“Police put kibosh on disguised tea party protester”
“A man dressed in all black and a hood or mask came to the side of the stage by the old county courthouse while a person spoke and held up a sign reading, “Prosperity = White Supremacy.”
The crowd didn’t fancy the man’s sign and cast a round of boos in his direction. Pretty soon, three Greensboro police officers escorted the man away from the protest.
According to arrest reports, Daniel Emerson Stainkamp, 22, of 1602 West End Place in Greensboro was charged with wearing a mask or hood on public property, resisting a public officer, carrying a sign larger than allowed by a local ordinance, and interfering with the protest.”

My pleasure. History has important lessons, and sometimes when we look back at an event we recognize that it wasn’t a simple right and wrong as it seemed at the time. Many felt Oliver North was a patriot, fighting for freedom and against the Evil Empire. The Dems demonized him, needless to say. In my very humble opinion:
I think Oliver North did the wrong thing (making a deal with the Iranians), for the right reason (prevent obviously aggressive soviet expansion in our backyard), while working with immoral people, whom were fighting against immoral people. The Dems were using the Catholic Church and Nuns (generally moral group), for the wrong reason (helping the Soviet expand and destabilize central america), while generally backing immoral sandistas.
I’m starting to shake my head just remembering how messed up the whole thing really was…..but remember we in the middle of a very deep cold war.
I for one appreciate Reagan’s and Oliver Norths attempt to protect the United States. Neither had any personal or financial gain from what they did, I do believe they did it for Country, as they had great risk and little personal benefit at stake. I doubt many Americans can look back and deny that they felt they were doing this to protect us.

New poll bad news for Sen. Harry Reid

Let’s see. I’m supposed to believe that Reid has 37% of the vote in Nevada.
Let’s do a reality check with data from on-the-ground reports.
10,000 rallied against Reid; 100 rallied for Reid.
So out of 10,100 “polled” voters, Reid gets about 1%. (Hope I did that math right.)
Okay, so maybe not all 10,000 can vote, BUT probably, at least 10% (10) of Reid’s ralliers were on his payroll, so they are not a true reflection of Nevada’s voters, either.
That evens everything out to . . . about 1%.
Okay, even if only half of the 10,000 can vote, we’re still talking 2% for Reid.
So, what is that poll talking about?
Just so we all understand what happened…….

Hi, Pete (9:59) – I also appreciate your insight with respect to Col. Oliver North. We sat glued in front of the TV from day to day while he testified before Congress and endured all of the insults from the members. It was one of the saddest periods of American history, in my opinion. I felt then that Col. North would rise above the insults and come through with flying colors, and he has. It took some time, but he is a real American hero, and always has been.

I think it is remarkable that within a week of Tiger Woods crashing his Escalade, the press found every woman with whom Tiger has had an affair in the last few years, with photos, text messages, recorded phone calls, etc.
And, they not only know the cause of the family fight, but they even know it was a wedge from his golf bag that his wife used to break out the windows in the Escalade, not only that, they know which wedge! And each and every day, they give America more updates on his sex-rehab stay, his wife’s plans for divorce, and his plans to return to the pro-golf circuit.
Obama has been in office for over a year now, and this same press still cannot locate Obama’s official birth certificate, or any of his papers while in college, or how he paid for a Harvard education, or which counry issued his visa to travel to Pakistan in the 1980s as Barry Soetoro and even Michelle Obama’s Princeton thesis on racism. It just can’t be found.
Yet the public still trusts that same press to give them the whole truth . . . Truly remarkable!

I don’t think Obama was ever playing with a full deck, notice he artfully dodged the drug taking controversy during the election cycle by saying he did drugs and his other blah, blah. I am not really stupid, maybe dumb, but not stupid. I know that seperation of church and state is NOT part of the Constitution. It was a single line in a letter Jefferson wrote describing that a wall should seperation churches to keep the government out. Not the other way around.

