“A former deputy director at the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services — who was appointed by then-Gov. Rod Blagojevich — was sentenced to six months in prison Thursday for steering DCFS funds to companies in which he had a stake and then pocketing much of the money.
Bamani Obadele had become friends with Blagojevich more than 20 years ago after the two met when Obadele was a teen who shined shoes. His appointment to head up the state agency’s external affairs was controversial.
Obadele, 38, a South Side preacher with five children, apologized for his misconduct and sought mercy, pointing out he was now also the caretaker for two sons of a brother who recently died.
U.S. District Judge Charles Kocoras sentenced Obadele to six months in prison followed by an additional six months confined to his home, though he would be free to leave his home for work and a limited number of other reasons. The judge said he felt compelled to send a message that “the law is deserving of respect.” Obadele faced up to almost two years in prison under federal sentencing guidelines. His lawyers sought probation.
Obadele pleaded guilty in October to one count of mail fraud for directing DCFS contractors to buy promotional items — including magnets, yo-yos and tote bags for public functions sponsored by DCFS — from a company he secretly owned. He also admitted steering DCFS vendors into contracts with another organization in which he had a financial interest.”

It looks to me like Walker now has a way of doing some MASS FIRING. Just like Reagan did with the air traffic controllers who thought THEY WERE RULING THE WORLD. The unions should never have been allowed to be certified as representatives of STATE EMPLOYEES. Take a real in depth look around,and you will see the biggest reason why the country is NO LONGER COMPETITIVE with the rest of the world. Since when is a worker who shoves a bolt in a hole and puts a nut on it and tightens it worth $70.00 per hour? I can remember when a hell of a lot of trained accountants, and highly experienced craftsmen,were glad to earn $20.00 per hour,and it wasn’t very long ago either.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker issued an order this morning for the State Patrol to round up any Democratic State Senators they can find and bring them back to the Capitol in Madison.
Fourteen Democratic Senators fled to Rockford, Ill., Thursday. Their whereabouts this morning are not yet known.
Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald (R-Horicon) said this morning he believes Sen. Mark Miller (D-Monona) is home. If State Patrol officers find Miller, he will be arrested and brought back to the Capitol, Fitzgerald said.
Walker only needs one Democratic Senator to be found in the state. That Senator would be taken back to the Capitol and forced to vote on Walker’s budget repair bill, which would revoke the collective bargaining rights of 175,000 public employees in the state.
March 4 will be a big day for this blog. Several people, but one in particular, has voiced strong support for the “patriots on the Supreme Court” and has claimed that they are angry and waiting to pounce.
March 4 will be put up or shut up day for such people. We will find out once and for all if the Supreme Court are PATRIOTS or CORRUPT.

It is meant to look like some sort of grassroots movement, but it isn’t. They have phone banks, union thugs, social media–the works.
Organizing for America, Obama’s campaign arm now under the umbrella of the DNC, has been mobilizing union members and supporters to rally against a proposed Wisconsin budget measure that would strip workers of collective bargaining rights and force them to contribute more for benefits.
Leaders have initiated phone banks and on-the-ground canvassing, and relied on a social media blitz on Facebook and Twitter to build turnout.

Ha, as usual, Mr. Farah is hyperbolically manipulating the emotions of WND readers into clinging to the revenue generating lie, the case it cites, already denied a hearing by the SCOTUS, has a legal chance in hell to be re-heard on the merits. Worse, that such re-hearing could finally force Obama to vacate the Oval Office. Not the least bit true.
In fact, assuming the ‘fact’ of the reported re-hearing is true, all it means is this. The SCOTUS is saying, ‘We were so eager to turn down your completely infirm case involving Obama’s Constitutional eligibility for President; that we failed to issue a separate ruling denying your Motion for Recusal, as required by the Rules.’
It’s a shame so many WND readers, reasonably outraged at the election scam that gave us Obama; fail to recognize they are still being had.
Even assuming any legal case involving the President’s Constitutional eligibility for office could survive judicial scrutiny on all other procedural bases elements required, try to remember these facts. No law in 2008, or any provision of the U.S. Constitution, required Electors to only elect a President who was Constitutionally eligible for the job. I think she’s going off in some direction not addressed in the WND article for her own justification or something. The article didn’t speak to the election mechanisms but to the man himself and the Constitutional matters surrounding him that the plaintiffs insist must be addressed for reasons stated. The article also addressed the very rules of SCOTUS itself re: who must recuse himself and why … particular to this case. It is good nonetheless that these concerns get aired publicly and on the record for posterity and greater clarity no matter the outcome. One’s own emotional response to those bringing the cases and what one feels is missing in understanding is something outside the attempts to bring to the public a history that must not go unheard. There has been a wealth of education in Constitutional matters for a pretty sophomoric public if nothing else. Now, beyond the bureaucratic pecking order of essentials of an election, we can go a bit deeper to the question of purity of qualifications for such a high office that demands such a greater respect than is given to it these days within the banal world of politics.

