After listening to Fox last night, I am extremely perturbed over their insistence that this election is going to be very close. Fox has bought into the same line as the rest of the media. Why? I think it is “insurance” – They don’t want to stand out against the rest of the networks. Even Hannity is extremely cautious. Perhaps it is Saudi influence?
One poll shows a dead heat of 47 for each Romney and Obama. Hey, wait!
47 + 47 = 94. Where is the remaining 6%? (100% less 94% = 6%) Few even comment on that little factor. Presumably the 6% is for either undecideds, or those not willing to commit. History has shown that this group mostly will vote against the incumbent. Do the math. If 80% of the 6%, or nearly 5% go for Romney, 47 + 5 = 52 Romney and 48 for Obama.
There are, of course, other polls which show like 48 and 48. There the remaining 4% is a smaller figure, but would still work out in Romney’s favor.
It is going to be delightful to see how the talking heads at Fox try to spin the results tomorrow night.
Beck did have a very chilling program on TV’s Blaze (Dish channel 212) last night re. “The Machine” and how the Dems have cheated in elections for decades and consider it par for the course. The Dems have this down to a science and, being devoid of conscience, consider stealing elections as the only way to go. Voter theft is rampant in this country and takes many shapes and forms. The Dems’ theory is that elections are meant to be “won”, regardless of how it is done, by hook or crook.

Yesterday I chose to watch an old WWII movie, “Run Silent, Run Deep”, about submarine battles in the Pacific. My, I never realized what confined quarters the men have to occupy for such long periods of time and under such perilous conditions. There certainly would be no room or place for sexual deviates to destroy the cohesiveness required in battle conditions.
Bummer has done his work well in attempting to destroy the effectiveness of our military in more ways than one. If he should be reelected – God forbid – there will be no end to what he intends to do unless Congress gets off of its rear end and decides to intervene. In the meantime untold damage has been done.

You need to keep in mind that a movie is just that. It may or may not accurately portray the Submarine Service which existed during WW2. There was a few subs that were LOST in battle with the Japanese. There is little mention of our losses. You are however quite right otherwise. Even female sailors were NOT ALLOWED in the Submarine Service until recently. Now females can be assigned after training to a submarine. I personally believe that females in ANY military combatant role is a very sad situation which again reflects the insane reasoning of our alleged military planners. Even in a submerged submarine there are combat casualty situations to which QUICK,DECISIVE,ACTION IS NECESSARY……….such casuslties include heavy lifting,and sheer male strength is required,as in the case of shoring strained bulkheads resulting from battle damage. You MUST KNOW WHAT TO DO ON AN IMMEDIATE BASIS otherwise the ship could flood and sink with all hands. There is not time to wait while the female and male crewmember are pursuing another matter. It hasn’t worked on SURFACE ships and Delores’s son has told me that it has resulted in the same exact sort of circumstances as it did on the surface ships.(a high percentage of pregnancies). Everybody seems to think that the tour of duty is really a cruise on a submerged LOVE BOAT. Delores’s son retired from 20 years in the Submarine Service in 2008. He has sailed on both BOOMERS,and on FAST TACS. He made it to E-6. He said that the females being allowed on submarines has driven a hell of a lot of very qualified PETTY OFFICERS out of the Sub Service,and many out of the Navy entirely.
Thanks, OldSailor, for your comments. While I was watching the movie my thoughts were on you veterans, and I was wondering what your impressions would have been. The movie was on TCM with no ads. It was immensely exciting and gave me a good idea of what dangers exist and what life would be like, even though it was drama. It also gave one a good example of “chain of command”.
Wow, I can see where females on subs would be quite a distraction. There seems to be very little space just for ordinary living. Bunks are very close, and there is little elbow room. At one point one sailor was left up on deck accidently and it was quite difficult to get him down under, as the sub was then under attack. It gave one a good idea of the drills they performed in order to be able to fire torpedoes speedily, etc. There had to be intense cooperation among the hands, and females, or perverts, could be a strong deterrent to safety.
Instead of jobs we have an expencive obama care. Instead of jobs we have higher taxes that will be piled on top of obama care. Instead of jobs we have multipal costly regulations all of these things are job replacement. Great choice American voters. You voted us into a great depression.
