“The share of families with an employed member was unchanged at 80.0 percent in 2013. The likelihood of having an employed family member rose in 2013 for Asian families (to 88.8 percent) and for Hispanic families (to 85.1 percent). The likelihood for white and black families showed little or no change (80.1 percent and 75.7 percent, respectively).”…BLS report, April 25, 2014

Barack Obama has interrupted his perpetual vacationing due to the situation in Ferguson, MO. This supposedly shows that he cares about the citizens there. Or is it just another diversion away from the impact of his policies on the country.

For example.

The labor force participation rate for blacks has dropped 1.5 percent since Obama took office.

The unemployment rate for blacks just increased .7 percent in July to 11.4 percent.

And the increase in illegal aliens working in this country, taking jobs away from everyone, God only knows.

“Charting Poverty In Ferguson: Then And Now

While there have been many socio-economic ‘explanations and justifications’ for the recent events in Ferguson, many of which have exceeded the realm of the factual and have brazenly encroached on feelings, emotions, heartstrings, and various other of the media’s favorite manipulative mechanisms to achieve a desired outcome, the unpleasant reality is that much of what has transpired not only in the small 21,000-person St. Louis suburban community, but what is taking place across all of America has to do with a far simpler phenomenon: the rise of poverty and the destruction of America’s middle class.

Here are some facts:

Ferguson has been home to dramatic economic changes in recent years. The city’s unemployment rate rose from less than 5 percent in 2000 to over 13 percent in 2010-12. For those residents who were employed, inflation-adjusted average earnings fell by one-third. The number of households using federal Housing Choice Vouchers climbed from roughly 300 in 2000 to more than 800 by the end of the decade.

Amid these changes, poverty skyrocketed. Between 2000 and 2010-2012, Ferguson’s poor population doubled. By the end of that period, roughly one in four residents lived below the federal poverty line ($23,492 for a family of four in 2012), and 44 percent fell below twice that level.

These changes affected neighborhoods throughout Ferguson. At the start of the 2000s, the five census tracts that fall within Ferguson’s border registered poverty rates ranging between 4 and 16 percent. However, by 2008-2012 almost all of Ferguson’s neighborhoods had poverty rates at or above the 20 percent threshold at which the negative effects of concentrated poverty begin to emerge. (One Ferguson tract had a poverty rate of 13.1 percent in 2008-2012, while the remaining tracts fell between 19.8 and 33.3 percent.)”

“Obama hope and change decimates blacks.

Two of the demographic groups who were the biggest supporters of Obama have taken the hardest hits in employment. Blacks and the young.

Democrats and the left continue to use blacks and the poor as “exploited units of human capital, rather than as human beings .“

When will the black community in the US wake up, boot the demogogues out and embrace candidates of all ethnic and political backgrounds?

Soon I hope.

“The truth shall set you free.”

Here are some numbers, straight from the US Labor Dept. BLS.

They are from January 2007 when the Democrats took control of both houses of congress, January 2009 when Obama took the White House and April 2014.

“DHS Is Employing Agent Provocateurs and Are Behind the Events In Ferguson”

  3. Good morning CW, et al.

I read about the DHS involvement within the Events happening in Ferguson and it is disturbing needless to say.

  4. Good morning William et al.
I went to the link that was provided and read the entire account given. In general there seems to be quite a lot that is perpetrated by the DHS……however I am reluctant to believe that the kid who was killed did his thing at the direction of DHS……I am certain that he would have realised that he could be shot dead where he stood,or later on if he acted against an occicer. It is now clear that he turned and advanced toward the officer who had already commaned him to FREEZE. When a 300lb.6’4″ gorilla refuses to stop it is a clear signal that he does not intend to ,and is without a doubt going to try a second time to wrestle the weapon away from the cop…….after which there would have been a very dead cop. Well that issue has been decided,he will never again assault a cop,or anyone else for that matter. I believe that he got exactly what he asked for. His goon friend will hopefully be tried as an accessory to robbery. Time will tell! These bastards think they are really bad ass, but in reality they are the most cowardly scum on earth. When you stand behind one of them you very quickly discover the really STINKING ASSES of these people. I have my doubts that they even use any TP.

  7. I am deeply concerned about the involvement of New Black Panthers and other outside entities in causing discord in Ferguson at the approval of Missouri Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson. Johnson was delegated by MO Governor Jay Nixon to take charge over the Ferguson and St Louis County police forces. The FBI issued a warning that the Black Panthers were inciting violence in Ferguson yet Johnson allowed the BP, motorcycle groups and Muslims to “help” quell the violence.

FBI warns New Black Panther leader in Ferguson inciting violence AT 2:45 into video…….

