Glenn Beck, you are getting warm. Beck, on his new site, TheBlaze.com, on September 9, 2010, has an article titled “Proposal: Presidential Candidates Submit Handwritten Copy of Constitution”. I have a better idea, let’s have the presidential candidates actually adhere to the US Constitution.

“What if the president had to hand-write a copy of the Constitution before he took office?
That’s the question Dr. David Corbin and Dr. Matthew Parks of The King’s College-New York City are asking. Corbin is an associate professor of politics, while Parks is the assistant provost.
According to them, the presidential oath “to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States” is one that should be taken very seriously. But “you can’t do this if you don’t know the Constitution or aren’t willing to submit to it,” they say.
So, in a blog post on the First Things website, Corbin and Parks reveal a proposal that “each 2012 presidential candidate … adopt the ‘Constitution Pledge,’ promising to present a hand-written copy of the Constitution to the Chief Justice as he rises to take the oath of office.”
“We’re constantly looking for reminders of just what it is that makes America exceptional,” Corbin told The Blaze. “And our constitution is one of those things.””

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – Springfield Pastor Bob Old said his decision to burn the Islamic holy book on September 11 has nothing to do with the agenda of the pastor in Florida or the controversy surrounding the mosque in New York.
He has his own reasons behind the demonstrations and no intentions of backing down.
“My plans for Saturday are to take a copy of the Quran and burn it,” said Old.
He’s planning to go forward with the demonstration on 9/11 to be able to make his point and have it heard.
“To the Muslim church I would say the reason I am doing on Saturday because I believe they worship a false god. They have a false text, a false prophet and a false scripture,” said Old.
He said the other two reasons are to teach Americans about their constitutional rights and to make them better Christians.

What amazes me is that when Chris Strunk hand delivered my sworn affidavit to the court in Washington D.C., the Clerk on scanned 2 of the 5 paged Affidavit.
When Chris received my original, he then added it, thus the court has it in its entirity.
It doesn’t matter what our Constitution says if it is not followed, and the mandates are ignored.
Our Constitution says: No Person Except a Natural Born Citizen shall be eligible to be president. The Constitution also says: No Person shall become president who doesn’t qualify for the position. The three requirements to be eligible are:
1. Person must be a natural born American citizen.
2. Person must be 35 years old.
3. Person must have lived 14 years in the country.
Obama fails to qualify because he was born a British citizen, according to his own statements. He recognizes his British/Kenyan father as Obama Sr. In doing so he admits he doesn’t qualify to be president of the USA. He does not follow the Constitution,and does not care what the law says. Obama hides the truth about his real identity, lies to who ever will listen that he was born in America, and that is what makes him a natural born citizen. Well that is just a lie, but as long as nobody enforces the law it doesn’t matter.
What good is a Constitution if it is not regarded as law, and it is not enforced? The Constitution is for the people’s protection from a runaway government, and other enemies, foreign and domestic.
The executive branch of our government is supposed to enforce the law, and Constitutional mandates, but currently is committing felonies against the American people. Congress and the Judicial branch are guilty as well.

Thank God our counry is chock full of investigative “journOlists” who have pieced together the fraud that Obama put forward to our once proud nation. Duncan Philp said he will protest the location of a proposed Islamic Center near Ground Zero in New York City. He also will protest President Barack Obama’s support for the location.

There were interviews made at the FAA’s New York center the night of 9/11 and those tapes were destroyed. The CIA tapes of the interrogations were destroyed. The story of 9/11 itself, to put it mildly, was distorted and was completely different from the way things happened”

•A 29-year CIA veteran, former National Intelligence Officer (NIO) and former Director of the CIA’s Office of Regional and Political Analysis (William Bill Christison) said “I now think there is persuasive evidence that the events of September did not unfold as the Bush administration and the 9/11 Commission would have us believe (and see this)
•A number of intelligence officials, including a CIA Operations Officer who co-chaired a CIA multi-agency task force coordinating intelligence efforts among many intelligence and law enforcement agencies (Lynne Larkin) sent a joint letter to Congress expressing their concerns about “serious shortcomings,” “omissions,” and “major flaws” in the 9/11 Commission Report and offering their services for a new investigation (they were ignored)
•A decorated 20-year CIA veteran, who Pulitzer-Prize winning investigative reporter Seymour Hersh called “perhaps the best on-the-ground field officer in the Middle East”, and whose astounding career formed the script for the Academy Award winning motion picture Syriana (Robert Baer) said that “the evidence points at” 9/11 having had aspects of being an inside job
•The Division Chief of the CIA’s Office of Soviet Affairs, who served as Senior Analyst from 1966 – 1990. He also served as Professor of International Security at the National War College from 1986 – 2004 (Melvin Goodman) said “The final [9/11 Commission] report is ultimately a coverup”
If even our country’s top intelligence officers don’t buy the official story, why do you?

What bothers me is not the pastor’s book burning which is not in the best taste. What bothers me is that the entire world is capitulating to Muslim intimidation. I must ask. Who is running the world, today? Muslims or the countries they are attempting to Islamize.
Since when in the name–at best–of protecting political correctness—BEING SENSITIVE TO NOT OFFEND MUSLIMS–do we give into bullies, threats, and intimidators? Every time we do so, we trade our sovereignty for their increased intimidation. One day we will be their slaves. Are we so weak and fearful that we can no longer stare bullies in the face and back them down? Do we have to live in fear of every thing we say and do that might offend the Muslims and therefore we no longer have freedom of expression while the Muslims dictate what we can say, do, dress, eat, read, think, write or cartoon?
If America and the rest of the Western countries don’t start backing these hostile, ignorant people down, there won’t be a free world left on the planet. Instead of every one coming forward and pleading with Terry Jones to refrain from burning the Koran, they should have said this:
“We don’t agree or support Pastor Jone’s plan to burn the Quran on 9/11/2010. Nevertheless in America, it is his right to do so. If one American is harmed in any way, shape or form by some irate Muslim any where on this planet in retaliation of Pastor Jone’s action, we will find, arrest, try, and find you guilty and punish you for the rest of your life. It makes no difference if it is only one of your or ten thousand. We are no longer TOLERANT OF YOUR INTOLERANCE.”
From now on my battle cry is: “Let’s offend the Muslims. Let’s rock the boat.”

