women.

Sharon claims her room was “upgraded” at the Hilton. You can NOT get me to believe that IF this happened the media wouldn’t have the evidence by now. I’d think it would be fairly easy for Hilton to go back and see what the original reservation was, and that it was upgraded. Doesn’t it raise a red flag that Allred didn’t have that evidence BEFORE she put Sharon out in front of the press?

Even this “libertarian” as you lable me knows that it wouldn’t be that hard to find out if Sharon was at the Hilton at the time she claims the “event” took place.

And this second woman who has come forward won’t even state what it is Cain supposedly did.

What we DO know about her is that she was given a SEVERANCE. We don’t even know what she claimed happened, only that a complaint was made, and according to Cain, the claim was deemed BASELESS. So the NRA gave her a “package” to get her out of their hair. Happens all of the time to folks when they are FIRED from a job.

When she tried the same tactic at INS, they told her to take a flying leap, and she left for the Treasury (does anyone else find it ironic that she ended up where money is printed?)

But yet you claim because she simply states that she was harassed, then we should give her the benefit of the doubt because it takes a “strong” woman to simply make a claim.

It is rather obvious that you are a closet Romney supporter.

Romney is a shill for the “establishment”, and I will NEVER vote for him.

Let me put it this way:

IF you are headed toward a cliff, it doesn’t matter how fast you are going when you go over the cliff, the results will be the same.

Obama is speeding toward the cliff at 200 mph

Romney wants to slow us down to 100 mph

either way, we still fly off the cliff.

    Paxson,

I believe that Cain will come out of this stronger in the court of public opinion, but I also believe the media will continue to use this against him.

I believe that the media will continue to lead in to reports on Cain with something like:

“The Republican nominee, who rode out sexual harassment claims last fall……………….”

As far as his lack of experience in the political arena, and I believe he is leading up to this, Newt would be a GREAT man for Vice President.

I still have reservations about Newt also being a “shill”.

Newt is a brilliant speaker, and is very knowledgable about how the political circus is conducted. For all of Newt’s “down” points, the positive point that he was the Speaker of the House the last time a budget was “balanced” (understanding that this “balance” was on the books only, not in reality when you put ALL of the funds spent in 1999 and 2000)

Newt knows how to “play the game”, and with Cain’s leadership skills, it seems that they COULD make a good team.

    Just my opinion of course.

  38. Drudge is now carrying the three Cain accuser stories: the voice lie detector test; Ann Coulter’s column; and the fact that the accusers won’t respond to the one’s desire to have a news conference … together….safer in numbers when your story alone won’t hold up?

  39. I prefer to see if any additional facts come out.

My personal story is that I find cases of sexual harassment to be believable because women in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s who were entering the work force faced lots of harassment back then. When I got out of college, almost every man in the office harassed every female in the offices I worked in. It was standard practice. Photos of females in bikini’s and playboy pictures were standard on company bulletin boards. If women complained they were party poopers and no fun. When I asked the men why they did it, they said they were men and it was expected behavior of men from their peers. They were proud of it. I think you know my family members participated in the 60’s civil rights marches. The civil rights organizers wanted racism to end, but did not care about ending women’s rights at that time in the 60’s. Women had to wait till later to get their rights.

When more women started filing law suits, companies finally got their acts together and then they started firing the harassers and companies starting holding classes to teach people not to sexually harass anymore. Now things are much more strict, but in the 90’s when these women said they were experiencing these things, harassment was happening. You often had to file multiple charges to protect yourself so I’m not worried that these women filed multiple complaints. I am going to wait to see what happens.

Herman Cain has received lots of training as a CEO on crisis management and how to look confident in the media. I’m not surprised the software would not pick anything up with him. Companies train their executives on this over and over. I use to train executives myself so I know.

I am not one to form opinions quickly and while people may encourage me to pick a candidate, I prefer to see what the vetting brings. There will be more debates and more information coming out about the candidates that I want to hear about. This should not be a cult. That mistake was made with Obama. I care about my country and want the best candidate.

