Honorable Ronald A. Guzman                  Courtroom 1219 (RAG)

1:11-cr-00056   USA v. Frawley                         10:30   Sentencing

From Citizen Wells August 3, 2011.

“Has Daniel Frawley been talking to the Feds? Apparently Frawley will be sentenced on August 24, 2011. This comes after his sentencing hearing was suddenly delayed recently. A Chicago SunTimes article dated July 11, 2011 indicated that Frawley has been cooperating with the Feds.

“UPDATE: After this story was published Monday morning, U.S. District Judge Ronald A. Guzman canceled Daniel T. Frawley’s sentencing hearing, which had been scheduled for Tuesday. Court records did not indicate why Guzman did this. Frawley’s sentencing had not been re-scheduled.
Daniel T. Frawley once teamed with Tony Rezko — the political fixer who’s now in jail — in what turned out to be a doomed effort to open a training school for Iraqi security forces in western Illinois. Now, Frawley faces a federal prison stretch of his own.

On Tuesday, the 60-year-old onetime Chicago cop is set to appear before a federal judge for sentencing after pleading guilty in February in a $4.4 million bank fraud.

The scheme appears to have no connection to Rezko, the Wilmette businessman who was once a prolific campaign fund-raiser for politicians including the current president, Barack Obama, and the recently convicted former governor, Rod Blagojevich.

Still, federal prosecutors are seeking a reduced sentence for Frawley — of a year and a half in prison, rather than the 35 years he could face — apparently because Frawley has been secretly cooperating since at least 2006 in their investigation of Rezko, who was found guilty in June 2008 of having used his clout with the Blagojevich administration to enrich himself and his business associates.

Details about Frawley’s cooperation with the U.S. attorney’s office, the FBI and the Illinois attorney general’s office can be gleaned from a 65-page court deposition he gave seven months ago in a legal-malpractice lawsuit that he filed against his former longtime lawyer, George Weaver. In the lawsuit, Frawley accuses Weaver of having overbilled him and telling him to “withhold certain information from the government” when he was cooperating with authorities.

That sworn statement, given Dec. 1, 2010, is posted at suntimes.com/news/watchdogs. In it, Frawley talks about three meetings he’s had with law enforcement authorities since 2006. The deposition outlines how he secretly recorded Rezko, and it raises a new and unsubstantiated question about Rezko’s once-close relationship with Obama — an issue that dogged the then-U.S. senator during his presidential campaign four years ago.”

“More compelling passages from the Daniel Frawley deposition were presented at Citizen Wells on July 15, 2011.

“Attorneys Franklin & Schutte represent Frawley, plaintiff.

Attorney Konicek represents George Weaver, defendant.

Frawley: “George told me that he had a meeting at his office on LaSalle Street with Dan Mahru, with some people from First Bank–I didn’t know how many at the time–and himself. And George instructed me not to attend.”

Konicek: “So who said it to you, and where was it said to you?”

Frawley: “Dan Mahru told me that First Bank was agreeable to a settlement.”

Konicek: “In March 13, 2006, you had a conversation with Mr. Weaver where you say he instructed me not to cooperate.”

Frawley: “Yes, I had a conversation with Mr. Weaver where he instructed me not to cooperate.”
Frawley: “I was on the phone, making a phone call to Tony Rezko. I had a luncheon engagement with him.”

“George was outside of the room where I was making the telephone call, and the purpose of the call was for me to keep my luncheon engagement with Tony Rezko and to go over and to record Tony Rezko.”

“George saw and heard me on the phone, came running in and went like this [demonstrating]: Cut it,”

Franklin: “For the record, the deponent is crossing his hands across his throat.”

Konicek: “And Tony Rezko was where when you were speaking to him?”

Frawley: “He was on the other end of the phone. I don’t recall where he was.”
Konicek: “I’m assuming the information is about the payments made by Rezko to Obama, so we know we’re talking about the right conversation, right?”

Konicek: “Am I correct it was about Obama being paid by Rezko?”

Frawley: “I’m not answering that question, based upon my attorney’s instructions.”

Konicek: “But on March 13, 2006, you’ve already indentified for me being at 219 South Dearborn. You’re talking to Tony rezko on the phone, and Mr. Weaver makes this gesture to you, right?”

Frawley: “Mr. Weaver made the gesture and told me to get off the phone, to end the phone call.”
Konicek: “Okay. And then where were you instructed not to cooperate?”

Frawley: “In the same building, at 219 South Dearborn….in a different room.”
Konicek: “Did you bring to Mr. Weaver in Hinsdale a statement showing payment to Tony Rezko in the amount of $ 1.5 million?”
Konicek: “Are you going to answer?”

Frawley: “No.”

Konicek: “Are you asserting your Fifth Amendment privilege?”

Frawley: “Yes.””

  1. On May 24th just after Brenda Elliot’s RBO article on the very same Frawley vs. Weaver deposition, Frawley asked for an emergency seal on this case file….He was denied and given a court date of July 19th to hear his argument, on July 22, the Sun-Times article was released & his sentencing court date was postponed…The case file is still available but much of it is missing/stolen…

“If this guy prints more money between now and the election, I don’t know what y’all will do to him in Iowa, but we would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas,” Perry said to laughter from supporters in Iowa.

Another top-tier Republican presidential candidate, U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann, also criticized the Fed. “The Federal Reserve is not subject to transparency. The Federal Reserve has made terrible, grievous errors,” Bachmann told reporters in South Carolina on Tuesday.

  3. http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/rick-perry-says-fed-should-open-its-books/2011/08/17/gIQACbQELJ_story.html

“There have been a number of politicians who have stood up and really questioned the transparency of the Federal Reserve,” added the governor. “They should open their books up. They should be transparent so that the people of the United States know what they are doing and how they are doing” it.

“Until they do that there will continue to be questions about their activity and what their true goal is for the United States.”

