Patrick Fitzgerald, Justice Department corruption, Obama protected before and after 2008 election

Judicial Watch assessment of the Rod Blagojevich trial.

“If you read the press coverage of this verdict, it is clear that public reaction to the verdict is nearly universal: “One count? That’s it!? Is this a joke?”

No, it’s no joke. And, truthfully, this is the result I expected after the government wrapped up its case. It looked like the prosecution’s case was distorted in order to protect President Obama, Rahm Emanuel and Valerie Jarrett. It’s that simple.”
“It looked to me that the trial was turning into a political nightmare for the Obama White House. And this may explain why the prosecution shut their case down a month early.”
“Let’s hope prosecutors get it right this time. I suspect that Eric Holder’s politicized Justice Department interfered with the investigation conducted by the reputedly independent U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald.”

Judicial Watch makes some good points. They are certainly correct about Holder and Fitzgerald. However, as reported here for many months, Blagojevich should have been arrested many months earlier and this trial is about Chicago corruption involving Blagojevich, Rezko and Obama going back to at least 2002.

From Citizen Wells July 15, 2010

“Patrick Fitzgerald was aware of Blagojevich’s corruption in 2003

“Pamela Meyer Davis had been trying to win approval from a state health planning board for an expansion of Edward Hospital, the facility she runs in a Chicago suburb, but she realized that the only way to prevail was to retain a politically connected construction company and a specific investment house.

Instead of succumbing to those demands, she went to the FBI and U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald in late 2003 and agreed to secretly record conversations about the project.””

Before the 2008 election, before the alleged selling of the senate seat, CBS 2 Chicago reported the following on September 24, 2008.

“A source tells CBS 2 News Wednesday night that a team of federal agents believes it has the evidence needed to indict Governor Rod Blagojevich.

Investigators believe they’ve established solid evidence of fraud and conspiracy.

However, they are not the ones who make the decision to prosecute. It’s up to U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and the Justice Department in Washington.”

http://cbs2chicago.com/local/governor.blagojevich.indict.2.825033.html

Have any of the big media players pointed this out? Blagojevich was convicted on one count of lying to the FBI in 2005. At the absolute latest they had this nailed down by the Tony Rezko trial in early 2008.

From the Blagojevich indictment.

“On or about March 16, 2005, in Chicago, in the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division,

ROD BLAGOJEVICH,

defendant herein, did knowingly and willfully make materially false, fictitious and fraudulent statements and representations in a matter within the jurisdiction of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, an agency within the executive branch of the Government of the United States, when ROD BLAGOJEVICH,

interviewed by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the presence of his counsel, stated in sum and substance that:
Since the time that he became governor,
(i)
ROD BLAGOJEVICH maintains a separation or firewall between politics and state business; and
(ii)
ROD BLAGOJEVICH does not track, or want to know, who contributes to him or how much they are contributing to him;

Whereas, in truth and in fact, as ROD BLAGOJEVICH then well knew, these statements were false;
In violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1001(a)(2).”
Once again I present this video which is damning for Patrick Fitzgerald.

  1. To see what is going on here is like taking a cake walk in the park. It is obvious. The video is very telling. The date of the press conference is proof in the pudding. It was contrived. We are not stupid.
Where is Rezko? We don’t even need to wonder, do we.

    ~ btw, Paddy Boy,
“Misprision of felony” is still an offense under United States federal law after being codified in 1909 under 18 U.S.C. § 4:

“Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.” This offense, however, requires active concealment of a known felony rather than merely failing to report it.

Perhaps Patrick Fitzgerald is claiming the 5th in his own mind, so its all good.

  4. The usurper lied to the FBI too. Why do they find Blago guilty of that and not look into the usurper’s involvement?

  5. Fitzgerald is definitely trying to cover up for the usurper. What kind of law enforcement is that? Covering up for criminals. Bo should be charged as well as the others. He probably played a major part in the corruption. I am sure that Blago didn’t act alone.