However, am not sure that is true for typing because the brain has to do two things at once; organize the thought process and then, tell the fingers to record it. We have a president loath to acknowledge American exceptionalism. Indeed, the weight of the evidence suggests that our chief executive, through both word and deed and with malice aforethought, seeks to undermine – if not dismantle – that exceptionalism. At one time we properly called such activity anti-American, seditious, or even – under certain circumstances – treasonous. Today we call it “progressive.”
Abraham Lincoln – also from the Prairie State – perhaps forecast his presidential progeny when he observed: “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”
Liberals In Congress, President Obama And His Stable Of Cracked Czars And Policy Advisers:
We are destroying ourselves. Of course, by “we” I mean those egalitarian ideologues who presently control the reins of government: liberals in Congress, President Obama and his stable of cracked czars and policy advisers. Their demonstrated antipathy toward America’s uniquely grand place among world nations is unambiguous.
Consider comments made recently by John “forced abortion” Holdren, Obama’s science czar, to students at the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In a rallying cry that could only be mustered by a true patriot, Holdren proclaimed: “[America] can’t expect to be number one in everything indefinitely.” (Self-fulfilling prophecy, anyone? Go team! That’ll sure fire ‘em-up before they hit the field.)
But what’s most outrageous is the demonstrable reality that Obama’s legislative agenda is intentionally designed to do just that – to ensure that America devolves to the lowest common denominator, lining up as but another “also-ran” in today’s neo-Marxist, internationalist horse race.
In addition to his humiliating world apology tour, the president recently gave us a sneak peek into this egalitarian mindset while preaching to the choir at his April 12 Nuclear Security Summit: “Whether we like it or not, we (the United States) remain a dominant military superpower,” he said.
“Whether we like it or not”? That Obama would even preface recognition of America’s precarious role as the “last remaining superpower” with “like it or not” betrays his fixed membership among the camp of self-loathing “or nots.”
I’ve been reluctant to climb aboard the “Obama wants to destroy America” conspiracy train. I’m no longer reticent to do so. As Newt Gingrich recently observed, we know this administration to be “far and away the most radical administration in American history.”
Although he may not seek to destroy America outright, we can only conclude – based upon his grossly irrational and irresponsible governance – that Obama remains determined to destroy America both as we know her and as our Founding Fathers intended her.
It’s our own fault, really (by “our” I mean “you” if you voted for him). We should have taken this radical ideologue at his radical word.
Remember? During his Inaugural Address, Obama promised to “begin again the work of remaking America.” That’s “remake” America, not “improve” America or even “reform” America. It has always been this man’s “hope” to “change” our nation by wiping clean the slate – “remaking” an America in his own secular-humanist, neo-Marxist self-image.

And that’s exactly what he’s doing. Obama has embarked upon the most brazen, slash-and-burn socialist restructuring scheme in our nation’s history. This president is many things, but he’s not stupid. He knows full well that his massive government takeover of health care, coupled with his global warmist “cap-and-trade” tax scheme – and his broader tax-and-spend-during-deep-recession game of economic Russian roulette – are UNDENIABLY UNSUSTAINABLE.
Not only will these policies bring down the private insurance industry (part of the plan), they will – if let stand – bring down the whole of private industry, crashing our entire free-market system (again, part of the plan).
It’s already happening. AT&T, Verizon, Deere and Caterpillar are but the first among an anticipated cavalcade of major corporations expecting to suffer a multi-billion dollar bloodbath at the hands of Obamacare – merely one of the president’s radically sweeping, game-changing initiatives. Unfortunately, there are many, many, many that will choose to ignore the evidence before them, or simply don’t want to believe it. In 1954 the House of Representatives investigated tax free foundations to see what justified their being excused from paying taxes that the common citizen is obliged to pay.
It was reported to this investigating committee that the reason for this tax exemption was so that these foundations could use their grant making powers to “alter”(CHANGE) life in the US so that it could be merged with the Soviet Union. This is TREASON!
Anyone with an IQ above the single digits with his eyes open can see that this is precisely what has been happening in this country for more than half a century.
This is the “CHANGE” the Mao-Tse-Bama and liberals are alluding to. This is their agenda.
The USSR Constitution provides that: “the citizen of the USSR is entitled to FREE MEDICAL SERVICE”. That is the goal of Obama-care. He will not rest until this is achieved. That is his purpose.