  4. I bet Obama is paying Rita & the kid’s via an emissary of course…

  5. Besides the Obama eligibility issue, finance is another area where the media and partisan hacks are doing there best to innoculate the people of the country against the truth.

So many of the major economic bloggers are on a rampage right now telling us that there is massive deflation, the “inflationistas” have been as wrong as wrong can be and that the gold market is goofy and we should really look to the gov’t bond market for signals as to what is really going on.

The gov’t sanitized version of inflation is 3%+, so why are the deflationists crowing? I guess they think they can get by with it like they get by with saying that all of obama’s stuff is legit. And how could anyone believe that the gold market is the one being manipulated and the bond market is not? I mean really. The fed tells us exactly what they are going to do to interest rates in their effort to “control” the economy and we’re being asked to believe that the bond market is issuing informative signals as to what the market thinks. And that gold is a “bubble”, or is whacky or something. How can people print these types of things? It’s litterally everywhere, just like the pro-obama eligibility stuff is everywhere.

We live in a world where the truth isn’t even considered when writing something. Nothing but horse manure designed to advance someone’s interests.

It gets more amazing by the day.

  6. Bessie – do you know what happened to the RBO site? I used to visit it almost daily, and then one day, it was locked. Thanks in advance if you can shed any light on this.

Much like Obama’s official birth records, college records, immigration and passport records (including SAD), social security records, etc. Must just be a string of bad luck…

“Yesterday the president said I needed to watch what I say,” Perry said. “I just want to respond back to say: Mr. President, actions speak louder than words. My actions helped create jobs in Texas. The president’s actions are killing jobs in America.”

The governor drew one of the larger crowds in recent memory to the stately Bedford Village Inn for the breakfast, which has become a rite of passage for politicking in this first-in-the-nation primary state.

“He’s different than what we see in New Hampshire,” Leann Moccia, chairman of a council that trains Republican women for political service, said of Perry who arrived wearing a purple pin stripe shirt and tie. “He’s clearly pro-business, and that’s exactly what we need. I’m really looking for somebody who can beat the president.”

We live in a world where the truth isn’t even considered when writing something. Nothing but horse manure designed to advance someone’s interests…..
yo, I never thought this flagrant disregard for the truth would come. I’ve been thinking the same thing as you have. What comes to mind is a phrase from scripture, “….truth is fallen in the street……” (Isaiah 59:14).
From time immortal people have lied, but what we are seeing today is even worse than lying – it is total deception. Of course, the latter IS lying but encompasses the field in a greater way.

Furthermore, what we see today is lying – deception – running rampant in HIGH PLACES. When Old Salt says that “up is down and down is up” these days, he nails it on the head.

Here is another important thought. Whom do we have in the oval office?
The LIAR-IN-CHIEF. That’s whom. Believe me, the spirit of the leader filters down and infects others in high places (and low places, too). Another Bible verse says, “The wicked walk on every side when the vilest men are exalted.” (Psa. 12:8) This is an absolute principle that you can “take to the bank.”

Do you remember Senator McCarthy? He is the one who nearly cleaned out all the Communist creeps in Congress. Everybody thought he was a mental case. Look at what Congress has become without him. Perhaps we can find another “Congressional Cathartic” somewhere….soon. Just a thought.
Yes, Old Salt, I DO remember the hearings that Senator McCarthy held. He was ridiculed, maligned, and practically “ran out on a rail” because he told the truth. I know, I know – folks said he was on a witch hunt, etc. etc.
Perhaps his methods could have been refined, but he revealed much as to how the Commies had crept into every level of government. We know more today about the past infiltration than we ever would have if it hadn’t been for the efforts of McCarthy.

Everyone of those 70 congressional members of the Democratic Socialists of America has violated his/her oath to support the Constitution and ought to be widely exposed and expelled. But it won’t happen – Not in this day of political correctness and compromise.

  12. Communism used to be a dirty word but it appears it is alive and well right here in the U.S.A. This video is alarming!
The Agenda – Grinding America Down

From “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen

How many of these communist goals have been achieved since this book was written in 1958?

  13. Katie; Yes, I spoke with Brenda Elliott and she said she had to take it down because she is very busy with new projects…she is working on an investigative project, a book and short e-books…She was also concerned with people taking valuable research she is going to need for her future projects…

  15. How many of these communist goals have been achieved since this book was written in 1958?

From “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen

    1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
    2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
    3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
    4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
    5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
    6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
    7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
    8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
    9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
    10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
    11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
    12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
    13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
    14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
    15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
    16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
    17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
    18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
    19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
    20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
    21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
    22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”
    23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”
    24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
    25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
    26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
    27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”
    28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
    29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
    30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
    31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
    32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture—education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
    33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
    34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
    35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
    36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
    37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
    38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
    39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
    40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
    41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
    42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [”]united force[”] to solve economic, political or social problems.
    43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
    44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
    45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

  16. Wall Street targeted for Britain-style riots
‘Day of rage’ aims to ‘bring down the stock market’

In the wake of Britain’s riots, a group of American radicals are planning a “Day of Rage” targeting Wall Street and U.S. capitalism.

The upcoming protests, replete with a planned tent city in downtown Manhattan, is closely tied to the founders of ACORN and leaders of major U.S. unions, including the Service Employees International Union, or SEIU.
There are indications the protesters are training to incite violence, resist arrest and disrupt the legal system.

The protest aims to take root nationwide.

Activists are advertising on social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter for a “Day of Rage” on Sept. 17 to begin with the “occupation” of Wall Street and continue with protests across the nation

How many of these communist goals have been achieved since this book was written in 1958?
Oh, Jonah, very scary stuff! Thanks for reminding us. I know some folks on the blogosphere say that we should quit just talking to ourselves and DO something. Well, I believe that we need to communicate these things with each other as a part of “doing”, because in transferring information back and forth we are not only informed on the latest, but we are also inspired to push forward and not give up. Dialogue has always been a vital part of any good movement. It’s not just “talk”; it’s intelligent planning and stimulus.