I disagree. Tolerance is a double edged sword, and it most certainly is never one sided, least it is not tolorance.
Personally, I would never participate in such an event. But let’s look at.
Japan certainly has property rights whereby they could build next to sunken ship USS Arizonia, placing the rising sun flag to over shawdow it, but they did not, why? It would be distastefull and raise anger amoungst Americans that lost their lives there, their family members as well as those that survived.
Germany also has property rights in the U.S., and could also legally build a large over-shadowing tower “call it a historic museum” and hang the swastika flag near our American WWII vets cementary, but they don’t, why? It is again highly disrepectfull.

Yes, Free Speech, it is a good thing that this information is coming out now. It is up-to-date (not something that only happened several thousand years ago) and the American people cannot be warned enough of the threat which spreading Islam is to America. Islam is on the march even as we write. The U.S. is the “great Satan” and must be destroyed, in their opinion.

I do know how society in the US manipulates our youth with violent tv and virtual combat readiness through video games such as “CAll of Duty.” If you have not seen this violent simulated video game, you should check it out. Prairie, Muslim children are innocents just like all children, but they are being USED by wicked adults unfortunately. Therefore, if a child is armed with a bomb and is sent into a group of people, that child is a danger and has become part of the enemy. To everyone else – like you, I believed my government was telling me the truth about what happened and who was responsible for 9/11. I read the Commission Report and even bought several copies and gave them as Christmas presents. I read the book about Flight 93 and kept up with Congress and their actions following this most tragic of days.
However, last year, for the first time, I bothered myself to watch the Architects & Engineers 911 Press event and listened carefully to their findings. I watched these videos over and over again to make sure I didn’t miss anything. My mind cracked open a wee bit then to the possibility that their factual and scientific evidence may in fact be correct.
I then troubled myself to do more digging and learning because IF my government was indeed responsible in anyway for this tragedy I wanted to know the truth. Period. It did not then or now matter to me one iota as to whether it was Bush or Clinton or whomever was responsible for covering up the truth.
As I began my personal research journey documents were released that showed FDR’s knowledge of the attack on Pearl Harbor. This attack is what brought my father and all of his brothers plus my mother’s brothers to WWII. To learn that this President knew about the imminent attack on our homeland and did nothing to stop it OR to prepare our men and women in military to fight the attack horrified me.
I then learned the factual story behind the US Liberty and how 34 of our men were murdered by Israeli commandos. Our government gave orders to a ship captain who heard the mayday call to not intervene. It was by the grace of God that a Russian ship sailed to her rescue.
After learning the startling truth as to how my government had perpetrated said acts on our men and women in military, I now believe my government could do anything. I won’t mention the Gulf of Tonkin that got us into the Vietnam War.
So, bottom line, after learning the appalling truth about the lengths of which my government commited these horrendous acts against her own people for the sole purpose of going to war, I knew my government would have been more than capable to commit 911.
The pollyanna world I once lived in died. My blinders are off and my heart grieves for these honorable men and women who have been led to fight these wars to make the war profiteers accounts fatter.
You may choose to rationalize your acceptance of burning the Quran anyway you wish. I find the act immoral and thoroughly unChristian.
Hate has no place in the pure heart of truth. So why on earth would you welcome it into your souls?

Do you think there is some element of “degree of compliance”? After all, some of this is quite arbitrary.
Do you think PTBs might think that being “native born” or having at least one parent a citizen is “close enough”?
Do you think is is possible to rationalize the residency requirement? Certainly less than 5 or 10 years would seem problematic, but what about 12 or 13? Is that “close enough”?
My point, as usual, is that we have a hard time working effectively against an “enemy” – in this case the PTBs – unless we can get inside their heads and anticipate their thinking.

“Hate” – hmmm, that is certainly a loaded word. Hard to have an intelligent conversation when that word is anywhere nearby.
I think we all agree that HATE = “random anger, intolerance, bigotry, misplaced fear, etc.” has no place in a civilized society. However, it seems like HATE = “dislike of an existential enemy” is important to survival.
In that regard, yes, I hate Islam. I do not hate a peaceful religion. What I hate is a total system of culture, politics, laws, and religion, that is not only cross wise to everything America is about, but BY THEIR OWN ADMISSION at “total war” with Western Civilization.
Burning Koran’s is not a huge deal one way or another. If a bunch of barbarians burnt say Bibles, or The Constitution, etc. leftist Americans would say, fine, you have a right to do that. Rightist Americans would largely complain and ask that it not be done. And perhaps even seek to pass laws against it. But in no case would it start a “world war”.
On the other hand Muslim Extremists will go nuts. Perhaps that is a good thing. But even more importantly it might help smoke out the so-called Moderate Muslims. If any of them go nuts, then we will know for sure that that they were not really “moderate”.
Then, there is your outrageous harangue on 9/11 – that reads an awful lot like it is filled with HATE (in the first form) against what? Bush regime? Conservatives? Neocons? Zionists? But never the less HATE. And it has nothing to do with anything. Koran burning is not BECAUSE of 9/11 as an isolated event. It is against ISLAM JIHAD, across time and across space. 9/11 is a convenient time. That is all. Everybody knows – regardless of a lot of fuzzy details that you correctly point out – that Muslims had a disproportionate hand in 9/11. Even THEY think so – among other things – world wide they cheered when it happened – they cheer when it is brought up even to this day – and they are purposefully building a Victory Mosque right next door.
Finally, you have to consider the PTBs. Their actions are beyond despicable. During WWII what do you think the PTB response would have been (or the military’s response) if we had declared a “pizz on the Swastika day”? The Islam enemy does not have sophisticated weaponry. Their major weapon is terror, fear, and intimidation. Signaling to the enemy that they can intimidate us to not do things that are unfriendly or anti-Muslim — what kind of “message” does THAT send? Interpol Secretary-General Ronald Noble said today he had warned member states: “If the proposed Koran burning … goes ahead as planned, there is a strong likelihood that violent attacks on innocent people would follow.
“Although there are currently no specific details as to what forms of terror attacks would follow, what is clear is – if the Koran burning goes ahead as planned – there will be tragic consequences,” he said.
A small church group in Florida is planning to mark the September 11 anniversary of the 2001 attacks on New York and Washington by burning copies of Islam’s holy book.
The threat has received worldwide condemnation and provoked warnings from the group’s own US Government and experts around the world that the insult to Islam could provoke bloodshed.
Interpol has forwarded its 188 member states a warning from Pakistan’s interior minister, Rehman Malik, of likely reprisals, and said it had expressed its own concern while asking police forces to pool information.

