Rabbi Mark Cohn, of Temple Emanuel in Winston-Salem, said Freedman died Friday.
Prominent defense attorney David Freedman has died, according to Rabbi Mark Cohn, of Temple Emanuel in Winston-Salem.
Cohn said Freedman died Friday. He was 64-years-old.
“He’s just been a real pillar, in so many ways, for people,” Cohn said. “We are going to miss him very, very much.”
Cohn said Freedman died of COVID-19 after being diagnosed with a severe case of the delta variant of the virus. Cohn said Freedman was fully vaccinated.
Cohn said Freedman largely drew from his Jewish faith in his pursuit for justice.
“He had a soul and a presence that was very approachable,” Cohn said. “He took on really big cases. He was a lawyer’s lawyer in many ways.””

In America we see dramatic draught in California, and moderate draught in a couple of other geographical areas. Now there is severe loss of water in Iraq. This is NOT UNUSUAL in Iraq. However the magnitude of the loss of water increases with each cycle. In California many decades ago a gifted young scientist had told the upper echelon leaders that one day they would no longer have the snowmelt in the Sierras to rely upon. He devised an ingenius way of using geothermal heat to operate desalinization plants that would one day be necessary. The California leaders called him CRAZY, and reminded him that the snowmelt would never go away. HAR HAR HAR Who is the real crazies? Had the state constructed the proposed desalinization plants then the cost would have been only a quarter of what they will NOW COST. SO MUCH FOR BRAINPOWER.!!!!!

……….multiple high volume desalinization plants along the California coast would have today become a very needed supplement to mother nature. In addition mother nature would be supplying the fuel to operate the plants. A win win situation. But the California KNOW IT ALLS said NO. Just think…….5 desalinization plants each producing 50,000 gallons per hour, or more 24 hours each day could have exceeded 6,000,000 gallons + of distilled water every 24 hours going to strategically located reservoirs. I guess the California brass believe doing that is TOO LOGICAL.!!!!!!
