The Homeland Security Policy Institute is a bi-partisan think tank with conservatives and liberals at Geo. Washington U. It’s not a jihadist front organization like some others.
One of its stated goals is to have a
realistic public discussion of the threats the nation faces and constructive engagement of the American public in preparedness and response efforts.
I agree, so let’s get started.
When a Muslim serviceman says Muslims have the right and duty to kill other service members, he should court-martialed. When an officer starts calling enlisted soldiers murderers, he should court-martialed. When a military doctor says his patients are the enemy, he should be court-martialed.
If Hasan had said women should be raped, blacks should be enslaved and gays should be killed, he would have rightly been brought up on charges immediately. But because he “only” said that Muslims are justified in killing American soldiers, he was not charged.
That’s because a large portion of the Democrat Party agrees with him. Certainly the president’s pals Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright do, for example.
This is also the ultimate logical extension of the divide-and conquer Grievance Group/Identity Politics of the Left.
And also because Political Correctness has made it all but impossible to remove murderous traitors. Hasan committed punishable offenses long before he pulled the trigger but was given a pass. Can you imagine the grief any CO would have gotten for trying to remove him? That CO would be branded a troublemaker and would put a blot on his own career.
So instead we settle for the grief of those families whom he robbed of a loved one. We’re willing to pay that price, but not the price of preventing this outrage.
Political Correctness kills. It is fundamentally un- and anti-American, because it poses two sets of standards instead of “Equal Justice Under Law”. It’s almost fitting that the president squeezed in his mention of Ft. Hood at a conference focused on American Indian issues. Nothing against Indians, but the president seemed very engaged by the Group Politics and His Precious Bureaucracy, while enemy action at Ft. Hood was treated as a mere afterthought.
This all certainly gives credence to those who say the Rules of Engagement overseas are endangering American troops.
Because the Rules of Engagement here at home certainly are.

Very well written post. I read it through twice, and I can find nothing that I would change or add to. You reflect much of my belief in the Hasan matter. But I havn’t changed my mind about who I blame for this. It is largely people who are too busy enjoying their baloney to even turn their heads, and look around them to see what dangers are standing in PLAIN sight. Hasan allegedly was a ticking time bomb for a very long time. His co workers at WRH should have seen the signals that he was sending all the time. Body, and spoken language have always been instruments for assessing the level of hidden anger. All shrinks have the ability to look and talk with a person,and quickly recognise the symptoms. My God the simple fact that he adopted the Islamic beliefs should have raised some eyebrows. Instead they didn’t want to get involved, and sent the ticking bomb somewhere else to explode. This has been a standard practice in the US Navy for a very long time. Every service encounters potential psychs from time to time. Until the shrinks decide to do the job that they are there to do we will without a doubt continue to witness such detonations of insanity.

Munley, who had been trained in active-response tactics, rushed into the building and confronted the shooter as he was turning a corner, Cone said.
“It was an amazing and an aggressive performance by this police officer,” Cone said.
Munley was only a few feet from crazed Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan when she opened fire.
Wounded in the exchange of gunfire, Munley was reported in stable condition at a local hospital.
The hero cop spent Thursday night phoning fellow officers to let them know she was fine and to find out about casualties in the attack – the deadliest ever on a military base in the U.S., Cone said.
Cone said Munley’s aggressive response training taught her that “if you act aggressively to take out a shooter you will have less fatalities.”

not sure if you’ve been following this trial in Italy or not. It’s quite a story. You may be interested in this podcast – interview with Tarpley – discussing the trial and recent guilty verdict of 23 CIA agents on trial (in absentia) involved in rendition.
The victim of the kidnapping is known as Hassan Mustafa Osama Nasr, a Muslim cleric. Is there a connection to the timing of this verdict handed down only a day/two prior to the Ft. Hood massacre. Maybe something, maybe not. I don’t know.
It is a landmark case – the world’s FIRST verdict on CIA’s acts of extraordinary rendition. Tarpley lauds the Italian magistrates for their tenacity in the face of an internal operation launched to defame & discredit them. They didn’t back down. He says it’s a triumph of the rule of law. The trial was held in absentia as these CIA agents are fugitives.
These operations were done under George Tenet and Condalisa Rice. “O” continues these from Bush’s reign and openly says they’re indispensable.