SCOTUS has had many chances to address the ineligibility issue. While I feel they should, they apparently feel otherwise. They appear to believe they can get away with this, after all, none is running for election. However, their legacy will be of cowardice and history will not forget they failed to defend the Constitution. They are traitors, one and all. I fully expect them to take a pass again. If they find Obamacare’s mandate Constitutional, they may expect several million Patriots convening on the mall in protest.

I won’t believe that it is going anywhere in the courts anymore until it does. I am usually inclined to agree with jbjd on most things, but perhaps with the two justices recused and the lower threshold of 3 to move forward could be a blessing? My thoughts are that SCOTUS is looking at this as a political matter and want the Congress to figure it out. They read the newspapers too and maybe they are as disgusted as the rest of us by Obama’s behavior and will push the envelope… If they allow discovery….it’s all she wrote.

Each candidate must stand on his own merits and that is the basis for my vote. Absolutely, Cabby. If Cain and West didn’t both exhude integrity and smarts and straight talk, a mix of business and military experience, I might not see the appeal. Meanwhile, Fox News apologizes for CPAC footage mix-up
On the heels of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul’s second consecutive victory in the Conservative Political Action Conference’s presidential straw poll, Paul supporters are planning a ‘money bomb’ fundraiser for Monday, which is Washington’s Birthday (also known as Presidents Day).
According to a Facebook page created for the event, the donations from the ‘money bomb’ — an online fundraiser scheduled for a specific time period, usually a day — are to go to Paul’s Liberty PAC, his leadership political action committee. According to the Facebook page, the show of support is intended to “Convince Ron Paul to Run” — presumably for President, though it doesn’t specify a particular office.
The listed organizers of the event are not officially connected to Paul or his PAC. A spokesperson for Paul did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Last week, Paul sent a letter to supporters saying his 2012 decision would depend partly on fundraising for his Liberty PAC, as the Texas Independent previously reported. Paul has two visits to Iowa planned for March, including a three-city tour March 7.
In other Paul-related news, Fox News has apologized for airing 2010 footage from CPAC (when the audience largely booed as Paul was announced as the winner of the straw poll) instead of 2011 footage (when the audience largely cheered) in its CPAC coverage this week. Mediate relayed a statement Wednesday afternoon from Fox News’ Senior Vice President of News Michael Clemente, who said, “We made a mistake with some of the video we aired, and plan on issuing a correction on America’s Newsroom tomorrow morning explaining exactly what happened.”
Fox News did not respond to a request for comment from the Texas Independent Wednesday.
Today, Fox News’ Bill Hemmer, who interviewed Paul in the original segment, delivered the promised correction on the air, as Mediate reported. Hemmer said:
“It was clearly a mistake. We used the wrong videotape. There are similarities in the shot between last year’s event and this year.
…
Ron Paul won both years. However, there were audible boos in 2010 while you heard a lot more cheering this year. It’s an honest mistake. We apologize for the error and we look forward to having Representative Paul back on our show very soon.”

SCOTUS has had many chances to address the ineligibility issue. While I feel they should, they apparently feel otherwise. They appear to believe they can get away with this, after all, none is running for election. However, their legacy will be of cowardice and history will not forget they failed to defend the Constitution. They are traitors, one and all. I fully expect them to take a pass again. If they find Obamacare’s mandate Constitutional, they may expect several million Patriots convening on the mall in protest.

Occam’s Razor tells me that’s the most likely scenario so most likely true.