  40. Tina: I’m not surprised the software would not pick anything up with him.
    ———————————————
I’m not either….but obviously for different reasons than yourself…..the background facts. And I’m not surprised that the test DID pick up a lot of negative stuff on that particular accuser!

Perhaps you should apply your “cult” warning to your seeming determination to have only Romney left standing….or are you flip flopping like your favored one on all of your previous attempts to shine dark shadows on just about everyone outside of him???

“Emails released by a House committee appear to show that a major donor to President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign discussed with White House officials a federal loan to a failed California solar company. That’s despite repeated assurances by Obama administration officials that the donor, George Kaiser, didn’t discuss the loan with the White House.”

That’s not what White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said back in September. Here’s Carney, on Kaiser:

“He did not lobby administration officials with regard to this, with Solyndra.”

Even President Obama himself denied any special treatment just last month:

“The process by which the decision was made was on the merits. It was straightforward.”

With these latest emails, it seems like anything but “straightforward.”

If it didn’t look like pay-for-play politics before, it sure does now. Billionaire George Kaiser bundled large sums of money for Democrats and the Obama campaign. And then the Obama White House gladly bundled up $535 million in a taxpayer-funded loan for the company in which he’d invested.

No wonder the White House has been avoiding Congressional subpoenas on the Solyndra investigation.

The more troubling question now is: What else are they hiding? This “most transparent administration in history” has been suspiciously opaque on their Solyndra dealings. And each time new details come to light, they create more questions—not fewer.”

“DOES THE GOVERNMENT WORK FOR US, OR DO WE WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT?”

    Judge Andrew Napolitano
    November 10, 2011

    Excerpt:

“As the global economies have collapsed in the past decade, nothing has been certain except for uncertainty. The world’s central banks, drunk on power, loaded their people up with debt and then slowly guided their economies to destruction. That’s the consequence of government control of the monetary system and means of exchange. Prices in an economy are like traffic signals, signaling where goods and resources should go and how fast. Central banks distort those traffic signals and even give the wrong signals. That’s why we get crashes — because of government traffic signals, because the government has taken “free” out of the marketplace.

But free trade does occur in the United States in some ways. The black markets are where people trade what they want for the price agreed on, free of taxes and free of government regulations, and at prices that are acceptable to the parties. Simply banning the transaction will not deter some portion of the population from attempting to acquire something — whether it’s bread, tobacco, drugs or guns — that the government doesn’t want us to have, at prices we are willing to pay. People will always trade what they have for what they want or need. That’s human nature. That’s a natural human right. The government cannot stop that. But, of course, governments have tried to stop the exercise of this right.

During World War II, for example, FDR and his cronies rationed sugar, leather, tea, tobacco, guns, coffee, fuel and many other items our parents and grandparents needed for everyday use. The stated purpose was that the troops needed these items and there was not enough to go around, so the feds would decide who got what and how much all these things would cost. But there was a black market for all these items, and there, the items were plentiful and the price was freely agreed upon. If the government had stayed out of the picture, the market could have existed in the light of day. We now know that FDR was as much interested in control of the population as in supplying the troops.

The government fears trade because it can’t control it. The feds would do well to remember the historical truth that where goods and services don’t move freely, armies will; and where goods and services do move freely, armies don’t. And when the black market becomes more prosperous than the one the government regulates, it will be time to change the government.”

I like Newt. He has baggage, but most people have been more negative on him than I have. I like Santorum. Others have pointed out his negatives, but I’ve been pretty positive. When others supported Perry, said we were forming a cult over him. Just saying. Read all of my posts. Not some of them. Romney has flip flopped and that’s what I have said about him many many times. Go back and read it. But someone has to win. I’m not sure it’s going to be Cain.

    Tina,

    Let me reply with this:

So what you are trying to get us to believe is that men had to be “trained” to stop “harassing” females in the workplace?

    What a joke in itself.

    And your comment:

“When I got out of college, almost every man in the office harassed every female in the offices I worked in. It was standard practice.”

Not sure where you worked, but I find this comment hard to believe. EVERY female was harassed?

    Standard practice?