    KTVI Live News
FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – Missouri Highway Patrol Captain Johnson isn’t giving specifics on how the midnight curfew would be enforced, so we’ll have to wait until midnight to see if the police change tactics at that point.

  13. Networks Ignore that Group Behind Perry’s Indictment Got $500K from Soros

    By Mike Ciandella | August 18, 2014 | 12:59

Sometimes it seems like there isn’t a single political issue that a Soros-funded group isn’t involved in. Texans for Public Justice, one of the groups behind Rick Perry’s indictment charges, is part of a “progressive” coalition that has received $500,000 from liberal billionaire George Soros.

Rick Perry was indicted by a Texas grand jury for vetoing funding for the state’s public integrity unit, unless the lead prosecutor resigned following her drunk driving arrest. Since the news of Perry’s indictment charge broke on Aug. 15, none of the network morning or evening news broadcasts have mentioned the Soros connection, or mentioned Texans for Public Justice at all.

According to KXAN, a local NBC affiliate in Austin, Texans for Public Justice filed a complaint against Perry in court last June.

According to an Open Society Institute press release, OSI has given $500,000 to help form a coalition that “could change the way the progressive community engages public policy in Texas.” Besides Texans for Public Justice, this coalition includes Texans Together, the Sierra Club, Texas Legal Services, La Fe Policy Research and Education Center, Public Citizen, and the Center for Public Policy.

Even some liberals have defended Rick Perry and dismissed the indictment charges as politically motivated. Obama senior aide David Axelrod defended Perry on Twitter, tweeting that “[u]nless he was demonstrably trying to scrap the ethics unit for other than his stated reason, Perry’s indictment seems pretty sketchy,” and MSNBC called the case against the Texas governor “weak” and “fishy.” ABC, CBS and NBC have completely ignored these liberal criticisms of the indictment.

In what appeared to have been a slip of the tongue, Texans for Public Justice Director Craig McDonald told CNN “the governor again, in his defense yesterday, said this is merely a partisan, political witch hunt. Nothing could be closer to the truth.”

The shale deposits under the Dakotas,Wyoming Etc is referred to as the Bakken, and allegedly contains enough petroleum potential to keep the US independent for over a hundred years. It is alleged to be by far larger than the Arabic oil fields. Originally many of the drillers were small wildcatters, but with the new drilling technology the Bakken now has some of the biggist Oil companies doing their thing. The Bakken extends clear into Canada, and lies under 5 or six of our western states. The jobs growth for any of those states will be largely in jobs related to drilling etc.and logistics.

  15. I pray that Perry comes down HARD on the bastards who perpetrated the insane charges against him. A grand jury can indight a HAM SANDWICH,but the trick is PROVE his guilt beyong reasonable doubt. When he is accquitted, then is the time to make the LIBERALS cough up a hell of a lot of DOUGH…….then ram the wrappers up their a$$es.

  16. CW,
I don’t trust the usurper to do anything constructive regarding any issue America is faced with. He is currently spitting in our eye, and flipping us the bird, and taking his marching orders from Soros.

The DHS is obviously corrupted, TSA is corrupted, IRS is corrupted, DOJ is corrupted, Presidency is corrupted, Hawaii Dept of Health is corrupted, SCOTUS is corrupted, VA is corrupted, Social Security Administration is corrupted, EPA is corrupted, Congress is corrupted, NSA is corrupted, and at the center of it all is the biggest liar on the planet, Barry Soetoro, the usurper.

The usurper, that lied about being an American, who has corrupted every agency of government that he has come in contact with, and used it against the lawful Citizens of America. The usurper, with a stolen Social Security number, a forged Selective Service ID, along with several, forged versions, of various birth certificates, and certifications of birth.

The evidence is there, the usurper is the wrong guy to be rewriting Americas’ immigration laws, or any laws, he should be arrested, and an audit of his actions during the usurpation should be ordered, and his illegal actions should be voided, including two SCOTUS judges.

  18. Ferguson Officer’s Version: Michael Brown Attacked Me, Grabbed My Gun

A woman claiming to be a friend of the police officer who shot an unarmed teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, called in to a radio show Friday and gave what she said was the officer’s account: that he was attacked first and that teenager Michael Brown grabbed for his gun.

    Here’s the account she gave:

Wilson said 18-year-old Michael Brown and his friend Dorian Johnson were walking in the middle of the street, so Wilson pulled up in his patrol car and told them, “Come on guys, get out of the street,” but they refused, saying they were almost at their destination.

He kept rolling beside them and they cursed at him. He finally pulled over, at which point Josie said she believes he called for backup.

“He pulled up ahead of them. And he was watching them, and then he got a call-in that there was a strong-arm robbery,” she said. That was the convenience-store robbery shown on surveillance tapes of Brown grabbing a handful of cigars and pushing a clerk away when Brown and Johnson left without paying.

