Representative Michele Bachmann has put out an urgent plea to stop a dangerous bill about to be voted on.

“Bachmann: House Preserves ACORN’s Role in TARP II
Washington, D.C., Dec 10 –
(Washington, D.C.) U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann (MN-06), member of the House Financial Services Committee, made the following statement after the Democrat Leadership denied the entire House an opportunity to vote on her amendment to prevent ACORN from participating in the Consumer Financial Protection Agency’s Oversight Board. The Consumer Financial Protection Agency (CFPA) is an expansive new government bureaucracy with far-reaching powers to make decisions for consumers about the kinds of mortgages, small business loans, and other financial products they may access. The Oversight Board will be tasked with advising the Agency’s director on strategies and policies.
“An organization that has repeatedly shown an inability to adhere to even the most basic standards of ethics should not have a role in overseeing our nation’s financial system,” said Bachmann. “By rejecting consideration of my amendment, the Democrat Majority protected ACORN instead of American taxpayers and investors.”
In recent months, the IRS, U.S. Census Bureau, and Congress have taken numerous actions to sever ties with ACORN. In fact, less than two months ago, the House Financial Services Committee accepted another amendment offered by Bachmann that would prevent ACORN from serving on a similar board established in the exact same bill under consideration this week.
“There is a clear consensus amongst the American people that ACORN is unfit to receive federal funds and partner with federal organizations. The Democrat Leadership’s decision today robs Congress from having the opportunity to take an up-or-down vote on my amendment and keep ACORN out of our financial markets,” said Bachmann.”

The majority of Americans last fall were united against the $700 billion Wall Street bailout known as TARP. Proponents of the bill urged immediate action, claiming that a failure to act quickly would send the financial industry over the brink. They promised to examine the root cause of the crisis once financial markets were secure. One year later, the House is considering legislation that will result in the most far-reaching reforms of the financial services industry in our nation’s history.
But instead of addressing the real causes of the financial collapse and fixing bad government policies that led to the crisis, congressional Democrats want to codify the fiscally irresponsible bailout mania. Their bill would make taxpayer bailouts the permanent solution for dealing with reckless financial institutions in the future.
The 1,300-plus-page bill the House is scheduled to vote on today creates a “systemic risk regulator” tasked with determining which firms meet an undefined “too big to fail” test. It allows the government to tap a multibillion-dollar bailout fund to save troubled firms whenever it wants. This fund will be initially financed by a massive new tax on financial institutions and is expected to take $55 billion out of the hands of small businesses and job creators, leading to a loss of as many as 450,000 jobs. Should that fund run dry, taxpayers are on the hook to replenish it. And unlike TARP, this bill authorizes the Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve to completely bypass congressional approval and directly provide such lifelines to flailing firms.
The moral hazard this bill creates will ripple through the entire financial marketplace. Providing banks with a bailout guarantee will perpetuate a cycle of irresponsibility, shielding creditors from taking the fall for making risky decisions and forcing taxpayers to ante up again and again.
Rather than increasing transparency within the Federal Reserve and directing it to focus on the nation’s monetary policy, this bill drastically expands the powers of the Fed to intervene in the private marketplace. But the Federal Reserve has already proven its inability to preemptively catch systemic risks as demonstrated by the financial crisis that occurred under its watch. Giving more power to government bureaucracies that have failed in the past will do nothing to stabilize our markets.
I support an alternative plan that addresses both the core problems in our financial system and promises American taxpayers that they will not be on the hook for Wall Street’s mistakes ever again. Three key principles guide this proposal: 1) It ends government bailouts of financial institutions; 2) It stops allowing the government to pick winners and losers in the financial industry; and 3) It reinstates market discipline by removing moral hazards that exist today.
Minnesotans know when Washington is trying to pull a fast one. While the government takeover of health care and total lack of job growth is at the forefront of everyone’s minds, we cannot let this permanent bailout legislation slip through Congress without a fight.”