Do you think there is some element of “degree of compliance”? After all, some of this is quite arbitrary.
Do you think PTBs might think that being “native born” or having at least one parent a citizen is “close enough”?
Do you think is is possible to rationalize the residency requirement? Certainly less than 5 or 10 years would seem problematic, but what about 12 or 13? Is that “close enough”?

I hear what you are saying, and I am not saying that dealing with these PTB’s may not be useful and necessary. I said that we may need to use some of them in the short run in the same manner that one would use a pencil or a garden rake. However, if they are a PTB that wants to merely continue with the status quo of dismantling our Republic piece by piece then they really aren’t much use to us in the long run. The US Gov has a long history of playing both ends against each other. This is not new news. I generally abhor it. Sometimes it is necessary. How to control this and “police” it is a big open question. Almost always such things have to go on in secrecy. So even if the constitution were followed religiously and We The People and The States were properly sovereign – this is a very difficult problem.

I ultimately agree with your premise, however this is not Saudi Arabia. This is the United States of America. We fly with a different set of standards. While I am opposed to the mosque being built at Ground Zero, we have freedom of religion in our country.
I mostly see the Ground Zero mosque as being a local zoning issue. I also agree with the protestors that are pleading with them not to build it. In the long run, if the builders of the mosque want to build it, it will be built, and they may face daily protests for the life that it exists there. That is our country.
Now we do have anti-terrorism laws that have to do with making it illegal to transfer money from certain foreign countries and nefarious characters. That is the proper route to take.
But it won’t be stopped because of any new law that will be written.

These seem to be popular sentiments at the moment. Let me slightly agree but bend the sentiment a little.
I just don’t care. It is a non-event, and a tempest in a teapot. So I will not decide and I will not take a stand. It is swatting at mesquitos. No more or less important than any particular flag waving, bra burning, or military decoration chucking, I remember from my youth. It is just frustrated people acting out.
Maybe I would do the same thing and maybe I wouldn’t. But it doesn’t matter. People are gonna do whatever they want. It’s not a lynching for chrisake – it just a little demonstration with a few people.
If ANYTHING happens it will not be BECAUSE of this demonstration. It is a total red herring. If Muslims want to be the barbarians they are on 9/11 they will find some excuse to do it one way or another. There any number of other things they could just as easily use as an excuse. Instead, I financed a new truck, accepted new credit cards, ran up my debt, and locked myself into permanent employement, with the aspiration of completing my final year, a distant dream.
I met my lovely wife, amd married, further puting aside my dreams of finishing college, with my beloved children to follow and support.
It was not until my employer offered me a means to finish college that I persued my final ambition. DuPont, to be exact.
It was not easy, nor did I expect it to be. Working full time, growing through the ranks, attending college to finish, rasing a family at the same time, left little risidual for anything, but sleep.
However, and not withstanding, I made it through the wakes, challenges, barriers and hurdles.
I have nothing but an anew respect for those that accomplish their goals. It can be done. I am proof of that.

Understand, I nor others who take the politically incorrect view, are not your foe. No. We simply are not willing to be played anymore. We’ve lost too many mathmeticians, accountants, engineers, hair dressers, artists, scientists, football players, to wars we never had any business engaging in in the first place. We don’t want to forfeit the next Einstein to war. Who knows he/she may have been the one to cure cancer. Islam has already clearly stated that they want to have an Islamic world and that we are the Great Satan. Somehow, your research is missing this important part, imho.
The other thing I would like to point out is the meaning of “love”. Many years ago I heard Dr. Fred Schwartz, a great student of international communism, who left a thriving medical practice in Australia to come to the U.S. in the 1960’s for the sole purpose of exposing the dangers of communism to Americans. He told a true story, something like this:

You have to at least get your information right so you can then make an informed decision as to what to do next.
I don’t think there is any credible doubt about what Iran is up to. Debating that is counter-productive, at best, but I can think of worse words. The big question is what to do about it. That is hard enough without throwing sand in the gears.