The pair matched the description of the robbers, and also appeared to be holding cigars.

“So he goes in reverse back to them. Tries to get out of his car. They slam his door shut violently. I think he said Michael did,” Josie said. “And then he opened his car again. He tries to get out. And as he stands up, Michael just bum-rushes him, just shoves him back into his car, punches him in the face. And then Darren grabs for his gun. Michael grabs the gun, at one point he’s got the gun turned totally against his hip. And Darren shoves it away, and the gun goes off.”

Brown and Johnson then ran, Josie said, and got about 35 feet away.

“Darren’s first protocol is to pursue. So, he stands up and yells, ‘Freeze!’ Michael and his friend turn around. And Michael starts taunting him, ‘Oh, what are you going to do about it? You’re not going to shoot me.’ And then he said all the sudden he just started to bum-rush him. He just started coming at him full speed. And so he just started shooting. And he just kept coming. So, he really thinks he was on something because he just kept coming.”

The final shot was in the forehead, Josie said, and Brown fell about two or three feet in front of Wilson.

CNN said it verified with its police department sources that the story Josie told on the radio was the same as Wilson’s version of events. CNN called the stories an exact match.

“It’s been really, really hard to be quiet,” Josie told radio host Loesch. But she said people are giving only one side of the story; she wanted to give Wilson’s version so people could consider it.

  20. Here’s why I Love America…….

I have seen it all, and done it all
America is the most beautiful country in the world….I say that from experience because I have been to most countries in the world and nothing can compare to our America…….

God Bless her…and God will keep her safe.

  21. Honor First
Ray Charles has always garnered my attention whenever he was performing. He along with Nat King Cole, were both great singers. My first wife and I had our apartment in Brooklyn when we were first married. We went to the Old Radio City Music Hall to see Nat Cole in concert. That was in 1954. We had a really great evening. We accompanied a Jewish couple, who were personal friends of my first wife. They were our own age, and like us just getting started in the world. I still think of Nathan, and Bernice Piccar from time to time, and I revisit a little nostalgia. It gets a little painful when the memories come flooding back. I sometimes wonder why I didn’t remain in New York. Only God knows the answer to that.
One of my favorites is “Battle Hymn of the Republic”. My little girl even seems to come to attention whenever I am humming or whistling it. She is never far from me. I love her dearly, just as if she was my own flesh and blood. Her name is Bridgett, and she is a Bichon Frise pooch. She loves the 2″diameter whistling balls. She has gotten so good at catching the balls as I toss them she grabs them right out of the air. She only stands about a foot high, and she is about 17lbs. If I didn’t keep giving her treats she would probably be around 15 lbs where she should be. She definitely knows how to push my buttons. When she wants something special she gets squarely in front of me and sits up on her haunches, and stays there until I spring for something. I get the feeling sometimes that I have become her special vending machine. But you know what, I love it.

Amen to your last. Perhaps a few more of our young people should see some of the ……rest of the world. I bet they would find a new appreciation for what our country is. Particularly if they had to live in those countries for awhile. You would hear “Mommy Mommy I can’t stand this place,I am coming home”.

  25. Hello Old Friend….Oldsailor82……

Yes to really appreciate what you have, there must be a basis to make that judgment call….

Most Americans have never traveled out of their home state. Let alone around the world……the only basis they have is movies, pictures and the distorted media…..But I can say from experience that America really is the most beautiful country in the world…..

Although she has many problems, she did not ask for them, and I believe that the people will right the wrongs she now faces………

  26. RMINNC……….
Thanks for the Nat Cole. Brought back a lot of memories from the 1950s. Some of which were “lovingly painful”. They were some of the greatest days of my life. My first wife was a student of the New York School of the performing arts. She had met Beverly Sills who listened to her voice, and told her that she had a wonderful voice, and that she should pursue voice studies.

  27. Sorry Oldsailor82……

Most sailors are just that. We get to a lot of ports but unfortunately when we went ashore it was a HI…..BYE sort of thing. I have visited a lot of countries, but very few was much longer than a few days. However I would say that I would hate trying to pay for a cruise to all the places that I have been. Which includes the Arctic Ocean, Bering Sea, Aleutians, Marshall Islands (Eniwetok H tests early 1954) 15 megaton.(out of control). BRAVO TEST. Want to read some interesting stuff type into your search engine, 1954 Eniwetok H tests>BRAVO……..then you will find out what can happen when an H bomb suddenly DOUBLES it’s yeild. One facet of the outcome was the complete radiological contamination of over 7000 square miles of the Pacific Ocean’s primary tuna fishing area. The Japanese were mad as hell. The US is still paying for the cost of re settling a whole tribe of Polynesians who lived in the Marshall Islands,as well as their Healthcare. Many of them died from the raining down of the Cesium137. I have also been at GITMO,(Carribean), Panama, Spain ,Portugal, Cannes France, but alas NOT LONG ENOUGH, at any of those ports. Hell of a lot of sea miles……..nothing to look at except an occasional flying fish,or if at night the phosphorescent trail created by the ship moving through the sea water. Oh yeah nearly forgot saw a pretty large waterspout just off Cape Hatteras one day. So I would have to say Join the Navy and see the world…..through a PORTHOLE. har har