And how can pictures of women in bikini’s be considered “harassment”? If you take your reasoning to it’s farthest degree, if someone who had a picture of their house on their desk, and it was a mansion, and I lived in a trailer, I could consider the picture of the mansion harassment because my house doesn’t look like the one in the picture.

It’s ridiculous to think that a picture can be considered harassment. I don’t care what the picture consists of, if you don’t want to look at it, don’t look at it. Your reasoning is IF ONE person finds something offensive, then it’s offensive. It’s my view that people should be MORE tolerant of others and NOT less as you suggest.

It seems to me that you are looking for everyone to think and act alike.

    Indoctrination comes to mind.

Tina, I have to comment that you are NO conservative.

In no way, shape, matter or form would I consider your beliefs to be the way a conservative thinks.

Now go on and tell me about how you believe that you have to believe in the bible, think that smoking, drinking, doing drugs, looking at porn and who knows what the next “vice” they will come up with that is wrong (maybe soda will be next, or maybe if you eat a McDonalds) before you are a conservative.

To me conservative is simply a term to determine how a Country should handle it’s business.

And in my opinion, the Country’s business IS NOT telling people who they worship, what they do to their own bodies, or what the look at.

    Those are ALL LIBERAL points.

I want to make it clear that I don’t mean to be so critical of your comments, but I do feel it is necessary to try to get YOU to understand that the MAJORITY of people believe as I do, and as long as you are for being restrictive of how INDIVIDUALS conduct themselves, then you are NOT conservative.

ANY time you restirct something, it is a LIBERAL point, NOT a conservaitve point.

No book banning, no “behavior” restrictions, no regulations and no indoctrination.

ALL of these are LIBERAL points, in my opinion.

  46. “NO, ATTORNEY GENERAL ERIC HOLDER STILL HAS NOT APOLOGIZED FOR BORDER AGENT’S MURDER”

    Katie Pavlich

    November 10, 2001

    Excerpt:

“POLITICO’s Tim Mak is reporting that Attorney General Eric Holder has apologized to slain Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry’s family for his murder as a result of Operation Fast and Furious.

Eric Holder has told the family of slain U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry that he is “sorry for the loss of your son,” according to a private letter from the Attorney General obtained by POLITICO.

“I am sorry for the tragic loss of your son, U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Brian was a hero who served his nation bravely and made the ultimate sacrifice,” writes Holder in a letter dated Wednesday.

“I agree with you that the tactic of allowing guns to ‘walk,’ as was permitted in Operation Fast and Furious, is completely unacceptable,” added Holder.

I have just spoken with Lana Domino, a close family friend of the Terry Family and she says Holder has absolutely not apologized to the Terry family for Brian’s death in a letter or publicly. Not only has Holder not apologized to the Terry family, Holder has never even spoken to them.

“The Terry family never received the letter, not today, not yesterday,” Domino tells Townhall.

Remember, during testimony on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Holder was asked by Texas Sen. John Cornyn if he wanted to issue an apology to the Terry family for the murder of their son as a result of the Justice Department’s Operation Fast and Furious. Holder responded to Cornyn’s question with, “It is not fair, however, to say the mistakes that happened in Fast and Furious directly led to the death of Agent Terry.”

Well Holder, these aren’t “assumptions,” they are facts. The fact is that two guns traced back to Operation Fast and Furious were found at Brian Terry’s murder scene.”

  49. Don’t be too impressed about the software bit. Again, even students in top MBA programs get training on confidence on how to beat that stuff. Top companies train their executives from VP and up on media crisis handling, how to speak, the tone of your voice, the modulation of your voice, the loudness of your voice, if your eyebrows go up or down, the look in your eyes, how to posture yourself to look confident, where to put your hands, what color suits to wear, what suits to wear with what matching tie, shirt, etc. Actors and Actresses get voice training now big time. They do focus groups on it. Have you noticed now in shows like 24 how people speak in a somewhat soft, but steady tone? That is all focus group tested. People go to seminars on it and are trainined on it over and over. It’s part of executive crisis management training now. There’s an industry around it. Whether Cain is lying or not, his performances in the debates reflect the training that he got throughout his career on how to be and act like an executive. Now he trains others. He’s written books on it. Plus he was a lobbyist with the NRA. Cain knows very well how to influence others. He’s a pro.