What do you think a soldier does for a living. Play jokes on the perceived enemy, and he in turn plays jokes on our soldiers. What do you think the Army,and Marines are for? They are TRAINED to be in harms way. That is what they do best. It seems as though everybody is so damned AFRAID that our Army is going to be put in harms way. POLITICS, RELIGION AND THE MILITARY, A RECIPE FOR DISASTER

A dozen American soldiers are under arrest, five for murder, in crimes that we may never know the full extent of. The accusations, killing for sport, collecting fingers as trophies, is “meat” for the media. It will sell papers, it will bring TV viewers and, combined with the threatened Koran burning and the “hatefest” over the Manhattan Islamic Center, everything imaginable is being done to make certain that terrorism is alive and well and aimed at the United States.
The Koran burning is cancelled but we can’t undo the murders, not this set, not the last nor the decade long nightmare beginning, not with 9/11 but the election of George W. Bush, or more honestly, Dick Cheney.
Today’s killers, accused killers, alleged killers, are they serial killers, criminal psychopaths, or “boys out for a good time and things got a bit out of hand?” Do we blame them or the America’s failed attempt to build a permanent wartime standing army, replacing traditions with cheap politics and “revival tent” religion?
A normal argument that “liberals” make is that it wasn’t them but their environment that was responsible. That’s just an excuse and we all know it. We also know that this isn’t the first time this has happened. The stories, all verified, of kidnapping and rape as with Dr. Aafia or dragging detainees behind vehicles, torturing them with power tools or flying them to the ends of the earth, Egypt, Bulgaria, Poland, “one way trips” that no “detainee” has ever returned from or has ever survived, are no different than these new crimes.
We also can no longer ignore the fact that, thus far, over 75% of our “terrorist detainees” are the wrong people, simply “mistaken identity.” The remaining 25% are waiting for court dates for release. Estimates that as low as 5% of those captured, detained, really kidnapped, during the Bush administration were ever involved in anything.
These are the facts, not published but real, the results of court records open to every American.
When Attorney General Alberto Gonzales issued opinions that kidnapping, torture and indefinite detention of anyone, American citizen or not was, in his opinion “legal” he knew where this would go.
Were Nuremberg type trials to begin today, they could go on for years, the defendants filling the dock making up a “who’s who” of America’s political, economic, religious and media elite. Oh, and more than a few from our military would be there too. It would almost be as though we had “flushed” the Pentagon. At one point, we could claim that, even where there were parallels between the “War on Terror” and Hitler’s “Blitzkreig” and “Final Solution,” we could always claim our scale was so much smaller.
We aren’t so certain of even that anymore, how could we be when nothing can be trusted, nothing from any source under control by the corporations that tell us what they want us to believe. How many secret prisons is America running? Where are they? How many have been held there for how long? How many have been killed?
The people of Nazi Germany, when asked these same questions didn’t know.
How many are we killing each day in Afghanistan? Hitler sent special military groups, a Nazi “Special Forces” into the Ukraine and Belarus, to wipe out the local population. Are our Predator unmanned aircraft doing the same thing, randomly wiping out Afghanistan and sections of Pakistan, village by village? Much of the world thinks so and nobody has been able to prove them wrong.
Five or ten years from now, how many countries will be exhuming mass graves, sites of victims of America’s psychopaths?
There is no difference between these five recently arrested and the Special Forces squads doing exactly the same thing. The only difference is using known unreliable intelligence, let me correct that, known “gossip” as a basis for executing civilians or doing it for entertainment.
What we have seen is that, inside our military, the pride of our nation, where our sons and daughters risk their lives in what they have been told is honorable service of mankind, we are harboring criminal psychopaths who murder the innocent at the orders of the Pentagon’s “grocery clerks.” From the 1979 film by Francis Ford Coppola, Apocalypse Now:

I am supposed to say these men are not guilty. I don’t believe it for an instant, nobody does. They are only doing what they were taught. Murder and hate became “policy” for the military when Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, an ignorant extremist bigot, was chosen by President Bush to head our armed forces.
He and Vice President Dick Cheney, retreads from the disastrous Nixon years, petty political functionaries, saw the opportunity to recreate the military as a political and religious organization modeled on Himmler’s infamous SS. It isn’t just forcing religious instruction on the troops or the selective screening at the service academies with special preference given to Evangelical, read “Christian Zionist” applicants, giving us the “dumbed down” officer corps that has overseen the failures in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Will the last real warrior resigning in disgust please turn out the lights.
It wasn’t just in the training, constant talk about “the clash of civilization,” Christianity versus Islam. The normal “pep talks” about military tradition were replaced by political vitriolic, partisanship and playing on racial and ethnic fears, class envy and cheap propaganda. The Nazi’s never tried anything like this, the educational level of their military was much higher than that of typical American recruits.
Their professional officer corps, taken from the Junker class, sons of the noble houses, were replaced by political hacks from the Nazi party. Some, like Erwin Rommel, were great commanders. Others..
Those more like the neo-con underclass that, in Iraq and Afghanistan, has overseen the torture and rendition programs and political buffoonery and continual prayer sessions, products of the service academies and ROTC programs, were killed by their own men.
The problem isn’t just the training or the wars or PTSD or “bad recruits” or even incompetent leadership. When General George C. Marshall, Army Chief of Staff assessed the officer corps in 1941, just after the Pearl Harbor attack, he was shocked. Over 10,000 officers in what was a relatively small military force were removed as unfit for command.
President George W. Bush went the other direction entirely. Our first Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was General Omar Bradley, possibly America’s finest military leader. On October 1, 2001, while the rubble of the World Trade Center was till smouldering after 9/11, Bush appointed General Richard B. Myers, a “neo-con” dandy, tasked with building a force better suited for a 3rd world dictatorship than a modern democracy. Myers turned to religious extremists, political hacks and any officer willing to trade honor for a career.
This is how America conquered Iraq, won a war, accomplished a mission and destroyed itself at the same time. It was always Cheney and Rumsfeld, it had been for years, in one administration after another. Myers was just “small potatoes,” a small man for a small job working for grocery clerks, collecting a bill.
Bush friend and ally, Saddam Hussein paid with his life. Was Osama bin Laden a Bush friend and ally also? History says yes.
When it came time for Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld to explain to the 9/11 Commission why the United States Air Force was on a “stand down” under his personal command on 9/11, it was General Myers holding his hand. Bad as these moments were, humiliating or worse, they may have been the high point of General Myers career.
Four years later, we had been beaten in two wars by forces one tenth our number, had worn our military down to a shadow of our most basic security requirements but one thing for sure, they would all vote Republican. It became a military of bloated waistlines, berets, dickeys, and medals for any and all. The American military became the most “thanked” and “congratulated” force in history.
With all the medals and fancy uniforms and 6000 calorie a day meals, or so the Pentagon loves telling journalists, something seemed to be very wrong.
Volunteers from the “all volunteer army” began “unvolunteering” in droves with 400,000, nearly a third of America’s entire military pool, active duty, reserve and National Guard, filing for service connected disability from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The majority submitted documentation, medical findings, indicating severe lifelong disabilities. The majority of filings support the fact that soldiers leaving the military after repeated deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq will never be able to work, support a family or, in many cases, manage their own affairs.
25% of those who remain in the military are on anti-psychotic medications with thousands of those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, a medical problem that precludes, not just combat deployment but any active duty.
Battalions of “disinformation” specialists spewed press releases by the dozen while military broadcasting parroted the neo-con and extremist Christian right, read “extremist-white supremist” Christian Zionist right message 24 hours a day to any member of the armed forces unfortunate to have access to a television. You couldn’t watch a rerun of Gomer Pyle without the inane blithering of Vice President Cheney, real leader of “Bush America,” another of a long list of American military experts without, not only one second of combat experience, but in Cheney’s case, as with so many, not a minute in uniform of any kind.
Yesterday, America was panicked because two minor religious leaders have publicly planned to desecrate a Koran. Similar leaders had been burning American flags at the funerals of soldiers fallen in battle. Were Bush still in office, these two manics would be having lunch at the White House.
Secretary Rumsfeld would have named them honorary military chaplains.
Today, five Americans are under arrest as serial killers in uniform. They and their friends and who knows how many others have been hunting the people of Afghanistan for sport, killing them like animals and taking trophies, or so the representatives of the military justice system allege.
Anyone paying attention for the past decade should know. All these five Americans, five or a hundred and five or a thousand and five have done is exactly what they were told to do. If you can torture, you can kill. If you can kidnap, you can kill. If rape is “interrogation” can murder be wrong?
Who do we blame? We blame the Commander in Chief. He knew what he had inherited, a sick and dysfunctional institution of bottom-feeders, fanatics and fools, morally bankrupt cowards and bullies hiding behind a uniform and a bible.
We all knew it, every one of us.
Last Spring, a group of young pastors were arrested in Dearborn, Michigan for passing out Christian literature on a public sidewalk in front of a Muslim festival. Now police have done the same to youth pastors on a public sidewalk in Wichita, Kasas.

