House Republicans propose $2.5 Trillion in Spending Cuts, Spending Reduction Act of 2011, GOP promises to slash the federal budget

“Moving aggressively to make good on election promises to slash the federal budget, the House GOP today unveiled an eye-popping plan to eliminate $2.5 trillion in spending over the next 10 years. Gone would be Amtrak subsidies, fat checks to the Legal Services Corporation and National Endowment for the Arts, and some $900 million to run President Obama’s healthcare reform program. [See a gallery of political caricatures.]
What’s more, the “Spending Reduction Act of 2011” proposed by members of the conservative Republican Study Committee, chaired by Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, would reduce current spending for non-defense, non-homeland security and non-veterans programs to 2008 levels, eliminate federal control of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, cut the federal workforce by 15 percent through attrition, and cut some $80 billion by blocking implementation of Obamacare. Some of the proposed reductions will surely draw Democratic attack, such as cutting the Ready to Learn TV Program, repeal of the Davis-Bacon Act, the elimination of the Energy Star Program, and cutting subsidies to the Woodrow Wilson Center. [See editorial cartoons about the GOP.]
Here is the overview provided by the Republican Study Committee:
FY 2011 CR Amendment: Replace the spending levels in the FY 2011 continuing resolution (CR) with non-defense, non-homeland security, non-veterans spending at FY 2008 levels. The legislation will further prohibit any FY 2011 funding from being used to carry out any provision of the Democrat government takeover of health care, or to defend the health care law against any lawsuit challenging any provision of the act. $80 billion savings.
Discretionary Spending Limit, FY 2012-2021: Eliminate automatic increases for inflation from CBO baseline projections for future discretionary appropriations. Further, impose discretionary spending limits through 2021 at 2006 levels on the non-defense portion of the discretionary budget. $2.29 trillion savings over ten years.
Federal Workforce Reforms: Eliminate automatic pay increases for civilian federal workers for five years. Additionally, cut the civilian workforce by a total of 15 percent through attrition. Allow the hiring of only one new worker for every two workers who leave federal employment until the reduction target has been met. (Savings included in above discretionary savings figure).
“Stimulus” Repeal: Eliminate all remaining “stimulus” funding. $45 billion total savings.
Eliminate federal control of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. $30 billion total savings.
Repeal the Medicaid FMAP increase in the “State Bailout” (Senate amendments to S. 1586). $16.1 billion total savings.
More than 100 specific program eliminations and spending reductions listed below: $330 billion savings over ten years (included in above discretionary savings figure).”

Not really. Dr. Rhodes withdrew her civil lawsuit, fired Dr. Orly, and followed her deployment orders. Lakin publically disobeyed orders, resulting in his being found guilty under the UCMJ.

Actually the $20,000 was due to courtroom behaviour and her response to his Order to Show Cause as to why she shouldn’t be sanctioned for $10,000.

Abercrombie said on Tuesday that an investigation had unearthed papers proving Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961.

my opinion has always been that every country that has an intelligence agency has everything on Obama-actually everyone. They will act when it is in their own vested interest to do so, and/or they consider do you want to be America’s friend or risk ostracization-most of the World remembers when our soldiers came to assist them in WW1, WW2.

