I watched DG Martin interview Alena Graedon on North Carolina Bookwatch Friday night. Graedon is the author of “The Word Exchange” a novel about life in the near future in NY City after the death of print with uber destruction and manipulation of words.
Very soon I was reminded of two things. “1984” by George Orwell and the fact that the scenario presented as near future appeared too much like our current status quo.
I have toyed with the idea of writing a “1984” part 2, the rest of the story. I.E. , mostly regurgitating today’s news from the perspective of Winston or his descendant. Perhaps I will.
I am not a huge novel reader but I may pick this one up. Graedon has obviously observed where word usurpation is heading but has she connected the dots as Orwell did. I would like to know.

It sticks to the skin like a glinting silver leech, beaming digital information directly into the user’s neural pathways and mining them for data.
For a while, the afflicted don’t realize they’re sick. Accustomed to inexact language, they don’t notice when opportunistic cyberfiends from the evil consortium Synchronic, Inc., buy up the rights to every word in the dictionary and start transmitting phony neologisms into Memes, minds and mouths. What’s in it for Synchronic? Well, the linguistic profiteers (correctly) anticipate that the human compulsion to understand and to be understood is so overpowering that once incomprehensible coinages (like “vzung” “eezow,” “jeedu” and “naypek,” to name a few) start popping up on their devices and on their tongues, Meme users will pay 25 cents per word to have the nonsense-ologisms instantaneously defined. By monetizing the impulse to verbal laziness, the speculators stand to make billions. Or rather they do until their client base succumbs to the unforeseen babble pandemic. It isn’t only the synonyms; there are also the antonyms. After all, what justification is there for a word which is simply the opposite of some other word? A word contains its opposite in itself. Take “good”, for instance. If you have a word like “good”, what need is there for a word like “bad”? “Ungood” will do just as well — better, because it’s an exact opposite, which the other is not. Or again, if you want a stronger version of “good”, what sense is there in having a whole string of vague useless words like “excellent” and “splendid” and all the rest of them? “Plusgood” covers the meaning, or “doubleplusgood” if you want something stronger still. Of course we use those forms already. but in the final version of Newspeak there’ll be nothing else. In the end the whole notion of goodness and badness will be covered by only six words — in reality, only one word. Don’t you see the beauty of that, Winston? It was B.B.’s idea originally, of course,’ he added as an afterthought.
A sort of vapid eagerness flitted across Winston’s face at the mention of Big Brother. Nevertheless Syme immediately detected a certain lack of enthusiasm.
‘You haven’t a real appreciation of Newspeak, Winston,’ he said almost sadly. ‘Even when you write it you’re still thinking in Oldspeak. I’ve read some of those pieces that you write in The Times occasionally. They’re good enough, but they’re translations. In your heart you’d prefer to stick to Oldspeak, with all its vagueness and its useless shades of meaning. You don’t grasp the beauty of the destruction of words. Do you know that Newspeak is the only language in the world whose vocabulary gets smaller every year?’
Winston did know that, of course. He smiled, sympathetically he hoped, not trusting himself to speak. Syme bit off another fragment of the dark-coloured bread, chewed it briefly, and went on:
‘Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it. Every concept that can ever be needed, will be expressed by exactly one word, with its meaning rigidly defined and all its subsidiary meanings rubbed out and forgotten. Already, in the Eleventh Edition, we’re not far from that point. But the process will still be continuing long after you and I are dead. Every year fewer and fewer words, and the range of consciousness always a little smaller. Even now, of course, there’s no reason or excuse for committing thoughtcrime. It’s merely a question of self-discipline, reality-control. But in the end there won’t be any need even for that. The Revolution will be complete when the language is perfect. Thanks for posting that splendid article! Not that I needed convincing, but the writer points out many aspects that are not commonly known.
Back in 2008 when some things were coming to light about Obama, a good friend of mine kept saying “He’s a Muslim sleeper”. I didn’t disagree with him, but hastily said, “He’s a Marxist.” I asked my friend what made him think that O was a Muslim. He simply said, “If he had renounced Islam and become a Christian, he would be persecuted by the Muslims.” You can’t be both. Islam will not stand for it. To confess Christ is to be threatened with death.
Of course, I knew it, but at that time it was hard for me to reconcile his Marxist ideology with being a Muslim. Since then I’ve learned through Dean M., who contributes here, that the two have really been in cahoots for decades in one way or another. They are not diametrically opposed at all.