Old Salt, Not too long ago I was on a flight and next to me was an Army soldier returning from Iraq. He had spents months in Germany recuperating from major wounds he suffered from an IED. We talked a while and he said the one thing he had to say about Iraq, was how dark it was and how godless. He had never seen anything like it. Was glad to be going home to his wife and 3 kids. As we were getting off the plane, the lady behind us said to him, “Well we’ll just pray you don’t have to go back there.”
He turned and said,” Mam, I will go back in a heartbeat, when they tell me to, to finish what we are doing there.” I was really impressed with this man, and he is a hero to me.

The fact that people like Dick Cheney and Bill Krystol lean toward Neocon is annoying but probably not very important.
Recognizing an enemy BEFORE they become powerful enough to hurt you very bad is important.

Equal under the law is important.
Non-corrupt law is important.
Start categorizing things that way. A lot of black and white will start emerging from the gray.

He made the most of his experience and did well remaining stateside during the war. However, when he received orders to report to the Pacific Theatre he was on a train when the war was declared over. Thrilled as a young man could be, he witnessed the returning military celebrating by beating the hell out of black men who died.
I have ALL of his letters. He witnessed a whole bunch of nefarious and underhanded issues stateside. Understand, I am not a military neophyte nor am I a pansy.
If our children are sent to war it is to protect our national and/or domestic interests. Again, as I stated above, our troops have been abused in the extremen and there is a reason for that. Think about it.

Ahmanutjob and the Grandpoohbah Khomenei are members of the extreme sect that believes in the idea that the 12th Imam’s return is imminent. Ahmanutjob has been preparing the way by building roads that lead from the well where the boy fell in, so that he can return in triumph. It is Shia belief that the 12th imam cannot return until there is the Islamic version of Armageddon. To prepare for this Armageddon, Ahmanutjob has been moving rapidly towards the deployment of nuclear reactors and building a nuclear bomb. To Ahmanutjob Israel is the catalyst or at least that is what he is telling the world.
Now, there are other Middle-Eastern countries that are not so thrilled about the idea of Iran having a nuclear bomb. These include Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Jordan. All of these countries are friendly with the USA. Since we do not know what goes on behind the scenes I am betting that they have put pressure on the USA to circumvent Iran arming itself. This has nothing to do with Israel, but I bet that the Saudis etc will turn a blind eye if Israel decides to act and take out the nuclear reactor. It is in their interests to stop Iran becoming dominant.

If I were President of this beautiful United States of America, what would I do to resolve the Israeli/Palestinian conflict? Wow! Now that’s a loaded question!
First, understand I’m a woman who lacks patience for men’s games. I find them to be a complete bore and to be totally candid, foolish. I have two dogs who like to think they are in charge – one a male Lab and the other a female mutt – when I assert my power they obey b/c I reward good behavior. Therefore, they have learned to obey me and they will be treated with positive reinforcement. This is also known as Pavlov’s Theory and it works.
Thus, if I were President the very first thing I would do is assert the power the voters of America have given me. America is a quilt made up of many different factions, therefore, my election would be based on unity NOT division.
I’d run on the platform that I’d force the two bully’s of Israel and Palestine to the table. My message would be abundantly clear to all who listen that America has had enough of the crappola in this region and if you elect me I will resolve it. Period.
Living in a complete fantasy world, after winning the majority vote, I’d have my advisors arrange the necessary meeting for me to meet w/both leaders individually. I’d make it abundantly clear to both Parties that neither would receive the first copper penny from the US until the two agreed to peace in the region. Period.
I’d then take these two bullies and lock them in a room w/their favorite beverage and all of the comfort of home and tell them, you are now a prisoner of the US. The only way you two will be freed is by agreeing to a peace agreement mutually beneficial to both of you. The room would be wired with cameras and audio so the whole world could see for themselves the real issues preventing them from not or for reaching a said peace agreement.
Following such an exercise, if a peace agreement is reached then I’d send Xe pros home with both of these men who would shadow them while putting into place the agreement. These Xe men/women would not come home until their mission was finished in completion. They too would be wired w/audio and camera sending a live stream of said negotiations and implementation to the entire world body.
If they could not agree to a peace agreement, then I’d let them loose to continue to create havoc in their part of the world BUT I’d rescind Israeli’s dual citizenship status that currently is the only country who serves in our government AND I’d end all funding AND I’d put forward a resolution to the UN Security Council severing the US ties.
How’s that for an answer?

I have plenty of disagreements with people here. I do try my best to comprehend where the other person is coming from and concede points where I am wrong. First, none of us know the deals reached or not. I have never seen the first video or heard the first audio of such negotiations, but again, y’all continue to trust the government. Second, transparency is the key. The last thing politico’s want is to be held accountable. Therefore, by video and/or audio taping them tells the world this is what we agree or not agree too. Why is this a bad thing?
Third, the agreement for Israel to take Palestine as their land was betrayed by Israel from the beginning. Read her history. It’s all out there for anyone to read and learn. Ten years ago Arafat may have reached an agreement BUT when Britian and America agreed to give this land to Israel, it is this agreement that should have been honored. Not one 30 friggin years later!
The history of agreements is documented. Who does one believe? Well, based on the history, it’s Israel who has continued to break the agreements. Take a look at the original map and compare it today’s reality…that tells you everything you need to know about who is continually breaking the agreements. And today, Palestinians are held on the strip as prisoners. Not the other way around.
If peace can be realized and we the people hold the parties accountable then wouldn’t this bring peace to America? Hello?

Paxson, read the original agreement and bother yourself to read the history of Palestine before the Queen and the Pres of the US gave the Palestinian land to the Likud Party.
You see, if you read the history before the Likud Party took control of the land, you’ll learn, much to your chagrin, that the Palestinians, Jews and Christians lived peacefully together. Sure they had their challenges as a colony under the Queen but for the most part it was never among ethnic lines.
This all changed when the Likud Party assumed control. Read the first agreement and then contrast that with a map of today. You will quickly learn from this simple visual that Israel defied the original agreement. All the Palestinian want is the original agreement to be honored.
If the same thing happened in America and the Native Indian simply wanted the original terrritorial agreements honored what would be your position?

For some very perverted reason, Israel is treated differently than any other nation or territory. Yes, six million Jew’s were exterminated in American made gas chambers, but so were millions of christians, gay and lesbian, retarded, physically handicapped and so many more. Why is it you believe Israel deserves some sort of special stautus?
The majority of Jew’s who could afford to flee the horror’s of WWII found refuge in America and are living here to this day. They did not leave and move to Israel. They live here in America as American’s. They love our country as much as any of us do, and many more loathe and fear the hate being stirred by the provocateur’s. Improving themselves may happen if they were left alone and allowed to live like decent humans than living like hunted dogs and aide to Palestinians like America gives Israel, Africa, and many others…again, I don’t believe much of today’s media accounts…..but I must say there are lots of campaigns to deliver goods, food, medicines to the residents there in Palestine.
I also watched a documentary—the PTB?? applied a law that if land remained idle for a certain time—it was delivered to the govt–so, false documents of sale would appear, the false owner would turn it over to the govt, and Israel would end up with the land.

No, I don’t have much faith in the current Government. But some of the stuff discussed here is so over the top that it doesn’t even pass rudimentary smell tests. And a lot of other is just “plain not so”. I guess different people can have different interpretations of long ago history – but when the history is well documented or when I see stuff with my “own lying eyes” – and somebody tries to convince me it is different than that? Whew!!!

I go back to pretending to be the President – the Christian’s must also be at the table. I don’t believe the Christian’s want their own nation but more likely they want to be able to live freely without fear. Therefore, they too need to have a seat at the table.
Second, when it comes to Arafat’s $1.3B. Honestly, I don’t have an answer, Paxson. I wouldn’t even want to venture a guess or a hypothetical. I’d need to learn more before responding.

One of the most disgusting stories I ever heard was one about a woman who sought help for her child who had a genetic disorder that would kill him, just like her other children. An old Israeli man, whose son had been a soldier and had been killed, donated money for the child to have a necessary operation. What thanks did he get? The woman was not in the least bit greatful instead she went on about wanting her son to become a shahid and murder Israelis!!
The children are bombarded with stories about “horrid Jews” and their heads are filled with all sorts of lies. This is what they get in daily doses from the TV. It is all very hatefilled. They are taught to hate from a very young age. They are not given the opportunity to learn how to love others.

Tonight’s conversation was one of the worst that I have been involved in since posting here. I knew that there were Americans out there who had Helen’s perspective. But I had mostly associated them to the William Ayers, Reverend Wright’s, Louis Farrakhan’s, Barack Obama’s, David Duke’s and crew. You know the point where the hard core leftists, Muslim extremists and the Ku Klux Klan intersect in agreement?

you are absolutely correct. From what I understand, the land prior to 1948 had been neglected by the occupants. There had always been Jews in that area, and it is not true to state that this particular land belonged to those interlopers – the “Palestinians”…. it did not.
I remember reading in school about the industriousness of those Israelis when they returned to the land which was barren. They actually built the first desalination plants. They turned barren land into green land. They built up the cities.
Now contrast that situation to what happened when these Palestinians took over the West Bank – they destroyed the synagogues. They destroyed the hydroponic garden systems that would have provided food for their families. Instead they built tunnels so that they could smuggle in weapons. Then they built those rockets that they constantly fired into Israel causing terror for the people in Srdot on an almot daily basis.
Probably one of the worst stories out of that region was the Palestinian occupation of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. The stories came out of how they desecrated the church, the damage that they did to the fixtures and fittings and other items within the church. They defecated all over the place…. they were disgusting.
Aussie, the strife absolutely did not begin in 1948. The Jews began re-settling the non-country of Palestine in the 1800’s. Also, contrary to Helen’s statement, there was always animosity between the Arab people and the Jews. The Arabs considered Jews as being second class citizens and there was always a separation in schools, work, social gatherings etc. There is no doubt that Europe, mainly Britain, did interfere in the region far more than they should have. But they did so in the entire Middle East. Go back and read he Balfour Declaration. The situation there is very complex. But the bottom line is that the Jewish people have every right to be there, as essentially nothing was their when they began to re-settle.
I have no doubt that if it were not for the constant threat of extermination by people of Muslim faith in the region, that Israel would be a much more open society. At this point, they are doing what they have to do to survive. They are, or were prior to Obama, our strongest ally in the region and can be counted on “when push comes to shove”.
It’s a complex world out there and the Helen’s of the world don’t do anyone any justice when they try to simplify it with anti-semeticism. She has merely taken on the view point of the United Nations.

You are right, it is what I would expect from Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright and other rather disgusting leftist types. On another blog tonight, there were people pouring out their thoughts and feelings about loved ones who were killed by Muslims on 9/11. One of them told how he saw the aircraft hit the Pentagon. Another mentioned that her husband’s secretary knew 30 people who had been killed.
The stupidity of the Truther argument seems to focus on the later condition of Osama bin Laden living somewhere in a cave in the Bora Boras or so we are led to believe. Such comments are actually quite naive, because in 2001 Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda were sharing living arrangements with the Taliban in Afghanistan, where at the time the Taliban had control over the country. What these people do not understand is that Al Qaeda is a network of terrorists and that there are many units in different countries. What they fail to recognize is that prior to the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 a plot was discovered and broken up and if I remember it correctly the plotters were from the Philipines (sp), which is where the plotters were arrested. The Philippines has a strong separatist contingent of Muslims who have been striking terror in the population for a very long time, and this group has links to Osama Bin Laden. This is also true of the group in Indonesia which was headed by Bakr Bashir (an imam from Yemen). The Indonesian group (which is linked to Al Qaeda) was responsible for the Bali bombing on October 10 2002. The group responsible for the bombings in London were linked to Al Qaeda.
Aussie, she conveniently brushes aside anything that would contradict her viewpoint. Not that the United States has always treated all people fairly and perhaps Muslim countries have taken the biggest brunt. But the fact the the Muslim religious worldview includes the subjegation of women, Old Testament criminal codes and oppressive treatment (with respect to taxation, freedom of worship etc.) of other religions in Muslim dominated countries, they are complete the complete polar opposite to our open society.

Not that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict/war/deep seated hatred is not important. It is vitally important to what is about to occur with Iran (whether war or peace), but we have bigger fish to fry with these elections coming up in November.

with regard to the Philippines connection to Al Qaeda, there is a link between the first attack on the WTC (which was masterminded by OBL), the OKC bombing and the second attack on the WTC. One link is the blind sheik who continues to rot in jail, where he belongs. There is another link that has not been properly followed up.
The wife of Teri Nicols came from the Philippines. For some time prior to the OKC bombing Nicols had been in the Philipinnes and had some kind of connection to the Muslim renegades over there. It seems that this is where he got his instruction on bomb making. The other link seems to be a man who was a former guard for Saddam Hussein by the name of Hussein al Husseini (this was never followed up by the FBI and probably on the orders of Clinton who did not want it known that there had been another attack associated with Muslims). I am open to learning more about such links and I do believe that it is true.
Now I have to look at this from the perspective of a foreigner, and from that perspective, I have to admit that it was always at the back of my mind that the WTC would be the target of another attack… it was logical. At the time my perspective was based upon certain propaganda about American attempts at proselytizing in Muslim nations. I admit to being naive at that point because I did not know about how Christians were not allowed to have a Bible in their possession, let alone wear a crucifix, and that was just at the airport!!! I learned about that situation from a Lebanese man. In fact on the night (my time) that the attack took place I had in fact stated this would be the case (long story but what I am saying is true, and I was shocked). I expected the attack to take place. OBL was p’d off with the USA over the Bosnian war. This was his payback.
The Saudi Arabians who participated in the airline attacks on 9/11/01 were intelligent men. They were advanced students, degree qualified. Yet they were fanatics, willing to be shahid for allah. There is much that is known about them. There is a link between a mosque in Virginia and those who participated in the hijackings and attacks. In fact there is a link to the imam in Yemen (an American citizen) with these men, as well as the Fort Hood murderer. It is all linked because all of them were radicals within Islam.