This is for Jbjd… Although I know Military Law and the International Treaties it must also stay consistent with, I am not a Lawyer.. I would like to turn this over to you to evaluate. You did a good job the other day with what you presented, but as I said.. There is more to Military Law than just the UCMJ when it comes to a Courts-Martial of this caliber. The Lt. Col. is a dually Commissioned Military Officer, and it is not only his job, but his duty to disobey orders he thinks might be unconstitutional as we discussed yesterday or the day before about Military Oaths.
MCM 14.c(2)(b) Sub (2),(a.i,ii) Inference of Lawfullness.
i. An order requiring the performance of a military duty or act may be inferred to be lawful and is disobeyed at the peril of a subordinate. The inference does not apply to a patently illegal order, such as one that directs the commission of a crime.
ii. Determination of Lawfulness.
The lawfulness of an order is a question of law to be determined by a Military Judge.
Ahh…Different Rule, however this is also a light at the end of the tunnel so to speak.. First and foremost, Military Law is also subject to and subservient to international treaties such the Geneva Conventions, and the international Laws of War… Bare with me, this may twist your brains a bit…
Under the Geneva Conventions, any military member found to be operating under an illegitimate/unlawful Leadership on a field of war will be subject to prosecution as a War Criminal. As we know, via the Nuremberg trials… Ignorance of an Unlawful order is not an excuse, justification, or reason to carry it out. You will be tried, and you will most likely be executed for doing so if found guilty of the offence.
Therefore under (i) The inference dose not apply to a patently illegal order, such as one that directs the commission of a crime.
Fact of redress, until there is a clear cut answer as to the eligibility issue of a lawful Commander in Chief directing the US Military, all military members are being ordered into the commission of crimes (war Crimes) as outlined in the Geneva Conventions and the international Laws of War.
Ergo, the law of Command responsibility, sometimes referred to as the Yamashita standard or the Medina standard, is the doctrine of hierarchical accountability in cases of war crimes:
Codification:
The first international treaty to comprehensively codify the doctrine of command responsibility was the Additional Protocol I (“AP I”) of 1977 to the Geneva Conventions of 1949.
Article 86(2) states that: the fact that a breach of the Conventions or of this Protocol was committed by a subordinate does not absolve his superiors from …responsibility … if they knew, or had information which should have enabled them to conclude in the circumstances at the time, that he was committing or about to commit such a breach and if they did not take all feasible measures within their power to prevent or repress the breach.
Article 87 obliges a commander to “prevent and, where necessary, to suppress and report to competent authorities” any violation of the Conventions and of AP I.
In Article 86(2) for the first time a provision would “explicitly address the knowledge factor of command responsibility.
Definitions:
In the discussion regarding “command responsibility” the term “command” can be defined as
A De jure (legal) command, which can be both military and civilian. The determining factor here is not rank but subordination.
Four structures are identified:
Policy command: heads of state, high-ranking government officials, monarchs
Strategic command: War Cabinet, Joint Chiefs of Staff
Operational command: military leadership; in Yamashita it was established that operational command responsibility cannot be ceded for the purpose of the doctrine of command responsibility – operational commanders must exercise the full potential of their authority to prevent war crimes, failure to supervise subordinates or non-assertive orders don’t exonerate the commander.
Tactical command: direct command over troops on the ground
International case law has developed two special types of “de jure commanders.”
Prisoners-of-war (POW) camp commanders: the ICTY established in Aleskovski that POW camp commanders are entrusted with the welfare of all prisoners, and subordination in this case is irrelevant.
Executive commanders: supreme governing authority in the occupied territory – subordination is again irrelevant, their responsibility is the welfare of the population in the territory under their control, as established in the High Command and Hostages cases after World War II.
De facto (factual) command, which specifies effective control, as opposed to formal rank. This needs a superior-subordinate relationship. Indicia are:
Capacity to issue orders.
Power of influence: influence is recognized as a source of authority in the Ministries case before the US military Tribunal after World War II.
Evidence stemming from distribution of tasks: the ICTY has established the Nikolic test – superior status is deduced from analysis of distribution of tasks within the unit, it applies both to operational and POW camp commanders.
Additional Protocol I and the Statutes of the ICTY, the ICTR, and the ICC makes prevention or prosecution of crimes mandatory.