    Excerpt:

“The drum beat keeps getting louder for Attorney General Eric Holder over his role in Operation Fast and Furious. The latest to call for his resignation? Sarah Palin, and she’s also asking President Obama whose side he is on.

When the nation’s highest law enforcement official lies to the American people, he must go.

And if he claims that he didn’t lie, then how else do we explain this situation? He’s either lying or he’s so grossly incompetent and lazy that he didn’t read important life and death briefings from his deputy attorney general and didn’t know about this deadly operation run by people under him. So, which is it? Incompetent, lazy, or lying? No matter which explanation fits, he needs to go.

Holder conceded this week, “I have ultimate responsibility for what happens in the department.” He can prove it by resigning. And if he refuses to resign, then President Obama – with whom the bucks ultimately stop – can prove that he respects honesty, transparency, and accountability in his administration by firing Holder.

I stand with the members of Congress who are calling for Holder’s resignation. I stand with the family members of Brian Terry who are demanding transparency and accountability. Mr. President, where do you stand?”

  52. Tina, I have been in many, many situations in the corporate environment when women go beyond the guidelines in talking about sex, men, photo’s of men etc. etc. It’s not just one way.

    Also, did you see this?

  53. Yes, Paxson. Now many women are just as bad as men. I get sick when teachers and coaches of both sexes harass and do worse. But again, when women were entering the work force when it wasn’t at first popular to do so, they faced great harassment and that should be taken into account.

Also, it is not surprising if you go to a nursing home these days to see men of a certain generation who still do it. Again, they think it’s standard behavior. Then you tell them, it’s not, some even look surprised.

People without his training and experience would not be doing as well. A person is made up of their life experiences, education and corporate training. I personally think Huntsman is closer to Ron Paul then Cain is. Maybe, I’m wrong. Cain says clearly we should support Israel. Paul says clearly we should not support Israel. Huntsman wants to pull troops from everywhere and is closer to Ron Paul. We need to have more foreign policy debates and then I’ll know more.

All of us are manipulated by telemarketers and fund raisers by this book every time we get called and are asked for money. It’s a racket. 63. “PROGRESSIVES WANT RON PAUL TO APOLOGIZE FOR CALLING OBAMA ELECTED DICTATOR”

    Kurt Nimmo
    PrisonPlanet.com
    Thursday, November 10, 2011

    Excerpt:

“Democrats, led by the “progressive” TPM online magazine, are calling for Ron Paul to apologize for living in a reality-based world. TPM is tiffed because Paul described Obama as an elected dictator (see video below).”

    […]

“Ron Paul has not compared Obama to Gaddafi. He simply pointed out the fact Obama has violated the Constitution by issuing executive orders that bypass Congress and the American people. “The idea they can just do this and take over the legislative function and brag about it – and Congress does nothing and the courts do nothing about it, it’s very, very bad,” Paul told Fox News.

In October, Obama said “we can’t wait for an increasingly dysfunctional Congress to do its job. Where they won’t act, I will.” He said that he has looked at ways to violate the Constitution “every single day” and promised to issue “executive actions on a regular basis.”

Both Democrats and Republicans love to violate the Constitution. Bush ruled by executive fiat too, but Obama has taken the practice to a new level.

Serious constitutional violations through executive orders began in earnest when FDR was in office. He said that “the normal balance of Executive and legislative authority may be wholly adequate to meet the unprecedented task before us” and called for a “temporary departure from that normal balance of public procedure.”

FDR asked Congress to approve of his violation of the Constitution. “I shall ask the Congress for the one remaining instrument to meet the crisis – broad Executive power,” FDR said.

Obama has not asked for permission from a usually compliant Congress. He has dismissed Congress and the American people as “dysfunctional” and has promised to act like a dictator.

TPM is either unable to see this or is making excuses for Obama. It’s OK when Democrats stomp on the Constitution, but a crime when Republicans do it.

Thankfully, Ron Paul will not be following in the shoes of the spineless Denny Rehberg.”