Come to think of it, we drove into Mexico just a very short distance on a country road that was not manned by anyone – U.S. or Mexican. A real president would have made provisions for border security first, park second. This was done on purpose by the usurper. My guess is, the usurper profits from drug,and human trafficking. The phone lines are jammed.
The American people have risen up in response to a rallying cry from Sens. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), overloading the phone lines on Capitol Hill to pressure their members of Congress to fight against President Obama’s planned executive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.
“I was on hold with the Capitol Hill switchboard about a minute or so each time I called my Representative and my two Senators,” Catharine Trauernicht, a Tea Party activist in Virginia, told Breitbart News Monday. “Typically, my calls are answered right away, but I always know that citizens have sprung into action when the switchboard recording comes on and says, ‘All of our operators are assisting other callers at this time.’”
When called by Breitbart News Monday at about 1:30 p.m., the Capitol Hill switchboard line was similarly busy.
“This shows the American people are going to resist,” a Sessions aide told Breitbart News. “The crescendo will grow. They are only beginning to be heard. They will get louder in the coming days.”
The calls are coming in response to Sen. Sessions, who last week asked the American people to rise up and pressure their elected leaders to stop the president from moving forward with any new executive amnesty. Obama has already granted executive amnesty to upwards of 800,000 illegal aliens through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program which was initiated in 2012, and this year Obama is threatening to expand DACA to five to six million illegal aliens.
“The American people have begged and pleaded for years for our laws to be enforced,” Sessions said in his statement calling for the American people to rise up. “We have people in our own country living in violence, fear and poverty every single day. They have demanded an immigration policy that puts their jobs, wages and communities first. Every citizen should pick up the phone and ask of their congressional representative: where do you stand?”
The deluge comes after Sessions’s call to melt the phone lines was reported and picked up by the Drudge Report over the weekend.

I read somewhere awhile back that there are few, if any contributions made by Muslims. He is under the delusions of grandeur. My mind is totally occupied now. They just called me and said that she is waking up from the anesthetic at the moment, We will be able to go and get her about 3;30 this afternoon.

Went to the vet hospital and picked up my little girl. Seeing her come out of the room at nearly a gallop I nearly cried. I love both of them as if they were flesh and blood. She will be wearing an elizibethan lamp shade for the next ten days but I know that if she didn’t she would have the incision tore open pretty quick. A dog is just that! Since Delores is a retired nurse she knows all the right moves.So she is the chief recovery honcho. I’ll just watch, and keep on lovin my little girl!
…..btw the surgeon removed over twenty various sizes of stones…..the largest being nearly 1/2 inch in diameter. They ranged downward to about 1/8 inch in diameter. They look like various sizes of white pebbles. I once sufferred from a bladder stone which turned out to be about the size of a ping pong ball. I also know how I felt while it was there. Surgical intervention was also done on me to remove it. So if she felt like I did we done her a real favor. I only had ONE she had over twenty.

When we got attacked at Pearl Harbor, we dropped the atom bomb twice on Japan to end the war. We killed many to save lives. Estimates were that a million American lives were saved, probably including my father who was on a Navy ship in the Pacific ready to invade Japan, if need be. After London was being bombed by Germany, we had to fire bomb Dresden to stop the Germans. Sometimes one has to do terrible things to save more lives. When we shoot terrorists with drones, we often kill civilians. Israel is doing all it can to save civilian lives, but Hamas is doing everything it can to destroy civilian lives so this will not be a painless war in Gaza. You can’t have a war where no one is killed. Obama says Israel has a right to defend itself, but he doesn’t want anyone killed. No one does, except Hamas. Israel will have to do what is necessary to destroy Hamas despite Obama’s best efforts to save Hamas. Even the very liberal EU wants Hamas disarmed.

You are absolutely right . The Warthog is a real badass ground support aircraft. We had a squadron of them at the 122 Tactical fighter wing Air guard base right here in Fort Wayne. Two years ago they had an airshow and had a Warthog on the flight line with the surrounding hood open to show what the Gau 8 really looked like. I was allowed to see it close up,and as I said you don’t need much imagination to realise the level of death and destruction that the GAU 8 is capable of in a very short….. 100 round burst of only a couple of seconds. Recently the Warthog Squadron was moved to another area,and the 122 was given back their now antiquated F-16s, which allegedly were UPGRADED. So now we on the ground will be once again traeated to the thunder of afterburners,instead of the whine of the Warthog’s engines. We live only about a mile,and a half from the Fort Wayne International Airport, and we are not very far removed from the approach to runway 22. The KC 135s from Grissom used to come up here to shoot landings. The early KCs had the Rolls Royce engines which generated close to 125 decibels of noise for close to 3000 feet in several directions. The scream of the Rolls Royce engines would nearly deafen a person,if the aircraft passed directly overhead. Both the Air Guard,as well as the tower received so many complaints from people on the ground that the big birds were finally vectored to other more remote airports to shoot landings. The Warthog group also had a couple of good ole C-130 Hercs to take parts to other groups or to fetch parts from distribution centers. The C-130 is a really rugged airplane and is relatively quiet. It is much quieter than an old C-54 piston engine airplanes.

If anybody knows about NC it would probably be you. I have been there only a few times,and each time it was to see a high school buddy at Camp Lejeune, which is close by Jacksonville. He and his wife had a very tiny house which they rented(in the late 1950s). At the time they had no children so he said it wasn’t as bad as it looked. He was discharged only a month after I was.

I want to pass along some very important news that everyone needs to hear!
In December of 2017, Donald Trump made history by recognizing Jerusalem as the captial of Israel. Why is this big news? Because by this the Jewish people of Israel are now able to press forward in bringing about the Third Temple prophesied in the Bible.

The Bible says this false Messiah who seats himself in the Third Temple will be thee antichrist that will bring about the Great Tribulation, though the Jewish people believe he will bring about world peace. It will be a false peace for a period of time. You can watch interviews of Jewish Rabbi’s in Israel speaking of these things. They have their plans set in place. It is only years away!
More importantly, the power that runs the world wants to put a RFID microchip in our body making us total slaves to them. This chip matches perfectly with the Mark of the Beast in the Bible, more specifically Revelation 13:16-18:
