I think about this often, especially during Christmas Season.
I have been planning this article for some time, what I would say, saving fitting articles.
And there it was a few minutes ago, running errands getting back in my car, on the rear of the car in front of me.
Santa was very much a part of Christmas and the gluttony of “I want I want” of my childhood.
As I got older the empty feeling after it was over began to make an impression on me. The empty feeling of thinking more of myself instead of others and the letdown that material goods always eventually provide.
Thank God it did.
Even though I was raised in the church and actively took part in the services, the pull of material possessions was too great.
Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, being with family, giving not receiving and reflecting on life.
Sadly, the focus on non Christian materialism, Santa etc., has steadily increased since then as well as the me me me mentality that permeates our society.
Many folks these days substitute holidays to avoid a reference to Christ but even that word originated as Holy Days.
So let’s put the Christ back in Christmas and Holy back in holidays.
Greet people with Merry or Blessed Christmas even if they don’t understand or feel uncomfortable.
Help them to understand.

In thinking back about 7 decades I seem to remember the “David Copperfield” classic which I had to write 500 words about. These days I feel lucky just to remember my name. In my high school years I spent a lot of time at our public library. The library had copies of everything from Dickens, and many authors. As a youngster I spent a great deal of time at our public library looking for answers to questions which I felt were important. In those days I also remember the “Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner” as another high school English class chore.

I live in Kentucky and one of the few communities that airs Christmas sentiments on the radio stations –they actually say..’Jesus is the reason’.
According to an article at americanthinker, there are about 10 to 12 more states that are getting ready to enact laws that will allow them to do the same kind of ballot harvesting the democrats did in California this year.
Once they do that, they’ll sweep up seats just like California did.
If republicans don’t do something quick to counter, it’s going to be all over soon.

ARTICLE I:

You do not have the right to free food and housing. You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we’re just not interested in public health care.
ARTICLE VI:
You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don’t be surprised if the rest of us want to see you get the blue juice.
ARTICLE VII:
You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don’t be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won’t have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.
ARTICLE VIII:
You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.
ARTICLE IX:
You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
ARTICLE X:
This is an English speaking country. We don’t care where you came from, English is our language. Learn it!

Let me give you a little information about Paloma… She was born in Mexico and has duel citizenship with the U.S. and Mexico. She has been going around in tewanna (sp) she carries a video camera with her and she is showing and telling us what is going on. Long story short she was interviewing a male from Honduras (sp) This is what he said in the conversation that Paloma tried to get him to repeat. He said that Obama sent guns to Honduras and they wanted food! More gun running maybe? He said he loved president Trump for what he does and has no anger towards him. Paloma let him talk a lot but it was in Spanish but she would cut in and tell us what he said. She got into an argument with a American lawyer and pushed him to tell her what exactly he was doing in Mexico! I do not have much to do with FB any more I just go because of Ben and Paloma and the Ampcoil page I go to. It was mainly invented to help with Lyme Disease and now it helps a lot of things. I am saving to buy one. Any one interested it is called… Ampcoil Discussion Group Unoffical It’s a private one and to read the post you have to join. Other then these two groups and marketplace Face Book sucks! I have been trying to convince Deidra the owner to leave FB and start a web page.