Rush is just talking about the “safe school” czar and the GLSN curriculum. So, this abomination is bubbling up in more open places.
I just had a meeting with my children’s middle school principle about this. I looked up those recommended readings in the regional library that services my school district and there are two.
I encourage EVERYONE to do the same. Find out just what is available to the children in your school district and then take that information to a meeting with the local school officials.
Now that this information is out there we MUST do something to let our school officials that we do not approve and then take it to the superintendent/school board if you get a bad response at the principle level.
This agenda is not appropriate and we need to call them on it.

the Omnibus Bill usually covers operational budgets for a number of government agencies/departments lumped together. I think the bill Bachman is referring to is different. But…there’s no mention of bill number and little info on what she’s sounding the alarm on.
I listened to the interview twice. I have a feeling, combined with other information, part of the bill (her #3 point) is a prelude to a cashless society – at the very least it’s probably laying the groundwork for it.
Remember they are trying to get the number of banks down to 9 – easier to control that way. The so called “stress tests” would allow the govt the leverage to shut them down at will. It’s a process, but always have to look at the bigger picture.
The cashless society is also tied in with the healthcare bill – which is going to pass. It’s also tied into the global warming scam.

They conferenced about hearing the case regarding pension investments being dissolved by Chrysler, with obvious help from the Obama admin. The SCOTUS blog announced this morning that it was one one of the cases to watch today. I do not think that was the case with any of the citizenship cases. Here is the link:

I am not making excuses for any decisions handed down by the SCOTUS, based on procedural or substantive laws, when I say this but rather, I only want to point out a fundamental methodology of interpretation, whether legal meaning, legal precedent, or statutory construction.
In general, given the proposition that everyone has an opinion, the rule is, if the tribunal interprets the question it is charged with deciding; in a way that is possible, all things considered then, deference goes to the tribunal. For example, if the lower court interprets the Constitutionality of a statute, if possible, it will find that statute Constitutional in deference to the lawfully elected/appointed state or federal legislature that passed the law.
And the appeals court will defer to the lower court, etc.

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — In town from Jacksonville, Preston Talbot, 4, can’t believe the holiday display at Old School Square.
“It’s huge,” Talbot said of the 100-foot tall Christmas tree.
His mother was just as awestruck.
“And then when you stand in the middle to look all the way up to see how tall that is, it’s a very tall tree,” Rebecca Faulk said.
What the family didn’t see Friday morning was a menorah. It was omitted from Delray Beach’s holiday display this year.
But that all changed after a public outcry. City leaders scrambled to find a suitable candelabrum, and within a day, one was born.
“It came in as steel,” said Bill Emery, of Brandano Displays. “The welder had to bend the pieces, weld it. We had to paint it. (It) had to be bulbed. So, basically, in less than 24 hours, that was made.”
The company, hired to provide some of the secular light displays, donated the menorah after the controversy.
Emery, who installs displays all over South Florida, found the flash bulbs and television camera recording the set-up took a little getting used to.
“I think a lot of people in Delray missed it and they should be feeling like they’re represented now,” said resident Steve Manning, who stopped to take a picture. “I’ve always grown up with a Christmas tree myself, but I think everyone needs to have some representation during the holidays.”
Mayor Nelson “Woodie” McDuffie stopped by to survey the scene.
“It’s brought a sense of well-being to Delray,” McDuffie said. “The feelings have changed already all over town right now. My e-mail is now very complimentary.”

After listening to G. Beck today and more comments on gold I think we all had better
start thinking out of the box. For example,
did you know you can buy someone a heifer
for $50—-it would provide milk for your
family (now this is as far as I go—live in the country, but I’m no farmer). I am thinking
of selling my house and moving to a small farm where we could quickly learn how to raise
livestock (chickens, pigs, sheep, a cow or two,
and whatever else is good in a pinch). What
do you think of that idea? I’d like a llama
or alpaca (but alpacas are expensive, just checked on the Net—plus sheep are cheaper
and provide fiber).

Glad to hear there is another Lhasa Apso owner
here. They are dear little Tibetan guard dogs
(inside). The first Lhasa we had took his guard
duty to the extreme, but we loved him nonetheless. Our second Lhasa (the one we have now) is smaller, and she is calm (inside) and like
a lioness outside (will go up to big dogs and let
them know she “owns” the street). Lhasas are
intelligent, imo; I have just started “reading”
Christmas stories to her–she will look up at
me, look at the page, and wait for me to turn it.

started this with her head on my knee, looking
at the book.

I wish there were simple answers. They have already taken steps to make sure we can’t be self sufficient, in so far as raising our own food. There are taxes on chickens, cattle, etc…that are more than the cost of the chicken. I kid you not.
Of course these farm animals have to be “registered” with the govt, as do any vegetables you grow and sell. Oh yes, they’ve thought of everything. All under the guise of protecting us from some bad bacteria or whatever the heck else they dream up.
Right now there are laws on the books that require people who sell produce in roadside markets or farmer’s markets to fill out paperwork on produce sold so they can “track” this stuff in case someone falls ill. Not many bother to do it. It’s all about control.
It’s so Orwellian I am embarrassed to write about it here.