“Network Managing Editor claims having well organized political support constitutes ‘gaming’”

    Steve Watson
    Prisonplanet.com
    November 10, 2011

“CNBC pulled an online poll 25 minutes after last night’s GOP debate, reasoning that “one candidate” was leading by a large margin – that candidate was, of course, Ron Paul.

As the following video shows, Ron Paul was ahead of the pack by a large margin, before the poll was unceremoniously pulled from the CNBC site altogether and replaced with a generic article titled “Who won the debate – Attendees weigh in”:”

    […]

“Brandon Smith of Alt-Market has a great commentary piece on the pulled poll, wherein he points out that punishing Ron Paul and his supporters for being highly motivated is asinine:

“What margin of success does CNBC consider “realistic” for a presidential candidate?” Smith writes. “I mean, is it really necessary for you to punish Ron Paul for being a popular candidate, or to punish his supporters for being well organized and showing up for the vote? Do you not see the half-assed absurdity of your claim that Ron Paul won by “too much”?”

As we have previously documented, it seems that a poll is only deemed legitimate by the mainstream media if Ron Paul doesn’t win it. If Paul is successful, the poll is automatically considered null and void.

This is to be expected given the fact that there is an admitted media talking point to ignore Ron Paul’s campaign and try and write him off entirely.

The mainstream media sponsored debates are a prime example. A University of Minnesota study recently confirmed the fact that Ron Paul has been given the least time to speak OUT OF ALL THE CANDIDATES at the debates, despite national polls consistently proving he is a genuine top tier candidate.

When Paul is given the opportunity to speak, he is faced with questions that directly insinuate his ideas are practically insane.

As Jack Hunter points out, during last night’s CNBC debate, the station flashed up a graphic indicating that tuition prices have gone up nearly 500% since the inception of student loans and American student debt is now $1 trillion. The anchors then proceeded to grill Paul on his plans to phase out the Federal government’s involvement in student loans, as if he were crazy to suggest the system was failing!

Paul was even interrupted mid-speech by one anchor asking him “how are students going to pay for education”, to which the Congressman shot back “The same way you pay for computers and cell phones.”, explaining that having a market place with healthy competition will naturally bring costs down and improve quality.”

It is quite clear that Ron Paul is maintaining a top tier status IN SPITE OF the mainstream media’s best efforts to derail his campaign.”

  69. Without taxpayer consent? What in reality does that mean? Israel has majority consent in this country and the great, great majority in congress support Israel. Even using those terms is anti-semetic because Americans support Israel. Plus Ron Paul loves to support the Palestinians anytime he gets and says Israel is an occupier, which is wrong. I really enjoyed the boos he got in the debate when he tried to speak about the so called occupation.

  70. No. I have my clothes on, Truth be told. Let’s stick to reality.

  75. Without taxpayers’ consent means spending the taxpayers’ money without the taxpayers’ consent. It’s that simple. America supports Israel and will support Israel without taxpayer funding. Israel cannot conduct its own affairs without input from the United States because the United States government holds this financial aid over Israel’s head. If Israel receives no funds from the United States government, the United States government will have no right to tell the Israeli government what to do. Israel will be supported by the American people. Ron Paul is right. Read the Constitution.

  76. Off to bed. I ran across an interesting article in UK. Food for thought.

Defend Britain from these euro dictators

Increasingly, it appears we are witnessing the death of democracy and the right of sovereign nations inside the eurozone to govern their own affairs.

First the overbearing eurocrats — led by France and Germany — bullied Greece into dropping its planned referendum.