Likewise under (ii) The lawfulness of an order is a question of law to be determined by a Military Judge. This means that although the Military Judge will not address the lawful/unlawfulness of O to be President or CINC as stated in the Courts-Martial. He will never-the-less need to have O’s vital documents read into the record as evidence in order to make a decision on the lawfulness of the orders to have final word on the Courts-Martial. Thus in order for him to make a decision under the UCMJ, he will also have to take into account the provisions of the Geneva Conventions and the internal laws of war
If the CINC refuses to grant those vital documents, then the Military Judge will have no choice than exonerate. Likewise, although the Military Judge can not press the issue of discerning the legitimacy should those vital documents show the CINC not to be a Natural Born Citizen… He will by law, none-the-less have to pass those documents off to the Civilian authority over the military for any legal recourse or action. Which would be the Secretary of Defense, and the Secretary of State at the bare minium.

Separation of Church and State was introduced in 1947 by Justice Hugo Black and an activist Supreme Court which gave an absolute definition of the First Amendment Establishment Clause in Everson v. Board of Education, 330 U.S. 18 that went far beyond the original intent of the Framers. Without legal precedents to support its decision, the Court reversed 150 years of Constitutional precedent with a ruling that created a radical disassociation between religion and the State. Black used a quotation written by Thomas Jefferson in a private letter fourteen years after the First Amendment was ratified in 1789 to interpret the Constitution. If the Court wanted to use private writings, they could have introduced the private letters of other Founders to give context to the original intent and meaning of the Constitution which would have debunked their ruling.
The Founders incorporated Christianity and its principle biblical teachings into their laws, governing bodies, state charters and state constitutions as the authority for a moral and civilized society. The tradition of designating an official day of prayer began with the Continental Congress in 1775. The First National Proclamation of Thanksgiving was given by the Continental Congress in 1777. President George Washington issued a National Day of Thanksgiving Proclamation on October 3, 1789 and then again in 1795.
Yet progressive judges today would have Americans believe that the Founders acted unconstitutionally and violated the very document they had just created to govern the United States.

Lawsuits and no STANDING.
I bet if Tim Turner or a Sovereign American filed a Lawsuit about the USURPING Prez and US CORPORATION CEO it would not be dismissed for STANDING.
We have been told through official channels that charges against LTC Lakin will be handed down shortly–perhaps as early as tomorrow.
We have not reached our goal to raise $50,000 to hire civilian counsel to represent LTC Lakin, and, confidentially, are only about half way there.
Terry needs civilian counsel NOW and not just anyonesomeone who is both a proven trial lawyer and a proven conservative who will champion both Terry and our cause to uphold the Constitutions requirement that only natural born citizens hold the highest office in the land.

A curious thing happened in the Supreme Court budget hearing yesterday. Rep. Joe Serrano went on a long monologue about ‘diversity’ in the court and even said he would be glad when the day came, that a Puerto Rican could be president…to which Thomas replied that the court was avoiding that question. Nervous laughter ensues and the topic is quickly dropped. I’d like to know what my fellow FReepers think of the exchange.
It happens around the 1:13-1:14:10 mark in the video. It would be great if someone could isolate that exchange and put it on YouTube so everyone could hear it without sitting through the entire hearing.

All one has to do to think that the founders had NO PROBLEM WITH RELIGION in gov’t is look at how they conducted themsleves in gov’t and some of it still happens today.
They held prayer before any work was done.
They refered to GOD in most all their works including the COnstitutions.
They had chapels in The Capitol and other palces.
They placed God in our money.
They gave prefential treatment to churches, synagogue’s etc.
They out in place Religious Holidays and honored them.
Thanksgiving is a day to give Thanks to GOD ALMIGHTY which is an American Holiday and all you have to do is read G Washington’s Thanksgiving Day Proclamation to know they were giving Thanks to God….not Indians or Turkeys.