The 221-202 vote to approve the House-Senate compromise bill sends it to the Senate, which may pass it this weekend and ship it on to President Barack Obama. Not a single Republican voted for the bill.

The reason Obama and Holder want this trial in NYC, is because now KSM will be moved into a federal court system, where he now has constitutional rights.
Since he’s now basically a US citizen with full constitutional rights, all the evidence gathered on him by way of ‘torture or water boarding’ will not be admissible in a federal court.

Donofrio’s case is just one of 18 suits brought by citizens demanding proof of Obama’s citizenship or qualification to serve as president.
Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama’s campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent
upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep
indicated that the investigation is still ongoing but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. attorney general, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused to comment on
the matter.

with an Indonesian passport that would tend to prove that he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967.
Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a “naturalborn” American citizen between 1981 and 2008..

You’re 100% right about the WMDs. I’ve mentioned this before, but it bears repeating.
Remember how Saddam was refusing access to the weapons inspectors on a constant basis? He was moving everything (mostly, to Syria) and what he couldn’t move, he buried. Whole chemical and bio labs were ‘dug up’ in the desert, and they were NOT mom and pop operations. These were sophisticated labs capable of producing bio and chem weapons ‘en masse.’
Sorry, but I can’t quote a source for this as it was work-related, but this is known via reports from the field in Iraq.
For those who beat the drum and insist that there were no WMDs, I say just ask the Kurds who were gassed with a very inhuman combo of chemicals, many of which were in the mustard class.

There’s the famous clip Rush Limbaugh runs of blacks somewhere waiting at a government office for checks that they thought they could pick up: and they say the same things about “Obama Money” coming to them. The reporter asks where this money comes from and they say, “Duh, it’s from Obama. It Obama money. Don’t know where he gets it. Don’t care. It’s from his stash.”

People have asked me over the years why these WMD ‘discoveries’ weren’t reported in the media. While I don’t know for sure (even though we know how the MSM *always* reports the truth) I have a simple theory:
The press hated Bush as much as they love Barky. By not reporting this, going into Iraq would be construed as a senseless war, and Bush ridiculed that much more; of course, this did happen.
Now that we know the capabilities of the MSM to knowingly report false info and/or sit on the truth, the theory makes more sense each day.
They wanted to make Bush out to be a fool, and they did. They wanted to make Barky The Messiah, and they did that, too.

joyceaz-A major point for the pilots is they don’t need any distractions of any kind, which is why they rely on their crew. Sometimes things get dicey very fast, we had some very bad airplane crashes near O’Hare-pilots and crew need all their wits-at all times, something like Capt. Sullenberger when he had to ditch the plane in the Hudson. These decisions are split seconds and I’m sure they pray the entire time that they made the correct decision.

This is one of the crashes I remember-we were at work when all the lights went out, then we saw a lot of black smoke, so we thought one of the refineries that was near by blew up. Sirens that went on forever. All the stop lights out, everything out. About an hour this came on the news, no one at work could talk due to shock.

Memorial Day this year is also the 30th anniversary of the worst single-plane disaster in the history of U.S. commercial aviation — the crash near O’Hare International Airport of American Airlines Flight 191.
May 25, 1979, was the Friday leading into Memorial Day, and Flight 191 took off that afternoon for Los Angeles International Airport. The DC-10 carried 258 passengers and a crew of 13.
Authorities later determined that an engine began falling off on takeoff. The huge jetliner was in the air for only 45 seconds and reached an altitude of only 400 feet before it plunged to the ground near Elk Grove Village.
All 271 people on the flight were killed, as well as two people on the ground.
Karen Pride, a spokeswoman for the Chicago Department of Aviation said that on Sunday O’Hare’s chaplain dedicated morning services to the victims of the crash. She said no other memorials are scheduled.