Anyone who has been seriously following the Natural Born Citizenship issue in this last year and a half is by now familiar with the influence of John Jay on the requirements of the President as stated in Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution. Use of the term in 1787 implies some knowledge of its meaning, indeed, see the Law of Nations by Vattel.
There are many fine blogs which have researched and defined the term and significance of ‘NBC’, and the consensus among all of them is that the concept of natural born citizenship is about allegiance. The Commander in Chief must have only one allegiance–to the United States–to prevent foreign influence on and within the highest office in the land.
Thus the President must be born on American soil to two U.S. citizens. A dual or naturalized U.S. citizen cannot be a Natural Born Citizen under the U.S. Constitution.
The Founders imposed this criterion on the office of the Presidency to avoid the following possible outcomes:
hesitancy on military matters effecting the national security
the lack of timely, strategic decision making,
the disarming or weakening of the defenses of America,
weakening of foreign policy, and
the presence of a ‘foreign agenda’ that is evident in daily actions of the Executive.
This is the kind and manifestation of the tyranny that would result from multiple allegiances.
Just spent 10 minutes talking to a staffer about the “natural born” issue and how the country will remain divided and the FRAUD’S approval will continue to decline until the issues is resloved!! He actually listened and did not hang up!!!

I’ve also heard the reports of low-flying aircraft spraying ‘something.’ The official explanation is that they’re spraying ‘disinfectants.’

This is not a more virulent strain of H1N1, nor it is a mutation; it is a bacteria. My guess is that it was introduced to the population either via spraying, or *in the H1N1 vaccine itself!* Many folks in Ukraine have already gotten the H1N1 shot, so this would make complete sense. I think what you may be referring to is that by law, U.S. drugs/vaccines are not approved to be manufactured with Squalene. It is approved in Europe.
Reports were saying that yes, U.S. H1N1 vaccines would indeed be manufactured without the Squalene (thus, complying with the law) however, there were rumors that the Squalene may be added *on site* before your injection.
I’m not sure what you mean ‘with the spraying detected,’ but the article I just quoted above referenced Squalene as a vaccine additive and not anything that was ‘sprayed.’

It read that possibly the vaccine mandated isn’t really the culprit if the intent is meant to do harm and even lend a hand in depopulating our world…….
It suggested that after months pass, another injection could be ‘NEEDED’ and the reaction would kill and linking the two would be hard.
I also read that another way to kill with the vaccine is spray or even add something to our drinking water to send a fatal reaction.
Sounds really sci-fi, but who would have thought we’d even be discussing something like this two years ago??

The vaccine may be ‘Phase I’ with other substances added to make it lethal. I’ll buy that. He also says his thoughts are primarily with the wounded. Fair enough, but what about the family of those who died. I guess since they’re dead, they don’t count.
THIS is the man who will attend to the nation’s dead and wounded and ill. And so anyone who is sitting by now, saying “oh well, the bill might pass tomorrow” think again. When you are ill, wounded, or dying, Obama will pay lip service and nothing more. Is that what you want?

ABC is now doing a “special” on “what is it like being a Muslim American soldier”. Just prior to this segment they went into the expected excuse of “treating soldiers with horrific wounds, etc.” got to the man. So how did that experience force the Major to say “Muslims shouldn’t be killing Muslims”? So he wasn’t an American in his self identification? He was only a Muslim. And in that lies the danger of just what side our current “leader” is truly identified with. Wondering if the psychiatrist had been treating a lot of pedaphiles and succumbed to sympathy with them, acting it out, if ABC would somehow justify that “sympathy” too.

SueK–thanks for asking. My mother has been very sleepy the last couple of days. She only opened her eyes a few times when the health aide was here to give her her bath, wash her hair, change the sheets, etc. So, basically, she slept through the whole thing. Then, she basically slept through the nurse being here, too. The nurse gave her a B12 shot. I expect she will pick up a little more by tomorrow. She did have supper tonight–not so much the main meal, but all her chocolate cake with frosting. She gets what she will eat!

