Leo Haffey’s wife has reported to me that she was pressured, threatened and intimidated by a lawyer in Nashville who was a neighbor of Leo’s, Brent Horst. Mr. Horst wanted Mrs. Haffey to make false reports to authorities and file charges against her husband that were not truthful.
I have read two written accounts of what happened and I have verified with Mrs. Haffey that she wrote these accounts. I have also interviewed Mrs. Haffey and she has made it very clear that she was pressured to exaggerate an incident and file reports with law enforcement and the courts that she would not have said or done on her own.
In addition to the false charges that were the subject of threats and intimidation aimed at Mrs. Haffey, Brent Horst, his wife, and another neighbor are also accused of making false charges of their own in a separate cases.”

A Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus would be the more appropriate venue for Leo.
It is a right that is guaranteed and is the most extraordinary writ the law allows. In this case the petition would go before a different judge. If the writ is not granted, it must be immediately appealed as this is a right guaranteed under Article I, Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution.
And I would also add that Leo needs to state in his writ the Department of INjustice is in direct violation of Amendment VI which states:

First of all, if the family member is showing any unusual symptoms, the first line of defense is to make an appt., with the family doctor, or PCP, for a blood and urine screening.
What’s done from there will depend on the results of the tests.
Could you tell me if the family member remembers the *vial* used to withdraw his/her shot into the syringe? I ask, because the 10-shot vials contain the preservative, Thimerosal, while the single-dose vials contain none. If the person remembers, that will tell us how to proceed.

Go to AXJ Rocks. It’s a website I’m unfamiliar with and it’s confusing so I posted the article. It’s about Orly scheduling an emergency hearing with Carter.
Everyone I spoke to in Honduras this past month was against Zelaya. The emotion were very strong. Several hoped that he would be killed.
Given what I saw and heard, Zelaya is not wanted. He stole millions. It was discovered when the people needed help after the recent earthquake.
I heard nothing on Honduran radio stations that indicated that it was remotely possible for Zelaya to return.
People there were very disappointed in Obama for supporting Zelaya. Two people called Obama a socialist like Chavez seeking a dictatorship.
Given the state of world politics anything is possible but Zelaya’s return would create a lot of problems in Honduras.
Most of the Zelaya “supporters” were paid to be in the streets. When the money stopped, demonstrations dropped off quickly.
I am fairly certain he will not return. (I have been wrong before.)

In reading your account of the goings on relating to the statements of Leo’s wife who alleges that she was “pressured,and otherwise intimidated” by Mrs Horst who was attempting to force Leo’s wife to file charges against her own husband. I have a little problem with this notion. First I can’t imagine anyone allowing themselves to be FORCED, PRESSURED,OR INTIMIDATED into filing alleged charges against their own spouse. Putting myself into this equation; such a person would invite a size 10 being angrily administered to their backside, which would then propel the person off of my property. That would seem to me to be a pretty straight forward reaction from anyone who was genuinely in their spouse’s corner, if you see what I am really questioning. This seems to say that they have some sort of evidence, or material which provides them with an incentive to attempt to INTIMIDATE someone. See what I mean? T hasten to add that this is only a thought that resulted from reading the words PRESSURED,and INTIMIDATED. If someone had no useable ammo, he wouldn’t be able to intimidate anyone to start with. Granted a person can attempt to intimidate someone, but without anything to back it up he/she is essentially shoveling manure against the tide.

While the President’s approval ratings have fallen recently among all age groups, this drop was the sharpest decline of any age demographic.
And yet, President Obama still gets his strongest support from young Americans, with 60 percent of people under 30 still approving of the job he is doing. But the recent economic and public opinion trends provide a huge opportunity for Republicans to make up some ground with the youngest generation of voters. The GOP’s challenge, however, is to stay on message as they sweet talk young Americans.
For the past two years, the economy and jobs have consistently been at the top of young voters’ list of most important issues. Even before this financial crisis began, when unemployment rates were not so alarmingly high, young Americans ranked “jobs and the economy” as their number one issue. In November 2007, 18 percent of 18-29 year olds put it at the top of their list; by September 2008, that number climbed to 29 percent. And the economy certainly tops the priority list now, with skyrocketing unemployment and America’s youngest workers facing weeks, months, and even years of joblessness that could have detrimental effects on their long-term earning potential. There are 1.1 million job seekers that are new to the workforce and have not found a job.
A survey by the Young Republican National Federation at the beginning of this year showed that 23 percent of Young Republicans wanted their party to focus on job creation and the economy. Only 6 percent of these young party activists thought the GOP should focus on social issues. (And social conservatives were well represented in the survey.) For young voters of all social stripes, it seems it is a matter of priorities.
Recession or no recession, young Americans care most about jobs. And if Republicans take advantage of this opportunity to talk competently and confidently about the economy, the party has a chance to break young America’s love affair with Obama and win these voters back to the GOP.
As a candidate, Barack Obama captured the hearts, minds, and votes of the youngest Americans, in no small part simply by talking to them. In many ways, President Obama has stopped talking to young people, largely leaving them out of important conversations likehealthcare reform as he focuses on senior citizens. And we all know that communication is the key to any healthy relationship. It’s time for the GOP to start communicating with young voters – and it is abundantly clear what these voters want to talk about.