Moody’s lowers Illinois bond rating

In a shuddering preview of what’s in store for the U.S., Moody’s Investor Services lowered the state of Illinois’ bond ratings on Tuesday reports Karen Pierog of Reuters.
Illinois’s bond ratings are now the second lowest of all 50 states, trailing only the # 1 holder of this dubious honor–California. In practical terms this means Illinois will have to pay bondholders a higher interest rate to compensate for their higher risk.
Illinois, is the state where then State Senator Barack Obama (D) voted present as a state legislator, consistently voting for tax and spend policies. Then, he moved on to represent Illinois in Washington as Senator Obama where he continued to do the same before moving on to become president of the United States where he continues his pattern of tax and spend, consequences be damned.
He brings forth policies of spending our way out of the recession caused, of course, by his predecessor. His presidential predecessor, of course, had to deal with aCongress that was controlled by the party of the now president of which the now president was a member. joyceaz-I guess what I am trying to say is Airports/Jets/Pilots/Passengers/Personnel-safety is very important. Not a place for playing mind games-subtly attempting to intimidate fellow passengers. I know the airline industry does not want to lose passengers but people are not going to put up with anyone acting in an irresponsible way in the airport or on the plane.

I would encourage you to Google some of the Executive Orders – that are still in place for “O” – that gave Bush dictatorial powers and the ability to side step Congress, along with The Patriot Act 1 and 2 – which Congress still hasn’t been allowed to read in it’s entirety, and The John Warner Defense Act (PDD51) which moved us closed to Martial Law. You may also want to have a look at some of the international acts/treaties/ agreements he signed, as well. Does the North American Trade Agreement ring a bell? It was signed without approval of Congress. That agreement was the first step toward creating a North American Union necessary in moving us forward to world government.
The words “I see a New World Order coming into view…” (NWO) came straight out of his father’s mouth. I guess he did…cause it’s here now, baby! We’re seeing it.

I have a rudimentary knowledge of nuclear physics, and with respect to any possibility that Saddam Hussein possessed nuclear weapons is still pretty much hearsay. I say this because there is a whole lot of development that MUST take place before an actual nuclear device can be manufactured. This is also the case where Iran is concerned. I personally think that Saddam may have possessed the CAPABILITY to manufacture U235 but there is a great deal of conjecture if he actually refined any or not. I believe that his equipment was hastily removed and sent to Iran, and it is now part of their development program.Even an acclerated program takes a lot of time. Granted there is techniques,and equipment existing today that has radically shortened the time required from beginning to bomb,there is still a very dear amount of time required to extract enough U 235 from U308. While I agree Iran has already had a great deal of time to do this they have also had a number of stumbles which has a way of compounding the development time exponentially. Further there is nuclear power. and there is THERMO NUCLEAR FISSION. OR (HYDROGEN BOMB). I personally believe that the Iranian leaders are totally unaware of the fact that the US also has operational THERMO nuclear devices in our arsenal. These make atomic devices look like ladyfinger firecrackers. Hydrogen weapons will destroy huge areas, and totally incinerate the residue. So when Ahmadinajad tries to make the world quake in their boots he should be asking his alleged developers what thermo nuclear devices can do. In addition since we have them in our arsenal there is certainly an appropriate doctrine for the use of the H bomb. I personally think such a lunatic will ultimately lead his country into some sort of confrontation with the US, at which point there would indeed be justification to use thermo nuclear weapons in retaliation, after which the country of Iran would no longer exist as such. It would have its entire surface wiped clean of human, animal,vegatative life, and structural adornments. Iran would become a radioactive area for at least 100 years,and wherein no human,or animal life would be able to survive.
Should MISS AHMADINAJAD choose to confront the US he will face possible total anihilation of IRAN. It would take about 5 H bombs having a yeild of about 30 megatons each. However for us to be justified in using the supreme weapon he would have to first attack either the US directly, or ISRAEL. There is also another variable involved, which is whether Soetoro (if he is still President) will possess the intestinal fortitude to use such weapons. We will have to wait, and see on that one.
I have personally witnessed first hand the level of destruction that is generated by a 15 MEGATON H bomb, from a distance of 40 miles. It is horrendous, and defies description. This occurred in March of 1954, in the Marshall Island test area at Bikini and Enawetok. The US is STILL paying for that MISTAKE.

