On September 24, 2011, after actor Morgan Freeman accused the Tea Party Movement as being racist, I posted the following:

“The Tea Partiers who are controlling the Republican Party…their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term,”
This is mostly true and is my position as well.

1. Obama, with darker skin color, got the majority of the popular vote in 2008.
2. Obama is not a black man. His highest ethnicity is white!

4. I, like most folks in the Tea Party Movement, are not racist. My position is well documented.

TOTALLY OFF TOPIC, But just wanted to share something with all you readers. With the statistics rising, either you or a loved one is currently battling type2 diabetes. Years ago when my husband was first diagnosed with t2d, I read a lot about the effects of cinnamon. After several years of his up-and-down blood sugar readings, I encouraged him to try taking cinnamon. 3 months later at his regular Dr.’s visit, the Dr was surprised how well controlled his A1C was. We didn’t tell him what we were doing, just made him think that my husband was watching his diet (NOT). Anyway, at the next 3 month visit, his numbers were unfortunately back up. My husband confessed to me that he had stopped the cinnamon, he just got tired of taking it every day. Fast forward 5 years (and increased meds along with daily shots of insulin).. I recently urged him to go back on the cinnamon and after 3 days, his blood sugar readings are down to normal. He continues to take his meds, but still doesn’t watch what he eats….I have always been an advocate for natural or otc remedies rather than high priced prescriptions. As a footnote, I have normal blood sugar but also read that cinnamon also helps control cholesterol, so years ago when my husband first started taking the cinnamon, i took it also. 3 days later, I had a very LOW blood sugar event that scared the heck out of me. But, alas, it convinced me that the cinnamon was what did it. I can honestly say that it works to lower blood sugar, and if anyone out there is currently having trouble controlling type 2 diabetes, please give this a try and report back. OK? Take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon a day. My husband just mixes it in a cupful of warm water every morning. I know of some people that put it in their morning coffee. Do NOT stop taking your regular diabetes meds, just try this as a supplement and monitor your blood sugars regularly. I am quite sure you will see a difference. If your sugars are normal, I don’t recommend you do this as it WILL lower them. My husband continues to eat just about what we wants ( I do try to limit his carbs and he tries to avoid real sugar) but he craves breads, potatoes, pasta etc and has continued to eat them. The cinnamon has really made a difference so far…I will give an update in a few weeks to let you know if it continues to work. Good luck to anyone who is what they call a “brittle” diabetic and tries this. Be sure to test your blood regularly so you don’t put yourself into a low sugar situation. Anyone that has been battling t2d will know what I mean. Please report back and let me know how its going. thanks…

I am also not sold on the 999 plan. Reduction in government spending on all levels needs to occur and some kind of Tax cap needs to be signed into law. If the Federal government all of sudden changed my tax rate to zero, state and county would immediately back fill.
That is why I don’t get a tingle up my leg with the latest conservative messiah.

I attend a male leadership meeting at my church every Friday morning and I brought up Herman Cain and the room started buzzing. The new Zogby poll that has him up by 20 points is not shocking at all.

From a government source, the following information was gleaned.
Since Obama has occupied the White House, 30 CIA directed drone aircraft has targeted PAKISTAN more than 230 times killing more than 2,000 SUSPECTED militants and CIVILIANS.
The three key operative words in that statement are: PAKISTAN, SUSPECTED and CIVILIAN.
To me there is a lot wrong here.
First, are we at war with Pakistan? If so, then the American people need to be told. If we are not at war with Pakistan why have we allowed the CIA to kill over 2,000 citizens of that country.
Secondly, the statement by the government said the 230 CIA fly over drones had killed SUSPECTED MILITANTS. This is the part that gets to really bothering me. Before the CIA targets a living person, they should know beyond a reasonable doubt they are COMBAT MILITANTS. If a living person cannot be identified as a COMBATIVE MILITANT, then he is only a citizen of Pakistan.
Third, if the CIA is killing CIVILIAN CITIZENS of Pakistan and calling it collateral damage, the the CIA is guilty of MURDER in a country we are not at war against.
Now don’t any one go off on the deep end over my post. I hate terrorist perhaps more than the average citizen. But on the other hand, I do not believe in the killing of innocent civilians in pursuit of destroying SUSPECTED MILITANTS. Either they are MILITANT, or they are not.
Our government better be careful and confirm militants before they eliminate citizens of a foreign country.

The case against Aquila was dismissed in 2005 and then settled in 2007. In addition, when an employee gets stock options and then get greedy when they see that value going through the roof and fail to diversify their retirement portfolio that is on them.

O’Reilly is at it now, too. He compared Cain’s lack of experience with Obama’s in an interview with Huckabee, who tried to set him straight. O’Reilly is another one who has tried to diminish Cain’s successes. Does that tell us something? Imo, the prevailing forces are beginning to get afraid of him. Very afraid. I wonder why?

My conclusions about Cain first of all DON’T come from CW BLOG. I tend to believe what the MASSES tend to believe. Pehaps that is why Cain has scored better lately. The masses usually prevail when there is question presented by ONE or TWO people. We only need to look at what many MILLION others think……..they can’t ALL BE WRONG…..can they? The misnamed “Defense” Department (misnamed because after 9/11 the federal government created an entirely new department, Homeland Security, whose stated purpose was to in fact defend the country) is the one government program conservatives may never question. This one is run by omniscient angels who don’t even need to be audited. This one has no entrenched interests of its own that it might pursue at the expense of the common good. That’s true only of the farm lobby and the education bureaucracies. This is the Department of Defense, citizen. Trust them. USA! USA!
Can we put this silliness aside for just four years?
Can conservatives for once realize that their “limited government” slogan means limited government, not limited government plus a ludicrously far-flung military presence at odds with every shred of advice from the founding fathers about the incompatibility of permanent war with the health of a republic? Might they consider the slight possibility that the federal government is not just deceiving them about health care but about foreign affairs as well?
Can we do this just long enough to let Ron Paul, armed with more economic knowledge than the rest of the Republican field combined (I realize this is the faintest praise known to man), steer the country back in the right direction?

Given Herman Cain’s to date fundraising totals, I’m fairly certain that he is not bought and paid for by the cultural elite. That being said, I’m also not a libertarian anarchist, which you appear to be. That is why I am wondering why you aren’t in NYC pitching your tent and out rallying with the rest of the rent a mobs.

Oh, I agree. I posted my query to Sea Biscuit before I read his comment re. Ron Paul. That is one thing those OWS-type folks have – plenty of time to sit (whether in their basements or out on the street) and type away to their hearts’ content. Not much substance, of course, and not realistic approaches – just shooting the breeze, so to speak, and stirring up controversy.

In 1920 Warren G. Harding resigned as senator of Ohio to become the 29th POTUS
In 1880 James Garfield was the last member of the House of Reps to be elected POTUS. He won the senate seat that year but declined it to become POTUS.

Most Presidents are from the Private sector, The Senate or Governor. I can’t name the last POTUS who was from the House of Representative.