Michelle, the lesson of this for us could also be to see what someone who is not a real NBC is. It states that while Hasan was born in the U.S., his parents were not. The NBC has to do with two generations. It means your parents have to be NBC, then you. This gives the undivided loyalty to a country. I can see this as plain as day, and it’s what he Founders saw too and experienced.
twe-I’m very glad the nurse gave her a B-12 shot, it may take 2-3 days to kick in. I was so sick with pneumonia in Illinois one November after 3 penicillin shots over a month, the doctor gave me a B-12 shot. I did not know how sick I was until that baby kicked in 3 days later. I also had to take the highest potency B-12 vitamins. They are somewhat big– ask the nurse if your Mom can take Liquid Sublingual B-12 taste somewhat neutral. You can get it at the grocery store vitamin aisle.

Curious about the drill….if Homeland Security is involved, there’s no doubt that something is in the works. If it’s just a local drill, it may be perfectly innocent. We used to do a variety of drills; everything from Anthrax to a chemical terrorism event at a hospital, to Cryptosporidium in a local water supply. Maybe this was a planned drill (they’re planned quite a while in advance) but it is curious they’d pick this scenario at this point in time…

Maddie – she worked various shifts, I think. I think she only worked like 3 days (12 hr. shifts) a week or something like that. I know my mother didn’t mind the night shift so bad because my g’ma would be in bed anyway. I know sometimes they would hire another aid to come in while she worked kinda like a sitter.
The put ads on the hospital boards and contacted the Head of Nursing. She was a single lady in her 50’s when they hired her. She stayed 5 tears until my g’ma passed away! She is elderly now herself but we still keep in contact with her.
Everyone, I don’t like to think strange things, but something is not right with all of this at Ft. Hood. I’m not saying that Ft. Hood is doing anything, but the other. None of this really does figure out right. Too many gunshots inside and out of the building and cars suffering extreme gunshot damage. What the heck???? Then the constant sound of gunfire. Well, how long does it take to reload anyway? Yet a lady never heard anyone reloading for over 30 minutes?

If you’ve never been in a firefight, it’s very loud, frightening, and plagued with uncontrollable circumstances.
Now imagine being in a firefight, where you don’t have a weapon. Someone is firing at random, and there’s no where to go. It’s a normal reaction to hunker down, and assume the submissive position, in hopes that it will all end soon, and you won’t be caught with a stray.

Maddie-do you and your folks have a priest, a rabbi or a minister? They really do need to go to the assisted facility for their own safety and yours. I was thinking if the religious person came and explained that it is for their own good they need to go and also you can’t keep this up or they will incapacitate you and the problem will really get compounded.
One of my mothers girlfriends had this problem when her mother got elderly with Alzheimer’s and she had to work. Her Mother would put water on to boil for tea and then forget about it. Great, then the daughter says wait it gets worse. Mom tipples, she also would forget how much she drank. Bombed with Alzheimer’s a winning combination. Compounded with that her Mother was quite the girl in the 1920’s so this woman had like 5 half sisters (all different fathers) who criticized any decision she made for her Mother all sensible, but did nothing. Mom finally was inducted into the home and became very happy there.

Quick story: My ex-fiance, a very talented musician and composer from NYC and his band actually used to back up Tiny Tim when he was in ‘concert.’ I asked if TT was really the way he was portrayed to be and he was. What you see was what you got, I was told. Polite. Sickeningly so. He was also compulsive/obsessive with the hand washing-another person paranoid about germs like Howie Mandel.
When he married Miss Vicki, it was a marriage on paper only; I guess that would come as no surprise. Germs, ya know.

I’m having trouble buying the argument that a major was harassed because of his religion. As big a post as Fort Hood is, a major is still a fairly high ranking officer. If anyone harassed him (who? other doctors of similar rank?), then I think maybe he let them – if it ever happened at all. I say “fishy”.

The Democratic defections are starting to pile up in advance of a vote scheduled for tomorrow on sweeping health reform efforts. (That schedule could slip to Sunday or beyond, if the votes aren’t there.)
According to the National Republican Congressional Committee — which, of course, has an interest in watching this vote particularly closely — 15 House Democrats and counting are saying publicly that they’ll oppose the measure when it reaches a vote.

Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey never put on a circus better than the one being played for your entertainment right now, today (11/06), on Capitol Hill. Pelosi Galore is in a state of screaming rage and panicked desperation, making every bribe and threat she can to get the votes for PelosiCare to pass tomorrow, Saturday.
She knows that if Members can go home for the weekend and get a load of their constituents’ volcanic anger before the vote, her bill is toast. So hundreds of Members are having the Congressional Travel Office hold two flight reservations for them, one for this evening, another for tomorrow night. They are waiting for Steny Hoyer (Pelosi’s Segundo) to complete his count.
Then, if he announces late this afternoon there will be a vote tomorrow, it means he thinks he has enough. If he announces a postponement, it means he doesn’t.
As Jack Kelly says, bullying from a position of weakness isn’t very smart. Trying to threaten people into committing suicide may work for Moslem crazies, but rarely for politicians, even Democrats. It is going to be so much fun watching this slow-motion train wreck.
Michelle–thanks for the sublingual B12 idea. She can’t do that. That’s why she has to get the shot every month. She can’t even hold a thermometer under her tongue. The Parkinson’s and much diminished mental capacity doesn’t allow that. The nurse takes the temp under the arm. I do it with an ear thermometer. When they did the admit to hospice, she wasn’t even going to be given the B12. But, I insisted. The fact that we already had the B12 made it easier for them to agree. The sublingual B12 is a great idea, if that were possible for her. My mother-in-law is in the same situation. The only way her body can get the B12 is to get it in a shot, which she gets once a month. They are inexpensive shots. So, no one really puts up much of a fuss.

Maddie–a live in would be great. But, that live in might have his/her hands full with two people. The hospice people, or visiting nurse associations, also can give you referrals for such things. A visiting nurse, or home health aide, set up can be pricey–about $1000 per month. But, that’s versus a national average of about $5000 a month to go to the assisted living place (numbers are probably different where you are)…unless that gets picked up by Medicare. If all else fails (AND YOU DON’T WANT TO DO THIS IF AT ALL POSSIBLE), you can petition the court to become their legal guardian. Then, you really can force them to go into assisted living. But, this would be an EXTREME LAST RESORT. Do everything you can to not have to resort to this option as you don’t want to have to account to the state for how and when you are spending their money on them. Plus, it’s very difficult to get out of a legal situation like that once you are in it. Try the priest/minister/rabbi option. Try to get a visiting nurse and home health aide and meals on wheels set up. Try a live in.
Then, if your parents won’t listen, and you’ve been very nice about all this, try pitching a tantrum with them. Seriously! If they don’t ever see this side of you, have a real crying jag about how worried you are, how you’ve been trying to help them, how you don’t know what you are going to do, etc, etc. Let them see a side of you, they’ve never seen…or haven’t seen for years. Try to get them concerned for YOUR mental health. Try to get the parental side of them worried enough for you that they start to think they have to do something to help you, something like assisted living or some other option you may want them to try. Anyway, those are some thoughts. They may not be in your site lines yet, but always have a back up plan. God Bless You…I’ll continue to pray.

I remember when I was a little kid, my aunt was taking care of her husband’s elderly parents, she got so sick-exhaustion her doctor yelled at my uncle, what are you trying to do kill this woman? He then put them in a facility to get the round the clock care that they needed. My uncle had no idea how much work my aunt was doing until she collapsed and he had to do it.

you’re correct. The AMA threw the docs under the bus years ago. I heard there’s an AMA convention this weekend in Texas. Evidently a bunch of docs attended – I would bet for the sole purpose to lambast the AMA. Anyway, the docs let their voices be heard.
Thought I’d pass this along – rec’d from my local group of political support. Perhaps something has already been posted to this effect – I’m a bit behind in my reading.