In what may be the ultimate job rating, 43 percent of voters say that they would vote to re-elect President Obama if the 2012 election were held today, down from 52 percent six months ago, from April 22-23, 2009.
Obama’s job approval rating comes in at 49 percent this week. That’s down just one percentage point from late September, but it marks a new low approval for the president — and the first time the Fox News poll has measured his approval below 50 percent.
Moreover, the number of Americans saying they would vote to re-elect President Obama has dropped. If the election were held today the poll finds more voters say they would back someone else in the 2012 election than would back the president.
Despite winning the Nobel Peace Prize last Friday, the latest Fox News poll finds the president’s ratings on foreign issues are lower than his overall job ratings. All in all, 49 percent of Americans say they approve of the job President Obama is doing and 45 percent disapprove. His average approval for the term so far is 58 percent.
On Afghanistan, 41 percent of Americans say they approve of the job Obama is doing and 43 percent disapprove. For his handling of Iran, 44 percent approve and 43 percent disapprove. On the president’s handling of the economy, voters are almost equally split: 48 percent approve and 49 percent disapprove. On health care, some 42 percent approve of the president’s performance and half disapprove, 50 percent.

In no way do I impugn what is going on with thos poor people. I had long ago thought our society was more civilised than that. But I can see what you mean about shooting the messenger. Perhaps I am guilty of trying to read too much into casual verbs,when we should be looking at adjectives. This thought was one of those that everybody has experienced at least once in their lives wherein there is a little thing in the back of your mind that suddenly stands up, and says LOOKY ME. I hate to say this, but I personally believe they should raise the age of voting. I just think that you need to have a few years of paying taxes, paying your own way ( not Mommy and Daddy) buying groceries, buying gas, etc… and have a little of life’s lessons under your belt before you can vote. The election of 2008 had a ton of kids still in high school, living at home out voting. I’m sorry and hope I don’t offend anyone, but I strongly believe the voting age should be at least 25 years old.

The Kenya article is authentic. But don’t over value it. Five years ago one African reporter said Obama was born in Kenya. It doesn’t really prove anything.

It explains how the data used by the various reporting agencies is misleading. I would go out on a limb and say somewhat erroneous.
Unfortunately some health care professionals fall victim to regurgitating these misleading values right before they inject their patients with the vaccine.

See, the problem is, who said he was born in Kenya? If this is a bona fide report then, the reporter said it. Based on what evidence? But it still does not mean, he was born in Kenya; or that any evidence exists that would tend to prove, he was born in Kenya. See what I mean?
2. Dr. Fukino’s statement calling BO a NBC.
I pointed out earlier Leo’s reliance on this statement as compelling an opening up of the records was misplaced, for several reasons, including that, this statement could have been based on the fact, NP certified he was a NBC. Well, here’s what a commenter wrote on Leo’s blog.
Stay focused. The issue is not eligibility but election fraud. If you cannot establish BO is a NBC, neither did anyone from the D party who said he was, just to get state election officials to print his name on the primary (in SC) or general election ballot.