  18. The electiion of 2012 is America’s laast gasp. If we don’t get it right, we may never recover in our life time!

  19. http://hotair.com/archives/2011/08/17/perry-rejects-global-warming-debt-ceiling-compromise/

Rick Perry continues his campaigning in New Hampshire today, where Mitt Romney is expected to perform strongly in the first primary of the nomination process (Iowa is a caucus, of course). The Texas governor and new frontrunner campaigned strongly to the right, rejecting both the notion of anthropogenic global warming and the debt-ceiling compromise approved by Congress earlier this month:

Rick Perry says he does not believe in global warming. The newest Republican presidential candidate also says he would not have signed the debt-ceiling compromise brokered by Republicans and Democrats. …
The Republican also said the debt-ceiling compromise, which helped avoid a national default, sent the wrong message by spending money the nation doesn’t have.

  20. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/rick-perry-a-texans-exceptionalism/2011/06/24/AG79PejH_story.html

French cuffs and cowboy boots are, like sauerkraut ice cream, an eclectic combination, but Perry, who wears both, is a potentially potent candidate for the Republican presidential nomination because his political creed is uneclectic, matching that of the Republican nominating electorate. He was a “10th Amendment conservative” (“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people”) before the Tea Party appeared.

  21. Cabby,
That video scares the hell out of me. You, oldsalt, I, and a few others here are old enough to remember when communism was a dirty word. It is frightening to see that communism was not defeated. It is back in full force and covertly laying claim to the land of the free and the brave. The fact that so many of the 1958 goals have been achieved is mind boggling. Has the damn burst? Has the flood overtaken the freedoms we have relished for two centuries? Is it too late? What are we to do?

  22. The usurper wants to make another speech about improving the economy and jobs. Really, who is still believing this nut case criminal in chief? Media is calling Perry unpresidential (not that I am necessarily a Perry fan). Nothing is more unpresidential than the current occupant. Anyone is better than bo. We need a person who is eligible and who loves our country and the people he/she represents. Bo insults the people of this country such as the tea party. I have never seen anyone who held that office who insulted any of the American people until this moron came along. People are fools if they still support and believe this lying jerk.

  23. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011/06/24/five-reasons-why-believe-texas-governor-rick-perry-will-be-our-president-in/

Current Texas Governor Rick Perry will, in all likelihood, be president of the United States in January of 2013.

  24. 1. Perry Has Created More Jobs Than Obama

Of all the issues that will face the nation in 2012, the one that weighs even now most on the minds of those around household dinner tables is where they will find the next month’s paycheck.

In my book I detail the deterioration and the inexplicable refusal of solutions that will work by the Obama administration.

President Obama was hired by the America people to make the economy better, to lower unemployment, to see Americans grow their wealth, and at every level he has failed.

It’s bad enough that one out of ten workers can’t find work. But the most damning statistic is that one out of five families is working as hard as they possibly can, but still can’t pay their bills.

Meanwhile over that same time period Governor Perry has overseen job growth in Texas that sits at 47% of all jobs created in the entirety of the United States — just during the two and half years Obama’s been in office.

    2. Perry Respects the Importance of Small Business

While President Obama has been loading up the tax burden, fees, fines, and penalties for small businesses with his ObamaCare plan, the threat of higher taxes, and environmental pipe-dreams like “cap-and-trade,” Governor Perry has reduced trivial regulation and has made Texas a dynamic environment to grow business. He’s been so successful that corporations are relocating from the troubled states of California and New York. They’re coming to the Lone Star State to set up shop, provide better service, and pay their workers better wages.

Gov. Perry was even invited just a few months ago to the California Assembly to chat with lawmakers about how to create small business growth. One of those Assemblymen was so inspired by the governor he started the “draft Perry” movement.

    3. Perry Understands the Issue of State Sovereignty

Governor Perry has been famous for not exactly playing ball with the folks Washington, D.C. He has tried to use everything from humor to a serious demeanor in his opportunities for dialogue with President Obama and his administration to convince them of the problems that can happen when the federal government oversteps, overreaches, and over spends.

He has refused federal monies for programs his state did not need. Even when Texas was experiencing massive wildfires his behavior was counter-intuitive for most politicians.

He did not immediately turn to Washington with his hand out. Yet when his state’s resources had been depleted he did come forward and ask for federal disaster aid in fighting the blazes. He’s still waiting for an answer to his multiple requests for help from the administration.

As an aside, let me say that the administration’s silence on the Texas wildfires looks like pure politics.

    4. Perry Has Core Convictions

Recently Governor Perry allowed his Labrador Retriever to accompany him on his daily six mile jog. While on his run, he and his pet were accosted by a menacing coyote. After remaining still and waiting to see what the wild coyote would do, the governor pulled out a .380 Ruger and shot the coyote dead when it become apparent the coyote was after his pup.

When he returned to the governor’s office he was queried about his “heartless” actions towards “innocent” animals. After answering more than one question on the matter, and in a mildly exasperated manner he replied, “Don’t go after my dog!” In other words while the press was confused about his value system, he saw it in very simple terms.

Gov. Perry’s commonsense approach to problems and his core convictions resonate with the average American voter. There is such a thing as right and wrong. Not everything or everyone needs a presidential Blue Ribbon Commission to determine what’s wrong and what’s right.

    5. He Appeals to All Three Categories of Conservatives

Ronald Wilson Reagan was the first Republican candidate to bring together the conservatives across the economic, social values, and strong military spectrums. Governor Rick Perry has already demonstrated his ability to do the same.

His economic abilities have already been cited. But he also supported the “loser pays” tort-reform bill in Texas. Trivial lawsuits will automatically diminish in the future because those bringing them will have little incentive to try to shake down an organization by merely attempting to wear them out.