Do you miss the “quiet” times we could have discussing serious, thoughtful issues over a broad range of topics without the disruptive environment that exists now? I certainly do – big time! Do you think we could embark on a subject right now? Let’s try. Here goes!
While in a contemplative mood this morning, my mind wandered off into “what ifs”, which can lead to just about anywhere if left unchecked. 🙂 In reflecting upon your thought-provoking posts re. the PTB’s and how it matters supremely what THEY think and feel, I began to probe into the future as to the wide range of investigations which the various Republican -controlled House committees are going to conduct. It sounds very promising, although realistically there is not a great deal of time and a host of criminal? matters to investigate.
Here’s a thought which came to me. First of all, I agree wholeheartedly with you with respect to the apparent total refusal by anyone in power to pursue the eligibility issue. Believe me, THEY KNOW and they are NOT going to touch it with a ten-foot pole, for whatever reason(s) we are not sure of. This is becoming more and more evident as time passes. I know you agree with that assessment.
Now, here is a “what if”!! Lately I’ve read more about Rep. Darrell Issa and feel that he may be loyal to his word and to the American people, i.e., he is going to vigorously pursue the irregularities and possible crimes, starting with the DOJ. WHAT IF they encounter so much criminality that points directly to Obama as they begin taking the lids off the cans of worms – we know there are multitudes of misdeeds, crimes, treasonous acts – that they, the committee investigators , will get cold feet and catch the same “disease” that Congress has had concerning the eligibility issues?
In other words, if it is uprisings, and/or untold international ramifications that are feared if O was to be proved to be a usurper/fraud, then to me it could be entirely possible the same wet feet could exist if it were proved that he is the terrible criminal that we all expect. I hope and pray that this same attitude will not “chill” or inhibit full probes into the many areas in which O has committed egregious crimes, but we don’t know for sure.
That is why, imo, we must monitor these investigations on a daily basis once they begin. Our roughest and most challenging days are probably just ahead of us. At the first whiff of congressional weakness we should be ready to strongly communicate with the committee chairmen and hold their feet to the fire, if possible.
I feel that the upcoming days may be the watershed. If this opportunity goes “south”, well, all that is left is to stop him in 2012. The big question is – Will he have done so much damage by then that there won’t be much left to save? Sigh.

I get SO TIRED of seeing just cut and paste gibberish – most of it from widely known and discredited websites.
We do not even have to agree – with each other – or us together with anybody else. We just have to be rational, civil, and thoughtful.
I also wonder at the observation that this blog has been hijacked. I have stated quite pointedly that it has been infiltrated – meaning overrun with one or more persons pursuing an Alinsky-type disinformation campaign. But I have yet to be so bold to suggest that the actual original CW person has been replaced or hijacked.
Yet, statements like this are very odd. “CW” stated on the previous thread in response to repeated Patriot criticisms of the level of disarray here: “Walk a mile in my shoes”. Whanh? What’s so hard? This problem could be easily, quickly, definitely, and finally resolved in a heartbeat.
In the spirit of true American freedom of speech, I would never exclude somebody for the simple issue of disagreeing. But the level of insult, demonstrated incompetence, and flat out dish0nesty has reached proportions that make an exclusion decision EASY!

That’s it precisely! I personally don’t feel that there has been a hijacking, but that it is possibly more of a “fatal attraction” situation with the administrative duties having been turned over. If I had the intestinal fortitude (guts) I would activate the blog I’ve already had set up. But it does take time and effort, which are a little scarce these days. Maybe sometime….
You are so right – It has nothing to do with agreeing with opinions or theories. All we want is RESPECT. I remember that one time CW admonished us that we didn’t have to like each other. Well, in a strong sense that is true; however, there must be respect, goodwill and basic kindness. Otherwise, the ill will that is created is very injurious to the free flow of ideas, etc. When you left before, I missed you terribly, because you have such a good mind and bring rational thought to the table. As long as you stay, I plan to hang around.

I have known CW for just over THREE YEARS and I can assure you that he is on top of everything that goes on in this blog he OWNS and MAINTAINS by himself, there is no one else doing this job for CW. CW is a wonderful man that allows everyone their right to Freedom of Speech and does not get involved in back and forth among bloggers, it is simply an issue that does not require him to step in bc he is a WRITER, not your PARENTS. If you can’t get along, skip the posts of the person you disagree with and try to get along regardless of your opinion of the person posting. If CW were to censor anyone that would go against everything he has been fighting for over THREE YEARS NOW. I am not trying to start drama, but I am defending CW and his right to not get involved in common issues that take place on many blogs. We are adults here and do not ask/expect/demand CW to block someone or stop someone from posting information that they feel is important. We, after all, don’t need CERTIFIED (properly signed and sealed) as we are not going to use it to obtain a passport, get married, register for school, apply for security clearance, join the military, etc with it. We ONLY NEED TO VERIFY THE EXISTENCE AND READ INDEED WHAT IT SAYS.
Hawaii Statute 338 allows for that.
SO WHAT IS THE BIG FN DEAL ABOUT SOMEONE ON OUR SIDE GOING AFTER THIS DISCOVERY IN THIS SIMPLE STRAIGHT FORWARD LEGAL MANNER?