Separation of church and states was a ONE WAY AMMENDMENT to Limit Gov’t from interfering or picking Religion.
What is happening today is TOTAL opposite/contrary to what the Spearation of Church & Sate was intended to do. They actually are using the power of gov’t to interfere in religion, make laws of religion and interfering with a free practice of religion.
It is an attack on religion and the Constitution.

I really think Obama and his minions thought his Eligibility Issue would disappear once he took the throne.
I will also add that I think they are in panic mode that this Issue has swelled to the proportions it has.
Now we have a SCOTUS member talking publically about it.
It took 2 young adults with a camera to bring down ACORN when all the “powerful” failed. My guess is it could be a kid who is a Hacker that will get Obambi’s info from Occidental (forget getting the Vault BC from Hawaii because it does NOT exist).
Supreme Court Jude Clarence Thomas needs to be flooded with letters asking hm to clarify his comments regarding the court’s avoidance of the eligibility issue. I mean, these people are supposed to be the final arbiters in defense of the Constitution, right? What happens when not even the Supreme Court is willing to defend Article II, Section I, Clause 5?
This looks really bad when even a presumed strict constitutionalist such as Judge Thomas is not willing to interpret the Constitution as it pertains to presidential eligibility. Wow, we are in a bad place in our country. Flood him with letters. Hold him to the fire.

It may be he is “avoiding” this question because of the possible LTC Lakin Courts Marshal since his questioning the eligibility of the C-I-C has been “in the news.” He might not want to “compromise” any “ongoing investigation” as well or even be accused of doing that.
IMHO, it would be inappropriate for him to “comment” on this due to the ongoing “public” discussion of this issue and pending court cases. It might be seen as him “rendering” an opinion “before the fact” or trying to influence public opinion.
I think he is wise to “skirt” the issue at this point in time…but, that is JMHO.

Progressive secularists assert that the most prominent Founders were Deists or Unitarians by pointing to broad statements made by Franklin, Washington, Jefferson, John Adams, Madison, and Hamilton as proof they were not Christians. The term deist as defined today is sometimes used synonymously with agnostic and atheist but each has a distinct and different meaning. An atheist believes in the existence of no God. An agnostic is uncertain if there is a God. A deist (as defined during the Founder’s generation) believed in a Supreme Creator of the Universe who was no longer involved in worldly affairs. Those few deists among the Founders believed in God and the principle teachings of the bible, but they were skeptical of the divinity of Jesus Christ and organized religion. While many of the Founders often referred to God with such general terms as Supreme, Being, Almighty, Benefactor, Author and Creator, they acknowledged his active participation in the world through providence, guidance, blessing and protection of the nation. Historical research clearly shows that none of the Founders fit the definition of a deist as that term is used today and they certainly were not atheists or agnostics.
Unitarianism in 1785 in America, like the term deist, was different than what it means today and a failure to account for the historical changes has caused many modern historians to conclude wrongly that Founders associated with early Unitarianism were not Christians. In 1819, the Unitarian doctrine was defined: “In common with other Christians, they confess that He [Jesus] is the Christ, the Son of the Living God; and in one word, they believe all that the writers of the New Testament, particularly the four Evangelists, have stated concerning him.” Theological Dictionary of 1823.
Thomas said they are “evading” the eligibility issue. Not that Thomas is evading BUT the whole court. If they don’t have at least 4 justices to vote to “look at” something they can’t discuss it or make any rulings.
Also if someone doesn’t file an issue to them to decide/rule on they can’t be pro-active, meaning they can’t just meet and discuss events of the day and then decide lets take a look at this or that issue. They can only make rulings on issues brought to them BY OTHERS. They can’t have an opinion on any matters that is not brought to them by a third party PERIOD. It is not the court of random opinions. The can only give opinions/rulings on actions brought before them.
ATTENTION.
Copy and save the list I posted above by JeffM and keep it with you. That list basically says that all those people were religious people in one fashion or another and believed in God the Creator.
Spread this list far and wide so that people learn what most are making sure it is ridiculed and forgotten.