  6. Get ready. Freedom of speech is going up against freedom of religion. Obama sided with the Muslims at the UN in 2009 helping them write and pass an atrocious anti-defamation law which protected only Islam. 11. Americans of Japanese descent were treated terribly in the early days of the War and throughout the War-it has taken decades for injustices to be reconciled if that is even possible.
    http://www.blackpast.org/?q=perspectives/defending-nikkei-hugh-macbeth-and-japanese-american-internment
In early January 1942, shortly after Pearl Harbor, MacBeth travelled to Guadalupe and Santa Barbara, California to investigate the cases of Issei (first generation Japanese) rounded up by the government during December and interned in Missoula, Montana. Following interviews with the internees’ families, he discovered that those taken were prosperous farmers, and that there was no evidence of sabotage. He swiftly concluded that the removal was engineered by white agricultural interests anxious to grab the Issei farmers’ land. Outraged, MacBeth turned to organizing support for Japanese Americans among liberal and church groups. Thanks to MacBeth, the California Race Relations Commission and the Santa Barbara Minister’s Alliance would become the only two Southern California organizations to officially oppose evacuation.
In 1945, MacBeth and his son Hugh, Jr. joined JACL counsel A.L. Wirin in the case of Fred and Kojiro Oyama, who challenged California’s Alien Land Act which prevented Japanese immigrants from owning land. In February 1945, People v. Oyama, was argued in the San Diego County Superior Court. Wirin and McBeth argued that alien land laws were out of date and penalized the defendants solely because of race. The judge ruled against the Oyamas, at which point MacBeth withdrew from the case. However, the decision was appealed, and ultimately reached the U.S. Supreme Court. In January 1948 the High Court granted victory to the Japanese couple. Oyama v. California not only ended all enforcement of the Alien Land Act, but furnished an important precedent for later rulings striking down racial segregation.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/442nd_Infantry_Regiment_(United_States)
The 442nd Infantry, formerly the 442nd Regimental Combat Team of the United States Army, was an Asian American unit composed of mostly Japanese Americans who fought in Europe during World War II.[1] The families of many of its soldiers were subject to internment. The 442nd was a self-sufficient fighting force, and fought with uncommon distinction in Italy, southern France, and Germany. The unit became the most highly decorated regiment in the history of the United States Armed Forces, including 21 Medal of Honor recipients. The motto of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team was “go for broke.” It’s a gambling term that means risking everything on one great effort to win big. The soldiers of the 442nd needed to win big. They were Nisei – American-born sons of Japanese immigrants. They fought two wars: the Germans in Europe and the prejudice in America.[2]

  13. Explosive new evidence shows ruling of AZ judge illegal

In other words, the Judge in the Arizona case has absolutely no Constitutional jurisdiction over the matter upon which she ruled. As the Constitution makes abundantly clear, only the U.S. Supreme Court can issue rulings that involve a state
This means that neither Judge Bolton nor the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, to which the case is being appealed, have any legal standing whatsoever to rule on the issue.

Thus, U.S. Attorney-General Eric Holder filed the federal government’s lawsuit against the state of Arizona in a court that has no authority to hear the case

In a related development, another explosive discovery was made by those who actually take the Constitution seriously. The Constitution specifically allows an individual state to wage war against a neighboring country in the event of an invasion,SHOULD there be a dangerous delay or INACTION on the part of the federal government. This information was cited by United Patriots of America.

    ****************************************
This church in Florida is planning on burning a special book, and already there are threats of suicide bombings, etc., in retaliation. Oh, Islamists are great at burning. They burn people! I did just slight research for a couple of burning instances:
    Remember these?
    • On March 31, 2004, four men working for Blackwater USA as security guards — Scott Helvenston, Wesley Batalona, Jerry Zovko and Michael Teague — were ambushed by insurgents in Fallujah. They were killed, their bodies burned and mutilated, and two were strung up on a bridge over the Euphrates.
    • SATURDAY, 14 AUGUST 2010 12:42
    • As President announces the end of the Combat Mission in Iraq and a drawdown to 50,000 troops by the end of this month, the violence continues to pick up pace.  Insurgents have killed four policemen at checkpoints and burned two bodies. ……in Baghdad, killing four policemen and publicly burned two bodies on Sat.
Probably the most often mentioned burning by Muslims is the terrible massacre by Odinga, Obama’s cousin in Kenya.

As far as tolerance is concerned, there have been any number of writers who have incurred the wrath of Islam for SAYING (not “doing”) something that offended Muslims. Do you remember Salman Rushdie – Because of his writings an Islamic death threat was issued and he had to go into hiding for years. “After Rushdie was made a knight by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II in 2007, demonstrations broke out across the Islamic world. A government minister in Pakistan declared that Rushdie’s knighthood justifies suicide bombing.” There are others.

Perhaps it will take a provocative act by this Florida church to show to indifferent Americans what we are really facing here in the homeland.

The Wall Street Journal’s John Fund writes about “America’s Insurgent Pollster,” Scott Rasmussen.
    Key points:
Rasmussen says “that only 23 percent of the people in this country believe today’s federal government has the consent of the governed.
“Americans don’t want to be governed from the left or the right,” Scott Rasmussen tells the American Legislative Exchange Council, a conference of 1,500 conservative and moderate legislators. “They want, like the Founding Fathers, to largely govern themselves with Washington in a supporting — but not dominant — role. The tea party movement is today’s updated expression of that sentiment.”
Mr. Rasmussen tells the crowd gathered around him after his speech that the political and media elites have misread the tea party. He believes this strongly enough that he’s teamed up with Doug Schoen — a pollster for both President Bill Clinton and New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg — to publish a new book that will seek to explain the movement’s significance. “Mad as Hell” will be out early next month.

In NO WAY was [CC] agreeing with the idea of using the Japanese internment as a comparison to the mosque issue.

    =======================================

To be considerably more precise: We have been (mis)trained for more than 50 years to view the Japanese internment as one of America’s greatest guilts. ‘Everybody’ believes this. It is so entrenched that you cannot even question it. This makes the concept a powerful weapon – because you are not allowed to defend your self when you are accused of being like that.