He also supported the sonogram law, pleasing pro-family advocates, which allows a legal abortion in Texas only after the mother of the unborn child is able to see her child with her own eyes first.

He also pushed for passage of a voter ID law which will go a long way to insure the integrity of the voting process in future Texas elections.

His shared values of faith, his belief in the decency of America, and his lack of apology for sticking to his beliefs contrast very well with a current president who is best described as “ruthlessly pragmatic.”

Obviously there is much ground yet to cover before the elections of 2012. But Governor Rick Perry of Texas appears to this New Yorker to have the moxie, the methods, and material success in office to challenge President Obama on his rather lackluster “credentials” over the last two years–which is all he had to begin with.

I also love the fact that Gov. Perry wasn’t even interested in the 2012 presidential race until recently. Maybe it’s a good thing not to have people who lust for power live only to achieve it.

He’s not even in the race yet, and this column is not an endorsement, it’s a prediction. As a nationally syndicated talk show host, I am committed to having all of the candidates seeking the GOP nomination on my program. Friday, former Gov. Tim Pawlenty joined me. and will ask each of them the very same important questions of our economy, our national security and our future.

All that being said, if this economy keeps feeling like a dead coyote on an empty Texas highway, all bets are off.

  25. I have little hope that the judge is Hawaii is going to give orly what she wants. Even if the law specifically says she is entitled to it, the judge has no upside by following the law. His job and his life might be in danger if he does. If he flauts the law, he’ll be applauded.

I’m beginning to think we have two possible ways this will ever come to a just conclusion.
    1. Somebody who was on the inside of the scam gets a conscience and comes clean.
    2. We somehow find out who the real owner of the social security number was.

Even if one or both of these things happen, they still may not force Obama form office, (unbelievably), but the truth will be exposed that nobody can dispute.

  31. Cabby, Jonah, et al….

Does anyone remember a fire-breathing General by the name of Edwin Walker, who was forced to resign because of his stand against Communism in 1959? Walker was Commanding General of the 24th Infantry Division which replaced the 11th Airborne Division in the cities of Munich and Augsburg, Germany.

General Walker had the same outspoken mannerism’s about communism that General George S. Patton did at the end of WWII, and he did not hesitate to called a spade a spade.

The Washington politicians and arm chair generals forced Walker from the army because he openly confronted communism and he did not know, or care to know, how to play the politically correct game.

They ask Walker to retire with pay, he had 24 years service, But he told them to shove their retirement pay, he didn’t need their money, he owned a small ranch in Texas.

Fortunately for General Walker, that small ranch happened to sit in the middle of downtown Dallas.

Now Walker was my kind of cowboy!

  37. I spent a lot of time in the US Army, but I fail to understand what the policies and positions of our military is today! I think Obama’s fingerprints are all over this SSGT Moran situation.

SSGT Moran, an enlisted man, did exactly what LTC Larkin, an officer, did. They both refused to acknowledge and accept Obama as their legal Commander-in-Chief.

The officer was reduced to private, sent to the military prison at Leavenworth Ks. for six months, and given a DISHONORABLE discharge. The officer was given a kangaroo court martial, not allowed discovery, or a proper defense because what he discovered would ” embarass the President”.

The enlisted man openly told his superiors he was absent without leave, AWOL, and would not return to duty until Obama proved he was a valid CinC.

Now we learn SSGT Moran has been given an HONORABLE discharge and is on his way back home with his family.

The manner that the military handled the SSGT Moran incident is completely opposite that of LTC Larkin. The burning question is WHY?

PLEASE don’t misunderstand me. I praise SSGT Moran for standing up for his convictions. I admire his courage of conviction, and willingness to accept what ever came. I hope and pray that more men of courage will stand up against this tyrant who is playing CinC.

Two things readily come to mind about the SSGT Moran affair:

    1. The military has just given EVERY man, officer/or enlisted, the opportunity to exit the service by simply stating they will not obey orders because they do not think Obama is qualified to be CinC.

If word of SGGT Moran’s HONORABLE discharge spreads among the different branches of services, the general in Washington can expect a MASS EXIT, claiming only that they do not believe Obama is qualified to be CinC,

That will leave only the misfits and gays to guard and defend our nation. I for one will not sleep well at night should that happen.

    2. Because the military gave SSGT Moran an HONORABLE discharge, it would appear to me that LTC Larkin has just been given a golden opportunity to appeal his court martial. Any REASONABLE Court of Law in the country should overturn his DISHONORABLE discharge and restore his honor.

    Nothing is ever set in stone except;
What is fair for the goose is good for the gander.

If SSGT Moran can be given an HONORABLE discharge with no blimishes on his record, then LTC Larkin deserves the same statue.

God bless both men of honor, keep the faith, and lets all resolve to keep the pressure on Obama in every way we can.

If anyone deserves a DISHONORABLE discharge, it’s the man in the empty suit.

“You got our gun control regulations through! Great job! Here’s promotion!

ATF agents involved in Operation Fast and Furious who should have been fired by now for putting over 2000 high powered weapons into the hands of ruthless Mexican drug cartels, on purpose, have been promoted. Yes, promoted. Only in government can you have blood on your hands and get a pay raise and moved from the Phoenix Field Office to a cushy office in Washington D.C.

The three supervisors have been given new management positions at the agency’s headquarters in Washington. They are William G. McMahon, who was the ATF’s deputy director of operations in the West, where the illegal trafficking program was focused, and William D. Newell and David Voth, both field supervisors who oversaw the program out of the agency’s Phoenix office.

McMahon and Newell have acknowledged making serious mistakes in the program, which was dubbed Operation Fast and Furious.

“I share responsibility for mistakes that were made,” McMahon testified to a House committee three weeks ago. “The advantage of hindsight, the benefit of a thorough review of the case, clearly points me to things that I would have done differently.”