Ranking Member David Dreier (CA) of the Rules Committee made it possible for C-SPAN 2 to have a live feed for the Rules committee hearing this afternoon on Health Care.
From my understanding this is one of the first times, if not the first, that they have had cameras in the committee. Not to mention having a live feed so the American people can watch what is happening.
Every other committee on the Hill OTHER THAN THIS COMMITTEE : The Committee on Rules and The Committee on Standards and Ethics have video feeds while they are in committee hearings at all times.

Gotta love this….at Thursday’s Tea Party Express rally here in my sleepy little Texas town – Mark Williams (one of the speakers) drew attention to the chapter in his book – about exposing the socialist agenda and the present denial to declare the shooting at FT Hood an act of terrorism – folks started yelling “get them out of our military.”
Hey, these salt of the earth people here don’t hold back! Forget political correctness. It’s very refreshing.

My belief, Hassan, acting alone or under direction, joined the military with the full intent of converting returning soldiers against the U.S. – preying on those with stress disorder. This was a deliberate and set goal of infiltration. Ft. Hood was Hassan’s final act, not his first or only act.

Stiff and sore this morning..thanks to all who asked..but nothing broken. The still undiagnosed MS causes ‘foot drag’ where toes get caught. Thank goodness it was only a few steps-I landed in the recycle bin in the garage. How fitting is that? 🙂

I watched a live feed of the rules committee off and on through the night. I think they got done around 2 am but I caught the ending around 5 am on CSPAN2. The microphones were horrible – lots of rooms noise. But once they actually tried to speak into the mics it was better. A real eye-opener to watch how this gets done. At this time, it is a partisan deal. NO republican amendment was allowed. The repubs got to pose their amendment but no one accepted it. There were only a few republicans – I think it was 4 vs 8 democrats in the committee to vote. So, there you have it. Also, some democrats were arguing that the repubs were the same way so boo hoo….. (I am paraphrasing). It was sad. Even so far as to vote down the time to read the bill before voting since there were additions that even at 1 am were not done yet.
You gotta see this! These girls are awesome! Watch our servicemen in the audience; they are enjoying it immensely!

I caught something one of the members of the committee (his name escapes me) said yesterday that really brought it all home for me.
Speaking very “matter of factly” responding to questions from a rep from California (who was in favor of the bill passing) he said, “we have to do something if we’re gonna get this world government thing…”
No one even scoffed or flinched or gasped at his statement. He didn’t even try to cover it up, regroup or redirect.
SO, THEY ALL KNOW THIS IS THE GOAL OF THIS BILL. Dems and Repubs are complicit in the demise of the sovereignty of this country.
It is, and never was about healthcare for the uninsured people.

Everyone has his/her talent to share with others; both you and Sue K are unique in your talents!
I was especially moved by this video for two reasons: 1) It was a much needed shot in the arm after all of those obnoxious pp videos, and 2) The reaction of our servicemen was inspiring; it is so good to see them enjoying the demonstration of athleticism [and our kids are out of shape?] these girls worked so hard to display for them.

I think sometimes people become clouded in their rush to judgement a fair application of Occam’s Rasor is in order. Major Hasan was a timebomb. Political Correctness slowing the follow through of the FBI resulted in a failure of of the act after Major Hasan posted several dangous statements on the internet. Did they not know he bought a FN57 pistol with several magazines? If we examine the facts we have a man alienated in the military culture who grew up in the religion of peace that spreads the faith through violence. The Major treated PTSD soldiers and he and they could not have established any repour. He turned futher to the religion of peace for the relief function. He fights not to go to Astan. He turns to violence in the name of the religion of peace and kills 13 of my fellow soldiers and citizens and wounds another 38 of them. The question simple. Was Major Hasan a time bomb who would have gone off if he were a member of another religion or not religious? Did he see his lone wolf act of terror as jihad much like the Phineas Priesthood in the Chistian Identity Movement? Was Doctor Nasan of any medication that caused him to become psychotic? Lastly, Major Nasan’s brother lives in Jerusalem and did he have any knowlege of this before hand? Could Major Hasan have been a pawn of external actors in this terrible event? The true story may never be revealed, but for now I think he was a sad man disenfranchized in an organization that he thought ran 180 degrees to everthing inside his culture and religion. Please remember those killed and wounded in your prayers.