  29. RMINNC……..
I got confused Bob Strauss sent it to me…….Thanks Bob, as I said it brought back a hell of a lot of memories from the 1950s during the time we had our apartment in Brooklyn. If you have any knowledge of Brooklyn we lived on Nostrand Avenue, until we found a nicer apartment on Garfield Place, just a hop and a skip from 7th Ave. In those days we ate mostly out of the DELIs. In Brooklyn you had the choice of nearly every ethnicity within a block or two. Always something different. Thanks again for the little visit to nostalgia.

  30. Wow! Blacks are turning on Obama. I just heard Hannity interview former policeman Wheeler (black) who spent several days in Ferguson. Wheeler said that he talked to a lot of the demonstrators and asked them what they wanted. Well, they want the police chief to go, the officer sentenced for murder, and when asked what they would say to Obama if they could talk to him, the reply was one word, “goodbye”. Hmmm…….. Couple that with the black community who feels shunned and bummed over Obama’s interest in illegals being added to the work force and getting U.S. aid, and I see a greatly disillusioned black community in the days ahead.

  31. Old Sailor and RMinNC,
Always love to read of your experiences during your years of service to the USA. God bless!

  32. Bob Strauss
Boy I can’t seem to do anything right today. I meant to type in your handle, but when RM said he didn’t send the video I scrolled back and discovered that you sent it. Nothing has gone right for me today……but I usually don’t let it get me down. I promise I will try harder in the future to get things correct. Proves I am human! In the middle of doing some research that hopefully might yield some more about Soetoro.

  33. CabbyAZ……..
While I agree with most of their complaints, I do NOT BELIEVE that the killing of a person necessarily gives anybody (BLACK,WHITE, RED, OR YELLOW) the right to ROB,and LOOT businesses. I have read that 6 of these businesses are NOT GOING TO REOPEN in Ferguson. Two have said that their profits were barely marginal, because they had a high rate of pilferage. The rioting was the last straw for the owners of these businesses. So the black people have lost again because of the CRIMINAL,AND IDIOTIC behavior of two of their own. Eventually Ferguson will look like Detroit. Many if not all of the businesses have experienced CATASTROPHIC losses. I look upon such behavior as being really stupid, and seems to parallel the notion that a few black people seem to think that the world owes them something simply because one of their very distant relatives was allegedly a slave. What they can’t seem to get through their heads that it was largely their own people who sold them into slavery to begin with. Sadly there are some right here in Ft Wayne who make the same sort of claims, but when you ask for dates and so on,or documentation they havn’t the first piece of paper. I really get tired of hearing about their relatives who allegedly were slaves. Very recently a 23 year old started the same crapola, but it was at the WRONG PLACE at the WRONG TIME,he ended up with a number of real knots on his head. During my Navy years I used to pal around with a black kid, and a Swede whose parents immigrated to the US. We had some really great times whenever we went ashore. My first wife fixed him up with a blind date with a German girl who she worked with. The Swede could speak fluent German, and they got along quite well. His parents lived in Ridgewood NJ,and he used to catch the same train as I did to get from Boston down to New York.

  34. Nor do I agree with the idea that those people have the right to ask for somebody to be made dead, without trial. The policeman has a Constitutional right to a trial,if he is indicted. For the Black Panthers to be screaming this sort of crap should get them some real slammer time. If the Oathkeepers are on their way,the Black panthers might be turned into PANTHER Pi$$,and what is left of them will float down the sewers where they deserve to be.

  35. “Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the lord-
He is tramping out the vintage where the GRAPES of wrath are stored.”

G’nite all …………have a great day tomorrow! Thanks again Bob!

  36. Old Sailor,
I agree completely with your assessment re. the blacks and their behavior in Ferguson. It is sickening to see all of those people out on the streets night after night, and it shows that they are not industrious or desirous of being worthwhile citizens. Enough already – enough. I fear that this is going to go on for some time in one form or another. The judicial process will drag on and on, and there will be one excuse after another to continue taking to the streets. So many have the attitude that the world owes them a living.