We don’t need Obama to show us how to make Kenya a great country

So America’s Barack Obama is in Africa, but he has snubbed Kenya? The US President is in Ghana at the time of your reading this piece. His spokespersons say his visit to the former Gold Coast is a reward for Ghana’s alleged democratic credentials. Kenya has been asked to style up before Obama can favour us with a visit. How so strange?
Nigerians are up in arms. They, too, have been sidestepped. They have been asked to style up before the political wonder boy of our age can favour them with a visit. A Nigerian official was heard lamenting on the BBC this week to the effect that if Obama truly wants them to style up, he should visit with them and show them how and where to style up.
But all this American talk about democratic styling up is a lot of fudge. I have personally never been enthralled by the Obama phenomenon. I do not even believe that Obama is such an extra-ordinary human being. What was he recently doing in Egypt the other day? Egypt is the headquarters of dictatorship and emergency laws in Africa. But Americans thrive on contradictions and double speak, from Guatemala and Honduras and from Chile and Nicaragua, all the way to Zaire. They have been associated with some of the worst regimes in history and will remain so for a long time to come. Obama is only the latest custodian of American doublespeak.
Obama is an ordinary human being who is gifted with above average abilities. He only happens to be in the right place at the right time, in a place where people appreciate such abilities as he possesses. I have written before that we do not have a paucity of individuals in Kenya today with the same abilities as Obama boasts of – perhaps even better. The only difference is that this country cannot recognise such people, or give them space. The same is true of Nigeria and of every African nation. African eyes cannot recognise gifted persons in their midst.. They therefore crave offshore heroes – in sport, music, dance and drama and in politics.
That is how we get to be led by coteries of people who are concerned with political advantage rather than with the construction of functional States. You have in Kenya a President and Prime Minister who look on as our water towers are wasted away because they seek political advantage from the Rift Valley community. Rift Valley leaders have themselves put the noose around everybody’s neck, yet nobody dares tell them, because of pursuit for political advantage.
From Lamu to Busia and from Kisii to Mandera, leaders and citizens alike are mesmerised by ethnic and regional identities where the national good should be what counts.
If it were not so, we would not crave a visit by some foreigner whose existence we did not even know of ten years ago..
We have no shame to claim him as ‘our own American’. But what do you expect when the entire nation delights in tribal nothing?

Africans delight in illegitimate and corrupt leadership, so long as the man in charge is from ‘my community’. People like Mobutu were brazenly illegitimate and corrupt. They did not pretend about gentrifying themselves with fake elections .
But what is the difference between Mobutu and a gentleman who hurriedly gets sworn in, in hiding, after a counterfeit election? And there will be enough people out there arguing for his legitimacy. Deep down, in his heart of hearts, such a man should know that he fraudulently sits on the throne, be he in Harare or elsewhere in Africa. He is spurious and that is why his people deflect their admiration to strangers from America.
But a populace that celebrates the thrift of spurious and superfluous political parties , provided they have a tribal owner, cannot be let off the hook for the miasma that is life in Africa. It is in these spurious vehicles that bankrupt leaders travel to power. If you should be from their tribe, you speak a different language to your doom. When such characters ascend to the throne, without exception in Africa, they make the State their personal property.
They institute personalised rule in which their spouses are more powerful than people’s elected leaders. A First Lady can hire and fire key staff in State offices. Political order is maintained by fiat, through sadistic State apparatus.
Societies that condemn themselves with this kind of comatose leadership have no business admiring strangers from offshore and yearning for a visit from people like Obama. In the final analysis, Obama is an American president like all others before him. He is in Ghana to ingratiate himself with the present generation of American African slaves of yesteryear, through visiting their ancestral lands. He already came to Kenya to sanitise his own ancestry ahead of his successful presidential bid. He did not want this to be an election issue. He has been to dictatorial Egypt to pacify the Islamic world. There is nothing to bring him to Kenya, and I doubt that it is important for him to come to Kenya – to bring what? Ultimately, our destiny is in our own hands.
We can make this country anything we want it to be. Yes, we can, and we do not need Barack Hussein Obama to show us how.

How ‘Standard’ helped make Obama known

In mid-2006, as the Kenyan Press buckled under Government repression, then US Senator Barack Obama visited the country and expressed solidarity with journalists.
Several journalists were on trial for libel and a raft of other charges.
Then of course there was the attack on the Standard Group in March 2006, disabling the firm’s TV station.
The regime, through then Security Minister John Michuki, justified the raids on yet-to-be-explained “national security grounds”.
Obama’s message to the Government during his visit, which ranged from a critique on poverty, corruption and tribalism engendered by the regime and how these had contributed to failed policies since independence, alarmed the Kibaki Government.
During a speech at the University of Nairobi, Obama urged Kenyans to oppose corruption and ethnic divisions in Government.
He warned Kenya and other African countries that they would never thrive if their citizens cannot count on the Government to deliver services fairly, regardless of their tribal background or ability to pay bribes.
“In the end, if the people cannot trust their government to do the job for which it exists – to protect them and to promote their common welfare – all else is lost,” Obama had said.
Besides dismissing Obama as an opposition sympathiser, State officials considered him a gadfly and self-styled expert on Kenyan affairs.
Interestingly, The Standard was the first newspaper to recognise Obama on January 19, 2004, when he ran for Senate, and helped make him a household name.
Endorsement
This campaign climaxed in KTN and Standard Group’s endorsement of Obama in the presidential elections in prime time and page-1 editorials on November 3, last year.
The endorsements were not just an acknowledgement of local journalists’ debt to Obama when he stood in solidarity with democracy and press freedom on his visit to I&M on August 28, 2006, but also in recognition of his inspiring message of hope that he so refreshingly delivered to his country, and the world.
Obama’s message on the visit to the Standard Group was notable for its clarity, depicting a man not used to hiding behind the false argument of diplomatic etiquette — who did not fear being labelled when expressing his mind.
“What happened here at the Standard Group,” he said referring to the March 2 raid, “was not just an attack on the Standard Group, but an attack on the concept of the free Media.”
Heavy hand
He said there can be no justification for the “heavy hand of the State” to be loosed upon a free media for doing that threatens democracy itself.
“Democracy cannot function properly without a free Press,” he said and declared, “I am in solidarity with you.”
Obama returned to the US and in 2007, he declared his interest in running for the presidency, setting off a tough duel with Democratic Party challenger, Hillary Clinton.
Obama, who traces his roots to Kenya, went on to clinch the party’s ticket and the ultimate prize on November 5.
On November 5, last year, a day after his victory in the White House race, Paul Melly, Standard Group Deputy Chairman and Strategy Adviser who met Obama during the 2006 visit, hailed the president-elect as a herald of a global reawakening and lesson for Kenya’s troubled electoral politics.
Besides’ teaching Kenyans about tolerance, openness and perseverance, the US poll outcome taught the need to “respect the will of the people as a cornerstone of democracy”.
Mr Melly said the Obama Administration should “invigorate positive engagement and provide leadership in resolving global challenges”.