Then they forced Prime Minister George Papandreou from office and made it plain that the country’s next leader must be a pro-Brussels technocrat of whom they, rather than the Greek people, approve.

    liberal hogwash i say

  78. ron paul is all wet on foreign policy, he’s a naive dolt. Israel is the father of our nation, we owe Israel much and these people that dis this relationship are completely and utterly clueless. Many people believe that lost tribes of Israel , when torn away by the Assyrians where settled in the Caucas region. Then they settled Europe, hence gaining the term Caucasian. From the Causcas, settled by many of the Lost Tribes. I am not going into detail about why their skin is white, but it is related to the antideluvian world, pre flood, the weather conditions present, and other matters that are recorded in the oldest known written history of man. Many of which are completely distorted by idiotic liberalism that is he ll bent on destroying our history, our culture, our traditions, our values, our family texture, and our morals.

however, he-ron paul- is spot on about domestic issues, especially regarding the medicaid, frank and dodd, and BERNENKE / FED

  79. The issue here is we are all suppose to be sovereign people kings of our lands. The DOI is all we really need. The constituition is a great document but but it is used to control us and enslave a nation. The govt says oh well take of u dont worry. You can have your god and guns well take care of u. As they take our homes and jobs and freedoms and so on and so on. Wake up. Ed rivera.com. For a real real history lesson and how we have been hijacked for over 100 years

  80. Hi folks, I’ve been away for a few hours and am just catching up on the latest here.

Bystander, good to hear from you again. Often you give me a real chuckle in the way you express yourself. I really agree about “being yourself”! Your comments directed at Tina make good sense.

Tina, after reading your posts today, I would say that you seem to be so well educated about the workplace and interpersonal relationships that you are hung up on some viewpoints that go beyond common sense.

It has been my experience that it doesn’t matter how much someone has been “trained” in speaking, conduct, etc., another person with discernment can see through any facade and sense the reality of the person. Many of us here can “read” people whether they have had special training or not.

I was very much in the professional office workplace for decades in the last century – yes, during the time you refer to when there were no curbs on sexual harassment, so to speak. Sure, there were incidents at times, BUT any wise woman knew how to handle them. We didn’t need the protection of harassment laws. How do you think, Tina, that our gender ever made it through those many years before the so-called restrictions?

Choose whomever you wish to support as president, evaluate them in any way you desire, and express yourself accordingly, but is this public over-vacillating of real benefit to yourself or anyone else?

    Cabby,

    Thanks for the compliment.

    It is much appreciated.

I know at times I come across as a pompus a$$, but I blame my mother, who is NOT afraid to speak her mind (even if others think it is wrong).

I also enjoy and look forward to YOUR comments.

    Tina,

I would once again state that it is NOT my intention to be critical of your comments, or you opinions.

It IS my intention to bring another opinion in to the mix.

I also need to comment that it is MY belief that Ron Paul is PRO Israel. Paul and the American people would stand by Israel, and HELP them if one of their enemies tried something, but ALL foriegn aid needs to be ELIMINATED.

I believe that the aid we give financially to Israel is your logic that Paul is anti Israel.

I actually linked a few weeks ago to Pauls stance on Israel.

    I read it, did you?

You do realize that we give MUCH more money to the Palestinians and Muslim Countries than we do Israel, don’t you?

    Cabby,

    Good article.

Also let me point out that I read CW every day, I just don’t comment very often (but boy when I do……………)

I would also comment that it sure has been nice around here without a “certain someone” commenting repeated posts every day, all day long.

I think this thread has almost one hundred LEGITIMATE comments.

Agree or not, I respect the commenters here at CW, oh we venture off the topic sometimes, but the back and forth is most always interesting AND informative.

I honestly can’t express how humbled I am by your compliment…………thank you.

    You’re very welcome, Bystander.
You say, “Agree or not, I respect the commenters here at CW, oh we venture off the topic sometimes, but the back and forth is most always interesting AND informative.”

I, too, feel the same way. We can always agree to disagree, but the exchange of ideas is very worthwhile and it is really beneficial to have other folks with whom to discuss the current events, and that is best done in a peaceful climate like there is here now. Have a great day!

  86. Good Morning! Wishing all Vets and families a GREAT DAY!

  87. Good morning Zach, et al.
Thanks to all vets for your service.

  88. …………….and ONE vet is wishing all the commentors on CW a great day as well. I did nothing other than what was expected of me as a citizen of the US. The people to thank are those who made a ONE WAY TRIP to the battle. I never lose sight of their supreme sacrifice. Their act HUMBLES me. I SALUTE THEM!