I have an argument regarding the alleged supremacy of the courts over the Constitution. If the courts are so damned superior why haven’t they been able to render the constitution as invalid? They have indeed tried many times. But there is no open areas for skirting the meaning of the Constitution either verbally, or by virtue of interpretation. The courts , and many judges might think that they can twist the wording of the Constitution to mean anything they want it to mean. These people who think this are MORONS.and they very often reflect their level of intelligence via the nitwit interpretations that they have rendered in the past. The composition of our Constitution was well thought through, before it was ever put to pen and ink. The founders were all gifted scholars in their own ways. They picked ,and chose appropriate words so as to expand the meaning well enough to cover every possible interpretation. Sarah is indeed an unusual person to say the least. I read her book Going Rogue. I believe this book was either meant to be an autobioagraphy, or she inadvertently simply can not write in any other way. I am really not sure on that question. However it was well written, and really provided a kaleidascope view of her intrinsic nature. While it doesn’t really specify any of her future anticipated pursuits, it does in fact spell out how she feels about politics in general. I personally expect her to surprise all of us by doing just the opposite of what we THINK she will do. I believe that she enjoys a spontaneous sort of life style, and in that view she is likely to do about anything.

Haven’t been caught up for days now as life has been crazy busy. But wanted to pop in and thank absolutely everyone for their advice on my disc issues.
Finally saw the back doc and saw the pics. Two very herniated discs. The worst the doc had seen. Don’t have a clue HOW, but it is what it is.
Thanks to all of you, I’m 80 to 90 percent pain free without drugs. I must say the doc was impressed! If I weren ‘t, I’d be in surgery right now. So I at least get to try the injection first, and surgery will only happen if the pain returns.
Keith, I think it was you who gave me the “clip the feet on the edge of the bed” excercise. I did it and wow…i told the doc about it and he said, yes, that would be a good excercise for this…he didn’t even mention it…I did!
So thank you all. I’m afraid I might have some nerve damage…but I’m doing better and must move forward with good attitude. : ) If it comes to surgery, he said there’s no risk of paralization for this particular surgery…so much to be thankful for this season!

That is neat what you experienced at Hobby lobby. I also have some encouragement of a positive nature along those lines. I’m doing seasonal phone work at Harry and David’s. I live where the headquarters are and yes, we grow the best pears in the world, bar none. : ) During training, they told us that if someone wants Merry Christmas on their greeting, that Xmas is neve never ever used…even if requested. I do realize that x is actually a christian religious symbol, but most don’t know that. We are free to give Merry Christmas greetings on the phone, and it’s not discouraged in any way shape or form. So there is still good stuff going on out there.

The BIG question is why would Saddam Hussein have 550 metric tons of “yellowcake” – the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment?

I don’t mean to be contradictory, but with herniated discs, they eventually will NEED surgery. While I agree if what you are doing works, by all means continue until it NO LONGER works. Dependent upon where the discs are herniated whether they are in your CERVICAL spine or your THORIAC spine. There is a very real possibility that you could be looking at ANTERIOR FUSION surgery, particularly where two adjacent discs are herniated. My wife and I were struck in the rear while we were stopped at a traffic light. the person who hit us was travelling at about 50 MPH. At that time our van had no headrests at the top of the seat. She sufferred SEVERE whiplash injuries and two herniated discs as a result, at C-4 and C-5. This accident occurred in 1999, and she has exhausted nearly all the options, and pain killers. She too is facing a strong probability of ANTERIOR FUSION surgery. Sadly NONE of the Neurological Surgeons will venture a guess if it will end her constant pain. I was very fortunate in that the back of my seat fractured and allowed the kinetic energy to be passed off by the rearward collaps of my seat. AQlthough when we struck the vehicle in front of us I was then propelled forward and ended up with my knees crammed yup under the dashboard. I had a horrible headache for about 5 hours after the accident. I can’t describe the impact as anything other than what you would expect from a giant sledge hammer. Our vehicle had a full frame under it, and the initial impact tore the engine loose from it’s respective mounts, and fractured the bell housing which mounts the transmission to the engine. The vehicle was totalled.
She is still using EPIDURAL injections periodically. These are really nothing more than a pain medication with cortisone. They are slowly having a lesser effect. If the pain gets too hairy I guess we will be forced to do the surgery. I really wish you the best in this because I know what it has done to my wife over the last 10 years.

The injection is nothing more than anti-inflamitory…it’s not a pain killer…so if it doesn’t work, then I’m off to surgery, which he assured me had no risk of paralization. And yes,if it doesn’t get better, then I could be facing permanent nerve damage in my leg and loss of function. So you can be sure, I’m gonna be keeping a close watch on this!

I too served in the Navy, and was also present at the 1954 H bomb test series. This was called Operation Castle, and incorporated task group 7.3 I commented earlier at length regarding this. I watched the final seconds of the detonation from a point about 40 miles distant, which is where ALL surface vessels were to be at prior to the detonation. AS it turned out the ship that I was assigned to, and a ww2 escort carrier along with several smaller vessels heavily plastered with radioactive fallout Cesium 137, and a host of other contaminants. The carrier CVE 115 was so heavily contaminated that the crew was ultimately removed, and she was towed back to Bremerton Washington where it underwent heavy decontamination service. I heard recently that it was’nt sold for scrap as we all initially thought.; rather it was finally put back into service and was deployed several times to Viet Nam, as a HELICOPTER carrier..
As I stated earlier the level odf destruction that this device done is indescribable. One reason for the contamination was the fact that the test bomb was theorwetically only supposed to yeild about 7 megaton. Nobody was aware that it contained fuel that had undergone an advanced refinement procedure which upon detonation generated a doubling of the yeild and therefore the ships were not in proper positions to avoid fallout. I personally like to joke about this ;I sometimes tell my wife if she wants to see if I am still radioactive all she needs to do is turn out the lights. If I glow in the darkness I am still radioactive,LOL. I would encourage you to Google some of the Executive Orders – that are still in place for “O” – that gave Bush dictatorial powers and the ability to side step Congress, along with The Patriot Act 1 and 2 – which Congress still hasn’t been allowed to read in it’s entirety, and The John Warner Defense Act (PDD51) which moved us closed to Martial Law. You may also want to have a look at some of the international acts/treaties/ agreements he signed, as well. Does the North American Trade Agreement ring a bell? It was signed without approval of Congress. That agreement was the first step toward creating a North American Union necessary in moving us forward to world government.

Momentum Building for Code Red Rally
It’s time we all stop pretending that what is happening with this ObamaCare debate is about “helping the uninsured” or “fixing the healthcare system” or “giving the people what they want.” It’s about none of those things. Its about amassing as much power in a central government as humanly possible. It’s about wealth redistribution. It’s social engineering at its absolute worst.
The American people must take this political system back from those who have hijacked it in one of the most abhorrent power grabs that we the voters have ever seen. It’s the holiday season so the Democrats are counting on you to be otherwise occupied and too busy to stand against their massive expansion of government. Let them underestimate us again just as they did last summer. Let these unrepresentative politicians proceed with their legislative chicanery and self-righteous grandstanding. We can expose them and confront them in the classic American spirit–a public gathering on their doorstep. On December 15th at 1:30pm, we will remind Pelosi, Reid, Schumer et al. that they work for us and not the other way around. We will demand that they follow the will of the people, not dismiss and degrade it by putting future generations into a deficit dungeon. We will put every politician who supports this travesty on notice: enjoy your remaining time in the U.S. Capitol because we’re coming for your seat.

Maddie, David Green, Hobby Lobby, is a strong Christian.My wife worked at the Hobby Lobby Corp. Headquarters in Oklahoma City for many years. Hobby Lobby bought the Mel Tillis theater in Branson, MO and donated it to the local church. He also tithes 10% of all profits to his church. He is a great and wonderful man. I have met him a couple of times.
As a side note, he started the business out of his garage in Oklahoma City and has built it up to what it is today. Hobby Lobby is not a publicly owned business. His family are the sole owners.

What you describe is something that you need to show everybody how to do. It requires somebody who can think on their feet verbally and be able to fire a verbal torpedo at the enemy, which is really linguistically programmed to caue the enemy to hyper ventilate themselves into their heads exploding. They would have people severly beaten or even killed if it suited their purposes. There used to be a Tammany Hall Mentality which permeated the Democratic party literally from day one. In Boston they used to enlist the help of the so called SHANTY IRISH in beating people up.They even had some of their OWN DEMS roughed up if they wanted them to drop out from competing for office. The mine owners in the South used to HIRE train loads of the SHANTY IRISH and used them as strike breakers against John L LEWISs union knotheads. Many of his strikers ended up with a lot of knots on their heads. This sort of thing was quite prevalent in the 20s,30s, and even into the 40s. It is conceivable that one day soon people will once again be carrying PEACEMAKERS in plain view whenever they visit the grocery,the bank, or perhaps even to the voting booth, and it is also just as likely that most of those peopl will make themselves really good at using their weapons. Many people already have liscenses to carry concealed weapons. Here in Indiana you need a liscense to carry a weapon in plain sight , or concealed.

Small world this is indeed. For years I worked for Gaw O’Hara Envelope Co in Chicago. One of our biggest customers was Harry & David. We literally manufactured 10’s of millions of catalog envelopes for them and others. Still enjoy their fine pears and other produce today.