It seems Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America (via a sleepy village in Kenya called Nyang’oma K’Ogelo) can do no wrong. The question on everyone’s lips — mine too — this weekend is “Does Obama deserve the Nobel Peace Prize?”
Everyone is asking: Why Obama? What has he done? What has he achieved? How can the Nobel people be so smitten with the man? As I was listening to the BBC when the news broke, I found myself smiling. All the newsreaders were slightly incredulous. You could hear a tone in their voice that suggested the news editor had made a mistake, filing an April Fool’s story in October. However, their professionalism soon took over and it became a ‘real story’, complete with congratulatory quotes from the likes of Hamid Karzai, Angela Merkel, and others.
The story got me thinking about the famous saying: ‘a week is a long time in politics’.
What a week for the man… on Monday people had written off our famous ‘son’ because his charm had failed to convince the International Olympic Committee and the gods on Mount Olympus that Chicago deserved the 2016 Olympics. Come Friday, and howzat! To use a cricketing phrase that I hear my husband use when he is excited, the Nobel Committee was clean bowled (middle stump, bails flying) with the literal first bowl of the first over – Obama convinced the Norse gods in Valhalla that he deserved perhaps the biggest individual prize available. I think someone up there was smiling at the irony of it all… A neophyte wins what many people have aspired to… you could hear the surprise in his statement broadcast soon thereafter to the world. He said he was ‘surprised and humbled’ by the award.
‘This Obama mania has got to stop’, I heard a few people say on the radio. What can one man do? How can they award him such an important prize when the past few months have been a failure? The US is about to implode, they said, with a fratricidal fight (a new civil war to be blamed on black people?) about healthcare, precipitated by his inaction and lack of leadership. The Middle East peace process is a shambles. He has been snubbed by the Israelis, Saudis, Iranians, North Koreans… We even had the temerity to tell the new kid on the block to have diplomatic manners! It was suggested that he should decline the award because it is ‘premature’. I even heard an American suggesting on the BBC that the award should have gone to former US President George Bush because at least he did ‘something’ with his presidency (as if running the whole world into a big hole in eight short years can be described as just ‘something’)!
In choosing to honour President Obama out of 205 possible nominees, the Nobel Committee stated: “Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future. His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population. “We are awarding Obama for what he has done,” the Nobel Committee said. “Many other people and leaders and nations have to respond in a positive way” to Obama’s diplomacy.
Fancy words. Full of meaning, extolling the virtues of hope and a desire for a better world than the world in which we live that is full of trouble and despair. One can call it a wake up call to the world, similar to the call the Nobel Prize Committee made in 2004 when they honoured one lady from the slopes of Mount Kenya called Wangari Muta Maathai, for planting trees and calling for a better use of our fragile planet’s resources. What more can be said about the need to create a better, more sustainable world? As the world’s greatest consumer of all resources, the US needs to lead the way in all spheres to reduce the strain placed on our global ecosystem. Can he do it? Will the Americans let him? I wonder.
If the Americans cannot agree on something as fundamental as healthcare for all, something that even a poor nation like Kenya strives to provide for its citizens, can these most wasteful of human beings accept a change in lifestyle, even for their own good? Only time will tell.
