Let me be perfectly clear.
I am anti Confederacy, anti slavery, and especially anti stupid.
I am pro Constitution and rule of law.
I was born and raised in North Carolina, the state that was forced to join the Confederacy, with some of the highest casualties.
My great great grandfather carried a minnie ball in his leg the rest of his life.
He was likely forced to fight for the south, may have switched sides and is reported to have worked in the Lincoln White House (still trying to confirm).
If a statue is removed through legislative, legal means, so be it (although the damage to history may be the greater of evils).
Toppling a statue via bullying, thuggery, force, as in in Nazi Germany, is not ok and should not be permitted.
This sends the wrong message to our youth and others, just like Nazi Germany.

Yes, slavery was wrong however, many blacks were selling their own people and the slave trade flourished.

……….I learned that because I have voted with ABSENTEE ballots I am being investigated. The investigators (two) came to my home, invited themselves in and instructed me to sit down ( I was already sitting down). I asked them why they wanted to talk to me. They explained that because I have voted since 2008 using an absentee ballot that they needed to determine the validity of my reasons. I asked one of them if he had ever heard of something called the Constitution? For anyone to come into my home and question me as to why I choose to vote in the way I do is against my Constitutional rights. I nonetheless allowed them to see the roomful of medical aids, and ambulatory devices……in addition they had to have seen the walker I was using when I opened the door to them. I politely asked both of them to leave, and advised them that I would be talking with an attorney about their visit. They left quietly. I think this is something being done at a local or state level. I also know that it is complete bullsh-t. That was about 11:00AM, and I am still POd. I am waiting for a callback from our local Republican Party HQ. I have a bone to pick with them…….that is if they are behind this GD home invasion.

,,……….it is now 5:15 PM and the local GOP office has not returned my call. I intend to vote in November once again with ABSENTEE BALLOT. I told them this today. I can barely make the trip to the bathroom let alone walk 200 or 300 feet from some SCHOOL PARKING LOT to cast a vote. I would bet that the LOCAL DEMOCRATS would even find a way to bring a voting machine to me. HAR HAR I attended high school with our mayor. He was a pain in the A$$ in high school, and is still a PAIN IN THE A$$…….but so far no DEMOCRATIC THUGS have shown up on my doorstep. At least nobody who has identified themselves as such. We shall see !!!!! I still have a couple of living lifelong friends who still have connections at our Superior Court.

………Mr. Bolton has chosen to publish a book regarding his life at the White House. This is all well, and good. However when you divulge ANY FORM of classified material you have broken the law. In this regard Mr. Bolton has no greater privilege than anyone else. He has voluntarily chosen to state some of the actual discussions between him and President Trump. Such discussions are always classified, and not intended for the ears of the public. As an ambassador Mr. Bolton was, and is fully aware of this. In some discussions he and Trump discussed foreign policy……..which is also classified. While 200,000 of the books are already at the booksellers, I see no reason why the President cannot write an executive order which banns the sale of Bolton’s book. This action would at least stop him from profiting from the book. This would be a fair exchange.!!!! Otherwise he should face prosecution regarding any, and all breaches of the Federal government’s Secrecy Laws. If he published without a clearance from the proper authorities he is LIABLE in that circumstance. To a similar level of liability is the publishing house which printed it.

When this happens the perpetrator’s life is largely RUINED. Many are too stupid to understand this. They will understand it after they are released from custody, and begin looking for a job. Very few potential employers will ever take a chance by hiring a convicted felon. Ex convicts have a stigma glued to them which is visible to all human resource operators. This is known as a RAP SHEET. It stays active for the life of the perpetrator. Permanent record. Ex cons often end up shoveling manure for pennies if he/she is lucky.