Also, another poster talked as though we don’t give the Palestinians any money or aid whatsoever. They essentially have zero GDP and are solely reliant on donations to servive. Palestinians are the epitomy of the welfare state, except that almost nobody contributes to theire economy in any meaningful way. When has anyone yet stood up to the Islamist terrorists? At the center of Sept 11 was the core teaching of Islam that states that the world must either convert to Islam, pay a kafir tax, or be killed. “Moderate” Muslims are those who have not read or followed all the precepts of Islam. From a terrorism seminar I attended a few days ago, I learned that moderate Muslims view terrorists as the “gold standard.” Puts a different perspective on things, doesn’t it? It all comes from their damnable, evil Quran. If this pastor is prevented in any way from exercising his rights, it will be a HUGE victory for Islam and will further embolden them to make even deeper incursions into the very fabric of our society. This pastor is drawing a line in the sand. Whether or not it is something any of us would do, he is taking on Islam. Do we cower in fear because “Oh, no, now there will be repercussions,” or do we engage the enemy who is already here among us, and drive home the message that we will NOT be intimidated, we will NOT be cowed, we will NOT fear what they will do, and we WILL push back! I wanted to read all of the comments to the article before I weighed in with my two cents. First of all, I want to establish who I am. I am a Christian, an American, and a Texan, in that order. I have no political affiliations because I believe in personal responsibility and don’t feel the need to ask for or take anything from a government entity, local, state, or federal. Jews and Christians have been in a struggle with non-believers for thousands of years. These non-believers have been known as Romans, Egyptians, Muslims, barbarians and many other names. What has separated Jews and Christians from the non-believers is the belief in one supreme being, God, who will ultimately judge each of us. Some periods of history have the non-believers killing and enslaving Believers; other periods have Believers fighting back to establish a peace. The Holy Wars began because Muslims overran all Christian countries in the middle East trying to eradicate the “infidels”. Christians fought back and re-took the land.
These battles have been fought for ages but not by ALL Christians or by ALL non-believers. Another example is our own fight for Independence. First, it was a war fought to remove the yolk of an oppressor who placed himself above all other Christians as the only person who had the ear of God. Second, less than twenty percent of Americans were involved in the war. The war was fought to free all Americans from that oppression, not the select few who fought. The Declaration of Independence stated those facts and the Constitution sealed the contract.
What I see here is a diverse group of people with different ideas about how to approach the same problem, namely the loss of those freedoms that our founding fathers fought and died for. I respect each and every viewpoint and will protect each person’s right to express those views. However, we are in a life or death struggle with an enemy who does not respect those God-given rights. This has been proven time and again throughout history. This evil must always be beaten back through strength and determination. Reasoning and logic has never succeeded and never will. The good General Petraeus may indeed beat back the barbarians in his battle but the war will not be won because the barbarians have infiltrated our forces and we have already been neutralized as shown by his attitude on the burning of a book.
We, as a nation, stand at the edge of a precipice with one foot stepping out to the fiery abyss. It is time for even the pacifists and appeasers, of which there are many, to recognize this and move to save our great nation or we will have NO nation in a very short time. I, for one, will fight and die if needed.”

how strange that one person here does not believe that I live in Australia. Like I have repeatedly said I have an aunt and cousins in the USA. I have for a short time lived in the USA but that was in 1984-85. I was born and raised in Australia. I have used my aunt and cousins situation in illustrating what is meant by NBC because in their case, their mother was an Australian citizen when they were born, which means that they were citizens, even native citizens, but not natural born citizens as required to be POTUS. However, it seems that some people who have little between the ears just do not understand those statements.
I will repeat what I stated earlier. I have never listened to Michael Savage. I do know who he is, but I have not even read any of his articles. Yes, I even know how he was banned from Britain, which is in my view stupid… but that is another story, because they did the same to Geert Weelders (sp).
Also need to point out that some facts were wrong about the Orthodox Church and its beginnings. At the beginning of Christianity there was no Orthodox Church. There was “one catholic and apostolic church” where everyone was known as Christian. The final split occurred just over 1000 years ago, when the Church was divided between the east and the west, but there was an earlier split, roughly at the time of the rise of Islam. The Orthodox Church resulted from that split, being the Church of the East with its base in Constantinople, which is now known as Istanbul. The Hagia Sophia belongs to the Orthodox Church.
Also, I think that the comments about the Orthodox Church at Ground Zero that were made here were misleading. I would have to look up the articles again to see what is happening, but it seems that for the past 9 years the powers that be have held up all building applications. That has nothing to do with Pamela Geller and the opposition to the Ground Zero Victory Mosque.

I know that people are feeling anxious about the situation that is brewing with Iran. I understand the fear that is being felt, but it is misplaced fear.
Anyone keeping an eye on Ahmanutjob knows that he is talking up the possibility of strife and he has made noises about wiping Israel off the face of the earth. Do you really think that the Saudis will allow that to happen?
Face the truth here: Saudi Arabia is the seat of Islam, not Iran. The Saudis are not that keen on the idea of Iran, whose mullahocracy is Shia, taking a big role in the Middle East. If it looked like Iran was going to cause something, then I certainly think that Saudi Arabia will clear the way for the Israelis to do a flyover and attack those nuclear sites.
I do not believe that the USA or any of her allies will strike Iran at this point in time, unless there was a direct threat to Saudi Arabia, the UAE , Jordan or Egypt (I could be wrong). Under this present regime in Washington I cannot forsee troops being committed to any short war on behalf of Israel. However, it might be different if the Saudis required aid, since Al Qaeda has been actively attacking within Saudi Arabia, and Iran is no friend of Saudi Arabia ( I reserve the right to be wrong).
Up until the allies actually moved into Iraq I was against this military action. Then as I watched on TV I saw how the Iraqi people, especially in the countryside, welcomed the allied forces. They were not fighting them, and many soldiers laid down their weapons and surrendered. It was totally surreal. The “war” was over within weeks, but there was a lot of clean-up and yes the fighting continues. However, it is not a war, more like an occupation. Last year when through a coup perpetrated by Ahmanutjob and the grandpoohbah, the people took to the streets, and many paid with their lives. They took to the rooftops, just like they did in 1978-79. They chanted death to Ahmanutjob and death to the grandpoohbah. The situation remains fluid.
What you must understand is that Ahmanutjob and the grandpoohbah belong to a sect that believes in the return of the Mahdi, the 12th imam. This is why Ahmanutjob is attempting to do things that will hasten the return of the 12th imam. In order to do this, he has to create the equivalent of the biblical Armageddon. In other words he is attempting to create a situation that will lead to world war. At the same time he is helping to promote the idea of the return of the Caliphate, which in reality means conquering all nations and subjugating the population and forcing Sharia law upon everybody.
Until the grandpoohbah Khomenei and Ahmanutjob are removed from power, the situation will remain very unstable. Yet, I have faith in the Iranian people and I believe that the majority of the people of Iran do not want a war to break out.