The way it is particularly relevant to the mosque is that this false Lesson Learned is being applied to people who are against the mosque. The implication being that anybody who is against the mosque is ‘undoing’ over 50 years of ‘progress’ in which we have ‘learned’ to be better than that and not to pre-judge people – ESPECIALLY this plays into the great American Fear of PROFILING!

My original essay was meant to penetrate the fog and actually call into question the “unquestionable”. I expected to get pounded – but not from otherwise right thinking patriots. I expected to get pounded from the closet liberals who frequent here. I expected some people to be so ingrained with this philosophy that they would suck air over having the conventional wisdom questioned.

I think the bottom line to my essay is that if you/we buy into this guilt trip over the Japanese internment, then you are left pretty defenseless if you object to this mosque. You can’t just say “the two situations are entirely different”. That is a totally disingenuous argument.

That is also why I say that America is particular at risk to infiltration and “enemy within”. We have worked ourselves up into such a Politically Correct lather that we no longer have the intelligence or prudence to protect ourselves.

Very close to home – that is how we got Obama.

  26. Rassmussen and Schoen have it right. America is gaining awareness of their common bond as We the People. It has been awhile brewing and the political and media elite do not get it. They cannot get it. They have no basis for understanding it because they do not believe in our shared vision of a shining city on a hill. This renewed American vision that is within out grasp has no place for the elites who consider they know best for each of us. They cannot understand this great, no longer silent majority, that believe in the promise of America and have a firm foundation based on faith and love for ones neighbor. But the bastions of the boomer generation, the cynical and corrupt politicos, the news magazines and newspapers, the major networks are each plummeting and are grabbing onto government to keep them from drowning. Who ten years ago could imagine Newsweek being sold for one dollar and the Chicago Tribune being bankrupt! They will all drown in their own denial.

There are way too many on this site who quibble and miss the big picture. I can only presume, postings that are argumentative and off topic come from those with an agenda. It is too bad, CW had a good thing going. But I predict this fall, if Obama isn’t able to steal several hundred elections through his planned election fraud, that the Obots will crawl back to where they came from, understanding that the audience for their distractions and dirty tricks is sparse and unsustainable.

I agree with you completely; it is unfortunate that my comment was not more clearly defined. As far as Free Speech is concerned, “There are none so blind as those who will not see.” Another adage, “You can take a horse to water but you cannot make it drink.”

It is easy to be offended by a religion, any religion which discriminates against the human rights of people based on their gender or religion. To disavow or discount the humanity of another human being is the very antithesis of Jesus’ earthly message. What kind of god sanctions evil and calls it morality or righteousness? When Christians engage in the metaphorical stoning of an individual accused of immorality (whether rightly or wrongly accused), they transgress Jesus’ teaching. In Islam, such behavior is encouraged and rewarded. If America is a nation founded upon Christian principles, then we must demonstrate and vocalize how those Christian principles distinguish us from Muslim nations where human rights abuses are still sanctioned under Islamic religious teaching.
To say the foregoing, is not to place any limitation on non-violent free speech against the abuses of religion, all religions, including their barbaric religion. If the ideas contained in a sacred book are universally (perhaps the world ‘universally’ should be capitalized just empahsize how pivotal it is) accepted as being beneficial to the human race (all human beings), then the combustible paper on which those ideas are transmitted cannot be extinguished because they are timeless, irrefutable guidestones for all mankind. Tolerance, kindness, mercy, justice, equality, freedom are but a few of Jesus’ teachings.
That is why the ‘royal’ family’s complacency, or complicity in normalizing a certain religion, by either praising its environmental stewardship, or by barring individuals like Michael Savage from the UK is so troubling. Mark Steyn narrowly escaped being convicted of hate speech against that same religion and facing imprisonment. How does one refute the teachings of an alleged religion which encourages human rights abuses, if one is denied their right to speak freely against those teachings and practices?
President Obama’s praise and support for this religion is disturbing because America and Americans stand on the side of equal rights, free speech and tolerance, including religious tolerance. He was a Muslim at birth, as Franklin Graham recently asserted, something which plays well in the Muslim world because it is well accepted there that one who is Muslim at birth is always a Muslim, yet he never officially renounced Islam and he regularly praises Islam when appearing before Muslim audiences in the same self-beneficial way he covers himself with the cloak of Christianity.

  30. In the Blago retrial why should the people expect the governments case, against what is now the government, be any different than what has already been played out?

Justice has become like picking out bad apples from a tub of worm ridden apples while blindfolded and having a guide, the judge, tell the bobbing fool he can not bring out a wormy apple only one with a rotten core then having the jury dissect the rotten one only to discover it too has worms thus negating the prize despite the observers even smelling that rotten apple.

It’s time to go in after every wormy apple and if there is not a single apple left to be savored so be it. That is the only way to get rid of all the bad apples not just the ones so rotten they stink.
