There is a breaking story that Colin Powell will endorse Obama. It is hard to believe and if true, Colin Powell is an idiot.
We expected more from Colin Powell. Obviously Powell has not spent the time to learn about the real Barack Obama. Colin Powell has failed his country. Colin Powell, what is your motivation in using such poor judgement?

Colin Powell is a genius, he’s recognized that McCain is an epic flip-flopper who doesn’t know the world and can’t tell that drilling will not solve our energy problems. We need new technology and we need to learn how to conserve energy on a personal level.

“ABC News’ Teddy Davis and David Chalian Report: Gen. Colin Powell told ABC News on Wednesday that he will not be going to the Democratic National Convention, disputing a suggestion made earlier in the day on the Fox News Channel by Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol.
“I do not have time to waste on Bill Kristol’s musings,” Powell told ABC News. “I am not going to the convention. I have made this clear.”
After telling ABC News by phone that he would not be going to the Democratic National Convention, Powell ended the conversation without entertaining any follow-up questions as to whether he would be crossing party lines to endorse Obama.
Citing unnamed people who have “talked directly to the Obama campaign,” Kristol told the Fox News Channel on Wednesday that “Colin Powell will endorse Senator Obama and he may well give a speech to the Democratic convention explaining his endorsement of Obama.”
When asked about Kristol’s suggestion that Powell might attend the Democratic National Convention, former Reagan White House Chief of Staff and Powell confidante Ken Duberstein took a swipe at Kristol.
“Consider the source,” said Duberstein, referring to Kristol who once served as a top aide to Vice President Dan Quayle. “He was the person who advertised himself as Dan Quayle’s brain. Colin Powell has no plans to attend either convention.”
While Powell was emphatic about his intention not to attend the Democratic National Convention, his endorsement in the presidential race remains an open question.”
I have to say, if he endorses BO, I will be heart broken.
we have learned that endorsements don’t mean diddly…no matter who or for whom. …these endorsing beta males have little to contribute. colin powell has seemed to be a decent man but he was castrated years ago by bush-cheney and rumsfeld and he has yet to grow his gonads back…perfect for barack.
I have always respected and admired Colin Powell. If he would have run for President, I would have voted for him. But, I have no respect, or admiration for Barack Obama. Obama’s 20 year associations with extremely sleezy people … Rezko, Farakan, Wright, Pfleiger, Ayers, Moss, Ludacris, etc., as well as his thin resume, his socialist leanings, and lack of substance, makes him a very poor choice for President of the United States. I sincerely hope that Colin Powell doesn’t endorse Obama. In the final analysis, it would show that Powell lacks the judgemnet and integrity we all gave him credit for.
As a Colin Powell fan, I went to one of his book signings years ago. At one point when I was in line, I noticed that a person ahead of me called out his name and made the “power sign”. Colin Powell acknowledged it and returned the “power sign” back to him. I always felt a little uncertain about him from that time on.

Domestic drill will take some time to get on the market but it will bring down gas prices and it will just about bring down the price of everything else because oil is used in the production of so many things its amazing.
Also when this new techonolgy comes along how many people are going to be able to afford it right off the bat? Not many. So it is going to be a long and slow process. So why not drill and get the oil we can that can help us while the technology is being developed and comes in at a reasonable cost that all Americans can afford?
You have drank the kool-aid and will not open your mind to critical thinking.
As for Colin Powell, this will be the biggest mistake of his life if he endorces Obama. He will not get any republicans to vote for Obama and will forever turn his back on the party that is for the military.

Same here. Only I was very impressed by him during this book signing. Had he been a presidential candidate, on his military record, he would have won me over.

If you honestly think dupont, wal mart, k-mart, cisco, coke, pepsi, Bud, colgate, hasbro, fed-ex, dell, micro soft, general mills, ford, Gm and any other big and major corporation is going to reduce there prices because oil prices drop your a bigger moron than anyone else i have ever meet. Maybe you should read all independent economics and you might finally wake up. Most and almost all have stated that it will take a year or to for consumer products to stabilize but will probably never see a drop in prices.
I have generally held general Colin Powell in high regard in the past. I would be very disappointed in his judgement if he did not support John McCain over Barack Obama. The only common characteristic that he shares with Obama is race . Unless Colin has taken a sharp turn to the left, he and John McCain would certainly seem to be more on the same page. However as strange as this years campaigns have gone, seeing how the media is trying to give the election to Obama, even though a McCain presidency would be the intelligent choice. Too many voters make their choices based on emotion rather than common sense or logic (intelligence).

Ahh Powell has always had pretty dumb political views. And now its apparent that like many others he choosing one candidate because of racial reasons. Only a black president can fix racial devide…what nonsense.