McMahon was promoted Sunday to deputy assistant director of the ATF’s Office of Professional Responsibility and Security Operations — the division that investigates misconduct by employees and other problems.

Kenneth E. Melson, the ATF’s acting director, said in an agency-wide confidential email announcing the promotion that McMahon was among ATF employees being rewarded because of “the skills and abilities they have demonstrated throughout their careers.”

Newell was the special agent in charge of the field office for Arizona and New Mexico, where Fast and Furious was conducted. On Aug. 1, the ATF announced he would become special assistant to the assistant director of the agency’s Office of Management – IN WASHINGTON.

Voth was an on-the-ground team supervisor for the operation, and last month he was moved TO WASHINGTON to become branch chief for the ATF’s tobacco division.

**** William Newell was the agent who lied to Congress by saying ATF never let guns “walk” during testimony on Capitol Hill in July, despite Operation Fast and Furious being an operation that involved giving drug cartels guns from the beginning in order to “track down,” cartel leaders. **** From July 26, 2011:

“These guns went to ruthless criminals,” Carlos Canino, ATF Acting Attaché to Mexico said in testimony on Capitol Hill Tuesday regarding the scandal-plagued Operation Fast and Furious. “It’s alleged that over 2,000 guns were trafficked in this investigation. To put that in context, upon information and belief, the U.S. Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment has approximately 2,500 rangers. That means that as a result of this investigation, the Sinaloa cartel may have received almost as many guns that are needed to arm the entire regiment. Out of these 2,000 weapons, 34 were .50-caliber sniper rifles. That is approximately the number of sniper riles a Marine infantry regiment takes into battle.”

Remember, William Newell, who again has been promoted, would not admit Operation Fast and Furious was a bad idea and would not say he wouldn’t do it again.

Former ATF Special Agent in Charge William Newell would not condemn Operation Fast and Furious and allowing guns to walk into Mexico during testimony and questioning. **** In fact, Newell went so far as to say he was unaware of guns walking into Mexico, despite internal emails showing he did know. **** Newell admitted the agency made mistakes but would not admit the program was a bad idea and exposed that he was in communication with a member of the White House national security team. His testimony also conflicted with previous testimony given by Special Agent John Dodson of the Phoenix Field Division who said on June 15, “Allowing loads of weapons that we knew to be destined for criminals, this was the plan. It was so mandated.”

“At no time in our strategy was it to allow guns to be taken to Mexico,” Newell said, adding that at no time did his agency allow guns to walk.

“You’re entitled to your opinion, not your own facts,” Issa responded.

Listen To This Man Lie, Stall, & Completely Fabricate His Story:

“If you’re wondering, Fast and Furious hasn’t led to a single arrest of a drug kingpin and has resulted in the murders of two U.S. federal agents and countless murders of innocents in Mexico. Now, Operation Fast and Furious has resulted in the promotion of the very agents who carried out the operation, despite knowing it involved huge risk and would get people killed.

In addition, new gun control measures targeting Southern border states have been implemented by the Obama Justice Department as a result of Fast and Furious, and the operation was designed to promote gun control from the beginning. Seems like these agents did their job to get those new gun control measures implemented and are being awarded by the Obama Administration for doing so. Newell is also the agent who admitted the White House was involved with Operation Fast and Furious.

    Remember this email?

    What a coincidence!

  46. “Obama Administration Caught Running False Flag Against Second Amendment – Alex Jones Tv”

    Paul Joseph Watson
    Friday, June 24, 2011

“Despite the Obama administration’s best efforts to characterize Operation Fast and Furious, a recently revealed ATF program that sought to put U.S.-based firearms into the hands of Mexican drug smugglers, as little more than a ‘screw up’, the most damning evidence strongly indicates that the whole operation was in fact an attempt to launch a false flag assault on the second amendment rights of the American people.

Under Operation Fast and Furious, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives “Sanctioned the purchase of weapons in U.S. gun shops and tracked the smuggling route to the Mexican border. Reportedly, more than 2,500 firearms were sold to straw buyers who then handed off the weapons to gunrunners under the nose of ATF.” Some of the weapons were later used to kill US Border Patrol agents like Brian Terry.

An editorial posted at Investors.com this week asks, Was Fast And Furious A Gun-Control Plot?, a reasonable assumption to make given the fact that Obama has openly revealed his administration’s plans to sabotage the second amendment by stealth.

“Rather than a botched attempt to catch criminals, was the ATF program actually an attempt to advance gun-control efforts by an administration that has blamed Mexican violence on easy access to U.S. weapons?” asks the author.

“If “Operation Fast and Furious” was merely a botched attempt at law enforcement, why was a supervisor of the operation, David Voth, “jovial, if not, not giddy but just delighted about” marked guns showing up at crime scenes in Mexico, as career Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent John Dodson told Rep. Darrell Issa’s House Oversight Committee?”

The Obama administration and the ATF claim that the program was part of a sting operation to catch leading Mexican drug runners, and yet it’s admitted that the government stopped tracking the firearms as soon as they reached the border, defeating the entire object of the mission, unless the mission was about pushing through gun control in the US and had nothing to do with the drug war.

That would also explain why ATF agents like James Casa were repeatedly ordered to stand down and not seize the firearms, while the Obama administration failed to even inform Mexican authorities of the program’s existence.

Unbelievably, both Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder maintain that they had no knowledge of the operation until it became public, and no one will admit to authorizing it. ATF Acting Chief Ken Melson is “strongly resisting pressure” to resign over the program, claiming that he is being used as a “fall guy” to take the blame and make the controversy disappear.

However, the notion that the Obama administration would deliberately implement a program they knew could later be used to demonize gun rights is hardly conspiratorial given the fact that Obama himself told gun control advocate Sarah Brady earlier this year that his administration was working “under the radar” to sneak attack the second amendment.

During a March 30 meeting between Jim and Sarah Brady and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, at which Obama “dropped in,” the president reportedly told Brady, “I just want you to know that we are working on it (gun control)….We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”

The quote appeared in an April 11 Washington Post story about Obama’s gun control czar Steve Croley.

There also seems to be little motivation on behalf of the US government to catch drug smuggling kingpins in Mexico by way of sting operations involving firearms given the fact that those same kingpins are in many cases working for US intelligence itself.

As we reported years ago, former DEA agent Cele Castillo has blown the whistle on how the US government controls the Los Zetas drug smuggling gang and uses it as the front group for their narco-empire.

With the gang having first been trained at the infamous School of the Americas in Fort Benning, Georgia, Castillo affirms that Los Zetas are still working for the US government in protecting drug routes to keep the wheels of Wall Street well-oiled. Castillo has gone on the record to state that the commandos are working directly for the US government drug cartel in carrying out hits on rival drug smugglers who aren’t paying their cut.”

“By the end of September, when fiscal 2011 ends, House Speaker John Boehner must answer a simple yet profound question: Will he lead a Republican-controlled House of Representatives in enacting government funding bills for fiscal 2012 that allow tax dollars to flow to a group that kills an average of 910 unborn babies per day?

Boehner ought to say: No way. Case closed.

Because Article 1, Section 9 of the Constitution says that “No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law,” a voting majority of the House has veto power over federal spending items.

If the appropriations bills for fiscal 2012 prohibit the president from taking taxpayers’ money and giving it to a group that does abortions, the president cannot do it.

But will the Republican-majority House, led by Boehner, exercise that authority when it enacts the bills to keep the government running after Sept. 30?

In this fiscal year, Boehner caved — and permitted funding of Planned Parenthood.

In 2009, according to a fact sheet Planned Parenthood posted on its website, the group aborted 332,278 babies.

Had Planned Parenthood’s abortionists worked seven days a week for all 12 months of the year, they would have needed to slice and suction 910 babies every day to amass that death count.”

There is absolutely no doubt that he is the modern-day joke about the city workers all leaning on a shovel: if you want to show an example of a goldbricking government employee, it would be one of Eric Holder sitting behind a desk. Think about it: my wife and I have known that Obama has had numerous Social Security numbers even before the election and Holder hasn’t done one little thing about it. “The Aga Khan Development Network is doing all this in partnership with the Syrian government that is now firing on its citizens, and for years has allowed the jihad terror groups Hamas and Hezbollah to operate with impunity out of Damascus. Sure, the Ismailis are peaceful. But why shouldn’t there be questions about a candidate’s friendship with the owner of a bank accused of funding al-Qaida (and never exonerated), a man who also does business with the terror-supporting government of Syria?

The fact that Hamas-tied CAIR, one of the top five groups named in AFDI’s Threats to Freedom Index, immediately praised Perry, speaks volumes. All this speaks to a pattern. And the pattern is not good. It speaks to a pattern of going along with our civilization path to suicide. No matter who wins the nomination, I will support him or her with every breath of my body. But I am going to fight like a cat to get the right cat there. Of course, a candidate should make nice with Muslims who oppose jihad. But introducing the Islamic whitewash into our public schools and universities is the most dangerous thing you can do. It is not my intention to damn all Muslims, but we need a president who will call out the Islamic supremacist groups on stealth jihad. That is real political courage, not calling for tax cuts.

We have had enough of dhimmi candidates who kowtow, out of ignorance or financial interest or both, to Islamic supremacists. In my new book, “Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance,” I detail the advances it is making, and show how Americans can and must resist. Do you really think that Rick Perry, in light of the information above, is the man who is going to lead that resistance? Has Gov. What you said in your comment is EXACTLY what I have been thinking about. First the Army prosecutes a commissioned officer for doing what he is expected to do under the terms of the UCMJ, and the oath which he/she takes as a commissioned officer in ANY of our military forces, then they do an about face and reward SSgt. Moran with a HONORABLE DISCHARGE. What the hell is going on at the top echelon. One thing is abundantly clear, the military commandants(Joint Chiefs) have to be either on drugs, or no longer even give a damn about anything, except playing MR. or MMMSSSS IMPORTANT. If this is the case then HELL is going to soon follow, and there is a strong liklihood that it could start with those who are presently under fire. If they lose faith in the Chain of command ,and have demonstrable proof of such erratic treatment of two people for largely the same alleged offense, then the stage is set for a coming living hell within our military forces.

  68. Pat 1789 and Free sppech, below is the comment of the year, Just for you. Posted yesterday by active military Sergeant Lewis

I am a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. I support Ron Paul and I support his foreign policy. I am sure you would not dare call me a Paultard to my face.

No, you would give me the same parroted line I hear 100 times a day, “Thank you for your service”. When I hear some flabby couch potato like you say that to me it makes me sick. Yes, I serve our country, but our wars do not.

I do my best to keep my men alive while we carry out this sick policy of sticking our noses in other peoples business. When was the last time you had a friend die in your arms or look for the leg that was just blown off of the man next to you? When was the last time you walked past dead children that were killed by U.S. weapons? I’m glad you can sleep at night, because many times I cannot. I have children myself you self righteous SOB. If someone killed my children you can bet I would do everything in my power to seek revenge.

You dare call me rabid and blind? I know what I am talking about. Why don’t you grab a gun and head to Iran if you want to fight them so much. Ron Paul is right. They are no threat to us. We need to mind our own business. They hate us not because we are rich and free, they hate us because we are in their countries.

It is people like you that are the biggest threat to this country, not Iran.

  74. ‘Liberty lovers’ flock to Paul event
By: CNN Political Producer Rachel Streitfeld

Concord, New Hampshire (CNN) – While Rick Perry dominated the political dialogue at a speech in Bedford, New Hampshire, 30 miles away a group of several hundred “liberty lovers” lined up to cheer on Ron Paul.

Paul, the Texas congressman whose libertarian views have inspired a legion of full-throated conservatives to unswerving devotion, opened his campaign office in the state capital of Concord Wednesday evening. His supporters turned out in force.

Traffic was backed up onto the road as supporters searched for spots at the office park where the headquarters will open. Throngs of people toting yard signs waited in line to sign in and grab a plate of barbecue.

Gentlemen – I defer to your experience and wisdom, but if the powers that be behind the usurping puppet wanted to “break” the US military, what more effective way than to do what was just done? Sadly, I’m not feeling a warm fuzzy for the “top echelon” any more than I feel a warm fuzzy for the DOJ. And as the wife of a retired military man, I get nauseous just thinking this.

This situation, imo, is a deal breaker. It’s either going to end the usurper’s reign, or it’s going to be the nail in the coffin of the Republic.

  77. Gov Perry has addressed the libetarian issues better than Ron Raul.

    Do You Understand the Constitution?

    by John Sutherland, ©2011

(Aug. 15, 2011) — Having had some rather intense inline correspondence with conservatives in recent days who were basically attacking Ron Paul as a kook, wanting the federal government to perform actions that they think is important, regardless of the constitutionality, and having the federal government control the actions of the states. My only retort to them was to follow the Constitution, and to which, of course, I was told I just don’t understand the Constitution.

So, to simplify and declare my understanding and my position regarding the Constitution, here goes: Read more.

  81. Bill Maher’s 2012 Republican Pick: Ron Paul

  82. Just looking at Obama’s shiny new bus and wondering how many people he can throw under it?

  83. 2012: Who are the frontrunners? (According to the info we are given.
So here you have it. http://commonsense2012.hubpages.com/hub/Real-Journalism Next time I hear a parrot say “He can’t win,” I’ll visually, in my mind’s eye, turn the little individual into a puffy fluff of parrot-like colorful feathers. And next time I hear a parrot say he’s “whacko,” I’ll visually turn the little individual into something more akin to a bald necked condor. RP scores TOP on traditional republican values. If that is whacko, then perhaps folks should start differentiating between neocon and paleo-conservative. If neocons control the Republican Party, then it will finally (largely past due) be time for a mass exodus.

Now for the tally. Three different methods will be used to accommodate any variances.

The first method in which we will calculate/verify the “frontrunners” is give 1-8 points for each ranking they receive. (1st place = 8 points, etc.) For the final category, each candidate will receive 1 point per “Y”. The more points, the better. (See the link.) The results follow:

    Ron Paul : 62
    Michele Bachmann : 57
    Mitt Romney : 55
    Herman Cain : 40
    Rick Perry : 39
    Newt Gingrich : 37
    Rick Santorum : 32
    Jon Huntsman : 18
    Thaddeus McCotter : 7

The second method will take averages of all of their points per category and tally them. (Eliminating the possibility of bias error due to lack of participation in certain categories : X’s.)

    Ron Paul : 28
    Michele Bachmann : 25.5
    Mitt Romney : 23.25
    Rick Perry : 19.33
    Herman Cain : 19
    Newt Gingrich : 17.75
    Rick Santorum : 16
    Jon Huntsman : 12
    Thaddeus McCotter : 6.5

The final method will use the previous results, minus the fourth category (As some may say the Republican platform has changed, thus making the results inaccurate.)

    Ron Paul : 21
    Michele Bachmann : 19.5
    Mitt Romney : 19.25
    Rick Perry : 13.33
    Herman Cain : 13
    Newt Gingrich : 11.75
    Rick Santorum : 10
    Jon Huntsman : 5
    Thaddeus McCotter : 0.5

There are your results. All of the categories that make up frontrunner status actually support, for the most part, the news that has been spreading. While Romney, Perry, and Bachmann are arguably frontrunners, Ron Paul actually lands an official spot on the top (literally). Perry seems to fall short of “frontrunner” status in a few of these results, but one must remember he has not proven his presidential success in fundraising as of yet. Thus, to show no bias, it must be reported on in its current state. To see which frontrunner is potentially the leading candidate, I will go ahead and include the “vs Obama” polling results.

    Paul : 28
    Romney : 27.25
    Bachmann : 25.5
    Perry : 19.33

My ultimate conclusion is this : Ron Paul and Mitt Romney are in a dead heat for the top contender position in the Republican field. Bachmann can not be forgotten and is extremely close to both of the other “frontrunners”. While Perry isn’t in the top three as of now, the fact that he has such a ranking in his first week of running says something. So folks, there are your frontrunners : Paul, Romney, Bachmann, Perry. If any reports contrast these results, I am entirely open to viewing their research and the exact method they used to derive such conclusions.

The sad truth is this blog is full of bo cohorts like oldsalt, cabby, paxson, starla and katie. CW should have banned all of them a long time ago.
Let’s not start this again you two. I don’t think CW wants everyone to leave again on your account, this is sophomoric and reminiscent of something you might see on Huff-Post or Daily Kos. Most of of here come to read CW’s articles and share ideas, there’s no need to name call, no-one here is an obot but it does make one wonder why you both stir the pot? You’re both quite good at the Alinsky tactics which is an obot calling card. There are times one finds it hard to believe one of you has a college degree at all. If you can’t act like adults instead of 4yr olds (mine’s better, no mine’s better, repeated re-posts) perhaps it is you who should be banned, or leave. Just remember almost every blog has their clowns, is it you who are vying for that position? I’m sure it isn’t.

    Hey All,

It was so nice and civil for the last few weeks without “those two” posting and reposting and patting each other on the back.

I have to agree with CQ and DABIGRAGU about Ron Paul.

I believe he is starting to get some traction out here in the “real world”, with no thanks being given the MSM for reporting “fairly” about Paul’s stance on issues.

Whenever I hear a report on Paul, or any other candidate for that matter, that uses the terms “radical”, “extreme” or “right wing” I simply tune out. Very little of our “news” is REALLY news. It’s mainly editorialized reporting “sold” as “news”.

Although I like Dr Paul, I can not comment at this time, that he is the candidate that I will support.

I haven’t researched Perry enough to have an opinion on him (I suspect that he is simply another NWO candidate), but of all of the candidates I HAVE researched, I like Paul first, and then Cain.

Being retired military myself, I REALLY like the link by CQ at 9:33pm.

I can NOT vote for Romney.

In reference to your comment at 1:07am, just give ole FS and Pat a couple of days, and I suspect they will be linking stories vilifying Perry.

    It’s their MO.

  91. The obots are trying desperately to smear Gov. Rick Perry. It is obvious that the obots want Romney to be the nominee because they know they can beat him with the help of the comb-over fraud.

  92. DABIGRAGU | August 18, 2011 at 1:07 am |

How about “Ron Paul enthusiasts”. Civil?

    Interested Bystander | August 18, 2011 at 7:36 am |
Who cares who you support, I suspect you are some kind of Lib or worse independent.

I will support the (R) whoever that is including Romney.

  93. This day of rage appears to be gaining momentum. I have visited their website and it has a lot of tweeting and facebook action. I am quite sure, this is the movement created by Stephen Lerner that GB talked about at length back in March. They are approaching it as defending the vote of the ordinary citizen from the corporate lobbyists. And they are getting responses from the very ignorant poulace that are being sucked into a “false” protest. The postings I have read indicate those that are interested in this protest have no real CLUE and are just looking to make a scene.

I hope this doesn’t get ugly, but they are planning for this to go nationwide. Nothing good can come of this. There were suggestions that gov’t and union officials were involved in the middle eastern riots this year. And that they were coordinated through social media websites.

I can’t help but think somehow the “fast and furious” scandal might be playing a part in this. Perhaps I am reading too much into it, but I guess we all need to be prepared for whatever might break out in the near future.

With all the recent flash mob riots going on in this country, it’s hard not to see that there is definitely something brewing. Just all be aware.

Hopefully they will wear identifying shirts or hats so National Guard snipers can “target” them easier.

  95. This is an interesting part of Orly Taitz action against Hawaii DOH Fuddy and Onaka.

    29. A long time close friend of Obama is a known domestic terrorist William Ayers, leader of the terrorist organization “Weathermen”, which was responsible for some 110 bombings around the country in the early 70s, among them bombings of the Pentagon, Capitol, New York city police headquarters and military barracks.

30 Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dorn were on the run for ten years and needed forged and fraudulently obtained vital records.

    31. In his book Fugitive Days Ayers described his methods of obtaining fraudulent vital records, among them search of the graves of the deceased infants and use of their birth certificate numbers.

    32. On August 4, 1961, same day, as the alleged date of birth of Obama, an infant by name Virginia Sunahara was born at the Wahiana hospital in Honolulu.

Due to health problems she was immediately transferred to the Kapiolani hospital, where she died next day, on August 5, 1961. Hi state archives show her birth and death listed among ones born and one deceased in 1961, but repeated request for her birth certificate yielded a response, that there is no birth certificate on file. While it could be understandable for the Health Department to respond, that the record is not available due to privacy, it is suspicious, that the Health department responded to the petitioners, that it does not exist.

    33. On June 4, 2011 Taitz requested from defendant Fuddy a certified copy of Sunahara’s birth certificate, but Fuddy did not respond.

    34. As of now defendants did not allow examination of the original long form birth certificate for either Obama or Sunahara.

  96. Katie….

The military is one of the few things this country has left that American’s can be proud of. Now, I’m sorry to say but the empty suit who claims to be CinC is trying his damnest to destroying that.

Being from the old school of soldering, I would refuse to be in a foxhole with a gay blade. I find it hard to believe a “soldier of the line” would tolerate that homosexual stuff, but the top brass in Washington and Obama has now forced that upon the military. What else should we expect when we have a CinC with questionable moral character himself! (ie. Donald Young, Larry Sinclair, et al.). At least Larry is honest about his position, Obama isn’t. I admire Larry for honesty. I despise the latter for his dishonesty.

Secondly, as a nation, we have no industry left. Bill Clinton, Daddy Bush, and little Georgie took care of that with NAFTA, CAFTA, North American Trade Union. Our days of making things are over. It all shipped it out to Mexico, China, and India.

We have no small farms left which were the backbone of our bread basket, Coghill and other giants have taken them over. Our hungry factor is now totally dependent upon companies whose purpose in life is pure profit.

We have no small business to amount to any thing left in America. The Mom and Pop corner grocery stores are gone. The small clothing stores are gone. No one can compete with Walmart with all their Chinese imports.

Katie you are right when you say they are trying to destroy our military too. When the strength of our military is gone then ,……. we are gone.

Our military is the last bastion of hope for our country.

  104. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/US-stocks-drop-sharply-on-cbsmtop-3202303667.html?x=0&.v=1

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — U.S. stocks plummeted Thursday, with the benchmark indexes down about 4% or more, on worries about Europe and the global economy.

“Market sentiment continues to deteriorate amid concerns about the euro-zone banking sector,” Marc Chandler, global head of currency strategy at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., wrote in a note.

U.S. economic reports did not help in allaying concerns, as the number of Americans filing new claims for jobless benefits rose last week; consumer prices climbed 0.5% in July; and the Philadelphia Federal Reserve said factory activity in the region fell sharply in August.

  105. No, you would give me the same parroted line I hear 100 times a day, “Thank you for your service”. (CQ)

I have always wanted to go up to a soldier I see locally (I live in a military town) but am a bit shy. I don’t think I’ll do that now. I would never want my children to witness something hurtful and turn them off to their appreciation of the military.

The donation raises legal questions, because while the commentator happens to be an American, allowing him to donate to Paul’s presidential campaign, foreign entities such as RT are prohibited.
